chris81964:I guess you are well learned or experience on these systems. I wish to ask question as i have limited knowledge. Assume having a standard inverter that has a charger with batteries installed. If i wish to add a solar charger to the system i know it requires a charge controller. I do understand that the charge controller as well as the inverter must be connected directly to the battery. Both the charge controller and the inverter monitor the battery voltage the charge as appropriate. My main question is that, is it safe for the battery that 2 chargers oblivious to one another are charging at the same time even though both know the actual level of charge the battery holds. This is because if the inverter charger is 20A and the charge controller is also 20A and both see that the battery needs charge. The inverter charging at 20A and solar at 20A for a 200AH, isnt that bad. How can this be rectified. |
obitee69:What do you mean by the bolded part. Is your car a V6 to have "cylinder heads"? If not, do you mean valve grinding? |
GAZZUZZ:Funny enough, the root of overheating in cars is usually one tiny problem like "a pin in a hay stack". Radiator cap, thermostat, water pump and head gasket are basically the causes of overheating while most times only one is responsible. Coolant leakage and broken fan other obvious ones and simple. Dirt/rust is uncalled for unless wrong coolant was used. At the end, i just wonder why mechanics end up killing any engine once it overheats the first time. I wonder why a car that has survived so long and just developed cooling problem, all of a sudden the single cell radiator installed in the factory becomes inadequate! |
abdulwastecx:Which would you recommend for commercial purposes. Have you tried ETABS? |
chris81964:Fan damage means a burnt coil. Modified sine wave would not directly burn the fans coil but can do it indirectly depending on other factors. The real effect of modified sine wave on fan is lack of efficiency or smooth running. It makes noise and in the process producing more heat than it would on pure sine wave. The heat may not be an immediate problem but when fan runs for a long time, risk of oveheating increases. Over heating is what will damage the fan but that will happen after prolong running on modified sine wave. That may take a long time, something like non stop run for 2days. |
GreenCashServic:The inverter is designed to charge on Grid or Gen but you will need additional equipment for using solar. I believe you require a solar charge controller. |
abatically:You mean just like comparing 2013 Honda City to 2007 Camry. I know what that is but his range is not that. He wants 06 Avalon or 10 accord. The choice is clear and he eventually made the right one. |
Due to the fall in construction jobs in Nigeria, i am free and considering embarking on a major DIY MDF or HDF job for my personal house to save myself cost of labour and get more experience. I intend to make kitchen cabinets, wardropes, bed/side drawers, drawers, buffet cupboard, entertainment console, interior door trims/casing. Instead of labour i wish to buy tools. Power tools like circular saw, drill, screw driver others are vice grip, G-clamp, chisel, planer, plumb level, tri-square or combination square, utility knife, I have watched youtube videos and do not find any thing hard. I am quite handy. The only part i imagine to be hard is framing, trim fitting and hanging interior doors. The doors i want to buy laminate wood doors and buy same laminate HDF to be used for frame and trim. Right now i am comparing which is cheaper to get a good contractor or DIY. I want to save myself the stress if i get a good bargain. A cousin of mine is an apperentice carpenter, i want to use him as assistant which i will give him all the tools to start off by himself. How possible is my plans? |
DGD1:He is comparing 05-07 Avalon to 09-11 Accord. Would you compare 05 Avalon to 11 Accord? |
jaz:I use the 1.2kva. It charges fine. It is cheap and serves its purpose. If affordable, there are higher ones which are pure sine wave. |
Autopin:There are nights. Unfortunately nights last for 122.5days equvalent to half a Venusian day. Daylight when the sun is visible is also 122.5 days making a total of 245days which is 1 Venusian day. Amazingly, an hour in vesus is like 10.2days which means the sun will remain visible from the planet at same position for that period. |
3 people i know with Benz C class 2002-06 have experienced this. All were shocked that the car they just turned off wouldnt even roll up or down the window. All 3 had to buy new key and reprogramme costing averagely N100k. Am pretty sure you have the same problem too. |
macfriet:I thought so earlier but the facts says its true. |
