Thank you Sir. (Of course I learnt/learning from you all, the Masters here)

I like this order:
1a. Turkey/Chinese/Local Iron/Steel doors before tilings so all the braces underneath can be leveled/tiled.
1b. Also if this is bathroom or kitchen with tiles all around the doors... makes it look better and rounded.

2. If Wooden doors with or without architraves, install the frames or sub-frames first and all around well plastered.

3. Install the actual Wooden doors after the tilings.
Sorry.. if I have missed anything. And I stand corrected.

Hajji M.
Late reply but let me still chip in.

Doors with adjustable height can be installed after tiling while doors that have a fixed height should be installed before tiling.

Example. Bullet proof steel Israeli security doors have adjustable height turkey security doors are fixed.

Wooden doors with architrave are installed after tiling because the door itself can be planed at top and bottom. If its a framed door 50mm is reasonable allowance while solid wooden doors have much higher adjustments allowance. The framed door usually has a 50mm thick frame, to keep the strength of the door intact, 25mm each from top and bottom can be planed off. American panel wooden doors come at 2050mm so i tell my tilers to level the floor accordingly and never provide allowance less than 2m.

Also, all steel frames or complete doors go in before tiling.

Opel vehicles are not very common in the south south, you might find only a handful in. The south-east

But enter Kano, abuja, jos bauchi Gombe

They are all over the place and are used commercially.

Do not buy a cheap mechanically sound car, only to find out you will Have to place order from a different state and wait a couple of days for parts as simple as brakepads, water pumps, struts, exhaust parts, starter motor alternator.....

It can be very frustrating. It is worse when there is only 1 mech in that town that fixes that model, his shakara might be plenty smiley

Note: Not every one is technically and can hold spanner, There are some who prefer to watch while others fix.

You don't have to use the Bible as yardstick since there are other religions and their beliefs. I have seen a place in China were it is their culture for girls of the ripe age to pick any man of her choice, even if she gets pregnant her family owns the child and she can have any man wants and there is nothing wrong with it. And on the issue of women crying at burial place, trust me, when you lost your love ones you whether a man or a woman will want to cry your eyes out, but the society expect you to hold your self as a man, I am speaking from experience
Tell me what percentage of that culture is in the entire world. Do they constitute 1% of the population of the world?

To be able to generalize, tell me they are 90% of all the world population.

Bros do you know there are cultures in some parts of the world were women are allowed the liberty to have multiple partner, and in such situations can not be regarded as more emotional than men? The illusion that women are more emotional than men is created by our society. As a guy vow to your self that you will never cheat and stick to one woman and see if you won't get emotional. The society has force one woman to one man, but it allows a man to many women
Christianity has forced one man to one man too but does not allow a man to many women.

The problem i see is gender inequality which God himself created. The Bible has records of men of God marrying more than one wife but has non on women. It is not our society that created this difference, its been so since the beginning of time.

When you go to a funeral, how many men do you see crying vs women crying.

Women are more emotional to men, its a fact of nature not just a societal gender inequality.

You say women are very emotional and have sex with emotions attached?.....well ......where does this analysis placed the rungirls and the prostitutes or are they not women.?
Women enjoys sex much more than men, it is just the society that made it seem otherwise.
The write up included some percentage, this means it is not a generalization.

The average woman is emotional while the average man is lustrous. This doesn't mean momen are not lustrous na men are not emotional. These are just behavioral tendancies and i quite agree with the research.

I have a friend who cheats on daily basis with different girls but he still loves and respect his wife. Everything he does for a girl he sleeps with, he makes sure his wife enjoys twice that. It takes a heartless woman to do what this guy is doing. The kind of woman that could kill her husband. These kind of women are few.

Good evening sir. My 06 corolla keeps giving me the fault code Po741 pls what do you advice. I've done a transmission flush with Type TIV but the code is still there
It seems this transmission is notorious for this fault. Our 2006 Pontiac Vibe which has same engine and transmission has it too. My online search has shown its a very common thing.

Unfortunately, the affected solenoid is inside the gear box. Transmission sump and valve body has to be removed to access it for a swap unless its an external harness problem.

It doesnt affect transmission shifting or engine performance but affects fuel efficiency. I have been thinking of a solution to this. The only external test i have seen is to disconnect and find the specific solenoid + wire and test it with - ground which should give battery voltage. It no voltage, then the problem is external.

