I’m planing to upgrade from my big daddy to an SUV cus of bad road.
I am leaning towards the Lexus cus it holds value, but Acura gives me speed lol. Also maintenance is an important factor.

Is not safe, ur engine is in danger, try to me ur mechanic or a very automobile electrian for diagnosis.

Many things can cause the check light to come up.

Faulty Plugs
Bad Oil pump
Dirt in bottom plate oil filter etc

I have been thinking of the best suv that can work with 4plug engine for e-hailing job, i come to think of puting a gulf 4 ENGINE into lexus 300,

Please brothers , can this work? Has any one seen this done before? What are the disadvantages on this, ? Is gulf 4 ENGINE cheaper than normal Lexus 300 engine? Will this reduce the consumption rate considering the body size and weight of this two cars

hello guys, i hope you are all doing great. my car's engine switches off on it own, for example if i ignite the engine to steam it, it goes off by itself after 4-5 minutes, if on motion and theres a need to slow down it goes off too... someone told me it's a plug issue, the car is a KIA soul 2013 model

Recently i discovered my camry 08 v6 shudders briefly when accelerating or climbing a hill within the speed range or 60 to 80 km/hr.

The shudder feels like mild grinding sensation that comes on and off only when accelerating within theaforementioned speed range.. it rarely occurs when driving at constant speed.

I thought it might be my inner cups so i had them both replaced but the issue still persisted.

Also did alignment but the problem still remained.

My tyres are brand new so i can rule that out..

Later i felt it might be linked to the transmission so i did a drain and refill (twice) with Toyota WS atf. The transmission fluid was still quite pink though.. as this isn't my first time. The problem didn't really go away but i think it may have reduced a bit (might just be my mind playing tricks on me).

Please what do you suggest i do... i have run out of ideas.

I have a problem with my MDX I hope the gurus can help. Whenever I’m driving at low speeds somewhere between 20 - 40 km per hour, there is is sound I hear like kran kran kran . Sounds like the vibration of a loose bolt or one metal making contact with another. The thing is when I am above this speed (cruising speed), the sound goes away, but the moment I slow down back to that speed range, the sound comes back. Also, below 20 kmph, I don’t hear the sound.


Does anyone know what could be the problem?

Each time I park my car and put my vehicle in park on, the vehicle will slide to the front or backwards depending on how sloppy the place is, with a grinding sound from underneath the car. The gear mechanic told me its the auxiliary gear oil that have dried up, I changed it and it persisted. Now he is asking me to replace the auxiliary gear to resolve the issue. My problem is that this guy is not too straight forward in his dealings, always looking for how to dupe me through outrageous price of parts, telling lies about what he did not buy or fix etc but I think he is good at his work. The car is Toyota RAV4 1998 model, working very fine and the gear shifts very well. What are the likely issues that could warrant a vehicle to be slipping from park?

My 2008 Acura MDX engine starts when I press and hold the lock button for 3 seconds. Then it has another remote/fob that performs the same function (starts and off the engine) when I press and hold the number 2 button; the button above the unlock button (picture attached). Can I engage the transmission and drive the box this way? I haven't tried it , just curious.

The GS isnt really a reliable sedan,and hope you know that its already discontinued(a pointer).

I’ve had the 2015 cla250 in the past (shitty car), the 2016 c300 does not have a solid engine, the e class in that price range has a dated interior. I don’t know about bmw or any other German brand, I no want any Wahala make I buy Japanese cars wey I sabi wella. If my budget was higher I could have gone for a 2016 c450, 2017 e400 or a 2020/2021 accord 2.0t.

Please I got a toks Honda Civic 09 barely 2months... Being a newbie & since it's a personal ride for just everyday simple runs like to & fro for work, shopping when needs be etc..I planned to be using the recommended engine oil (which I tried to know earlier but didn't get info). So my friend recommended I bought mobil 20w-50. But I just confirmed the recommended oil for the civic is 5w-20. My question now is
1. Will it be wise to flush out the old and put in new 5w (giving the popular opinion that one should ensure to continue using same type of oil you started with to prevent quick damage of your engine)

2. The car has a ridiculously low ground clearance and it hits the ground frequently when I navigate around undulating terrain. Even the bottom left of the front bumper is showing crack already due to the impact of hitting the ground. Please will you recommend I go to lift the car or probably change to bigger tyres/rims?

3. Since day one of buying the car, it shows this spanner sign on the dashboard and doesn't show anything on that milage display area. (Meanwhile know immediately we bought it we change all the necessary oil and transmission fluid). Please is that something I should worry about, what are the implications...also how do I get that fixed

4. I'm in Abuja please...if you recommend I visit a car fixing shop... Please if possible kindly recommend me someone that is good with Honda

A lot of things can cause this delayed start. Have the car scanned and if no codes pops up, have it inspected by a competent technician.

please my car is camryxle2013 the hub was making noise and my mechanic asked me to change the hub which i did by buying a tok hub but since the hub was changed the abs light has been on and i was asked to change the wheel sensor attached to the hub which i did but the abs light refused to go off and the hub is still making noise please what can i do?

I was attracted to it cuz of the clean engine.

As i was trying to understand my guy's problem i took the car for a spin on the freeway. I noticed something that feels like a surge in accelaration. That is sudden dropping and picking up of power/speed when accelerating. It is most noticeable when u speed up from a stop then u notice a sudden drop in RPM and loss of acceleration and it attempts to pick up same and it just keeps surging like that.

he will proceed with the transmission fluid change, the last servicing of the transmission was done last 2 months with Oando ATF.

just a random question. Will a transmission problem always throw up the CEL? My guy's car is losing power on acceleration and he is caught up between having issues with his fuel pump or a slipping auto transmission. The car has no check engine light. is there any random DIY check he can perform to be sure of what is causing this problem?
