yusluvad: Nice development. Maintenance is key, with bad maintenance culture in our nation and system this project may not serve it's purpose in the long run, but if proper and adequate maintenance is put into place this would gear a lot of growth and development in the state... sirnewton20: Good one. But my concern is what happens to the Lab in years to come. I hope it doesn't turn to poultry in future.
Congratulations to the district residents It’s a PRIVATE initiative… And like most private developments in Nigeria, it is likely to be properly maintained. > |

You have to first have a job before worrying about losing it… What AI can do for Nigeria is to expand the economic space and create presently-nonexistent jobs.> |

Subsidy removal is NOT a “policy”… It is the LAW under the PIA which mandates its coming into effect as from June!
And why now cry over N5K bribe…er, social transfer…to those who shouted “Sai Baba” in 2015 and 2019? Dullard Buhari’s regime has been claiming to make such “digital wallet” transfers for the past several years.> |

Sadly the government allows psychos to have easy access to guns in US which they use to commit murder every now and then Problem is NOT mental health… There are mental health problems EVERYWHERE.
The problem is the PREVALENCE OF GUNS… That’s the difference between the US and elsewhere.> |

lovediehatelive: I met this pretty homely girl sometimes ago.
She was reluctant the first time I toasted her and won't want to date me. However, I persisted till she succumbed.
She's everything I want in a lady. She didn't want to visit me when we started dating until one day I promised that I won't touch her.
She visited and was so graceful that I thanked the heavens for sending my soul mate to me.
We discussed a bit and I made her feel comfortable because she was really uneasy.
As promised, I didn't touch her. She felt so free that she rested her head on my chest.
The urge to kiss her became so strong, but I resisted.
What's the use of spoiling things now when she can be mine forever?
She later left and we became really close from then.
I was happy because she's madly beautiful yet so down to earth.
I was thinking she is a virgin but I needed to clarify.
So one day, I used talk to bring talk and stylishly told her a bit about some rough life of my past for her to feel uncomfortable.
She later opened up to me about her first kiss and how the guy went on to have sex with her even though he promised her nothing will happen.
She was 19 years then.
Since then she stopped visiting guys and is no longer in contact with the guy.
She swore that she hasn't kissed or had sex since then.
Now she's 23.
The thing is I really deeply love this girl because she's just exactly what I needed. But I promise myself that I will marry a virgin and nothing else.
My love for this girl is beginning to affect my thinking.
Should I ditch her and keep looking for a virgin?
Or should I continue with her?
I'm planning to see her people this December. People still stuck on this Middle Ages “virgin” nonsense? Anyway, anything that floats your boat but to elevate virginity above all other qualities sounds really DUMB!> |

Crime › Re: A Revealing Discussion I Had With A Yahoo Boy by 9jaRealist: 3:25am On May 18, 2023 |
MallamChukwudi: A few weeks ago, I spoke to a Yahoo boy that lives here in Berlin. He was eating at the same Nigerian restaurant I went to eat at, one sunny Sunday.
He thought I was a G boy, so was asking me about some stuff I didn't know about, if I knew someone that deal with bank accounts, or if they could use mine to forward hundreds of thousands of euros.
I told him no, that I am employed, and jokingly complained about how the tax man is billing me yearly for income tax, that I didn't pay enough the previous year.
Then we got talking and he went on to narrate how he envied ordinary folks that go to work daily, the simple calmness in their soul, and how they could access things that he cannot even access even if he has more money than them. I asked for more explanation, and he continued.
He said we do not have the fear of the future, that his affluent reality can come to a stop any day the law ever catches up with him. That when he hears a knock on his door, he fears so deeply to open even if it's the postman.
He will only open the door when he is sure he is expecting someone and the person is around. How he tries not to involve the authority for anything even if it's perfectly legal, due to fear of igniting any event that will shine a torchlight on his affairs that may lead to an arrest.
That ordinary working folk can simply get a mortgage and buy a house, but he can't since that would lead to questioning his source of income. The guilt he felt because of the people he has harmed by stealing from them, and when bad things happen to him, he wonders if it's karma.
He has three daughters and has always wished for a son, but wondered if God gave him only daughters to punish him for his philandering. His three daughters are from two different women.
For him, the most important thing he complained about was peace. He misses having peace, and that peace is priceless. That sometimes, he doesn't sleep long due to unnecessary fear.
His wife also knows the job he does, which hints at her moral failure, and he fears that she will use it against him if there is any conflict between them. His source of income is like a dagger under his belly.
I was not shocked hearing all these, since I understand very well the cause-and-effect nature of things. But it was refreshing hearing all these from him, as it made me appreciate my own struggles. I pitied him, and ask him why don't just stop it.
He responded that he can't. It's the only job he knows, and he has gone so far that he can't be earning wages that won't sustain his lifestyle. Then I asked how he got a residence since he doesn't work and didn't study. Then he said that was another mistake he regretted.
He came on a visitor visa, was desperate to stay permanently, and impregnated any available woman, to legalize himself.
I was then wondering why he was telling me all these things, which I consider a personal secret. And he said I give the vibe of someone that can empathize, and also, talking about it eases the pain a bit, especially to strangers he won't see again.
He then got a call and left. Probably someone will meet him outside. We shook hands and told me bye. After I finished eating and was about to pay, the waiter informed me that he has paid for my meal. I was thankful but had an unpleasant feeling that he paid for my food with some kind of blood money.
Such an encounter opened my eyes to a reality I have known to exist, but not met anyone in it. It reminds me of the quote that there is no peace for the wicked, no honor amongst thieves, and that what you sow, you shall reap. Hopefully he ends up in PRISON for a really LONG time…> |

Stop this needless comparison.
Nawa for una! It’s very apt to compare different groups in the SAME nation… At the very least it crystallizes that the problem is NOT Nigeria.
To overcome our ailments, we must first correctly diagnose its cause… Instead some prefer to continue sliding BACKWARDS blinded by “political correctness”!> |

sreamsense: Before it used to be "Fear North", but nowadays, it is usually "Fear East" even more than the north; exact reason it never crossed Dangote mind to even cite largest refinery in anything east because Ipob/esn can wake up one day and ask Ekpa's oil and gas foreign minister to take over because it is in alaigbo's east. Before you know it, US expatriates and other foreign workers hired by Dangote may be kidnapped and carry to inside one Ozu Forrest where they practice cannibalism. Always Fear East since kanu exported criminalities to alaigbo due to hatred of Buhari winning election against Jonathan PRIMORDIAL DUMMY… > |
