I agreed with you until you started vilifying Nigerian women. I have a great perspective on this issue as i am half naija/half trini. My dear girl, Men in general will tell you anything to get in between your legs, so please don't bring that here as proof that naija women are loud and all such rubbish. Naija men might date every other race in the world, but when its time for marriage they usually pick girls from the motherland.

On another note, don't take NL seriously, or else you will get hypertension for faceless goats behind a computer screen.

I did the food thing ones to my brothers nagging wife. But couldn't keep if up for more than a week. Had to succumb, but much after pressure and some serious begging. No longer there tho, but i learnt how to use that power and it's so effective.

Well this was your own brothers wife and she was begging, now imagine you doing this to our own naija wife as a form of punishment, trust me she will beg and beg and beg some more. Its the ultimate insult for me anyway.

Beating a woman will hurt her physically and emotionally
Not eating her food, will hurt her emotionally, unbalance her and hurt her pride.

Guys who beat women are wimps and puss*ies. There are so many things you can do to a woman that will make her think twice about disrespecting you such as leaving the house and not coming back for a while, (I know this will make me sweat), Ignoring her (generally i hate being ignored and my lover ignoring me, would upset me greatly) not eating her food ( this one is the worst, I'll just break down crying and begging).

So guys no need to result to violence which will hurt your woman and sow seeds of disillusionment in your relationship.

I am very sorry for what your girl did to you. Attilla is correct that you should be thankful you did not get married to that she-devil. I think the adage "every dissapointment is a blessing rings true in your case". Don't listen to pro01 about deleting love from your heart, love is kind, love is unselfish, love is all encomapssing and we all need a little love in our lives. With time, I am sure you will find a woman worthy of your love, until then be careful. I wish you the best of luck.

^^^shilling gave you some good advice. If you really like this girl as much as you say you do, then start out getting to know her better, you can start your convo by asking her if she has seen whatever latest movie is out now, if she says no, ask her if she would be willing to go see it with you. If she says no, don't back down, ask her why not and be a little persistent, not too much though. I like guys that are persistent, but remember that too much of everything is bad. When she accepts, ask her if she would mind getting dinner before heading to the movies, I am sure she will be okay with this as Dinner and a movie is a popular pastime in America. Once you are at dinner, try and get to know a little about her without being too tongue tied (women might find shy guys cute, but any woman will tell you she loves a confident man). Ask her her hobbies, try to talk about the things you have in common e.t.c, anyway these are my little tips.
