herzern:Last time a senate president tried to impeach the president in Nigeria, he was impeached first. Saraki is not APC but let him try that impeachment and see what will happen. Na HOR Buhari go use against them and the tide will change against Saraki. |
erico2k2:Non said so. Even i wonder why 4 yrs. FRSC has adopted 4 yrs too. I dont like it because they cannot proof that my tires are expired neither do any law guides that. My convicton is based on published researches, general experiences and observations with use of rubber products weather synthetic or natural. Most publications i have seen state 4-6years as expiry periods for tires. Of course i agree tires expire, but the expiry period is not precise. |
NOC1:You think its the best way but its actually the worst way. If say her fiance were to see this chat, what do you think will happen? This kinda shyte could hunt her for the rest of her life if thats not who she is. Again, since no one knows his destiny, by doing this, she is certain that whatever destiny holds for this guy and bae is gone into the wind. |
Piyke:I traded off my old battery for 3k discount on the new china battery. |
Bolustic:One should be scrapped between Jamb and Post UTME, i dont care which one. Why should a candidate pay and write exams four times to get one admission. Its duplication of fees and exams. In saner climes, WAEC or NECO is all you need to qualify for admission and the school interview the application of a candidate to choose who they admit. What we have is too much of exams from JAMB, WAEC, NECO and Post UTME. |
onos217:I do understand what you mean. I believe you are speaking from experience with inverter batteries which most times are connected to one another. Maintaining a 12v battery bank is not the same as a bank of 2v. A defective battery can be spotted from a mile in a 2v bank. The battery i gave up, a multimeter test showed 10.5v with engine off and 14.3 with engine running. How will i truely know that the charging system is normal if i dont use a voltimeter to check? Even after driving for an hour, the battery read just 10.9v. On just one cranking attempt, the volt went back to 10.5v. I took it to a battery mechanic to tested the specific gravity of the electrolyte, off course it was too low. He change the sulfuric acid, and i took it home, plugged to our home generator which gave it an equalizing charge at 15.7v for 2 hrs. 5 cranks in my car was perfect but the voltage dropped from 13.2v to 12.5v. I was satisfied that my battery is well now only for it to drop to 11.2 the following morning. By mid after noon it was back to 10.5v. The surprising fact is that even with the 10.5v it slowly cranks for up to 20s which the car manages to sprout on. I borrowed my friends battery which is a 45A but listening to music for an hr dropped the battery to 10.5v. That battery couldnt manage to start the car at 10.5v but mine does. I still changed the acid once again and the same experience repeated. My conclusion was that a considerable part of the electrode of one cell has broken off dropping the voltage across the 6cells. Of course no 2 cells are the same in health so across 6 cells, a weak one would compromise the whole under a load test. |

achieverme:It is you who needs to find out what she said. It is obvious that you have taken sides even before knowing what she said. Right from when the story broke, her comment was published too. No matter how inciting what she said is not equal to what he said. Besides this is what she said "the Senate should not be reduced to a kindergarten where Senators could just issue childish threats, and called on Senators to close ranks and seek reconciliation amongst its members." |
jeffcheddy:I will advice you to research and find out every detail about albinism before you even consider have a serious relationship with her. It doesnt sound like you know much. I will give you a few but fine out more. The gene for albinism is usually carried by both parents to have a higher risk of having a child with albinism. That means you have to find out your family history with regards to albinism. Ofcourse, she is carrying the gene so it falls on your own gene. Although there is a very strong albino gene that can give your offspring albinism even if you dont carry the gene, the possible is very low. Your children who are not albinos are not exposed to health risks of albinos. Only your wife is. |
ireneony:He is a virgin and deserves to marry one if he find one. I hope you wished him luck! Besides, my friend is getting married in November, his bro just confided in me that she has a child. I already heard stories but i pretended i was shocked to hear it. The girl doesnt look like she had a baby before but my friend wants to marry her and the girl was open about it. He has told his mum and everyone who is close to him. I am happy for them. When i found out, i was only scared that he didnt know but since he knows, thats fine. Am sure your friend would think otherwise when he is 40 and yet to meet a virgin. Thats if he doesnt marry a fake one. |
