So how do you explain the colossal failure? It is either the students are dumb or the lecturers are not qualified, and with the much I know about the school , they recruit qualified lecturers so that leaves me with no option than to conclude that the admitted students in that department are dumb.
What if the lecturers are just wicked? You've never seen a wicked lecturer before? Sadistic lecturers that pride themselves in failing students.

I had one in ABU. He was so wicked and had favorite students who even had keys to his office. My classmates paid a student to get the questions, he got them a day to the exams, you will not believe if I tell you my mates spent the whole night with text books, consulted all the gurus but 2 out of 4 questions were not solved till exam started. Basically, they slept with his questions under their pillows but no one could solve 2 of the questions. That is how a lecturer can be wicked.

I and 2 classmates of mine who out of personal principles refused to look at the expo failed the course 2 consecutive times until the man was fired from ABU.

As an ABU graduate, we are used to seeing these kind of results....

ABU students will fail in ABU, take them to South Africa or canada and they will be the best there.

ABU has a system that really needs to change.
You been there, I have been there, anyone who has been to ABU will relate to this result. Its not strange but its a terrible thing happening in ABU.

The students are not dumb, neither are the Professors. They will graduate with third class which will be as good as any 2-2 and even some 2-1 but ABU makes you handicapped for life. Its the system and they are too proud to reduce the bar that was set too high.

106 graduating students still struggling with 100Level maths. Haba, you now. Think nah
You ask someone to think but have not had a thought yourself.

If I ask you to tell me how many students took math 102 from what was posted there you will say 106. That is so wrong.

It can be 1, 2 or 3 or the entire class. The actual results was not posted so why did you assume 106 graduating students did math 106?

If 1 student did it, it will still show up in the summary. That page is a summary of all courses contained in the result. It is just a summary page, think, think, think!!!

That summary page has 27 courses, isn't it an impossibility for all the 164 students to do all the 27 courses at the same time?

Don't be quick to make assumptions, assumptions is the mother of all fvck ups.

To be sincere, an average core northerner is naturally slow. They rarely learn anything...not even how to pronounce words correctly.

An illiterate from southern Nigeria is by far more intelligent than an illiterate from the core north. I can never ask them an address if I am looking for one in Lagos, most especially their bike men.

Anyone who expects an average northerner to do well in Computer Science has himself to blame.

It's likely they gave most of them marks for them to even graduate with a third class.

This is no hate; it's a fact
What you are saying is derogatory and gives you away as someone who probably has never left Lagos. That makes you a village champion.

Normal. Would have be suprised if the news is vice versa. Since it's not bh related activities, how you expect malos to excel in it. The only reason why they rule and enslave is because myopic men here love and prioritize Money, Religion and Material things over than our fellow Southerners.

Capital YES. Expecially all southern states' men who value their own belly and lust than protecting those that should look up to them. What is the motivation of an average southern man?! To buy lastest car, fashion and stiffle fellow southern men with envy. That is it, we focus on trying to achiev to that we can flaunt the achievent to kill our haters(fellow southern men) with envy! And get all the girls! Very childiah mentality. They undetstand this our foolishness, that's why your brother that is regularly given crumps would look the other way when... hmmm... They refused prevent when they could, still blinded by this self-desrructive ego, they refuse to unite and fight courageously to stop the killing of their sons and raping of their wives and daughters. Shame, shame, shame!

Truth is always very bitter. The next generation shall never forgive this current southern generation of "chop and lose sense, my belle and lust is more importat than my brothers lives". I love subtle intelligence of women so much and how they codedly pass accross their message why the southern men still gyrating and deceiving themselves to be men. Have you notice how most southern girl and women are now always dressed in black? They now see their mem as walking dead that refuse to rise to life and responsibility of defence when most needed. The cloths maybe stylish designs etc, but black have suddenly become so popular among our females. They have already seen that the men that God created to protect them have become useless weaklings and slaves to intruders that could have been conqured since, who have betrayed their females' trust. Being a man no be only to fvck and produce children like pigs. Real Men are Men! And we know ourselves: very few in the south, so we couldn't do much, we were also betrayed severally by the weaklings whenever we planned to.... True life story. Southern women now look up to God, southern men have fail them woefully.
See this village man.

