Buhari: APP to ANPP, flight to CPC to APC and then to what?
PDP = PDP 14 yrs and still counting.

Was it the formation of PDPGF that made them unstable? Gbawe and others that always talk about global politics, what brand is this and where is it copied from?

By the time they fail woefully in 2015 maybe they'll be thinking of registering a parallel PDP if they can confuse Nigerians.

Tinubu should better shut up and address his instability and recurrent betrayals. Nonesense!#ShamelessTwainMusketeers#!

eldoradoxx: It makes real sense my broda joor !!! Tinubu can only be relevant in SW where unknown personalities who came from relative obscurity became Governor through Asiwaju's rigging machinery and same people owe him total loyalty even when he is obviously goofing. Same man was a failure in Lagos state and it took his stooge Fashola's determined quest to redeem Lagos fromTinubus inglorious regime, to save his master's face. Politics is not a game of tribal or regional championship. Let him come to the centre let's see how popular he is outside Yoruba land.

Desola: Let's face it, every region in Nigeria knows that the future or demise of this country lies in the hands of the west. We are the glue that keeps this country together and if we are dissatisfied and want out, only us can bring the nation to its knees. We have been the calming force and rational mind of this nation and devoid of us, there is no unity; no progress.

Jonathan have tried to instigate the ibos to an uprising but he now sees that the tiger that woke up in the okoro man in the civil war has been laid to rest. No amount of bombs in the North is going to make these people stand to defend themselves. His last hope is the west and the only way to do it is to put our backs up against the wall. If Yoruba is clever like I think it is, it would look beyond the propaganda that boko haram is the North and look at jonathan and his ambitious neighbours squarely in the face and call a spade a spade. The north have the most to lose if it chooses to leave. The north sees that Jonathan is spurring them for a fight but they are clever to play it cool by not responding to his lies that the north is trying to destabilise his government. They want to patiently wait for their turn in 2015 (of course jonathan have now taught them that once you get power, you must never let it go).

It is inevitable that Nigeria is unsustainable and patch as we may, it would still crumble but Jonathan using the west to do his dirty work would not work. He has his militants and the ladies bag carrying massob so he can go to work if he's brave enough. Any attempt to bring the west into this nonsense would see his swamp levelled and his kinfolk wiped out of the history of not only Nigeria but mankind in general.

A word is enough for the wise but we know that Jonathan is a f00l!
Oruko ta ma so omo eni inu eni lon ngbe, the security plans of the sw should not be a subject of discussion on cyber space, try to be more discreet next time.
Bomb will not detonate in Yoruba land, whoever conceive such idea will die nursing such ambition, it will not happen because those whom God have bless, no man can curse.

violent: The president has just descended to new lows with this latest decision. Thousands of innocent people have been killed by rascals who have no obvious motives beyond bigoted religious ones; While several Families have watched their world thrown into disarray and would mourn their beloved ones for the rest of their days, the President makes the most repulsing decision one could ever think of - Grant pardon to these murderers!

In order words, Mr President is saying to the families of the victims to f**k off! No hope for Justice for them now or ever! in order words their loss! - Those victims? As far as Mr President is concerned, mere statistics!

I have heard someone say "A corpse is just a corpse until that corpse is your pops" - these words have never been truer! Perhaps if Mr President have at one point in time or the order, had to pick up pieces of his wife or kids body parts blown apart by rascals pursuing bigoted religious motives, perhaps he may have found the decision to grant pardon to these murderers a tasteless repulsive one? who knows?
Posterity shall Judge. As for me, any little respect I have left for the President has just gone through the window!
This is the only way out for JEG and he knows it, I only pitied those that died from boko bombings.
This is a lesson to all an sundry, when you are making an agreement, be sure you can stand by your word.

macnicks: May the souls of those killed rest in peace. It is worrisome on this development because while I served in that community as NYSC member, the two neigbours were very united. It was then that the rumour of antagonism concerning the oil began. It was learnt that kogi government was persuading the closest neighbours to aguleri ie Ashonwo/Odeke to commence war against the aguleri in a bid to avoid the commission of the oil wells by the president Goodluck Jonathan. But against the state demands the odeke/ashonwo refused such frivolous demands by citing how good neighbours they were to the agulerians and beside there is no boundary issue with its neighbours aguleri. I was surprise to see this war captions over the newspapers. During the flooding aguleri neighbours especially the Ashonwo and Odeke were all hosted in aguleri/ umuleri community and were seriously taken care of. I am really not happy with my people for invading the aguleri people without warning. The Idiah and Igala people cannot have regard on us the way aguleri has on us, to them we are uneducated minority. The truth is hard to but i won't shine away from saying it. We share many economic ties with the agulerians than the kojis. I have written to Ashonwo/ Odeke and copied to the state government to call for settlement without delay and apologize to aguleri people without hesitation. If kogi state has any grievance they should Channel it to the right quarters and stop using local people as a stooge against their peace and survival. My hands are clean.
AT LAST, A SENSIBLE CONTRIBUTION, GOD BLESS YOU BROTHER.

politician: Tinubu saw the lacuna in the power-grabbing structure of Nigeria and explored it!!