naijaking1:Or if you really understood english, you will know other synonyms of information include 'facts' 'news' 'knowledge' etc. In other words there are no 'facts' 'news' or 'knowledge' about the story, yet you want to point holes were there are no holes. If a case is in court, the best reply they would have given is, 'we decline comment'. I guess, whatever it is, you wont give up, even if she goes to the US. Even if she goes to the US attorney general's office and shake hands with her, people like you will still say something like, 'Buhari already made a deal for her' or 'she travelled on diplomatic passport'! |
When you and your friend arrived Abuja 1 yr ago and your friend now drives a 2016 Range Rover Sport and lives in Transcorp Hilton while you dey hustle from Karmajiji or Gishiri village. |
richgang:If you insult GAZZUZZ, am not sure any one in this section will be willing help you. Its not as if you have plans to repair the car, but the one person who may offer you free diagnosis, you told him off. |
Omotakins:My son who is 4 was like that during his pre-nursery class but later on changed. I was worried for a while but later realised he was still learning when he started reciting things from school. The teacher complained that the could not get him to be attentive in school. The school recently complained to us that he will stop his class work in the middle of it and start drawing images. The head mistress said she was going to make him draw to see if he has a talent that was trying to manifest. I guess children pass through several stages and need to beunder stood. We used to struggle with him to have him do his homework, right now he starts his home work himself. At a point i started wondering if he had ADD-Attention Deficit Disorder. I believe its a phase that they pass. |
Maybe the guy was trying to say ATBU Bauchi. Everyone knows the Faculty of Engineering in UJ is an infant with no graduates yet. |
IsiCaterpillar:This happens a lot. Before a catalyst is declared failed, series of test must be conducted. Using bad fuel could set up a catalyst code but may not mean the catalyst is bad. A bad spark plug could do same but if replaced, the catalyst resumes its normal functions. The usual problem is that the ECU takes some time before it declares catalyst below threshold. It also depends on driving style. I have noticed that driving at a steady low speed is good test for the catalyst. So, if you usually drive over 100km/hr you may not see the CEL return so soon. After ECU reset, the light has taken me weeks to come back and sometimes with in minutes. If your catalyst is actually bad, you will eventually see the light come up again. |
mmrius:Half knowledge they will say is better than none. While that is true sometimes, other times it is disastrous. For example, removing the battery head on a Peugeot while key is in the ignition will reset the ECU and also the immobilizer module. You will end up requiring an immobilizer transponder recoding before the car starts again. That is expensive as it is not a DIY procedure and you need to contact Peugeot and follow their processes. Its not just simple to say one can remove the battery head to reset the ECU, you need to mention the dangers of doing so, so that people will not attempt and incure greater expenses on themselves. What the op has posted is shallow without necessary warnings. |
pendusky:Its either you are biased minded or have not really made a research. I believe you have tagged MTN a stingy network because of cost and promos. When it comes to reliability and coverage, if you travel, you will know who tops the table. Am sure you are a Glo fan with all the promos and freebies but you never get to use all of it. Airtel is the same with their wacked calls and data. Etisalat to me is the most stingy network and right now with the most expenaive data subscription. My office used Glo and it was a big disappointment we went for Spectranet. Despite that, they have some downtimes that i use my MTN hotspot as a subtitute for the office of 5-7 pc's comfortably. Dont forget MTN still has the largest subscribers even if you think they are wacked. By that i mean that they have large subscribers but still able to deliver better services than most. |
dumo1:It was not rectified. That's because it was never a problem. That issue mostly happens in Nigeria so Honda is not aware of the problem. If fact, the 2003-7 accord is a smoother car to the 2008 accord. The only issue to rectify is to advice Honda users to buy only oem ball joints. Any chinko ball joint is bound to fail this way. My 2003 accord is 4 yrs so far and have not replaced that ball joint yet. When i need to, i will either buy toks or order oem. |