You've never been to Zaria or ABU to say the school is malo.

You think ABU is UNN where 95% of the students are Igbos.

computer science has NOTHING TO OFFER in most federal universities.... IMAGINE AT 400Level, you are doing ALGEBRA when your mate here in ghana is developing softwares already... and you both wrote the same WAEC o

Nigeria should be ashamed. Las Las school na scam. Any computer science student that has not yet figured it out should go and write jamb again to study ZOOLOGY because we are in a ZOO.

By entering university in Nigeria, a youth is already outdated and has already failed. Books are written by people older than our fathers and the materials are not even practical or current at all.

it is DIGITALLY SAD
You dont sound like you went to a university.

Math 102 is a 100level course
202 will be a 200level course and so forth.

It won't be an impossibility for a 400levelstudent doing a 100level course. Such situations can be a carry over of a prerequisite or cognate or an open elective. The summary there lists the courses all the students have carried at that graduating semester. The result will only state the course code so the need for the summary. It is obvious the students did carry overs they left behind since 100level.

Besides, this is a computer science Education department result

Hello all the gurus and members of this car talk forum. I need your solution to this problem.

Its a Nissan Primera 2.0 auto. Recently it had overheating problem and I had the gasket changed by my mechanic.

Now as I drive it is bringing hot water out from radiator openings and water reservoir in the hood. After a long distance travel yesterday, almost all the water was gushed out of the radiator.

Please note that I have the thermostat in the car since tokunbo over 6 years now. And the mechanic is pointing acusing fingers at it as the genesis of the problems and that I should get it out of the engine. Was he right? Or why is the car overheating like this?

Kindly enlighten me on what to be done. Thanks.
If the thermostat is stuck close, yes it would do that.

US holds the most patents of the technology in cars. Germans are second to the US. Where is the German feat you talk about?

When you talk about sentiments, count and hate yourself first.
Car Talk › Re: Japanese Engine Versus German Engine, Which Last Longer? by adanny01(m):
My 2cents.

I honestly don't see German car owners swapping engine like Japanese car owners in Nigeria. My assumption is that the German engine should be more durable. But wait, how many German cars take to the abuse in Nigeria. Just yesterday, a Benz owner was embarrassed at a hang out spot, his kazeemed cooling fan was so loud and raise an unbelievable amount of dust from under the engine bay and exhaust pipe. The dust was similar to the downwash that crashed the VP's helicopter in Kogi last year. Am abused Japanese will go miles but an Abused German car will leave anyone stranded and disappointed.

However, most German engines I have seen with same spec with a Japanese engine, the later will have more power and efficiency. I think this power and efficiency comes at the price of durability.

About JD using 2016 models for 2019 ranking, its still accurate because most cars have 3 years warranty. When I was speaking of ranking, I meant car reliability rankings in general not particularly JD. Most of them I know use 2020 cars like Consumer Reports which appears to be the most-widely recognized source in products ranking.

Lol. African man strikes again. You wish but it doesn't work that way.

First off, many companies have finished selling most of their 2020 cars in 2019, many are selling 2021 models right now. By 2021 many people must have finished driven their 2021 model cars for a complete year and by then they will be able to vote in different studies whether the car was smooth or problematic.

One year is enough to know a car that is problematic. For example I know you aren't aware that Benzedes recalled nearly 1m C300 because they literally set themselves on fire when parked. Brand new cars, some burnt themselves on the same day they were bought.

cheesy
How many 2021 models have you seen on the street?

So if I want to buy a 2020 model of any car, i wont get it because it was sold last year?

