daddymummy: They should not call it same sex marriage.
The right name is female to female marriage.
A man cannot marry another man even if he is a homosexual. He would still prefer to marry a woman. Even a homosexual still look down on a fellow male's body. They despise a male's body even though they are homosexual.
They only sleep with a male because they are addicted to anal sex. How much more do you think a straight male would look down on other males?
It is only women that marry themselves.
It is only women that would tell another woman "I love you sweetheart" and would not feel ashamed.
But the disadvantage of all these is in women marrying themselves. It is against God's law and nature. Dude, you should get out more often… > |

So long as someone is not directly harming anyone else… Why do some people get so worked up about who someone else voluntarily loves?

Ajibel: I thought Nigeria has won it 11 of the 13 times contested so far I checked wikipedia to confirm. The first 2 of Nigeria’s 11 African titles were before the present AWCON format… When the Falcons win their first 2 titles, it was played just like the CAF champions league or confederations cup. Thus, we are 11 times African champions… But we are only 9 times AWCON champions. > |

Though I have little sympathy for them, this high number of turnovers ain't good for the system. Considering what that “system” produces, I would say it’s an EXCELLENT START… It would have been even better if we’re expectant their replacements will be any better…. Nonetheless, we could seek some comfort that they couldn’t possibly be worse - but this is Nigeria, so we won’t! > |

RaptorX: It is only in Nigeria that soldiers have some kind of demi god status due to the long years of military misrule. in the US soldiers are lower than the Police and the police will handcuff any stupid soldier misbehaving, even firefighters have more status than them.
Nobody fears soldiers there but they fear police and they are rarely seen in public and if in public never with a gun. You can even wear a camo into their base (barracks) and nothing will happen, their uniform chief of army, navy and air force all have civilian bosses called secretary of army , navy and air force. First, the police can (and do) also arrest soldiers in Nigeria… But US soldiers are in no way or manner “lower” than the police! Nonetheless, apples and oranges. The reason that the military is so visible on the streets in Nigeria (even after military rule) is because of the FAILURE OF THE POLICE, which has necessarily compelled the military to engage in INTERNAL security, which is not their normal remit and not in consonance with their training (which, stripped of all intellectual pretensions is to be “purveyors of coercive violence”). If ordinary Nigerian CITIZENS are not engaging in TERRORISM (by whatever moniker - banditry, insurgency, militancy, secession, etc.), there would be little or NO need for the military to leave its barracks and patrol the streets. PS: Btw, even though it’s often been taken to ridiculous lengths in Nigeria, prohibition of camouflage clothing was in reaction to military impersonation by ordinary Nigerian CITIZENS, which still happens quite regularly despite the ban. Nonetheless, it is NOT unique to Nigeria (even Mexico, right next door to the US, has the same ban). > |

I witnessed how a truck pusher pummeled one soldier some time in Ariaria international market ABA, I come dey pity the soldier sef. ivandragon: The supposed tout is probably in his 'hood' & the soldier is alone. The soldier was wise not to escalate the matter... it would have been a different story for the soldier, however, the whole neighbour would have been made to pay heavily... Christane: a soldier is only powerful wen he his in group and armed with a gun ... d street z military so everybody z a soldier NewDelhi: Which fake soldier? He's real. Ogbeni boys dey beat soldiers anyhow for Lagos o. Most especially these touts. They got nothing to lose just like someone said. If you wan fight soldier, no try am for environment where you dey live or hustle coz truth be told sha they no dey accept defeat easily . They go still carry korofo boys come back. I remember for uni those days when one of my guys challenge one. For one week straight baba no sleep for house coz those guys just dey patrol day and night dey find am. Yes, he’s more likely to be a fake soldier or AWOL… Or (less likely) one of those who see no value in engaging here.
The more regular Nigerian soldier’s behavior would be to return to barracks and gather his colleagues, return to the area and (even if they do not see this dude, it matters little or nothing to them) visit what IBB termed as “professional coercive treatment” on anybody unfortunate to be in the vicinity at that time. The notion of “beating soldiers anyhow” in Lagos is PURE FANTASY!> |

DarkPheonix: You think people don't get loan to get through school in Nigeria? Even some federal universities students that pay less than 100k still find it difficult paying their fees as at when due at resort to getting loan and some still hustle for scholarships, when you factor in the economy setting of other countries and Nigeria you will realize Nigeria school isn't really cheaper for Nigerians.
Ad there are lot of students loan and scholarships over there, here it is not the same, it is even not advisable to get a loan to see yourself to college here cause there is no guarantee you will get a job to pay back later. There used to be students loans in Nigeria during our parents era in the 1970s (possibly up to the 1980s)… But guess what, hardly anyone (if anyone at all) paid back their students loans, but simply took it as “national cake”!
Nigeria’s condition is merely the culmination of the actions (by commission or omission) of ALL Nigerians!> |

Millions of Americans have a ‘College Fund’ for their kids… Many start saving when the kids are born - and often that’s still not enough. The top colleges and graduate schools in the US are well over $50K yearly just for tuition alone. When you add all the other associated with school (room, board, books, etc.) could be over $75K. > |

subsidywise18: In the USA, people do not earn enough money to put their children through college. That's why most Americans take out loans to pay for their children's colleges, and even the kids hustle for things like scholarships and grants over there.(Like Rotimi has done).
And the loans are not free money. Once you get a job, you start paying back the loans. On top of your other expenses. And your children too have the same issue.
(When Obama became president of the USA, one of the first things he did was to open savings account for his 2 daughters and start saving a huge chunk of his salary as president there so that they could go to college stress free. Had he lost, his daughters would have had to take loans like other Americans.)
Some Americans do other things like side hustles, buying life insurance for their children, etc, to pay for their kids education in college.
Even then....I once heard of an American medical doctor with debts of $150000 from medical school alone. That#s par the course. Most (well over 50% by last count) of US-trained medical doctors have school loans of over six figures… That’s why Nigerian-trained doctors in the US should realize what a financial GIFT their cheap SUBSIDIZED Nigerian education is. > |
