His eyes seems bloodshot in this photo, and he looks pale. He must have died of a liver disease

Danka7777: I have always been of the opinion that there is a foreign/western force behind the death of every African Leader. Now, don't argue this with me. Simply pick up a book and read about past African leaders and their sudden deaths, especially those that tried to build an independent nation. Those they couldn't kill, such as Mugabe are rubbished and made to look like a Dictator.
Bros let the truth be told. Mugabe is not a democrat. He fought for the liberation of his country. Zimbabweans and we the casual observers are proud of his sacrifice. But he has overstayed his welcome. He is simply another African despot that is power-drunk. His refusal to relinquish power even in his dying days says a lot about him. As he goes into decline, he's determined to pull the whole country down with him. So he ranks high on my despot leaders rating.

What a sad loss!

I don't know why some despots like Mugabe, Al-bashir, Museveni, Kabila, etc should be alive while the good ones dies.

Once again I beg you; do not engage him just let Spyder continue with his thread.

whealthy: I can only say
1. The above case will not meet the conditions laid down for proving self defence. The law has made it very strict, and the supreme court has laid down some conditions too in various locus classicus which this case cannot meet
2. He might plead mistake of fact, although this will be difficult but it might succeed.
All in all, his lawyers have a tough role.
If i were the prosecution, i would try him for murder, seems more like this was intentional killing. The police should seek for a motive.
RIP to the unfortunate woman
This is where the problem lies for the prosecuting team. How can they prove that the killing was premeditated? I believe that the accused will walk free in the end or get a very light sentence, provided that his rifle has licence.
CrimeRe: Man Mistakenly Shoots Wife In Enugu by ACM10: 12:29pm On Jul 24, 2012
The man murdered his wife with style. Even if he intends to fire at thieves, he must look well to avoid the incidence of friendly fire. You don't fire carelessly into the darkness to scare thieves. Why can't he shoot up if his real aim is to scare the thieves away.

Billyonaire: Manslaughter...that's life imprisonment without parole.
Unintentional manslaughter due to self-defense. He can only land in jail if his rifle does not have licence.

This is the front of Enugu Prison littered with refuse mixed with sewage from the septic tank of the prison(located outside the perimeter of the prison) overflowing into the gutter.

shymmex: The judges can't even answer the question. sad

There's nothing called plagiarism in a debate..

This isn't a coursework nor dissertation, it's a debate for crying out loud..
shymmex: I understand where you're coming from. Basically, I was going to use the article and a couple of other articles for my scholarship - but I was just too busy yesterday to do that, hence why I lifted part of the article (the first and second paragraph) - but the bigger chunk of my scholarship was written by me. I didn't even get marks for the parts I allegedly plagiarized, according to the judges' analysis.

And there's nothing called; plagiarism in a debate. Normal judges would've overlooked that - and focus on the contents of today's debate.
shymmex: Professor PhysicsQED

is there anything called 'plagiarism' in a debate?? grin
Oh yes! Plagiarism exists in a debate. Plagiarism is the use of another person's idea or a part of their work and pretend that it is your own. The term 'plagiarism' is not relative. It covers a wide range of discourse from coursework to dissertation to debate to ordinary discussion. Actually, everyone of us do make use of other people's idea inorder to improve on ours. Afteral no one is a repository of knowledge. This is intellectually acceptable if only you acknowledge the originator of the idea. It becomes plagiarism if you fails to do so. The current US vice-president, Joe Biden was disgraced out of 1988 Democratic presidential primaries after he plagiarized someone's work in his speech and debate. As recent as last year, an anti-Obama Republican politician was disgraced out of the senatorial primaries after he plagiarized Obama's 2004 speech at Democratic convention. A student was rusticated from my school after he plagiarized someone's work in his term paper. It is even a criminal offence to plagiarize in some European countries.
So, my friend, you owe us an apology for plagiarizing someone's work in a simple debate. How can we entrust our future in the hands of intellectually dishonest folks like you. You should cover your face in shame. If I were you, I will abandon my Shymmex handle for a new one. Your action is shameful.

shymmex: @Bluetooth

Why can't you just leave these people alone, and focus on your region? You should be smart enough to know that no separatist group can declare a republic without going through the UN - and the UN has to vote... If it was that easy; Scotland, Western Sahara, Tibet, Kashmir, Kurds etc.. would have their own countries by now..

