Politics › Re: 'i'm 100% Convinced Enyeama Will Return To Super Eagles' - NFF Chairman by adanny01(m): 2:50pm On Oct 11, 2015
otipoju:
Enyeama is to blame for all this. He brought it on himself.

To start with, you lost your mom at a time when there was an important qualifier for a team which you captain.

You did not deem it fit to contact your Coach Oliseh to inform him of the reason why you would not come for the match. Instead you kept him in yhe dark and he could not give journalists any cogent reason for your not coming. He honestly said he does not know. You now go on social media to announce that your mom has died and your family kept it for you so as not to distract you from a leauge match...why did they not wait till after the qualifier to tell you.

Since you did not call Oliseh to inform him of your loss even though you were captain, he wisely decided not to attend the burial. When he is not mogbo moya.

He still invited you for a friendly and you turn up a day late and you did not deem it wise for you to notify him ahead and clear the air with him...only to come and find out that he has appointed his captain and then you say you jave something to say.

That thing that you wanted to say should have never beeen needed if you have done the right thing ab initio.

Oliseh is a no nonsense person and could simply not condone your antics....for a man who had been ruled out of a match because of malaria to beg the coach to come on the field and delivered a killer long range pass that led into a goal from Julius Aghahowa in the semi final against senegal in 2000 nations cup, you were simply not passionate enough to lead his team abd you had lost your talking rights.

To now insist that you must have your say when your Coach says....I do not want to listen is insurbodination and he had to stamp his authority.

So I do not blame Oliseh but you Enyeama for disrespecting your coach by not carrying him along and making him look like a fool and he put you in your place.
2 wrongs will never ever make a right.

In my place, no one is ever invited for a funeral. All who are family, relatives, friends, colleagues and so on show up to commiserate with the family. You dont wait for an invite to come condole me for my loss even if i didnt tell you myself.

If Oliseh heard, he should have been there invited or surprise.

2ndly, it is rude and arrogant to decaptain one captain and appoint another without informing the former prior. If you must fire as a boss you must have caurage as a boss to do it face to face not behind the door.

When someone is late, you dont punish the person in absentia when you have not heard what caused it. You have to hear it first then decide if its justifiable to take a punitive action.

Oliseh is wrong on all grounds while Eyeama must not be left without blame or caution.

The main issues here are 2:

1. Enyeama came to camp late
2. Enyeama was decaptained thereafter.

Oliseh has no denied any of this. If thats the case and trying to put myself in both men shoes.

1. Captain is late and knows this is bad. Coach is angry and had already made his mind to replace captain. Captain came asking for a chance to probably appologise, give his reasons and take up to his reaponsibilty. But coach didnt want any of it. Captain flared up in the process was walked out of the room.

2. By the time captain was readmittted to the team he was suddenly decaptained without warning.

At this point who will not leave the team. If i were Enyeama i will do same 100times over. Oliseh has not denied anything. He still failed in managing his team member due to what he thought was being the boss.

my thought here is that

if the senators oppose a nominee they have to give reasons for their rejection of which the Senate will have to say I or nay.

since the state didn't contribute to their nomination, then many will be opposed. Ameachi will be opposed fulltime but I believe the Senate knows what's up in Rivers state and will know what to do.

its the SP call so let him answer it as he dime fit
With this rule, they simply wont need to give any reason. Its like putting up a mini vote where the electorate are 3 senators from the candidate's state and once 2 vote against him, the candidate should kiss his nomination bye.

Politics › My Opinion Of The Ministerial Screening Rules by adanny01(op): 9:37am On Oct 09, 2015
As events leading to the screening of ministerial nominees of PMB unfold, many intrigues have come to bare. The main one for me is the one as announced by Senator Dino Melaye on the 8th of October, 2015.

The rule that every ministerial nominee must be endorsed by at least two senators from his/her state will be enforced by the Nigerian senate as the upper chamber prepares to screen prospective cabinet members of PMB’s government.

I am only left to wonder why that is? Are constitutional rules not enough? How constitutional will it be at the end of the exercise when a candidate is disqualified over this rule but has passed every constitutional rule?

This means that those candidates who are not in the good books of Senators from their states will find it difficult no matter how qualified they are or no matter what policy direction the president has. It is completely wrong for personal "beef" of senators and ministerial candidates to show up in the state duty.

My concern is not just for candidates like Amaechi and Fashola who seem to be the direct targets of the rule but for the influence Senators greedily wish to derive from it. With the rule, it makes it compulsory for every ministerial candidate to lobby at least 2 Senators in his state.