So you are telling me, JD did the research with 2020 models sold in 2019, then after 1 yr (2020), drivers were able to rate the dependability of their cars and then JD went back to February, 2019 to publish the article huh huh huh grin grin grin

What about the 2020 cars produced in December 2019, when will the drivers rate the dependability so that JD can add it to their 2019 research?

Are you sure you read the research yourself?

Family › Re: Things I Saw In A Coded Bar/motel, Bothering Me About Marriage! by adanny01(m): 10:43pm On Feb 16, 2020
OcVoice:
An older friend, who could pass as a dad to me owns a bar and few a letout rooms for short sex or even a day booking.

He recently travelled to see his children abroad and asked me to come assist his wife once a while after work/hustle.

The first scenario:
I was there yesterday and I noticed a man in his 60's and a woman in her 50's, drinking and eating together. Their language was of the Eastern and I understood correctly.

After having some bottles, the woman talked about her husband who was on a business trip and her grown up children at the university and all. She locked her shop to come be with the man.

The man also talked about his wife in the village for a function and grown up children bla bla bla!

The shock:

The man was obviously trying to ask her out.....then she immediately told him that she wouldn't be interested in that. The man now asked what she wants and she said they should be fvck buddies. She said: "Any time my husband is away, I'll call u. "We would come here, drink and fvck well"
The man accepted and they booked an hour and went into a room!
Even though they are older and had grown up children, I still don't like adultery!

2nd scenario:

I noticed this last week.

I saw 2 beautiful kids, a boy (about 4 years) and a girl (about 2 years) playing inside the bar. I asked my friend's wife and she said one of her customer had issues with his wife and the wife left him with the kids.

From her story, the guy use to work and provide for his family, till he lost his job and the wife couldn't cope with the hardship. She abandoned her kids and went away with a rich alhaji. This guy has been taking care of the kids....bathing and feeding them, taking them to school and bringing them back, cleaning poos, etc. His rent expired and the landlord sent him packing forcefully, after some months. The reason he stays in the bar in the mean time.

Around 8pm that day, while he was out hustling, I saw the girl sleeping in an uncomfortable manner; hitting her head on the table while she dozed off, and I just thought to myself while carrying her on my arms so she could sleep well; she's innocent. She didn't bring herself to this world. She should be on bed sleeping now. She obviously hadn't had dinner.

Why would a woman abandon her own kids? Even if u don't want the man, can't u take your kids to your parents or even siblings and look after them? Where is the love? Is marriage not in good times and in bad times anymore? I had to shed tears while pondering! I was told the man had no one in the city.

I waited till he came back and I spoke with him. He told me the same. I felt so sorry for him. He was looking so tired and stressed. I can't do more than supporting him financially with the little I can.

This has really been disturbing me. Pls ladies, if you know you're not ready to suffer with your man when things gets tough for him, don't bother going into marriage! Don't even bother. A rich man today could be poor tomorrow. Life happens....it might not be his making! Life is not always Rosy!

Our mothers suffered with our fathers when the going was tough, why can't we emulate it?
Noted

I have this neighbor who was retrenched from the privatization of PHCN. He got alot of money, I heard about N20m. He had already built a house and was comfortable.

Now to the wife. He took her in when she was pregnant for him and in secondary school. She went further to nursing school under his care. She had 4 children including an slowpoke. I heard she spent twice the normal period for her nursing program due to her wayward ways.

News around had it that both husband and wife are serial flirts. His retirement fund set him good but business wasn't well thought and things quickly went down.

The woman got an opportunity for a nursing exchange work program or sort in Saudi Arabia. The man sold his car, landed properties to finance her trip of 2years.

To cut it short, she has bought her own house, gave birth for someone in Saudi and has just returned after 3 years. Her children are already grown, drop outs and smoking weed with thugs. The husband is completely bankrupt. The only car the man has is a mismanaged Peugeot 806 he gave out which he uses to make food available.

It pains me that a woman will leave her 4 children to pursue a good life for herself. Those children are irredeemable from the lack of parenting. The woman does not care and has not stepped into her husbands house and has filed for divorce.