The solenoid affected is a lock up solenoid to locked the transmision and engine in a 1:1 ratio. This only happens in D4. The code means there is no lock up and possibly the ratio will not be 1:1 meaning the transmission will not be utilizing some engine output which means more fuel.

Right now i need an electrical diagram source to know the particular wire that belongs to this solenoid among the transmission harnesses.

Help -one Of My Bosses Said I Should Never Send Him A Mail Again

I am currently in deep shit. I happen to work as an analyst with the overall manager of a company in Kaduna . I am a data guy and not really a Manger, not interested in being one either. Today, We needed information from the branch managers,3 of them to be precise. I was tasked with
ensuring they send the information on time.

I got a mail from the Regional office threatening to carry out disciplinary action if they didnt send the information. From the mail I got to find out our State is the only one that hasnt sent theirs.

So I sent a reminder to the Branch Managers requesting urgently for the said inputs, I told them the delay was becoming quite embarassing to the state and we need to send this information out urgently.

To my surprise a branch manager called me and clearly told me I shouldnt send him such mails again, he said I insulted his office and I can tell my boss what he said.

Fellas, Nairalanders, this is frustrating, i know I have issues with the way I dish out mails and I always sound too straight forward.

I feel like resigning, maybe it's not really my thing. I need advice on how to handle this issue before they probably gang up against me.

Someone help me push to FP
It seems your mail sounded offensive. You are lucky the branch manager isnt sure if you or your boss wrote the mail. Thats why he said you can tell you your boss what he said.

Find a way other than an email to apologize.

Note: dont dare tell your boss, he may be angry with you or cause a rift between the both bosses and you know tbe saying, "when 2 elephants fight, the grass suffers".

Lastly, learn to chose your words carefully especially with regards to bosses.

My former office had this rule, all outgoing mails are saved to draft, the Manager skims through and gives you go ahead to send, even if the mail bears your name or title. That way the manager is in the picture of what was sent and how to defend himself or the company. He also highlighted any word, sentence or paragraph he wants you to either edit or delete. Because he is an expatriate and English is not his 1st language, we proof read his own official mail he is sending on be behalf of the company or his title and also correct and highlight what we have changed but try as much as possible not to change the context of what he is transmitting.

Emails are tricky and official language can easily fall either side of the line between respect and disrespect.

6PK2135 is not lower than the one I brought which is 6PK2150
If a belt cuts in one day, something else is wrong. Over heating and oil are the ones that cause most early failures but yours sounds like a mechanical failure. Most likely it is a bad crank pulley or power stearing pulley. It could be something else touching the belt. It also could be wrong routing.

If 6PK2135 is the spec number, i expect the mechanic to have a little difficulty in putting it.

What they usually do is buy a larger one such as the 6PK2150 they gave you that would not stress them but will not last long.

When you buy a new one, pls buy a spare. This thing can stop you anywhere though hardly ever if pulleys are ok.

The question is, you want it back and how to get it?
Democratically, its like passing a camel through the eye of the needle.

The whole of Nigeria needs to agree to it. The call for restructuring must be done in a way that all Nigerians will see the benefit. For now, the call seems selfish and the larger part of the country will not agree to it.

I am glad you made mention of "solution" but it appears even you cannot identify the solution because it is right before you. You keep talking about corruption (never mind that there is corruption in very country in the world, just that in our case it is brazen).

Now, it appears you keep missing the point - when there is accountability, corruption is FORCED to reduce. That is one of the expected results of accountability. It therefore makes your point I put in bold ironic - saying the problem is corruption and not accountability. The question is, how do you reduce corruption?

So for me, it should be in this order:

true federalism (resource control, etc) -> accountability -> reduced corruption.

Just for you to see how difficult to reduce corruption with this current system - take a look at the number of cases being thrown up every week. Presently we are on the Maina episode. A new one will pop up this week. With this system corruption will never reduce. It is simply a basket being filled with water. It actually encourages corruption by its very nature and there is nothing that can be done about that, than to scrap it. So it is actually ironic or oxymoronic to think of keeping this current form of governance and effectively fighting corruption. It will NOT work.
All i want you to understand is that that which you desire (true federalism) has no place in our constitution. To amend that part of the constitution is not impossible but with the kind of differences we have, it is nearly impossible to achieve.

