I have fallen victim of 2 desperate ladies in less than 4 months that wanted to do everything and anything possible to make sure I marry them. If not for the fact I think 10 times over before making any decision, I would have been a frustrated young married man by now.




I won't pass blames now as I just heard only one side of the story.

It is so sad and disheartening that people now consider Engagement and Marriages as a form of status/competition or achievement.

Yes it is rocommended that every man should marry a wife and every wife should have a husband but that doesn't also mean someone should stick his/her head to everlasting sorrows and humiliation just for the fear of the society mocking someone of having a broken relationship.

From you post, I could depict that you have only be taking all those crap from him for the fear of not wanting to return to your "single" status.

Now ask yourself this question, a man who doesn't respect and treat you right at the most pretencious mmoment of any relationship (engagement), do you thing such a man will treat you better or worse after you both are eventually married and he knows you have no where to run to?

Sovereign National Conference.

This the era of Ibrahim Babangida till date, its a know fact the each and every government have clearly avoided the general issue of a Sovereign National Conference. The so called conference would have/ will have immense benefit to the country and citizens as a whole.

The whole tribal and religious hatred amongst Nigerians would have longed vanish if such a conference have been held.

Its usually a thing of Fear, Doubt and Confusion for Partners (Married and Unmarried) to have financial bsindings such as, lending of money, going into business and other sorts of business and financial transactions together.

Over the years, I have seen husbands borrow their wives money to do business only for the woman to default on payment. Emphasizing on the fact that "two have become one" so therefore there's no need to repay the debt.

A friend of mine's girlfriend is demanding from him a loan of N750,000 to go and shop in Uk for her shop in Nigeria for. summer. He came to seek my advance and I bluntly kicked against it. Maybe because of past experiences but I will rather give as a gift any amount to a partner rather than borrow.

medulah07: am happy about this post,well i want to counter what BB DELTA view is all abt on small guys trying to own a house before marriage or abt to marry. you would need to understand that the level at which the our economy is functioning,and then make heys while the sun shines. many pples feel getting ur own house will reduce ur marital expenditure and you will be focused on building your investment and your children not giving one landlord prey.also consider the inrease in house rent within the period of 10yrs so your assumption might not work in terms of changes in all facet.getting yourself a shelter first then build a lifetime investment.
