USA spec cars has better safety features... And yes have heard of them ..... I believe the JDM engine are the ones more than likely are sold by Dana Motors......

Now the reliability of the USA spec engine is actually above average.. What else do u want from a car , plus safety is included ..............


Most of these Hyundai sold by Dana Motors in Nigeria will not pass the USA safety test..

Now back to the guy looking for a compressor .. If I decide to get him a a/c compressor brand new from the USA . chances are it might not be compatible or fit properly with his 1.4liter engine .....

Now from experience few years ago .. A customer requested for an a/c compressor for her 2014 hyundai Tucson .. She bought the car brand new in Nigeria from Dana Motors.........
We had to match the compressor part number to the ones in the USA.. Once the part was ordered the only issue was that the compressor could nit fit properly .. A mechanic had to construct additional space for the compressor to fit properly.........

Keep in mind same car , same year, but different engine

Whaaaaooo.... Can this cause a problem. The long pipe that cools the back side had a leakage. They bought another long pipe but had to cut off the two ends and weld back the two old ends to the new pipe as the screw ends of the new pipe can not match the screw fitting in the car.

Are you saying this can cause the clutch to burn out?

The first generation e87 came with a n46 engine
N46B.... ,
I don't quite remember but we replaced with a faster n46B20 engine the difference is the latter didn't have a dip stick and a slight change to the top cylinder cover

Plus it came with 150...something hp the former had around 130
Still faster than a Hilux lol

Get torque pro app for android.....monitor the live data on it especially the coolant temperature, and intake air temperature.
Normal coolant temperature range is around 80'C to 85'C. And your car should get to that temperature within 2minutes and should maintain that range as long as the ignition is on

Intake air temperature is usually dependent on ambient surrounding temperature. In the Morning because I live in Southeast is usually around 24'C to 27'C and rises as you keep driving the car. The maximum range have seen is in the Afternoon when the weather is very hot, and it's usually close to 50'C or lesser. Funnily I discovered overtime that the higher the intake air temperature around 50'C the lesser it consumes fuel. Infact it can consume half the fuel for the same journey.

I lost an engine to overheating, that's why I took both temperature range serious. Anything beyond that, na to stop the car and start looking for a mechanic. Luckily since have change the engine, it hasn't gone over those ranges.

For how long sir? Acura ZDX are meant to be driven fast .. This is the type of car you take on long journey highway and drive fast to open up all the engine valves.. It is called the breaking in period of the car. This will allow the engine to breath

I just bought an Acura ZDX and I noticed it recommended only using premium unleaded fuel but the issue is we don't have enough petrol stations selling premium fuel in Nigeria. How do I solve this problem and what are the disadvantages of using regular fuel in a premium fuel recommended car? Thank you!
