Great, in your own case, the module was there, the car was already equipped with keyless entry but you weren't given the fob when you bought the car.

I suspect same case in this case. Op should try this first before getting an after market system. Try AliExpress for the fob then program. Op doesn't need a scanner or device to program, its a procedure and its all available online. It should be less than 2k to get the fob.

The only problem you will have is idle rpm control and inefficient cooling at idle.

The car is designed with no such load at idle, but adding AC load will drop idle lower than specified. The AC will not chill at idle and will cause excessive engine vibration.

The only solution is very high idle rpm which you will have to live with.

2001 Camry comes with keyless but i think its an option. Your car may have the module or not. Make a research, if it has, it can be easy to get the factory keyless back to work.

Do a YouTube search of the keyless entry module location.

Check the location in you car and if you find it, them you have it but it its not there, then you dont have it. Also trims like LE XLE and above should have it.

If its there, the key fob will be cheap on AliExpress.

It depends on the type of car and how recent the car is.

On a recent car, there will be interferences.

It is a perfect balance between the full power of a V6 and the economy of an I4.

Its a 1.8liter Turbocharged I4 producing 201HP. It has a 22mpg city and an impressive 31mpg highway. The C300 V6 produces 228HP but with a 17city/24hwy mpg.

I love the exterior design and the interior is premium. I particularly dont like the pre-facelift (2008-10) because of the absence of this engine and the dash board design. I have never been a fan of pop up screen so prefer the fixed screen in the 2012.

I have not used it and have no user experience to give you but since its a facelift, i believe all the problems with the pre-facelift would have been sorted.