Nah, if you look well you will see Lexus (Toyota product) on the number one spot. Toyota scored the same points with Porsche so they are both second place (only that Porsche is written first due to alphabetical order).

The ranking makes use of drivers' information from 2020 cars. The Porsches you see in mechanic are not 2020 models so what this ranking definitely means is that Porsche (unlike some other shitbox companies) have improved on their vehicle quality over the years to be on par with Toyota.
Come o!

If drivers information for 2020 is used for the dependability test, I bet you that data derived from such a test will be wrong. Even an Innoson vehicle should be very dependable if it just rolled out of the factory.

So it is either what you are saying is wrong or the research is wrong. I choose to believe you are wrong.

The year on your post says 2019. Does that mean the test was done before all the said brands even released their 2020 model year cars?

Your friend is to blame for any damage to that engine or vehicle. I've seen similar engine easily go over 500k miles. So that's not a manufacturing error but owners carelessness.
I never said its a manufacturing error. I did mention the car is a work horse.

At the site we used a Tacoma and a 2004 Nissan Frontier. The frontier constantly broke down. The Tacoma did most of the work. We did the kind of offroading you have never experienced. The Nissan will get stuck. The Axle will fail, the 4x4 will not engage etc

I meant once it over heats, the damage needs special rebuilding or outright replacement.

The Tacoma has more tendacy to rollover. If one is not careful, thats what am saying. This same person, rolled over his Tacoma 3 times but never on his Hilander, Frontier or the Rav 4 he is driving now.

The car came clean toks with no accident. Very good engine and good AC.

The engine over heated and it went south from there. Even a toks engine didn't last. The AC too went south from that first overheat.

But when in Park or Neutral, the cabin is sound and calm as factory setting. No CEL or codes. It's embarrassing. Several mechanics told me it's engine seatings before now. Check your exhaust pipe rubber hangers and vacuum line to engine mount.

2ndly, ask your mechanic to loosen (but not remove) the 3 main engine mount top bolt (front, back, right). Start the engine, press and hold brake, put the gear into reverse, put gear into drive, alternate between R and D 2 more times then back to park. During this procedure, if the vibration goes away completely, you probably have a bad or wrong mount.

Tight the bolts back to right torque.

Also ask the mechanic to check your subframe bolts if they have been torqued correctly.

Its also possible that you have a refurbished or wrong mount, I have seen such. If everything doesn't work at the end, buy new ones and try.

Youngzubi:
Does Every Guy Experience This?

Good Day My Fellow Nairalanders..

I just felt like sharing my first experience trying to woo a girl, it was like hell tho... so funny

Each time I remember this event it always make me to wonder if it was normal or maybe I wasn't bold. Some times ago I was on my way to visit a friend when I came in contact with this edo girl, she was so pretty that I kept on staring at her forgetting that i'm supposed to cross to the other side of the road cos where I stood was a very busy Junction.

I dismissed the idea of visiting my guy and followed her closely. I wanted to know her street, that was mission accomplished as I was able to get exactly where her house was and asked some dudes for few information about her.

Her name was favour, from then I started preparing to woo her after which I showed her to my friends secretly, trust niggars they started pushing me to confront her but the problem was how best to approach her and do the wooing tricks.

Two weeks later of cramming some lines and tricks, I wore better clothes with my neighbor's perfume. Minutes later I was standing at their street and it wasn't too long when she came out I guessed to buy something, I swear the more she approached was the more my heart beat increased, sweating profusely even it got to some extent that my legs wasn't steady anymore, so I pretended I didn't see her as she passed.

Oh my God, my urine was hot as I rushed to the gutter to ease myself I don't even know if removed smoke sef.. that one passed, months passed still I was not able to approach her.

One day I made up my mind to approach her. It was more like do or die, I wore my clothes dressed casually this time and memorized things again both how to greet her and all that, God made it easy as I saw her before I got to her street, she was walking and gisting with a female friend. I began to feel cold inside as I approached but I kept walking towards the due.. her friend stopped a bike and bade her good by so she turned and started walking to her street.