1)By retiring the old horses in AG/AD, he paved way for young folks to come to mainstream politics in SW...even obasanjo said it while presenting Gbenga Daniel vs osoba.

2) You can't lead a rebellion and still partake in governance...he understands this rule, hence the godfather mantra..if tinubu should contest for any elective post, he is done for...

3)the principle of meritocracy as against democracy in party candidature is also his strong point.. forget the sharing of rice every week oooo, ACN is the party that gives you a chance based on competency and loyalty..no room for gerontocrats

i remember caravan telling elders in oyo at Drovans that ...... only dogs of this age can chase rabbits of this age...

aye wetie ti lo ooooo.. aye awon omowe ni a wa!!

hence present your sons and daughters that are educated..

And can hardly presents candidates without in-built back up plan, once u don't remit, no second term.

Tinbu matches pdp money for money, thug for thug and rigging for rigging..

he clearly marks his territory and makes his subjects believes that their view thus count..

like DK said, better candidate who has proven their mettle and thus always deliver...bobo fash and now..jimmy boy (yes jimi agbaje, forget all dos banire noise, the blueprint is on already).

finally, jagaban told ganiyu Solomon to forget minority leader and the former governor of benue was given the post to strengthen ACN in north central...that's how he operates..

and he knows his limit, and never forget the streets where majority of the votes come from...

hence he loves slogans...

Jeun soke!!! chop up..

eni to ba bawa jeun soke, a jeun sapo...
if u follow us chop up, u go chop for pocket..
grin

Gba won sonu!!!
pinrin ko si oshi, ara won no oshi wa..

sloganeering for the streets, educated candidates for the elites..
rough politics for the opponents... recipe of a good opposition leader..

No Yoruba has the power to stop or influence a break-up as things stand.

Right now, we have an Ijaw President and for the first time since the 60s, a central set-up relatively dominated by Igbos, why aren't these people working assiduously towards breaking up the union?

Politics › Re: Be Ready To Either Park Out Or Jump Out Of Aso Rock In 2015 - Northern Elders by 7lives: 4:29pm On Mar 30, 2013
RICHIE BOI: Jonathan should just be ready to either park out or jump out of Aso Rock.
He should be ready to fight a unified north in 2015.
the region should be allowed to conclude its eight years and anything short of that would not be acceptable.

The Northern Elders’ Forum (NEF) has sounded a warning to President Goodluck Jonathan, telling him that he would have to contend with a unified north should he insist on seeking another term in 2015.

NEF spokesman, Prof Ango Abdullahi, gave this warning yesterday in Kaduna during an exclusive interview with our correspondent.

Commenting on why the north is putting its act together in order to present a formidable team, Abdullahi said, “We are trying now to unify our people (northerners) that have been divided along ethnic and religious lines in the last two years.

And very soon you will hear the north talking from one platform.

“President Jonathan should just be ready to either park out or jump out of Aso Rock. He should be ready to fight a unified north in 2015.”

He further expressed the group’s belief that the insurgency in the north was being fuelled as a strategy to stigmatise the region.

“From all indications, the president has already stigmatised some parts of the country as being Boko Haram, and that everything about the violence in the north must be Boko Haram, but we know that the original Boko Haram by Mohammed Yusuf is not solely responsible for all the bombings that have been taking place.

“The Boko Haram syndrome may be a strategic plan to portray the north as morally unfit to rule; it is also a strategic plan to divide the country along north and south, or along religious and ethnic lines,” he said, adding that those behind such evil act would regret their actions in due time.

Abdullahi, a former vice chancellor of the Ahmadu Bello University (ABU), Zarai, further claimed that President Jonathan was always known as somebody who likes to take sides.

According to him, “Jonathan is only a theoretical president of Nigeria; but, practically, he has demonstrated that he is a president of a section of the country. He has always spoken in defence of his Niger Delta people. He is always fond of exonerating his people.

“You can see a president exonerating a criminal such as the October 1 bombings in 2010. He has also come out to say that Boko Haram has infiltrated his government, and that Boko Haram members are in his government, the Army, the Police and even in the Villa. This we know is a strategy to stigmatise any candidate from the north come 2015.”

On whether Jonathan should contest the 2015 presidential election, Abdullahi said, “Whether Jonathan is free to contest the 2015 election or not is the business of Bamagan Tukur; all we are hoping is that he is not speaking on behalf of the people of the north.

“If Bamagan Tukur is familiar with the history of zoning by his party since 1999, one would be surprised that Bamagan Tukur, who comes from this part of the country, is talking about Jonathan contesting election in 2015. But then, that is the business of the PDP.

The people of north would certainly take a decision to bring a consensus candidate come 2015.”
He further argued that the region should be allowed to conclude its eight years and anything short of that would not be acceptable.

