High time that any further payments, such as development aid is no longer handed over to countries with high birth rates that cannot provide for their people. If and when an effective system of birth control is in place , monitored by the U.N., should aid payments continue. China has demonstrated that birth control can be made to work. Political correctness , religious belief systems and corrupt regimes have so far prevented common sense to have the upper hand, especially in Africa. If this continues, mankind and wildlife everywhere will increasingly struggle and ultimately perish.

The FG is indeed allergic to development, but the problem goes deeper than that, it extends to tribal and regional sabotage by the head of state or president in power, politics and shallow an shortsighted thinking to make sure one region doesn't develop faster than their or other regions.

What happened to the 1st Lagos Metro Rail system back in the 80's was pure tribalism and sabotage to slow down progress in the SW.

Lagos state lost millions of dollars on that project and in fact, till recently the FG was still deducting funds from that project from Lagos state's allocations, same with the Lagos state's first 271MW IPP, we are still paying for FG sabotage with allocation deductions.

Look at Dangote refinery in Lagos, this is the largest investment in AFRICA at the moment, we are talking about the largest single refinery in the world, largest petrochemicals, fertilizer plants in Africa costing over $14 billion.

The point is, this project was slated for Olokola FTZ in Ondo state, but the silly PDP state and governor played games endlessly with the project before Fashola jumped in and did everything under the sun to divert the project and Dangote to Lagos. That was a major investment coup and Mimiko should forever bury his head in shame.

Like I said before, Lagos don't give up, they just keep coming back regardless of the set back.

Eko o ni baje is not just a slogan, it's a state of mind, way of life, culture and call to duty...

Now i know why Mimiko no longer command respect in Ondo state, Jeez what was he thinking?.

Crab mentality, sometimes referred to as crabs in the bucket (also barrel, basket or pot), is a way of thinking best described by the phrase, "if I can't have it, neither can you." The metaphor refers to a bucket of crabs. Individually, the crabs could easily escape from the bucket, but instead they grab at each other in a useless "king of the hill" competition which prevents any from escaping and ensures their collective demise. The analogy in human behavior is claimed to be that members of a group will attempt to negate or diminish the importance of any member who achieves success beyond the others, out of envy, spite, conspiracy, or competitive feelings, to halt their progress.

Your post reeks of ignorance, largely because you don't understand the scheme of things. Before anything, Tinubu is a Yoruba man whose people would stand by him regardless of political ideologies. Fayose hates the APC but was quick to defend Tinubu, despite the fact that Tinubu's party is in disarray. Perhaps you might not understand that the whole of Afenifere would stand behind Asiwaju against Northern supremacists. The obvious winner would be the West because whoever they align with stands. Aisha Buhari's outburst is solely because of this.

Any talk of reconciliation between PMB and Tinubu is a risk to the blood pressure of Fayose, FFK, Afenifere et al.

The SW must consolidate on its gains from aligning with the centre which are already emerging viz a viz several resurrected projects and management of the most important portfolios in this government. The wisdom of Pa Akande will surely help guide the meeting towards a fruitful end.

Sadly for people like you, Lagos is shouldering the leadership failures in your states, towns and villages and your poor and jobless people can not put food on the table unless they enter the next bus heading to Lagos to add to the already congested situation in Lagos, to overstretch the already stretched infrastructure, health systems, roads, bridges, schools and and so on..

Or you are just too clueless to understand that Lagos can not keep up with the influx from all over Nigeria hence gridlocks, homelessness, lack of housing, not enough schools, not enough jobs and so on.

Lagos can actually fix this meaningless influx, all that the government needs to do is make frustrating laws like more and more lastma, kai packma flogma crazema and what have you grin grin grin

Lagos is spending billions every year catering to FG neglects like roads, bridges and so on when in fact the money should be going to housing for the poor, job creation and other alleviating programs that in return generates more more for Nigerians and Nigeria as a country.

More money for Lagos means more money for Nigeria.

More money for Nigeria means more FG projects and services in your towns amd villlages.

Beats me why you people reason so shallow and grossly backward to even hurt and deny yourself.

That's it, just look at how many jobs Mills like that will create with such huge amount? But greedy and quick money is playing fast one there too while our so called importers like those Lebanese and Indians with the collaborations of corrupt government agencies make it possible for them to do. And most of the rice they bring in are fake, expired rice that has been in the ban for 10s of years .just look even at many chocolate too. No single or standard chocolate factories in South West or Nigeria as a whole while they bring junks for us and even come here to repackage it in their house.
I was with a Lebanese client 3 years ago in Apapa, I know he does some dirty importation like bringing nearly expired chocolates from abroad and supply shops like shoprite and goodies and so on. I even heard he repackage some expired goods that even come through boarders .
Imagine this guy was threatening a nafdac official with hire assassin because the guy seized his goods? I was hearing his conversation on phone and I was boiling in my mind. No agency can stop him as he claimed because he is very wealthy and influence.
The country needs to stop many of these to improve our local production and empower our youths, no matter how. China did not become an industrial hub in one day or by relying on foreign goods that can be produced locally.
NIGGER- RIANS are too short sighted to understand what you are saying, THEY WANT IT ALL EASY, THEY DON'T KNOW THAT HARD WAY IS THE ONLY WAY.
