I always consider politicians who talk about social media regulation to be nothing but brainless clowns. I mean, even Mark Zuckerberg, with all his resources and intellect, has not been able to properly regulate just Facebook. Do you people think that social media regulation is about ballot box snatching? |
JaySterling:I think GTB has a dedicated unit for tbills, FD, and related investments. A customer care/service rep also met my Tbill needs some years back at Sterling bank. These are outdated information so you'll need to visit your bank for more. I have a feeling that most of the people here are done with Tbills, so there's no point waiting for anyone to advise you. |
Sugar in the company is sold for N72,000 but we sold it N70,000. Rice is sold at N65,700 now but we sold it at 57,000 to 60,000.LMAO ![]() |
JaySterling:No. You can't buy directly from CBN. Whether you're buying from the primary or secondary market, you have to go through your bank. |
The only reason you brought this to Nairaland is because your husband told you to leave. Seems you're not ready to address the main and underlying issues affecting your home. |
Can you say the same about your politicians? Nigeria is very poor but your thieving party sold presidential ticket for N100m. |
Goodnewsforlife:Typical selfish nigga. How many people in your village can afford solar? As long as you can "move ahead", you don't care how the rest of the population survive? |
True. N3400-N3800. |
Esthered:It's a painful situation. Same experience everywhere. |
Esthered:😂😂 Imagine what pregnant women are going through this period. Omo, we are going through a whole lot. My landlord wants to finish me here with generator noise. He powers his gen all through the night. I can't blame him because his kids can't stand the weather. It's unbearable. |
Toor, I thought I was the only one experiencing the intense weather. I wan faint. As you're sweating profusely, just make sure that you're also raining curses on the government. We have been reduced to a generator republic. To power the generator is also a problem. How many Nigerians can afford N630 per hour, running that noisy and irritating pollutant (generator)? |
That's the price of a Lontor rechargeable standing fan. Blame the poverty in your country. |
You dey whyne STD? 🤣🤣🤣 |
Nwodosis:🤣🤣🤣 The protest in the coming days will be too loud. |
Iamblessed85:As in. We too loud over nothing. |
Ire ooo. |
Such a painful loss. The unfortunate thing is that U.S.-based TV stations are barely reporting the incidence. Dem no send us at all. Imagine losing one of Nigeria's greatest employers of labour and the CEO of Nigeria's largest bank, and Americans no even send una. When you think about unfortunate events such as this, you'll wonder why we overrate and spend so much time and resources in these countries. Imagine if Elon Musk died in Nigeria, and everyone in Nigeria just moved on. Channels TV would have dedicated 18 hours per day to reporting the incident. Our leaders need to do better by doing more for the country. The running around for leisure and survival can at least be reduced. Herbert's death meant nothing to them. You're only worth a thing as long as you can pay tax and keep their economy running. We've seen this play out time and time again. Like Christmas chicken, Akeredolu's death in a foreign land meant nothing. Yar'adua's death meant nothing to them. Even though he's still alive, Tinubu's existence in France meant nothing. A whole president o. The unfortunate death of two local obas in Ekiti got more media attention than Tinubu's life and existence in the midst of French people. We need to do better for this country. |
Kingofhoes:Hmmn, I see. But not in states where governors starve LGAs. |
PepeXKermit:He has 3 other kids. |
My God! Husband, wife, and son??! |
Thislifee:may. |
forgiveness:A simple Google search and a few minutes would save you this public embarrassment. For the sake of your children, go and study the HSE policies of Total Energy. I'm sure you won't find stuff like ransom for kidnapping, payment for bandits, weekly payment for community and asari thugs, and so on. |
forgiveness:This is the most senseless writeup I have read on this platform in the last 10 years. |
Politicians don't earn much. Yahaya Bello paid councillors 120k monthly. Multiply that by 2 or 3 for a local government chairman. They live large because of corruption and crime. Some of them may be responsible for the high rate of kidnapping. |
Lord have mercy. I see GUO motors, probably on their way to Abuja. |
Coldspice:You can't shame the shameless. I've been very outspoken about the uselessness of Kogi state leaders since 1999 till date. Unlike you, I don't shut people up for criticizing my state governor. I know that idea is alien to you because you're a born- and radical- bigot. I talk about Ogun and Kogi because I have lands in both states; conducted businesses in both states. I once paid tax to your useless governor and his numerous agencies. So why shouldn't I talk about Ogun? Because you hail from the state, a state you probably haven't been to since you were born?? Dum. bass ![]() |
The major problem is the fact that many women go into marriages expecting a wicked mother in law. So, way before the marriage even happens, many already built a defence system and resistance against a family or mother-in-law they don't know. Thus, preventing any form of positive energy or love to thrive. Question is, if you think that your own family is lovely, why do you expect mine to be wicked? For many of you, only your mother is the best thing after sliced bread. Every other woman out there is a potential evil mother-in-law. It is a societal menace we all need to kick against, first by preventing our daughters from seeing those useless Indian and Nigerian movies that paint mother-in-laws as wicked witches. |
67km? Eleyi of Ogun left the group chat. |
Nigerians are looking in the wrong direction for a turnaround. The CBN cannot revive the economy. Only the Federal Government and the various Ministries/Agencies (e.g., Mining and Minerals, Agriculture, Education, Petroleum, Immigration and Customs, etc.) can. The CBN does not generate or earn 1 kobo from anywhere. |
stano2:Wrong. |
saasala:The politicians know they can't earn a single dollar legitimately since the CBN doe not have such powers. So the only way to get dollar notes is to box legitimate guys working 24/7 on Upwork, Freelancer, etc. Take their dollars from them, give them Naira, so people like Kenyamo can have more dollars to buy estates in the U.S. Just wait for the next APC convention. You will see how people who never earned a single dollar note throughout their political career share thousands and millions of dollar notes. Meanwhile, those doing the work, bringing in the dollar, will be forced to battle with an irreversible inflation. |