Exploit200:Very good combination of facts. It means the Sun rises from the west and sets on the east but it takes 122.5 days in between sun rise and sunset from any point on Venus. Just like a morning ti evening which is just 12hrs in earth but 122.5 days on Venus. Wow |
Yea i get the context. I had to confirm from wiki Orbital period 224.701 d 0.615198 yr 1.92 Venus solar day |
Jeez. I used to ply this road twice a week (Mon and Fri). Its a dual carriage way with 2 lanes each side but still under construction. Only one carriage is completed and so its shared just like a single carriage highway. The other reason that makes it extremely dangerous is that the median has been completed 90%. That means the is no shoulders on one side of the road. I was almost killed one early morning when i was driving and the median boxed me to my left and the on coming vehicle to my right probably lost himself in something else other than driving his car. He was coming unto me head on while i had no shoulder to run to. If i had lost my nerve, it would have taken me to the shoulder on the right side but the risk was enormous. Luckily, with all my lights flashing and horn blaring he swerved away like 2 seconds to collision. Speed on this road reaches 200km by those who have guts. I personally have done 160km/hr when i was late one day. The road is a dangerous one but free of traffic and potholes. |
autotrader2:I get your point. I know for a fact most ppl who bought shocks bought fake or substandard ones for replacement. But that is not what am trying to say. The fact that the 'follow come' gets bad quickly is my concern. Buy a Honda and a toyota on the same day use them alternatively on the same road Toyota shocks will give up first. Basically, i have noticed that more toyota's of same age or even newer than honda's change their shocks well before the honda. Another of my hidden point is that toyota shocks will bring good business. If you import honda shocks in the same quantity you imported toyota shocks, thats bad market. Abi you wanna try? |
autotrader2:Honda has stab linkage too, why dont honda users make same mistakes of changing shocks when they only have to change stab linkage. I have friends, family and office that use toyota. One common problem to all of them is shocks. My office cars are toyota, they had shocks changed especially supprising is the corrola that has never been driven outsite Abuja central area. I and my colleague bought cars same time. He changed shocks twice already and still has shocks problems. My uncle has 3 toyota, 2 camry and 4runner, he is tired of changing shocks and has decided to keep driving like that. I wasnt driving but a minute in the car i knew shocks were dead. I have seen car dealers change shocks on toyota before delivery to the owner. In my house we have always used honda, we changed rear shocks on two cars after atleast 7yrs of owning them. But when we welcomed Mazda, in less that a yr we had to change shocks. Mazda shocks look exactly like toyota. Now both my parents want to try toyota, my fear for them is shocks and how expensive it is to buy a good replacement that still wont last good years. I have seen several broken coil springs on toyota but have never seen on honda. |
Shocked to see how quickly those KYB toyota shocks was cleared. Now i really know Toyota does have shocks problem. Just surprised as newer models like 2007 model and newer are changing shocks. Honda shocks wouldnt give up so soon unless beaten and abused. Anyways, my honda spark plug is NGK IZFR6K-11, do you have that? |
lawyer:You sound very bitter. I just wonder how thoughts are process in your head. There were no APC placards or anything of sort that can be used as motive for this protest. Saraki himself claims unpaid workers did the process yet you still wrnt ahead to implicate APC when there is no motive to do so. Am just sorry for you. Am sure you will be willingly strapped with an IED to an APC meeting just to end the party. |
We really wnat to know how much the doors are. |
martinz1:True, ceiling fan makes more noise but my standing fan makes little noise. Its still manageable. |
A Senior Advocate of Nigeria, Chief Adegboyega Awomolo, said the Senate President, Senator Bukola Saraki, acted on wrong counsel when he shunned the Code of Conduct Tribunal to answer criminal charges levelled against him. He said it was immoral of Saraki to be employing different delay tactics to ridicule the court, scandalise the judge and frustrate the due process of law, rather than go before the CCT. He also wondered whether his colleagues would not frustrate the anti-corruption effort of the Federal Government, saying there was need for change of orientation among lawyers. Noting that the CCT, like an election petition tribunal, was a special court, Awomolo wondered why Saraki would be advised to head for a Federal High Court to challenge