Last year, i and a friend met this fine girl. She had a car and was doing well for herself. We hung out on Christmas day but this girl refused taking anything. We wondered why she acted high on something. Every now and then she would go to her car, take a gulp of zobo from a water bottle. She later confessed it was her fifth bottle of codeine. Lastly, my friend took a 200mg tab of tramadol, they had a marathon that day. I have taken tramadol about 5yrs ago but prescribed by a doctor in the hospital. As a brother, he made me promise to abide by his instruction and gave me a serious warning before writing the prescription. He told me it was addictive and i should discontinue it with all efforts after his prescription is finished. True to his words, i had about 3 sleepless nights trying to quit before i returned to normalcy. I had a very very painful boil in my nostril. I couldn't eat, brush my teeth or even wash my face. Thought of night was a nightmare because my pains tripples in the night so i couldn't sleep apart from the serious migraine. Tramadol gave me a huge relieve but after the boil healed few days later and i stopped taking the drug, i couldnt sleep. When i couldn't sleep 1st day i took a tab and surprisingly i slept like a baby. The next day same. I now realized what the doctor told me is true and it downed on me i had to stop. Well, i dumped the drug, lost my sleep for 3 days before lack of sleep did its job. Hallelujah!!! Thats how i was saved from tramadol. |

brainpulse:In my opinion, it is disgusting to read that a Minister of state has no input on contracts awarded by an agency he has oversight roles in. If the NNPC is taking a contract to FEC, who takes it? Buhari himself? What then is the role of the Minister of state when the Minister himself has too many roles. This Minister of state is the immediate past GMD and has done such duties and set some of the rules, how come he is making baseless accusations on things he has firstclass experience in? I know when i am being lied to. Besides, if the GMD and his GED's are the ones who make up the NNPC tenders board, it means they hold both the cake and the knife. Of course the group will cut themselves big pieces without anyone's interruption. Diezanni or Baru can award whatever contract they want and how they want it. Its mind boggling. |
kingreign:This means 5w-30 by Toyota is not synthetic. Only 0w-20 is. |
EponOjuku:You are getting it all wrong. Igbos want to be President, they will never get it if they dont give and take. They have to give it then take it. They have refused in that thats why they are not getting. The reason why Yoruba is getting is because they give their support and get reciprocal support. Its high time igbos played their cards well. However, Atiku will not get them anywhere. The North West is the major block of the north if not Nigeria, am not sure Atiku will get it since he is from the North east. If he doesn't, then Igbos would have placed their eggs in the wrong basket. |
Simmzz:You are bro! |
Win or lose, let Atiku know that this is his last contest. Buhari was only lucky GEJ f...ed up. Though Buhari is f...ing up, it doesnt mean Nigerians would repeat its mistakes. |
I knew this will never happen even though i wish it was going to happen. I thank God for my lack of interest in watching football leagues that have no relationship to my nation. Nigeria has put on a stake their right to get quality pay by allowing those who have no patriotism to this nation to own rights of the best channels in the world. I am more interested in moviea and science documentary which i cant afford the premium price DSTV has pegged for it. Paying almost the minimum wage monthly for TV is impossible for me. May God helps us. |
jomoh:I have read this thread from opening post to the last comment. I followed both of you. I asked you a specific question based on a specific sentence in your post. All you have done is use words like stupid, dumb etc without attending to the question. Intelligent people do not avoid questioning or get unnecessarily pissed for being asked a question, dumb or not. People who are knowledgeable offer explanations, people who are not knowledgeable offer insults, dont be part of the latter. I am not an economist neither a bank or an investment specialist. I use common sense in matters that i am not a professional in. Maybe you didnt comprehend my question so i will rephrase. It becomes a crime because you cannot just transfer N1bn cash into another unrelated company's account let alone liquidate an investment into another unrelated company's account From the above, you claim it is a crime to carry out that kind of liquidation. My question is, who processed the liquidation? It must have been done through the bank. The company with the investment that