Local refineries will only bring about product availability and competition, but there's no guarantee that it will lead to price reduction.

It will definitely bring the price down. Or don't you know that the main reason they refuse to fix the refineries is because fuel will be available at a cheaper price from government, stop government expenses from subsidy, increase competition among marketers which will also lead to price reduction because of it's availability and cheapness from government, independent marketeers Wont have total control of price making the business less attractive and there by reduce oil smuggling.


All those bigwigs in the oil business are the ones causing this problem for Nigerians, there by encouraging the government to pay subsidy so they can get their excess profits. But with our refineries in place all those nonsense will stop.

I was about to start work today and I heard a fight and some arguments, turned out it was my neighbor and his wife going at it for the umpteenth time again but today's own was so blo6ody. I even thought of calling the police. He beat the woman. Hit her head on the wall, threw her clothes out and even threw their baby out that he was tired of them.

The guy has no job, didn't go to school. Didn't even finish secondary school. Also has no skills. He just sits at home from morning till night. Honestly, this isn't the first time I have experience or seen stuff like this around me. Is it that the women are blind or what? I mean my neighbor is quite an attractive man. While growing up something similar happened to a friend's father.. he worked as FG worker, resigned and travelled in the early 1990s, he was sending in cars and all, after a while he secretly tried to marry another wife and relocate her... That was when his wife got him back home without anything


Again I remember my own first Japa experience, Got a Job a 5 star hotel in UAE, Free food, free accomodation average salary, and I was just fresh out of the university, Travel agent wants me to have travel experience so I paid good money

I worked 3months straight nightshift, no sleeping

3months straight no off days Mondays to Monday no break

Indian Boss yelling at you, Arab boss fighting you

8 to 12 hours standing on your feet

No friends as everyone are busy working

At a point I completely zombified, and blacked out, my mind was completely off

Apart for Vacation abroad, Nigeria remains the best country ever if you get good source of income..

If I'm to go by what I was charging years ago, definitely they won't be able to afford it. I mean it will be unreasonably high. In fact that is why I have stopped.

Exactly. My anger with them is that, they have the money but they wont pay well because they believe you shouldn't earn up to that amount you're asking. They've no value for all this teachers , people that transfer knowledge into your children are you not suppose to hold them in high esteem.

Most of my friends left some teaching jobs because of this nonsense, one of my friend doesn't have time for long arguments, once he tells and you start dragging issues you won't see him again. You have needs and you need money to take care of your needs, so they must pay.

A colleague of mine called me last week and Said a woman needs a sounds teacher to come and take the child on sounds this summer to enable the child read before school resumes and that she wants someone with British diction.
So, because I'm a diction instructor and have done that kind of job in the past ( like nine years ago) my friend recommended me.

Back then ( 2014) when I was into this home lesson full time, I was charging 25k per child and its three times a week and I pick the places I go to. No long distance thing.
Now with the current situation of the economy and considering my age, I charged this woman 50k three times a week and she said it's too much. Meanwhile, the school the child is attending was where I taught before I left and started doing home lesson and their school fees then ( 2014) was 95k for prep class. By now it should be around 150k. My friend already told me the school the child attends.

She said it's too much that she can only afford 20k. I just ignored them. They will pay 150k for school fees, nothing much to show for it but will want to give you peanut and expect you to perform magic under 1month.

If I handle the child, no doubt, she'll read and her accent will change but definitely not for that amount. I'll now be trekking that long distance cos no bike and somebody is telling me 50k is too much.

Did I do wrong by ignoring them cos they want me to come and start this August but I have zeroed my mind there.

Would you accept such amount for home lesson?

If they can't pay for your service as you demanded then they should fvck off.
