My father who is Yoruba is married to my Trinidadian mother and he shouts up and down that I have to marry a Yoruba catholic guy or else he will disown me. This is a classic case of "do as i say, not as i do". I love my father very much, but I have never let his personal and prejudices dictate my dating life. I will marry whoever I fall in love with regardless of the consequences, I don't care if he is white, asian, yoruba, ibo , hausa, Edo, e.tc. I am the one who has to live with this person, not anyone else. So no one can dictate to me. He chose who he wanted and so will I.

As an aside, I know my father will never disown me though, its all just empty threats, He loves me soooooooooooooooooooooooooooo much.

African Complexions range from are lolive skinned, ight skinned, brown skinned, to very dark skinned. Some  are nappy headed, some with wavy hair, straight hair e.t.c Even in small Nigeria, Yorubas look different from igbos, igbos look differnt from hausas e.t.c. Obviously you don't know a lot about Nigeria, much less Africa.
