supportnija: O boy rest in peace, this is not Nigeria, you did it back to back why not use the money to develop yourself, you still want to go for another one.
So many Nigerians naively excuse CRIMINALITY on the basis of poverty... Reality is that there are criminals in even the richest nations, while the MAJORITY of poor people are NOT criminals.
An AK-47 costs more than a basic grinding machine or apprenticeship... And there’s a reason Yahoo Boys buy cars and party, instead of diverting their loot into small businesses. >
iswallker: how about the thousands of destitute roaming the street of lagos - are they less human...
ok sure - this one has something to offer...
How did I guess that someone will be determined to find a negative in this positive story... Apparently, the tortured logic here is that NOBODY should be helped unless everyone is helped.
Nigerians remain the WORST thing to happen to Nigeria! What a people! >
kingsley52: Nawa o. From National Association of Nigeria student president to National Youth Union president.. comrade obasi na only you wan chop alone?
Obviously a professional rent-seeker... Many of these rabble rousers cannot hold down a real job. >
kingthreat: Protests can be hijacked and get out of hands. I support this protests though.
What does the airport have to do with healthcare facilities? Are you sure they can differentiate between airports and hospitals?!
Such DUMB clout-chasing... Everyone seek relevancy (and “transportation” money) at all cost.
BTW, those who coined the term “comrades” have abandoned it long ago... Meanwhile, anyone that can rent-a-crowd in Nigeria self-anoints the term. SMH >
Don't ever compare Ghana to Nigerian, her economy has been growing at a steady rate for the past 8 years.
Forget all the self proclaimed giant of Africa you called yourself!
Economic illiteracy....
1 dollar = 110 Japanese Yen Therefore Ghana is economically more advanced than Japan?
Ghana simply did what Soludo wanted to do years ago (under Yar’Adua)... Which is to re-denominate the Cedi by knocking off 5 zeros (ie, 10,000 Cedi became 1 Cedi).
Accordingly, that 1 Cedi is actually 10,000 original cedis. >
AbijaJ: Ghana this, Ghana that. This hype is too much. Una no gree us hear word again. As bad as Nigeria bad reach, dem no be our mate. Enough of the exaggerated hype. Who no like Naija fit port go Ghana make we hear word abeg.
valentineuwakwe: do you think south Africa, Botswana or even north Africa seem themselves as black Africa? N.a. just the continent name bind us together. we are sub-Saharan Africa and Ghana is leading the race here...
do you know the Botswana you talk is the richest in Africa?
Why wouldn’t Botswana see itself as “black” Africa? Virtually every single native/citizen of Botswana is black. >
Human beings are selfish by nature and everyone is only looking out for himself/herself. This is an undeniable fact. This fact also applies to relationships.
He is rich and she's beautiful; he wants a beautiful lady to match his wealth while she wants a rich guy to complement her beauty. Both of them reach a compromise to enter into a relationship since their selfish interest has been met.
When you also consider other various qualities such as Intelligence, education, complexion, character, height, sense of humor amongst other biases that shapes our selfish interest; both parties reach a compromise when their interest is met.
Both parties profess love and a relationship is established which is usually expected to lead to marriage. This is usually the case of some beautiful marriages around us.
Things usually fall apart the moment a partner meets another person who is higher in the scale of preference to satisfy his/her interest.
Then, the losing party feels cheated, betrayed and eventually turns into a feminist or misogynist.
We usually pretend our relationships are born out of true love forgetting that true love is not usually conditional or selfish.
If you have this understanding, you'll no longer kill yourself when your partner finds a better partner that will fulfill his/her dreams (selfish interest)
Know this and know peace.
P.S: This narrative does not negate the existence of true love which accounts for less than 5% of marriages today.
EVERYTHING is a “scam”... That’s the mentality of the typical Nigerian ‘yoot’! >
SmartProf: I'm sure if she was appointed, most of the many criticisms she dishes out to sound as a patriot would never have sufficed. She should be happy not to be in the first team of a failed government.
Maybe it wouldn’t... Because she would/could be making the CHANGES she’s campaigning for. >
yourgistpartner: From 70+ dementia will set in. So he wants the apex court to be filled with demented fellows
Nah, it's not going to work
jaxxy: I agree with him bt not 100 years. Maybe 75 or 80.
It definitely should be MORE than the present retirement age... Presently, after JSCs retire, they are appointed to other tasks in tacit recognition that they are still sharp. >
hkidola00: footballers go through a lot to get to where they are bit still retire late30s...gymnasts go through a very lot and still retire most time below 27years
Dude, there’s a world of difference being using your brain and using your body...
Just grant them lifetime position... Just like is done for US Supreme Court justices (and all federal judges) in the US.
Meanwhile, Nigeria does not need a 20-justice Supreme Court... Reduce the number of justices and NARROW the court’s jurisdiction to constitutional matters only. >
wink2015: Dangote was one of the biggest offender.
It was coronavirus that exposed his staff databases when the indians that he brought into Nigeria started leaving Nigeria in their hundreds because of the covid 19 pandemic.
Obtuse criticism... Obviously cannot distinguish between contractors and staff.
Dangote Group employs over 70,000 NIGERIANS... And generates a livelihood for hundreds of thousands of Nigerians. >
PrinceofHCI: $30B biz, leaves just like that...... Something is surely on the horizon, which is imminent........ Check my signature, you'll be amazed at the services we offer!
While not happy with Shoprite’s exist... Shoprite Nigeria is NOT a $30 billion business.
The statement refers to POTENTIAL... It is presently NOWHERE NEAR $30 billion. >