I quickly walked up to her and said Hi! She turned and stared directly into my eye.. Jesus I froze instantly, my people I said hi to this girl like four good times, every down thing I memorized had now flashed off, my head was empty in fact I regretted ever confronting her she stood for a while trying to figure out who I was cos the expression on her face showed it all, emm please can we be friends? That was what I heard myself say, immediately she heard that she hissed loudly and crossed to the other side of the road and walked away.. I swear I couldn't sleep that night..

Abeg my people is it that I don't have liver or its a normal thing in guys, but i see guys do wooing anyhow as if it was their calling... let's discuss about it..

Modified..
I didn't read since yesterday I saw this post but would have regretted if I never did. Very hilarious I must say.

We've been through it, some worst than others.

Next time, keep it very very simple. When my liver used to fail me, all I did was reduce the talking and stopped trying to be who am not. I employed mind games thereafter.

The first time a girl sees you, all you need is to acknowledge each other. Like, "Hi, I couldn't ignore a beautiful girl like you".

There are several reactions to that remark, but even if she hiss, abuse you, smile, or whatever she does, you made a point that you are an admirer.

If her reaction was bad, put yourself in her sight more often, smiling too much and saying hi. Everytime you do that, her brain tells her, this guy likes me. Do that until she is ready. She can be ready to talk immediately, next day, a week or months later.

I realized when dating that only a few girls like to be wooed with sweet words. Not every guy has the sense of humour and confidence to use words. Find what works for you and use it.

That deputy governor must have been foolish to have used about half a dozen names. The main foolishness is to think you can correct a certificate with an affidavit. He messed himself up badly and I agree with that part of the judgement.

However, the court should have used an injunction to stop the deputy from being on the ticket. This is led to the misplacement of justice. Misplacement of justice such that the entire purpose of an election or democracy and fairness was defeated with the judgment.

Meanwhile, the joint ticket that became the medium of disqualifying the Governor was denied to James Faleke during the Kogi lacuna. That means, the supreme court has set 2 different precedence on the same issue.

WelcomeToBiafra:
Keep lying to yourself with well documented lies from the pit of Nigeria terrorist defend quarters.

Any time Nigeria massacred innocent people of the land, Nigeria terrorist state will invent lies against unarmed innocent people to make them look bad, after taking all their belongs and resources.

Just as today, Nigeria is stealing BIAFRANS oil and other resources, anytime the Indigenous People Of BIAFRA cry against the zoo called Nigeria, terrorist security chiefs will give order to from their terrorist defend quarters to destroy, steal and kill unarmed innocent people of BIAFRA.
The only thing worth replying to is the bolded.

South South has its own identity now. One by one, SS is joining forces with the North. The North appreciates them and am 100% sure that the next time a president is to be considered from the SE, it will go to the SS.

They are no longer Biafra because they are wiser. SE is Biafra and Biafra ends with the SE. Why would Biafra boast of what it isn't theirs in the first place.

What is wrong with this site? Are the mods getting lazy? 10 topics hit front page a day. What a boring website.
Seriously, Nairaland is so so boring.

I think, they have been strict on the front page for fear of a lawsuit but have chosen to forget important things.

I used to learn from Nairaland but not these days.

The National Assembly needs to wake up to their responsibility.

They have the biggest responsibility from my perspective.

The executive has put the country in a mess, the Judiciary is plunging us into a deeper mess while the NA does not give a fvck.

These preelection matters should never arise post election while post election matters should never cross swearing in.
What we have now is preelection matters crossing into swearing in. Haba!

This Bayelsa matter as right as it is is still a huge misplacement of justice.

Why is someone who is not qualified for office be allowed to stand for election in the first place then used to circumvent democracy.

It is bad that someone who was clearly not voted ends up in office, it will be worst if someone who never ran the race ends up in office.

There are some judgements the Judiciary should not even consider.