“The north gave former President Olusegun Obasanjo his full eight years; it is only normal that the north should be allowed to conclude our eight years, started by the late President Umaru Yar’Adua,” he said.

On Niger State Governor Babangida Aliyu’s insistence that President Jonathan had signed a one-term agreement, Abdullahi said that the governor’s revelation may be have emanated from the pressure being mounted on the governors by the northerners.

“Thank God, Babangida has revealed that there was a pact between the governors and Jonathan that they would support him in 2011 election on condition that he will only do one term.

It is now time for other northern governors to follow suit because there will be more pressure from northerners. They have to come together and listen to the voice of the people,” he added.

Billyonaire: I do not mind if the Igbos called it ethnic cleansing, it has happened so many times and they had largely been the victims.

I totally understand if this time there was a mistake and other tribes like Yorubas were also involved. This "I dont care" attitudes from the Western Elders is worrisome. I guess they think they are not the target of Boko Haram. But I want all to remember that, just as the Northern Oligarchs ignore or intentionally decided not to condemn and disown Boko Haram, their towns and cities have been bombed and destroyed.
One wonders if the Yorubas understand that their silence on the issues translates to an invitation on Boko Haram to invade the West. Little wonder Boko Haram decided to visit Lagos. But there is one thing I know for sure, Boko Haram will never visit the Niger Delta, because we of that extraction condemn it in strong terms, they wont find loyalists in our homes. Can I say the same about the West ? Your guess, is as good as mine.
YOU ARE FUNNY, let me ask you this simple question, have you seen the boko haram manifesto?, they want to rid the north of anything that is not Islamic, now if every Hausa man is supposedly a Muslim, the only thing that boko haram will have to remove will be southern Nigerians who are actually Christians, not necessarily Igbos.
If these southern Nigerian christians are firmly tucked in the east, west and south south region and boko haram come bombing, Nigeria won't be smiling again and i can assure you that boko haram will not bomb anything across the Niger, they know the game they are playing, this is a political war, not a religious war.
This is why no amount of condemnation from the leader of Igbos, Yorubas, and south south will stop boko haram, so let the federal government get up and do their job.

Pataki: Open a thread about the developments your own state is undertaking and we can then compare notes whether your indolent local government chairman and state governor are in anyway functional.

I have been privileged to live across different states in Nigeria, privileged as well to be exposed to life abroad and I can say Amosun of Ogun State is giving a massive facelift to Ogun State.

Just yesterday night, I stepped out of my house to discuss with a friend. Right in my neighborhood, I saw a police patrol car moving around in my estate. This is in one of the newly donated police vehicles given by the state government to your PDP Federal Police. Safety of lives is gradually being restored in the State.

There is more the development of a State than gutters and roads and Amosun is clearly on the right part to ensuring that. Furthermore, I have noticed that Amosun's government is such that they listen to intellectual critics. So if you have something intellectual upstairs to contribute to the development of Ogun State, please log-on facebook. I can give you the name and personal facebook profile of his Special adviser on media and social networks.

God forbid that Yoruba should camp tent with an IMPOTENT, COWARD tribe.

the civil war was an opportunity for ibo to face off with its oppressor, instead of heading north to the enemy territory where they were massacred they headed west and south, first planting a biafran flag in ijaw/ogoni land, then erecting another in midwest complete with a new ruler of ibo extraction. Were they really interested in ending their oppression and massacre in north or were they greedily seeking to occupy and own lands they have coveted for decades? They sabotaged their own cause.

Yoruba cannot afford to be on battlefield with these saboteurs.

inufele2: Rubbish! Why don't you start by condemning your blood thirsty leaders for their aggression and the killings of other sectional leaders? Why don't you blame them for attacking Yorubaland for their so called 'liberation' and the killings of many that resulted due to their greed?
Why don't you blame Ojukwu for dragging you into senseless war? Why don't you blame him for his inability to reach a compromise and swallow his pride to save many from starvation?
Why don't you demand an apology from Ojukwu for abandoning his people in the time if need only to come
back to wine and dine with the enemy? Did Ojukwu lose any if his properties after the civil war? He even got his military pension back, so what is his restitution to his people.
Until you people start to behave like adults and take responsibility for your action ss well as confront the enemy within no one will ever take you serious.
You nailed it, i tried to find out the reason for the slaughtering of the Igbos in the north before the civil war, and the answer i got was that after the murder of other regional leaders and allowing their own brothers to escape, Igbos went and print the pictures of Kaduna Nzeogwu and start selling it in the open markets in the north, boasting and telling the Hausas that Nzeogwu is the killer of Hausa fathers, this is like a salt on injuries. And so the Hausas were buying the pictures and keeping it waiting for the appropriate time to strike back. The Igbos brought trouble on themselves, the truth is that when am a visitor in your home you can treat me which ever way you like, but to treat me any how in my home will be some serious issues with heavy consequences.