Apart from the fact that we know what happens during lobbying processes with regards to bribes and concessions, Senators would have usurped so much power, influence and control over the ministers than it would have been convenient for the ministers to performing their lawful duties after passing the Senate. This rule transfers the influence over ministers which PMB removed from state governors but now forcibly taken by Senators.

If it was a welcomed development for PMB to remove that influence on governors then it is not a welcomed development that the senators take up that same influence.

The only other legitimate reason in my view senators may have for this rule is in relation to a situation where the ministerial candidate constituents reject his nomination. Unfortunately for the senators, the constitution has provided means by which the constituents can voice their grievance using petitions just like Senator Danjuma La'ah has done.

Without any justification for this rule, my opinion is that this 8th Senate needs to be tamed before it gets out of hand.

PROBLEM SOLVED!

I was reading about my oil pump and noticed that it also has a timing. Knowing too well that my mech is a kazeem, I went to ask him about it and he gave me the usual kazeem response, "it doesn't mean anything". But that stupid answer is not for me, so I insisted, and together, we opened it up. I showed him how to do the oil pump timing and we closed up.
I took d car for a ride, pushing the engine as hard as possible. I pushed it to almost 5000rpm, no codes, no jerking.
I'm so happy now.

My explanation: Knowing too well that vtec mechanism depends so much on oil pressure, I think the pumping of oil needs to be synchronised with the vtec actuator on d cylinder top. Failure to do this will result in the mechanism not getting good enough oil pressure at the appropriate time and it will throw a code.
The above explanation is based on common sense and my experience and therefore, may not b true. I'm not an engineer.

Lessons
-Never leave ur car with a kazeem. Be part of d repair.
-if u are gonna use a kazeem, be in charge.
-Know as much as possible about ur problem b4 going to fix it.
-Every single thing in a car is important. The manufacturers of ur car are not stupid.
-if u get d code P1259 and replacing the vtec components on d engine is not helping, inspect the oil pump.
-b4 replacing ur oil pump, check d timing first. Esp if d engine was worked on.

In d picture blow, the no. 1 piston will have to be at TDC
Oh nice to hear that the problem is gone.

This reminds me of my thread www.nairaland.com/2384754/advice-needed-repair-2008-honda

It ended same way too after my kazeem removed the engine 3 times for a wired sound. He had no idea the oil pump needs to be timed in which case caused a collision of parts making the sound.

There is a lot kazeems dont know especially on newer cars

Whoa... I changed the positive battery terminal connector and issue was solved.. I discovered it was very corroded ...thanks ever helpful Nairalanders ...

I hope others learn from me.
If that was the case, then your initial observation was incomplete.

This is because corroded battery terminals makes the kick starter click quite sure but you will see your lights on the instrument cluster flicker off and on again. Sometimes resetting your clock and radio settings. If you had noticed this and reported your solution would have given long ago.

Anyways, be more observant next time and report correctly.

U've never mentioned the actuator as one of the possible cause of my problem. I take dt to mean d problem can't be from d actuator, right?
Since I didn't swap engines and also, d system works well with no load, I will keep the jumping as last resort.

Wish I can buy u a beer when I solve this problem.
I have read the same experience like yours. I think the ecu is responsible for setting that limit at 4k rpm to prevent damage from the failure of the VTEC system.

I will check for the oil pump issue.

If the actuator has a problem, it should have a different code other than P1259. There is a camshaft position sensor by which the ecu checks the actuator.

Beer would have been welcomed.

I appreciate ur help.
I actually followed the steps on d service manual to confirm that the solenoid, pressure switch and the wiring are ok. But I couldn't check the oil pressure and vtec rocker arms.
There was no mention of vtec actuator on d manual.
Ok. The actuator is the head or pulley of the intake camshaft. Its the part that actually does the work that the system is named as VTEC. The solenoid is the means with which the ecu controls the actuator while the pressure switch makes sure oil is supplied in correct pressure to the vtec system.

If by your test you have confirmed both solenoid and pressure switch, then the only thing left is to confirm that you dont have a weak oil pump.

I hope you have tried the first option which is making sure the connectors of both solenoid and pressure are making contact.

The last resort like i said before is the bypass. The bypass is actually meant for those who swapped engines or ecu to one with no VTEC pressure switch which will cause the ecu to look for input from the switch and solenoid.

It involves accessing the ECU and installing a jumper to the inputs A4 (VTEC solenoid) and D6 (VTEC pressure switch) of the two sensors. Alternatively, it can be done in the engine bay by connecting the 1 wire from the pressure switch to 1 wire of the solenoid. These wires should be the wires that run to the ecu. Note that, of the 2 wires that connect to both sensors, 1 of each is ground and does not run to the ecu. So you have to find out which are the ground wires and connect the others together. Its same effect as jumping at the ecu.

