Kingkamal:It is an established fact, not only in Nigeria. I dont even use any German car for your info. The average German car has more electronics and wiring than an average Japanese car. More electronics mean more electronics problems. Read this thread https://www.quora.com/Why-are-German-luxury-car-brands-such-as-Mercedes-and-BMW-so-unreliable-after-3-4-years-according-to-Consumer-Reports-vs-5-star-rated-Japanese-cars |
Hell yeah! Only if i have $30billion in my account. The car is practically new. The owner invested on the car and needs to profit. |
Maximus85:Drinking is not a sin so i don't need excuses. |
Maximus85:You shot yourself in the foot. It is not the act of looking at the woman that is a sin, it is the lust or thought of sex with her that is the sin. Looking at my brothers wife is not a sin but the moment i think how great sex with her is, i have crossed the line. That becomes sin. If looking at women is a sin, we will all be sinners and will be sinning every day and night. In the same vein, it is not drunkenness that is the sin, it is what you mind thinks and the actions you do that is the sin. We also know that drunkenness leads to a lack of self control which also leads to sin. Note also that lack of self control is not sin but the influence of lack of self control leads to sin. For eg, you drink beer and get drunk, you get more confidence and approach a prostitute. You dont care about how hungry your children are, you just need sex, you pay any amount to have sex. Sex is the sin but not the act of paying money or drunkenness. Ordinarily, you would not have done that but for the influence of alcohol. Finally, it is my opinion that alot of Christians are reading the bible out of context including you. You quote a verse to support your opinion but unfortunately the context of the verse you are quoting is different. It means you are guilty of twisting the word of God which in my opinion is wrong but may not be a sin. However it is false proclamation. |
eagleonearth:Is drinking a sin? |
asuustrike2009:If you mean this 4 it is not for kings to drink wine, not for rulers to crave beer, 5 lest they drink and forget what has been decreed, and deprive all the oppressed of their rights.then its you who seems to misinterpret the Bible. I want to believe you are implying that "decreed" means verse 4. That is not correct at all. Kings and rulers use decrees to deliver judgment, verse 4 is not a decree so which decree is verse 5 talking about. Its simply the law, or in modern times the constitution. Would you want a drunk judge to sentence you to jail. A drunk king, to represent your village? No! So thats exactly what that verse advices rulers and kings. As a matter of fact, it does not outlaw them from taking wine. So where are you getting sin from? |
asuustrike2009:Would you please quote where it says "donot drink wine" "drinking wine is a sin" "drinking wine makes a Christian unholy". I am tired of reading your kind of responses. Proof its a sin to drink wine. I got angry with a close friend of mine during my wedding bachelor's eave. I had lots of bottles of whisky, brandy, rum, vodka etc in my car trunk. Whenever a friend or group desires one, i ask my best man to get them one. But my lady friend and my best man's s babe decided amongst themselves i should not get drunk. So they started hoarding the drinks even the one i was drinking disappeared. Friends where asking, i went to the car, but there was non. I got pissed and luckily i saw them coversing and celebrating their success in denying me of alcohol. They had no idea how pissed i had become. So i went to the bar, ordered myself a big bottle of Guinness stout. I dared them to come and stop me from drinking it. When i raised the bottle, i made sure it was empty before dropping. I angryly barked at them to better get those drinks to those i planned it for before i will do something they will both regret. My lady friend never got over from how i addressed her that day. Moral of my story is, those who dont drink constantly find those who do to be irritating and even go as far as committing sin to stop the act which itself is not a sin. If i were drunk, they would be good friends to stop me from getting more. But Jesus turned water to wine for guest at a wedding meanwhile my friends where hoarding wine from guest at my wedding. Are they Christians? |
Maximus85:Bros, even drunkenness is not a sin. The sin is the unholy action you do while in the drunken state. You are more prone to commit sin during drunkenness. So both drinking and drunkenness are not sins. |
Bodeline:His wife no be woman o. If i see this kind picture i go assume na scam. |
rumours:The fact that i didnt say anything does not mean i dont have an opinion. I agree to the fact that merit should be one of the basis for admissions and employments but i dont agree it is the only basis. For example, there are jobs suited only for 1st class graduates and there are others suited for 3rd class graduates only. A 1st class graduate may not perform well in such roles. I have seen such play out severally. I have attended test and exams with 1st class and 2-1 graduates of other schools and have scored higher than some. What becomes of merit in such a case? Have you imagined what would have become of Nigeria by now if the quota system wasn't initiated? Dont forget, quota is not 100% of admissions. Do you know that 10% of admissions is at the discretion of the university administrations. 