SARAKI-from special adviser to the president to governor to senator to senate president to wanting to become president

KALU-8yrs of governorship to being senator now
EKWEREMADU-20 YEARS OF BEING A SENATOR TO 12YRS OF BEING DEPUTY SENATE PRESIDENT
TINUBU LAST HELD POLITICAL OFFICE IN 2007.

alfredilly: Its not Aboki that will stab him but the South Easterners. Tinubu is falling for deception that he will become Nigeria president. He has gotten a confident boost when some Igbo group proclaimed him as the best man to rule Nigeria in 2023. Since then, his mutted ambition has given way to open political scheming.
But I fear for Jagaban, his problem won't come from the north. Hausa will always rally their support based on popular consensus. The big problem will come from the East regardless of what the consensus say. Igbo masses will move against a south west candiidate and opt for the alternative option. In that case if PDP endorse Atiku, that will be the end of APC reign and guess what will come next. Tinubu will be in jail. Radar rada, I will bookmark this page. |

Regionalism means every region should govern itself, why would a Igbo man leaves his region and want to be premiere in another? Must be greediness and longer throat.

Corruption is so high that even the students are demoralised in their studies cos they know they would still need skills after school. Internet Fraud is now celebrated cos even hardwork in legit fields can not guarantee a decent life. The government can't provide amenities, create jobs, security etc. Lack of innovation and future plans, over dependence on one source of income when there's potential for many. Federal jobs can't be applied for, cos the slots have all been given out to incompetent relatives. We know seperation and division won't end corruption. But at least it would make every region responsible for their failure. Most regions are not even educated enough to know their rights, or see the reasons to protest against bad governance. We already tried regionalism, some long throats or should I say never do wells, dismantled it. Last last, blood will flow in this country 'cause no matter the adopted model of government, those who felt played out will still cry. |

The whatever political advantage the north has is of the fraudulent geographical settings by the British and the WHOREible asslicking of Yorubas who are forever contented with playing second fiddle and have very little ambition.
The present settings can only favour the North because we are not practicing federalism but claim to be a federation.
Once again, Yoruba is holding the South, bei all of Nigeria back by its shameless bonding with the north who doesn't deserve to even be in Nigeria. So Yoruba is now holding you back by working with the north?. Igbos been dey work with north even before and after independence to sabotage the south. Politics › Re: Doyin Okupe: North Has Not Forgiven Igbos For Killing Sardauna Of Sokoto by 7lives: 11:01am On Mar 21, 2021 |
Deadlytruth: Apart from Ahmadu Bello making himself very clear in that interview that his Northernization policy was for the Northern Region alone and not for the entire Nigeria, common sense dictated that under the highly decentralized extant structure of those times it wasn't just going to be possible for any individual from one particular region, be he the prime minister or a premier, to impose a particular policy on the entire country unlike the way it has become today courtesy of the unitary system imposed on us by an Igbo army officer who got to power through the back door which he opened with the barrel of a gun. So if Igbos felt that Ahmadu Bello's Northernization policy was negativity affecting those of them resident in the North back then, then the next thing would have been to relocate back home to their Eastern Region and encourage their own premier too to commence Easternization policy for the Eastern Region. And come to think of it, didn't Ahmadu Bello ask the British journalist in that interview if any graduate of Northern origin was employed in either the Eastern or Western public service and he could not give an affirmative answer in all honesty? So it means every regional premier back then was doing exactly what they were accusing Ahmadu Bello of doing just because Ahmadu Bello wasn't pretending about his but was bold and candid enough to admit it before the public glare. The same reason why Akintola had to die, imagine an Igbo VC was appointed for UI and all his staffs were Igbos, but the gardeners cleaners and messengers, were Yorubas. This was what Akintola spoke against, he asked if there were no Yorubas with ordinary primary six certificate, that Yorubas were only qualified for menial jobs?. That interview is still on YouTube. |