However, you will do this at your own risk as i cant take responsibility for this since i have not tried it myself. My warning is because i dont know what that could do to the ecu but responses say it will be fine or nothing will happen if it doesnt work.

U mentioned weak oil pump, could it just go bad without anyone touching it? Assuming it can, any way I can check if it's the culprit? Cost i don't want to keep throwing money on parts.
Thats the solenoid.

You need to test it and confirm it is working. I believe its connector should have 2 pins, connect both directly to the battery. Research and find out the polarity of its pins before connecting the + and - battery terminals to the connector pin points usually numbered inside.

If found working then we can eliminate the solenoid from fault and proceed to checking vtec pressure switch.

Anyways, i am just researching on your case and saw same complaints with same symptoms like yours (engine wont accelerate beyond 4k rpm). I have seen suggestions which those who tried said it works. It involves jumping some wires but i wont advise you at this point till all efforts to solve it fails the you can try that as last resort. Thats why i wont tell you details about it yet.

Your kick starter is bad but mechanics are too selfish. The part of the kickstarter that is commonly responsible for its failure is the BRUSHES. See pix below.

It will take less than 20mins to repair that kick starter. Without these brushes, the kickstarter will never rotate. If it is worn it starts misbehaving sometimes working and sometimes not. It actually makes contact with the armature commutator but if it is worn out, too short or dusty it wont make contact and no starting.

The unfortunate thing is that most mechanics will not repair it, they choose to make you buy another one which when you do, the failed one will be useless to you and then you may leave it behind. Thats when the really profit by changing the brushes and selling to another customer as toks and taking his own while they make so much money in the round process. They do the same thing with power steering pumps, cooling fans, central lock etc

You cant get brand new 2003-12 models when production of such cars has already been stopped and replaced in most cases. For example 2012 Ford Escape, the only ford escape sold brand new now is a 2015 model. Infact, 2016 model is about to replace the 2015 model.

Funny enough, brand new price of a 2010 model could be the same as or same range to 2015 model of same car. What really changes the prices of new cars is inflation. Changes in price due to cost of upgrade is not as significant as that of inflation.

A friend of mine went to buy a toyota hilux in 2005 at Elizade motors, a staff called him aside and told him to suspend the purchase for a week but he insisted. By the next week, the seventh generation of Hilux was now available at the same elizade motors but he had bought the sixth generation for almost the same price and cant return it!

After d job, d car drives well, good power, no abnormal sounds or vibrations, Ac doesn't drag d engine down, but for one problem.
When I start the engine and still stationary, it raises well to 5000rpm. But when in motion, if it gets to 4000rpm, it throws a code and d engine starts convulsing and can't get past 4000rpm. It will not get past 4000rpm even if I stop d car untill I turn off d engine n back on and it will raise well to 5000rpm again.
Scanned and P1259 pops up. I've gauged my oil, changed d oil n filter, changed the vtec assembly on d engine body twice, checked all wiring with a multimeter, but same problem persists.
I've wiped d code severally, but it keeps coming back.

Please what else should I try?
I need help.
The VTEC assembly? Do you mean the actuator or the solenoid.

The VTEC has 2 main parts, one is the actuator which is the head of the intake camshaft where the timing belt/chain is on and the solenoid which is located above the oil filter.

I dont know which of them you changed but am guessing the solenoid.

If thats what you changed, you have to make sure it works. Like most solenoids, it has a piston the moves and you could hear it click. Connecting it to a battery will make a working solenoid click. A service manual has specifications on it.

Another thing is that the solenoid depends on oil pressure to work. So if oil pressure is low i believe it will malfuction. Since your filter is changed, i want to believe that is eliminated. The 2 things i can think of is a weak oil pump or blocked oil line/screen filter to the solenoid.

Thank you for the compliment.

I will answer your question while adding some extra.

1. The AC charger stops charging once the batteries reach a predetermined voltage and it has gone through a programmed routine. Your 20A will take 10 hours to charge your 200 AH battery.
2, The charge controller follows the same routine as the AC charger. It stops charging when the battery is fully charged.
3. Combined they (AC charger and controller) can produce up to 40 amps, charging your 200 AH in 5 hours.

Look at the picture below. The AC charger had fully charged the batteries, the controller was only along for the ride
Welcome.

1 more question. Isnt 40A too much for a 200AH or to put in another way , is there a limit of charging current for a particular battery capacity? Example, would a 100A charger be too much for a 100AH battery.