90% is shared 50-50 for merit and quota. Furthermore, the quota is shared between catchment area and educationally less developed states 25-20% respectively. Do you understand the implication of that quota? Back then, when my father went to primary school, school fees wasnt heard of up to university level. They were given uniforms, fed food their parents couldn't afford, they only had to show up at school enroll and pass exams and everything flows till you get employed almost automatically. The quota system came because population exploded and government couldnt do all those things. There were too many qualified for admissions and schools couldnt take them. Schools had to drop some. Its not real to say we want to graduate only 1st class. So who will be a civil servant? The society we live in encaurages striking a balance. That balance includes dropping some who had merit. Look at the situation where Ogun state for example has the most merited candidates in a UTME exam. They will all be admitted before the next state. Say the next 3 states are South west states, by the time you get to the 4th state there is no longer space for admission. So even some on merit would not get admissions. Then the educationally less developed states will continue to backslide till they are ravaged by illiteracy and poverty. Then they become the eye sore of Nigeria. Their state governments cannot function. When there is illiteracy and poverty, crime takes over. Armed robbers of Nigeria will be of a particular region. They become outcast, discriminated and hated. Then war looms. In our small family units, boys usually have more merit than girls, but girls are given more educational support than boys. I have 2 sisters, my pocket money during secondary was less than a quarter of theirs. Today we are all married, whatever financial challenge they have, my parents assisted them but not me. Its not because they are more loved. In secondary school i used to cry whether am not truly birthed by my parents. Today i have realised that it is a natural thjng to support the weak and let the strong struggle. The strong will survive using his strength. The quota is meant to bring a societal balance and its working even though the system isnt working perfectly. We are supposed to have more schools that the quota system will dessipate but reverse is the case. If you are qualified for admissions by merit and you didnt get admission, its government failure not a bad quota system. Let me bore you a little more. When NECO came and gave credits anyhow, universities even in the north were not happy. University admissions double but what happened, mass failure. My set in the uni was 50 the next set was 150 for the very 1st time in the history of the department. By graduation, my class was 25 but the next set was 40. Imagine how they were trimmed down. All these things balances out. I can continue but let me stop here, i believe i have made a lot of points for you to digest. Lastly, dont forget that no one graduates with less than 5 credits in o level. Thats what qualifies you for admission not JAMB. Jamb is a result of failed educational system. What is the equivalent of Jamb in US or UK? |
naijamakossa:Hmmmm My weight is non of your business ![]() Dont you think you might be saying that to your father? Children of nowadays! |
This is me at Bethany Christian Academy Barkin Ladi Plateau State, 2008.

rumours:Hmmmmm U gat issues! ![]() |
I can see that 11 governors attended my alma mater. An ABUSITE IS NATURALLY AHEAD OF YOU! |
GAZZUZZ:I knew this will happen. Sins of the father, curse of his descendants. |
superbouck:Durability - Asbestos (cement fibre board) Price (affordability) - PVC Safety - Asbestos (cement fibre board) Let me add my own Soundproofing (rain or noise from other rooms) - Asbestos (cement fibre board) Installation - PVC Water resistance - PVC (although Asbestos has very good water resistance too) Insulation - Asbestos (cement fibre board) |
segzy14:He cant buy Asbestos in the market, its not in production. It has been banned long ago. The risk is on those who work with it. The fibers if inhaled could cause lung problems including cancer. What people call Asbestos now is actually cement fibre board. Same appearance but not the same raw material. It used to be cement+asbestos but now cement+cellulose |
tobiasbeecher:Exactly, the court will deal with proof only that army has him. Without such proof, no freedom for sureties. No one can proof he is with Army. |
ybalogs:Correct guy. LOL, salt na im be the enforcement now. |
Priscy01:I think there is a misconception here. The cause for their darkness may have been the bill he refused to pay. I have seen a similar situation. This girl has a buka shop she sells food. She does some cooking at home with electric cooker. But the compoub house uses a single prepaid meter for 6 tenants and she never contributes to buy unit. Since the installation of the prepaid meter, others have agreed to stop using kettle boilers cookers etc but this girl secretly uses it to cook all night without paying. Her house was disconnected but na landlord she reported to. They had to reconnect her and negotiate with PHCN on estimated billing and disconnected the prepaid meter. Issue got blown, the PHCN guy who did the arrangement got fired and the landlord gave every tenant quit notice. Just because 1 wise person wont do what is required, a person lost his job, while they all had the burden of moving not to talk of the discomfort when units got exhausted in the night or weekend while there was electricity everywhere. If their blackout was as a result of his lack of contribution, then its karma. He deserves it. But if its a general blackout, then she was plainly wicked. |
tobiasbeecher:How would an individual indict the FG? Is he a court of law? When Abaribe signed the bail conditions, there was no place it would ever say if the army attacks his house, then he is free of his obligation to produce Kanu in court. If the army arrested Kanu, yes he has a case. But they said they didnt, what can a court work with? Set all sureties free when the accused is missing. LOL. Keep dreaming, that will never happen. |