was liquidated must have given orders through official mediums for the bank to effect it. If the order of the company was a crime, why would a bank carryout the illegal liquidation? Why would EFCC investigate the person who's company recieved the liquidated funds and not the bank that processed an illegal transaction or the company that ordered it. Or are you telling me that 1Billion can move from one account to another without the bank's approval. Is the processing bank not aware of the crime that they were processing? I do remember, when my former boss wanted to transfer convert and repatriate about N30m and $100,000 from the company acc to the head office acc domiciled in Romania, all sorts of bottle necks where given to him as conditions which he couldnt meet. It meant it was a crime to repatriate such money outside the country so the bank gave him conditions he couldnt meet. 2 other banks also gave same conditions. He had to transfer the money to a BDC operator who gave him an exorbitant charge for the transaction. |
Very funny message on the closed site

jomoh:Those who are quick to rain insults actually donot have anything to give. I asked a simple question, you obviously have no answer in your arsenal but a lot of insults. There are no conversations on NL, there posts. Anyone can quote and post. Dont act dumb, it doesnt fit your argument. |
jomoh:About the bolded, who has committed the crime, the bank that approved an illegal transfer or the person whose account is the destination. EFCC can do all the investigations they like, it will never make sense to rope Ibe Kachikwu's name in something that does not directly relate to him or his immediate family. |
Elder4sure:Am disappointed you cant do your homework well before raining insults. The Deputy Governor Vacancy was created by a retired female North central person from Kwara and a female north central person from Niger replaced her. How erong can that be? The CBN governor is from South South. His successor will be from the north because the CBN position is rotated in most cases. Am sure ppl like you will cry to high heavens then without recourse to what has been the tradition. |
Nothing much to say. Dr Sarah was from a North central state and this replacement comes from a North central state. Her portfolio isnt that loaded but she has done quite alot at her age. Good one for the youth. |
HIGHESTPOPORI:So what? |
spotty232:I didnt say you should disassociate corruption from government. People who are corrupt are in government. You cant say government is corrupt because there are people who are in the government that are not corrupt. Its just not a good generalization. People are corrupt not government. |
HIGHESTPOPORI:Yes i did, Jonathan gave NOI the order to give Dasuki Billions of Naira against her advice, knowing fully well the money was an illegal diversion. NOI said it, Dasuki said it, Jonathan didnt deny it. You also need to tell me that Buhari gave the NNPC GMD the order to spend those monies the way he did. |
spotty232:In your view, corruption is government and government is corruption, abi? Am trying to make a point out of your post. |
awa:Yes, very correct. Why would a father defend his unmarried pregnant daughter whose act is a disgrace to him in the public? It doesnt appeal to my common sense. You think all this negative publicity is Buhari's own doing? Something that tarnishes his anti corruption drive. Its high time Nigerians started thinking appropriately. Some people here are mentioning APC. Its not funny? What are we thinking? Where is common sense? |
spotty232:I support your point but defer on the your inference on the government. When you say government, it means Buhari ordered the release of this counter accusation on the Minister. I see no motive for a whole President to engage in mudslinging. The person who has a motive is the NNPC GMD and his cronies. They are more likely to have a grievance to want to tarnish the image of their tormentor. A lot of people always mention either the government or APC but i see the insinuations as baseless. Its corruption that is fighting back while rubbing mud on the government's responsibilities. Its embarrassing to the government but the government wont embarass themselves. |
So Dumebi Kachikwu is Ibe Kachikwu's younger brother. So if money was liquidated to Dumebi's account, did the money end up in Ibe's account or that of his immediate family? This case will not stick to the Minister. Its unfortunate how Nigerians always tries to discredit any whistle blower. This is what happened with Jibrin of the House of reps. |
Nbote: First off dat barrier must have been out of placeThe above quote is what i dont agree with. Even overpass bridges have maximum heights written on them but drivers still hit them in Abj and Lagos. |
