slimyem: nice move..i'd say!
...and would support a partner if that's the choice he makes first.

Slimyem can you jump bus with your guy?

Mynd_44: I know ladies who actually advice their men not to bother about spending on them. They will rather see you succeeding cos they know it will come back to them
Have a long time very good friend like that. We have had on and off relationship but I might just settle to marry her.

She doesn't mind even if the guy stay in a room. She hadly ask me for things and even if I turn her down she never insist.

Hard to find a Lady who will complain that I spent too much or this or on that. Because of her, I put a end to getting "wants". Very enterprising and hardworking lady.

My only fear is......*running to go pickup my mobile*

PoliticsRe: Will Removing The "State Of Origin" From The Constitution Make Nigeria Better? by acidtalk(op): 9:32pm On Jun 04, 2012
Nwa_Nimo: That wont work - state of origin indicates which states debts you are liable for.

So if your from Kano, living in Lagos your actually liable for Kano states debts.

Its how they raise bonds in the bond market - its based on the number of recorded births from that state.

The more births registered - the more the state can borrow - as its the states citizens who are liable.

You can reside in 10 states at once - but can only come from one.
What about place of birth?
Afterall America and other developed coutries broke that cultural difference by not limiting you to any state your parents or grandparents originated from.
Nairaland GeneralSeun Nairaland Is Not P.m News. Always Verify Stories Before Putting On The Fp by acidtalk(op): 9:21pm On Jun 04, 2012
Seun don't allow you hunger for traffic lead to the incompetence and hatred for this site.

Over the couple of months you have been putting on the home page very sensitive News which at times are likely to lead to a break down of Law and Order in the Country.

Example; Your recent post stating the Clash between the Hausas and Yorubas in Yaba. Which turned out not to be true.

That was likely to cause uprising amongst different tribes across Nigeria you know?

Henchforth, Any news related stories should be verified before making the frontpage and if such a story is found to be false, then LOCK the thread.

Put the Safety and Security of Nigeria First before looking at attracting traffic to nairaland by posting false news.
PoliticsRe: Will Removing The "State Of Origin" From The Constitution Make Nigeria Better? by acidtalk(op): 8:49pm On Jun 04, 2012
danjohn: I agree with you we need to scrap state of origin bruhaha and replace it with state of residence.
But why are the Executive and Legislative arm of Government feel too scared or insecured to implement such or at least make it pass through a second reading on the floor?

We need Peace and Unity in this Country and the only way we can achieve such is to start looking at ourselves as one.
RomanceRe: He Wants To Build His House Before Buying A Car. Will Our Ladies Date Such A Man by acidtalk(op): 8:35pm On Jun 04, 2012
Yeah! He is a smart young man but won't our ladies turn down such a vision filled man just because he doesn't have a can and then rather settle with someone who used his entire life savings (and borrowed funds) to buy a CRV or Ivtec?
RomanceHe Wants To Build His House Before Buying A Car. Will Our Ladies Date Such A Man by acidtalk(op): 8:11pm On Jun 04, 2012
I had an early morning meeting with a client today. On getting to his office by 7:30am, he had not yet gotten to the office so I was left to relax in his son's office and the cleaners were cleaning the reception and other office area.

I noticed this young man was engrossed in reading a "Property Newspaper". After about 20minutes of him being too engrossed I had to ask him if he was planning on moving out of his father's house and was looking for an apartment.

With some worth of a shock, this young lad told me he had already gotten a .ini flat apartment about 30minutes walking distance from his dad's office and he had even furnished it to his own taste.

Then I asked what he needed the property he was searching for and he said, he wanted to save towards buying a plot of land to start building his own house.

To cut the story short, this young man doesn't yet have a car (even though his father has over 4 executive cars but comes from a part of the country where they believe everyone should work hard to get what they want in life).

Then I introduced him to a lawyer frend who deals in property. Before 6:30pm this evening, this young lad called me to tell me he was going to pay a half a million (N500,000) part payment for a plot of land he will complete payments in a few months time. Jokingly I asked him why he didn't buy a car instead as this were his words "Bros! If I go buy car all these girls no go let me rest them go think say I don arrive. At least make i meet my true love on feet and we will enjoy my mansion together"
PoliticsWill Removing The "State Of Origin" From The Constitution Make Nigeria Better? by acidtalk(op): 7:40pm On Jun 04, 2012
During Obasanjo's regime, a house of rep member came up with the idea if us wipping The State Of Origin Clause from our constitution and replace it with "Place of Birth" or "place of Residence" I.e on JAMB forms, NYSC, WAEC,Work Place etc, the cloumn will no longer have a State of Rogin Column whereby every single Nigeria will have equal right in whatever states he visits or seek to occupy office.

It appeared a whole lot of rep members for whatever reason kicked against the idea.

My question now is, Don't we think removing the State Of Origin Clause will make Nigeria and Nigerians more united and the country will be a peaceful place as each and everyone will start living as one and feel free to learn as many dialects as we can.

Let's set the ball rolling. But please try and avoid as much as you can to insult, castigate or mock any ethnic group or religion.

Thanks in advance.
PoliticsRe: Nigerian Citizens Are The Problems Of Nigeria NOT The Government by acidtalk(op): 7:14pm On Jun 04, 2012
speedyboi: I'm so happy that these kinds of thread are springing up!!!! I can now believe nigeria is on the verge of changing.....I like the fact that some people out there are not shifting blames anymore! smiley

If we continue to shift blames on the govt no change will happen cos there is obviously no government official, busy business men, professionals who visits nairaland (if there is, atleast it won't be often)....we have been making noise since, we are now beginning to see the problem.