tobiasbeecher:If the army kills Shekau, they will say they did and be proud of it. You seem to have the opinion government arrested him and kept him secretly for the motive of dousing the tension Kanu created. It sounds like a good motive but no government would contemplate that since its illegal. If Kanu was arrested and government didnt say they did, its a big fundamental right issue. So the government cannot arrest him and keep him in secret because the day he is realeased, the allegations against them will be grievous that the international community will have to sanction Nigeria. On the other hand, for FG to avoid the 1st case scenerio, they should have killed him. This will be equally a bad choice as an illegal killing and taking away of the remains by the army will be a serious problem for the Army if discovered. This doesnt even happen in Nigeria. Army kill people, yes i agree, but they never take away dead bodies without giving records of it. It doesnt make sense for the army to go to Kanu's house with the mission to kill him using amoured tanks, APC's and machine guns. Both arrest and killing of Kanu couldn't have happened. What i know happened is the fact that Kanu knows very well to disappear using the army as an alibi, this will help him to; 1. Avoid arrest and returning to prison 2. Stop his treason trial that can send him to prison for life 3. Set up the government for backlash 4. Bring the international community into the matter 5. Become a martyred hero while being alive. Kanu gains more by disappearing than the government does. |
msld:FG fell for it mean while Abaribe is about to lose his 100milly while you are posting "Habeas Corpus". And they judge doesnt seem to buy into you Hebeas what? Justice Binta Nyako of the Federal High Court in Abuja on Tuesday ordered Senator Eyninnaya Abaribe, and two others standing as sureties for the leader of the proscribed Indigenous People of Biafra, Nnamdi Kanu, to explain the IPOB leader’s whereabouts. Kanu who was granted bail by the judge on April 24, 2017, was absent from court on Tuesday when his trial was billed to commence. But his three co-defendants were produced in court by prison officials. |
winningwinner:So because a senator has signed surety for him, he now becomes untouchable, abi? Assuming Kanu is dead, death certificate will be issued, dumbass. |
fabiano09:Your common sense needs prayers. Anyone who signs surety for the person he cannot produce has signed away his hard earned money and reputation. It is imaterial that the Army raided his house. As long as the army didnot officially say they have arrested Kanu, no court can free his sureties. If Kanu is dead, his death certificate will free Abaribe. If Kanu is with DSS, Army, Prison, Police or any lawemforcement withing Nigeria, Abaribe can get free. But even if Kanu speaks on radio, appears on TV, grant interviews to news media without showing up in court, Abaribe cannot get away. Its either the FG has Kanu or have Ababribe's 100m. That was what Abaribe signed, no going back. When my mum signed surety for our neighbour to get roofing sheets on credit from an Igbo trader even after our warning, she was compeled by the court to pay for the roof over our neighbours head. There was no going back and the court agreed with that Igbo trader. Its no different with Abaribe's case, dont ever sign surety for what you cannot guarantee. Let this episode teach you a vital lesson. Modified Let me add this definition of surety a person who assumes legal responsibility for the fulfilment of another's debt or obligation and himself becomes liable if the other defaultsIn other words, Abaribe is legally reponsible for Kanu's obligation to appear in court and becomes liable after Kanu did not oblidge his court summons. His liability is forfeiture of the bail bonds, 100milly. |
fabiano09:Your comment seem to be ambiguous but if i get it well, you really do not expect a surety to be free when he signed an undertaking to produce the accused. Abaribe needs to bring Kanu and ask the court to free him. No judge will refuse that. If Abaribe goes, who will be held to produce Kanu? I am shocked you can even think in that direction. |
One day i was driving on the streets. One useless man ahead did me anyhow driving and was trying to park. As i prepared my five fingers to flash him "uwaka" sign for face, na so i see say na my father friend. Na so i convert the five open uwaka fingers to five closed HI fingers smiling profusely. |
alstacs:Its either it was off, it wasnt working or wasn't a proper installation. Every energizer has an internal alarm apart from the external one you can choose to install. Cutting the cable totally disconnects it from normal functions so the enegizer must detect and trigger. At least the alarm is a forewarning function. The external speaker is very affordable and installation is very easy, it is very necessary to alert neighbors of your situation. Most robbery will be aborted if the neighbourhood is aware even before the robbery starts. Thats the use of the external speaker. I wouldn't do without it. |
TeamSimple:I think it boils down to the perception that the entire north is a Muslim dominated area. So if you are a northerner, it is assumed you are a Muslim. I suffered that in my stay in the south south. My landlord and his family were calling me "awokusa" meaning Hausaman when i am clearly not Hausa. They were shocked when i told them i speak a native language other than Hausa. Secondly, Islam in my opinion is strict. We all know strictness only breeds hypocrisy. Like in Christianity where Pastors children are expected to be like their parents but in some cases turn out to be a total embarrassment to the parents. So much is expected from them so the bar is set a little to high. It is Haram to take alcohol in Islam, in Christianity it says donot take intoxicating substance that would cause you to sin or defile your body which is the temple of God. Different denomination of Christianity interpretes that to mean donot get drunk and orders say dont drink at all. When you do, its not enough reason to say you are not a Christian but in Islam its forbidden by law. Because it is law and for every law there is a deterrent so people would find ways around the law. That is what is happening with Muslims. They do not drink publicly but take anything intoxicating that is not specifically outlawed by the Islamic law. |