LegendHero: I have always told people that care to know on Nairaland that they MUST re-validate any information from an Igbo man. It has been established that Igbos don't speak with fact and their words are usually figment of their imagination 98% of the time.
--Firstly, a Unicorn company are usually startups at those stage of entry, and they are usually startups with valuation of above $1billion.
--Secondly, the only Nigeria affiliated companies in the Unicorn are those three names Calendly, Flutterwave, and City Block.
--Thirdly, there are speculations that Interswitch achieved Unicorn status then too then but I think they were not officially inducted.
Chinedu Echeruo sold his company (HopStop) to Apple in 2013 and never achieved Unicorn status officially with that startup. African Leadership Magazine were the one that reported then that the company was bought for $1B by Apple but the source is speculative because Apple keep secrecy about how much they acquire companies so that figure is not official and just speculative. There is no where you will see HopStop included in any official Unicorn status. I dare you to provide your source.
The second name Ndubisi Ekekwe is inconsequential in this regard coz his company does not come near any Unicorn Status.
The remaining jargon about 2by2 kiosk and the IPOB Bureau of statistics chestbeating rubbish should be restricted to your village meeting in Alaigbo and not brought to sane minds online. Just like the Nnewi millionaire fabrication which was debunked because the writer just based his report on his conversation with someone while drinking a bottle without any research. Bunch of chestbeating jokers. When did a Ted talk of 2by2 shop ever become a source of truth? IPOB logic always amaze sane mind.
--Below is the link to the list of official Unicorn Status company by CBS: https://www.cbinsights.com/research-unicorn-companies .
Here you can see Flutterwave, Calendly, and Cityblock Health. I can't find any other Nigerian affilated company on it in the list of over 590+.
If not that you are dubious, I don't expect any sane Igbo man to contend with Yorubas in Fintechs and Startups generally, we are the best and no other Nigerian tribe come close. This is not ordinary statement, it is a FACTUAL statement. You want to marginarise us for this one too? Jankara statistics, give us Biafla or leshuresure.

gidgiddy: This whole Aburi thing is a very simple thing to understand, for those who want to understand. There was a coup, counter-coup, pogrom and strife.
Gowon and Ojukwu, met in Aburi, Ghana, to find a way foward. Ojukwu proposed a number of measures that would create a loose federation(confederation). Gowon accepted and signed the agreement.
When they returned to Nigeria, Gowon and his Northern cohorts realised that the agreement would deprive them of what they wanted the most, the political and economic control of Nigeria.
So Gowon started undermining the agreement and culminated in Gowon enacting Decree 14 of 1967, which dissolved all 4 Regions, created 12 states, took away resource control and removed fiscal federalism. It was the worst Decree in the history of Nigeria.
With the Aburi agreement completely thrashed, Ojukwu had only two choices, accept Nigeria according to the dictates of the North or fight for freedom
Ojukwu did what any Igbo man with any sense of dignity would do. He refused that neither him nor his people would become willing slaves of the North, declared Biafra and fought for freedom for 3 years
It did not work out but but nobody can blame Ojukwu for trying.
Aburi was the last hope of Nigeria, when it failed, Nigeria failed, courtesy of Gowon and his Northern cohorts Go and read Philips Asiodu's interview, Gowon already gave Ojukwu 97% concessions. Asiodu said based on that concessions, Nigeria would have ended after three months, so what else did Ojukwu wanted?. Asiodu said while Gowon was busy try work things out, "Ojukwu already had men preparing for war behind the scene " Ojukwu's ego got the.best of him, he boasted that " no army in Army in Africa can defeat Biafran army ", and started a needless war. Read Philips Asiodu's interview. |

10mobile: You said that what Awo saw, Ojukwu also saw. Good. But, I'm wondering why the same Awo, instead of keeping to his plan with Ojukwu to work together for secession, decided to undermine Ojukwu during the Civil War. Can you please explain this? Relax and read what I posted all over again, the damage was already done, it is a foundational disaster, the only option left for Awo is to protect his people and his homeland. The reason why Awo asked for the inclusion of secession clause in the constitution is to avoid Ojukwu's option which is WAR. War is never an option, Yorubas already fought a hundred years of civil war among themselves, they've just had a hundred years respite thanks to the British. Awo already knew that there is no way Nigeria won't end up in a fiasco, this was why Awo try the secession clause idea, so that Yorubas can easily pull out of Nigeria, had there been a secession clause there would have been no need for bloodsheds. |