You should have access to a phone with camera. Why dont you snap the car and the location of the missing part if you dont know its name. From the name you called, i can only think of the items below; 1. Air/fuel ratio sensor (AFR) 2. Intake air temperature sensor (IAT) 3. Mass air flow sensor (MAF) 4. Manifold absolute pressure sensor (MAP) Am not sure for a Toyota but for a Honda, these things would not stop a car. However, fuel trim will be on open loop meaning more fuel consumption and possibly limp mode depending on the model year. For the coil packs, unless you have misfire codes, it shouldnt be mentioned. Thats something that hardly fails and difficult to diagnose. A lot of other faults could seem to an average mechanic like a bad coil pack. Spark plugs, worn piston rings, cracked head cylinder or engine block, head gasket leak, burnt valve, incorrect valve timing would all give similar signs like a bad coil pack. The list above and many others would cause vibrations so it is better to scan the car to eliminate faults. |
About 20yrs ago, my uncle, who's family lived like 4km from my family but works 400km from home. He comes for weekends at the time. Something official brought him home unexpectedly. His wife didnt sleep at home that night leaving 4 female children on their own for the night with no explanation where she went. She drove home 5am in the morning to see her husbands official car at home. She immediately drove away to my house. She arrived our house crying on her knees begging my parents to intervene. Even more unfortunate, she forgot her jewelry at the hotel. My bro was sent to pick it up and was given the room number. He told me he met the man still sleeping under covers, he asked for them and the man let him carry them back home. My father summoned my uncle and their issues were resolved and i dont know how. I know my uncle is so calm and cool headed. Fast forward 8yrs later, they moved to Abj, i lived with them for my 6mths IT. I was disgusted because this woman was all over my uncle's back with false accusations of sleeping with his secretary, colleages or any female around him. He worked with HR dept and traveled all over the country for weeks which she always complain. This woman was holier than most people i know and goes to a different church to her husband's. She started following him only when his office got him a brand new car which she will only enter on sundays. She couldnt stand me seating in front of the new car so she started coming with us to our church saying she has to start riding this car before young girls thinks he is not married! WOMEN EH! |
Arnod007:Tubular battery is redeemable but GEL or AGM are not. |
marksburg:That means you got the full package Kazeem things. Go back and tell him to undo what he did, apart from the brushes. Normally, the ECU (brain box) trips a relay which turns on the fans at a particular temperature. This means that the coolant temperature sensor tells the ECU how hot the coolant is, the ECU determines that the temperature is ok or getting out of limit. If getting out of limit, the ECU tells the relay to switch on fans for more cooling. And once the temp is in comfortable range, the fans go off. That cycling is not fixed with time. Dont forget that when driving at high speeds or in rain, gust of air is stronger and helps cooling so the fan is less needed. Thats one part of the many reasons that a car traveling at highway speed consumes less fuel than the one driving city speed. Your mechanic thinks engineers are dummies so he thinks he has done better but actually worst. Your electrical fan takes up current from the alternator to work, while your alternator takes power from the engine and the engine gets its power from fuel. That means you will use a little more fuel if your fans are directly connected by jumping the fan relay wires (what your mechanic did. This is apart from the open loop (more fuel consumption) you will get from removing the thermostat. Meanwhile, if your fans are to last 3 years, it will now fail prematurely say 1.5yrs from working twice as hard. It could over heat during a long trip, burn itself or its plastic casing and you start changing fans. |
marksburg:Just put back the thermostat and leave the double cell radiator in. The thermostat will help you in managing the fact that you have a more efficient radiator. Also make sure your fan is not wired directly running full time. To educating you, do you know why atlethes warm up before a race? Thats why the thermostat is there. Its basically a warm up tool. The fan and radiator and both over heating prevention tools. That means, in order to have a proper running engine, you need a temperature range that these tools help you keep. Removing any one means the limits are out of control. Removing thermostat means removing the lower limit to the optimum operating temperature of the engine that leads to excessive fuel consumption and excessive engine wear. Putting a double cell also contributes to eliminating the lower limit. A broken down cooling fan, failed water pump, burnt head gasket, blocked radiator, leaking coolant or any bad cooling system part is removing the upper limit of the optimum operating temperature of the engine, that leads to over heating or instant engine damage. If you had over heating, you ought to have found the failed part and replace with appropriate replacement part not to start editing the car. |