Accountability is a choice, so is corruption. They are two sides of a coin. If one is up, the other is down. The desired result is to have corruption faced down and accountability up.

I desire that Nigerians should stop counting stars and focus on the best way to work on this constitution.

Buhari was elected on the platform of anti corruption that would have given birth to accountability but so far has failed on that mandate. I have derived a lesson from this, fighting corruption is more of a legislative and judiciary responsibility than executive.

It seems we are in a fix, we cant restructure, our legislators are too corrupt to wake up to their responsibilities, the legal system works for the highest bidder and removing corruption from the executive is like looking for a needle in a haystack.

Only a military regime can achieve restructuring, that seems to be the only solution but its not going to happen.

Now the question is I want her to abort the child and focus on her education but the guy said he ready and my mom called me and said that my sister said if anything should happen to her that it's on our head.
Please I want you to post it so I can hear people's opinions on this so I can know the right thing to do because I'm I'm going crazy.

Please I need a good advice on how to follow this matter. My mom want her to suffer so she can learn her lesson but me she will bring shame to me and my family. I'm just a boy of 22 years old still on the street.
How old is the pregnancy? If its older than 2 months, let her have the child.

I would not encourage her to get married but you can avoid family embarrassment by sending her away to someplace to give birth and return to her studies after nursing the child. It happens and it doesn't mean abortion is the only solution. Your mother should be able to adopt the child while your sister faces he studies.

Am sure in time you will forget your sister's indecency and be proud of the child she will have.

Firstly there is no evidence in the two images confirming that population is the only basis for electoral votes number. It may be a coincidence or just one of the determinants.
Secondly, have you considered that population is indicative of how much the state contributes to the federal revenues instead of just using it for sharing federal allocation monthly?
Thirdly, do states have greater control over the census in their states compared to our own country where the north controls and distorts the census since population is for sharing federal allocation along with land size?
Can you please explain why Kano state has 44 LGAs, Lagos 20 despite their almost equal 2006 fraudulent census population and Lagos contributes more to the federation account huh
How can a nation progress in such circumstances?
Any reasonable Nigerian should be concerned and work together for restructuring to unlock each region’s potentials.

The USA clearly understands that he who pays the piper dictates the tune.
Those who contribute the most to the federation account should have a greater say in the federal government. Anything else is a recipe for unending disaster.
Why would you want that for our country.
Do you really know why Texas or NY has such high electoral votes? It has nothing to do with the money they contribute to the US State. Pls make ur research.

No northerner is in charge of NDDC, the Niger Delta Ministry nor the states that receive the 13% derivation. Where does the money go?

When you start asking these questions, you will understand what is happening.

We pay higher labour charges than anywhere in the north. The force us using threats to hire unskilled labour in place of skilled labour. Every chief, community leader, youth leader must recieve kickbacks else no work. I almost got fired when a community stopped work for a month and mentioned the issue on tv. The truth is there but you wont accept it.

I have worked same industry in the north and south. In the north, communities and its leaders ask contractors how they can be of help, in the south communities and its leaders ask how can the contractor help them. Meanwhile there is more poverty in the north.

I have seen in the north where a community arranged free accommodation for workers. We work on peoples lands that have not yet received their compensation.

While in the south, the heavily inflated compensation even becomes higher than the contract sum itself. Family members killing themselves and ending up in court for those moneys meanwhile the contract is held up because they wont allow work continue on their land. I have seen fake grave yards, fake builing foundations etc just because a survey is being carried out for a proposed project. I have seen a church recieve a huge compensation far beyond the worth of their property, turn around to build a mighty structure in the same place asking for 2 billion compensation and even going to court.

President? He has no such powers.

NASS? They have no such powers.

Judiciary? You know the answer to this.

2/3rd of Senate + 2/3rd of HoR + 2/3rd of all 36 state assemblies + 2/3rd of all 773 local government councils.

Why do you think a state or local government has never been created democratically in the history of Nigeria? Every state and every local government is the creation of the military. Dont you think our constitution was made that way to ensure the unity of Nigeria. Even a referendum is unconstitutional.

Dont forget the last attempt to create local governments failed which gave birth to development areas that are now dead in most states.