his pending case before the CCT. “I think the Senate President was wrongly advised to stay away from the tribunal. The tribunal acted within the law to have proceeded with the arraignment and order for his arrest. “Whether the charges filed were lawful or whether the senior state counsel who filed the charges was authorised or not are matters that should have been taken before the tribunal, not before the Federal High Court. “The Supreme Court has made it clear that any cause, matter or claim which does not arise from or relate to specified items under Section 251(1) of the Constitution, should not be filed at the Federal High Court no matter the parties. “We all know that the decision or interpretation of the vailidity of jurisdiction or competence of the charges filed before the CCT or the so-called locus standi of the state counsel is ulra vires the Federal High Court. “The Code of Conduct Bureau and Tribunal Act allows any officer of the Ministry of Justice to institute charges before the tribunal and no such authority can be challenged by any person,” Awomolo argued in a statement on Monday. He also faulted the appeal filed by Saraki’s counsel, Chief Joseph Daudu, against the order of Justice Umar Danladi, who ordered Saraki’s arrest. He added, “Now, an appeal was allegedly filed against the decision of the tribunal that the IGP should produce the Senate President. Where is the right to appeal under the Act? The only right to appeal is limited to final decision of the Code of Conduct Tribunal. The counsel for the Senate President knows the law. “Why scandalise the chairman for doing his job? Think for a moment If an election petition is filed at election tribunal, do you ask a Federal High Court to determine its validity or competence of the petitioner? “It is important that counsel should consider the status of his client before adopting a strategy. “For the number three citizen to employ mundane strategies that ridicules the administration of justice, scandalise the judge, appeal where there is no right of appeal and apply for a stay of proceedings to frustrate his trial rather than face the due process of the law, is sad, immoral and diminishing of the esteem of his office. It is insensitive and lacking in integrity, with respect.” www.punchng.com/news/saraki-san-warns-lawyers-against-scandalising-cct/ |
9icetoo:Oh i see. It will definitely not beat that. 55L is about what i would use to the trip. |
topsy23:Thanks so much on the socket color coding. I will definitely do that. My main concern is that the inverter is a small one and will not be used on fridge and freezer but I want them both on stabilizer. There are now 3 isolations. First is does on direct, second is those on stabilizer and thirdly those on inverter and on stabilizer. |
And the famous one is this house just by the bank of river Kaduna.
|
Darayola:I don't think its superior but equal level. Their jurisdiction don't just parallel. |
dearie:So wrong. The cct is a special purpose court for code of conduct cases. Rulling of the cct is appealed in the appeal court. In this case only 3 courts are valid, CCT, Appeal court and supreme court. High Court has no business with this case to have meddled into it. You should find a copy of the constitution and educate your self. |
baralatie:Under what law can the cct be stopped from performing constitutional duties. It is attorney general's office that filed the case o. Unless they withdraw it, this case will continue and Saraki will either hide or show. |
porka:You don't get it. The matter of asset declaration belongs to the code of conduct tribunal. Only when unsatisfied with their judgment should they go to appeal court. They 1 st went to high court and it was obvious the judge was out of line. They now proceed to appeal court, only a crazy appeal court judge will hear them without any judgment from the code of conduct tribunal. They will be sent back by appeal court. |
hinwazaka:So now, since there is a case in the appeal court, do you now agree that they were wrong to have gone to the HIgh court. Appeal court wont save them. Since the senate comprises of 108 members, if one is not there their sitting can never hold if i get what you mean right. |
dialfa:Nigeria gets 1 corrupt politician off our treasury. This tribunal cannot sentence Saraki but will remove him from office. If guilty, that means he stole state property, should he go free and remain senate president or get fired and face the law. |

. I presently buy diesel at 120 a litre. I filled my tank at N115 a litre at Iyana Itire in Lagos. It cost me N3934 to travel from PH to Lag. And will cost less to go back. I don't think the accord can beat that. My ex (camry 2.4L) does Ph to Lag with about 55 litres. At the present cost of fuel (N87), that's still more expensive at N4785.