The majority of people on this forum are the people, so I feel the purpose of the forum should be enlightenment of people on what they are failing to do on their path (thereby paving way for leaders) and the need to be accountable- I can now say this forum is now achieving the main aim.....
Once again, to the guys blaming 'ourselves'.........I luv you , and I'm proudda you! :-o

I'm happy the Naija mentality is fading out little by little!!!
Thanks for appreciating and acknowledging this topic.

I made a VOW to start at much Mature, Non Bias and Beneficial Topic from all sections of nairaland as I can.

The main aim and ideology was fast fading out and it appeared Seun and his Moderators were lost on how to return sanity into the forum.

I am no HAPPY that all through the 3 pages no one brought ethnic or religious war. It clearly shows, gradually will are chasing out to Cluesless and immature folks off this forum.

Thank you all for your sincere contributions.

Let's keep it going. I believe our Government and Populace are learning from this thread.

One thing I always joke with my friends is my love for flying DANA because of their choice for fair and pretty babes as air hostesses.

Twice I intentionally delayed my flight just to fly DANA air to look at those beautiful faces.

Woooow!!! Really speechless.

Their elders have manipulated them with lies as to why the country is not working without revealing their own culpability in it's demise. I think she meant: wearing a pair of jeans and showing off your six-pack.
When we were growing up, all we needed was cheap Aba-made boxer and showing off the six-pack.
Add that to 'yarns' and ALL the girls belong to you!

It's different from working hard to make life comfortable and owning essential things of life like chilling A/C etc but do you guys buy duvet in Nijjahuh Here, you can pick some from charity shops FOC or buy from shop at insignificant price. Surprise someone added duvet to 'my things'.
I don't believe any babe can trip because of your decor! when they can ALSO afford it why should they triphuh

And you had positive things to say about naija girls,
unlike some of the kiddos on this site who spit rubbish.
Much appreciated.
Well, I think the nest way to avoid those kiddos is us starting to create mature topics they can hadly blend into. That will keep them away and Seun would be forced to create a "cartoon" section for them.

FFK, unfortunately you're part and parcel of a corrupt system that led to this, we await the current minister of aviation's take on what possibly went wrong.
What the 4ck does that juncky want to say about the Aviation section? What did he do about the report Kema Chikwe handed over to him when he took over the aviation section as minister.

All these bas*tards are behind the collapse of one ministry, parastatal or sector or the other.

PoliticsNigerian Citizens Are The Problems Of Nigeria NOT The Government by acidtalk(op): 9:23pm On Jun 03, 2012
This thread might be offensive to. A whole lot of people and I will understand why.

We (the citizens and common man) are the main cause why Nigeria over the years of Independence till date keeps getting worse.

We play sentiments in anything and everything we do. In choosing a Leader, awarding contract and even correctly our corrupt politicians.

Must we wait for things to deteriorate before taking action? Must disaster happen before we realize there are pending reports on that same issue we refused or forgot to tackle before this present disaster?

* Plane Crash : I can vividly remember after the 2005 Bellview and Sosoliso plane crashes, Obasanjo setup a committee to look at the possible causes of the aviation disaster something Kema Chikwe the then Aviation Minister passed later to Fani Kayode. Almost 10years since then no report was made. Now Jonathan will setup another committee for the same issue thereby wasting billions of naira of tax payers money to fund.

*Power : It would be like counting the strands of hair on a ladies head if we want to remember how many committees have been setup over the years to look into possible ways of improving power supply in this country. Yet the only thing we hear is Power Holdings (former NEPA) increasing power tariffs each passing month to enable have steady power. Yet these same Nigeria keep quiet and hope for a "better day".

*Sports : the only uniting factor of the country is absolutely nothing to talk about. Nigerians only remember the urgent need for a foreign or indigenous coach few months to tournaments. Forgetting that both the Ministry of Sports and NFF have thousands of committee that have been looking into developing sports (most especially football) in these country.

*Oil (Petroleum) : nothing to write home about this, almost every first day of every year this is what Nigerian Government gives us as New Year present (increase in fuel price). People protest for a few days then return to their work without putting pressure on the government to know what such monies are used for.

On and on the list goes....

Before blaming the government next time, thing deep if you have made an effort to make your government accountable at anytime.

Its like leaving your doors and windows open each night and I thief comes in to steal. After discovering this in the morning all you do is shout and then make the same mistake. Who is to be blamed? You or the thief in question.

Bontee: I don't think being impressed or impressing someone based on material or physical properties is in itself maturity when it comes to relationship. It has to be something unique to you or something that makes you standout from other men out there and makes you different.
Tis topic was born out of the idea to bring up something different from the boring and childish topics springing up in the romance section.

Something people can relate, imagine and laugh over.

No one supports a materialistic based relationship.

Yes she was an Ex governor's Daughter, but Ojukwu was in Super Rich Kid.

The 1st (FIRST) black student to drive a rolls rolyce as a university student and the only student to drive such expensive car.

You people always think because someone's father is a governor, minister or president, the person is automatically a billionaire. If not because Nigeria has drowned in so much corruption, these public office holders are ordinary civil servants that should earn basic salary and allowance the way its done in developed countries.

Ojukwu's wealth surpassed her father's stolen government wealth over and over again.

Hope I have managed to educate you a bit?

I think what the babes are interested in is mainly WHAT OJUKWU TOLD BIANCA!!!
Everything else is bullshit!
Don't you also think Ojukwu was silent throughout their dating?
His well furnished mansion and fleets of wonder on wheels in the garage spoke directly in spirit to biance. That's why people still wonder how the "Queen" ended up marrying the "Beast".

Watch Crib and you will understand better.