They don't even have a clear boundary, no map, and no organisation - yet you're taking this joke seriously.. grin

Leave them alone. grin
You are as ignorant as your ilk(bluetooth), if your case is not worse. When is it customary for UN to vote before a region secedes? undecided
I've told you before to stop assaulting us with your ignorance.

Eziachi: I bet it was your spiritual prayer that started the blood river going on now in the north, Mr prophet?
I kept asking this question, what does people like you want? no Nigeria, No Biafra, just sidon dey look? Probabaly your god of blood will do something one day.

You people always thrive as spoilers.
That is why you fielded Nuhu Ribadu as a presidential candidate but never voted for him/your party because he is not one of you. You led Buhari to believe in an alliance until the last minute when you pulled the plug. And you secretly voted for Jonathan to spoil-spoil but couldn't get yourself to support his lukewarm leadership and government.
Everywhere you look, you are criticising Jonathan but it was actually your vote that tipped the scale for him. I can't really get you people. Everyday it becomes clearer that you guys prefer this chaotic Nigeria because that how you thrive, just like a pick pocket who doesn't like orderliness, rather chaotic environment because that how he thrives.
Ohaneze people, just few days ago produced a paper of how they see a future and better Nigeria through a constitutional reform, you guys jumped in with you usual tripes of anything Igbo must be hated, Biafra option is mentioned today, all you can contribute is your usual Biafra landlocked and at the same time can't support owners of Nigeria like Jonathan for the continuation of Nigeria.
What the heck do you want?
Some of them are benefiting from the status quo. So they have no reason to clamour for change.

Why is it that most fakers here claim half-Igbo half-Yoruba? undecided

Hoodrat: My mum is igbo and my dad is yoruba.. Growing up i dont have such mentality you have in your brain thinking independent will bring a change when love is missing from every angle.

Eziachi: I bet you love that, just as they took care of subsidy demostration in Lagos and I couldn't see your white teeth then. You don't love Nigeria, you hated the Biafra option. What do you really want?

Hoodrat: The day igbo leaders stop deceiving our people will they be able to achieve their dreams for am sure 80% igbos are not in support of biafra and no longer aware of such and dont even trust their selves to begin with. You are here preaching freedom to people but look around your people time is going by and still cant get it right, look how fhucked up the eastern region of nigeria is full of dirt and shit holes and nothing to show for our eastern region leaders failed us woefully and you still go around preaching independent when nothing has been achieved by the states and local government of every eastern region so are you telling me the eastern government are yoruba or haussa? you need to quit fooling us. You are expecting a greedy and deceitful leader that will fight for his pocket first before the people to lead millions of helpless people you must be day dreaming bro.I see you really dont know what you are saying? i wont be surprise if you are another version of oju iku or just another greedy igbo. thats why you are supporting based on what you heard and what your council of elders want you to believe in.. Our problem is not about independence but ourselves.
@bolded
You can never know the exact figure until you put it to test through referendum.

gboss4sure: I can't explain how the arrangement escaped your attention but I don't know if u re a insider. But trust me those arrangements are been made.
Brother, let's not decieve ourselves. No arrangement has been made. Referendum for independence is a very serious business. Ask the people of Quebec in Canada. The proponents of the referendum will be fighting the federal government as well as the unwilling section of its populace and others. But the toughest opponent of them all is the federal government who will deploy all weapon within its arsenal to scuttle the independence quest of that region within its territory. If we start the journey in the right way today, my conservative estimate of the time we will achieve our primary aim is 12years. The process will start with engaging in the political process to elect pro-Biafra politicians to the elected offices in our region and the center. The politicians will move a motion for independence in the house. This is the hardest part. Cos the debate might take years and involves a lot of political maneuver, alliance formation, alliance breakdown. This debate will eventually lead to referendum. If the pro-Biafra group emerges victorious after the referendum, they will enter serious negotiation with the center on boundary adjustment. This might take years, since there's bound to be some sticky areas. After that, a date for the declaration of independence will be set. Followed by independence. If this process does not follow this pattern, then the other option is to take up arms to achieve our aim of independence with its accompanying consequences. So let us get involved in the political process. Let us vote for the pro-Biafra politicians and activists. Let us pursue this goal with some degree of orderliness. I rest my case.