onepluone:You said "We will resist any attempt to over run the senate". By "WE" i guess you mean Nigerians. Unfortunately for you, Nigerians didnt vote the Senate president. "We" voted for President Mohammadu Buhari. So if you want to refer to Nigerians, i believe Nigerians want this 8th senate leadership to be overrun. If Nigerians didnt want the over running of this senate leadership, "We" would have been out in the streets and the social media protesting. Of course people like you are protesting, we know its hate not genuine love for Nigeria. I encourage you to drop the hate and pray or wish that justice is done in every part of Nigeria. If the attorney general is acting beyond his powers, the court will say so and Saraki and his cohorts like you will celebrate for thereis nothing wrong. Any boarding student that doesnt pray for holidays knows the turmoil that awaits him. If you and Saraki cannot just go to court and clear yourselves, you know you are guilty of something, otherwise, justice will be delivered. |
On behalf of all who made comments, i wish to apologise for our collective sense of humour. We believe that a constant reader of this section should have known better by now. If you never knew, common sense should have told you that the manufacturer of the car isnt crazy for not putting a double cell radiator from factory or delete the thermostat from factory if it were actually a bad thing to the car. If the mechanic didnt understand the use of those things, find a mechanic who does. If you dont, next the mechanic will tell you is you dont need tires to drive your car and if you complain of bad mileage, he may advice you to put things like camphor or salt in your fuel tank!!! 99% of Nigerian mechanics dont know how a thermostat operates and definitely dont know its fucntion. Technology is getting better and newer cars would not tolerate the abuse. If mechanics dont know and dont seek to know, motorist should know or atleast seek to know what happens under the hood. Be wise! |
Those who are saying OBJ or GEJ are wrong. It was actually Yar'adua in 2009. It was Yaradua who sought for the $500m loan from china and commited $360 from Nigeria's purse to build the rail line. Even so, OBJ, GEJ, Yaradua and PMB should are only doing what is expected of them with our money. Just like the power stations GEJ went round commissioning, it was GEJ and Yaradua who paid the bulk for the projects even as Obj recieved criticism for looting the money. |
Depending on your inverter/charger settings, low battery or discharged battery should be around 11.3v for a 12v battery while fully charged should be about 12.7v. During charging, your charger should deliver anything from 13.5-15.9v. If your inverter depletes your battery less than 11v, the life cycle of your battery will be affected as batteries do not like being depleted beyond some point. 10.5v will be a seriously discharged battery. |
Arnod007:Mercury tubular battery is a flooded (wet) cell battery and is not maintenance free. You shoud find a hydrometer to test the sulphuric acid in it as a first check. Secondly, get a multimeter and check its voltage after the battery charge is depleted. Then check voltage during charging and when fully charged. |
Tires age dangerously because of a chemical process commonly referred to as oxidation, which simply means that as the tire components are exposed to oxygen, the oxygen particles cause the flexible components of a tire to harden and become brittle. Over time, the tire will simply fall apart under normal stress, just like an old rubber band. Because this process occurs naturally, it does not matter if a tire is being used, stored as a spare, or simply waiting on a store shelf for an unsuspecting consumer.Blow a baloon and leave it in the sun or just indoors, its just a matter of time before it blows out. Have you imagine why new plastic chairs these days are dangerous to sit but after a year they are strong but a year later they are brittle. The only thing you should be talking about is how long does it actually take a tire to expire. I have seen 4, 5 and 6. I am no longer sure but i know how to check for one besides the manufacture date. I have noticed that an expire tire would stain a white cloth. It will show very tiny cracks and wear very fast. It will most likely have tiny bits of it chopped off. It will change shape and become wobbly especially it too much pressure is but in it. All these things i see do not happen under 4years even with the chinese substandard tires. I agree with you that it will be wrong for FRSC to make an arrest based on the believe that one's tire is expired. How can they proof that all tires expire in 4 years and when it is not written as an offence. |
olapluto:Infact there is more in between 2 and 3. 2a. Government (AMCON) paid union bank the loan that Murray-Bruce took. This is to avoid the bank collapsing from being unable to pay some people who have deposits in the bank. 2b. AMCON Has to get back their money from Bruce. |
