excanny:You suffered because you were looking for a neat car not a well serviced car. |
Oga Gazzuzz, I am here again. I will need 4 205/60R16 tires by next week. I don't know if waybill will work under the circumstances but I am hopeful. |
Caringfather:The last time I wanted to do that to my househelp, I gave the money to my sister and asked the girl to tell my sister what she wanted. I knew if I buy it, hmmm. Once a girl has breast and isn't your own blood, wives don't feel comfortable at such gestures. My neighbor who defended his own niece from his wife who label her a spy and occultist got his own share during a disagreement. The wife told him he was sleeping with his own niece. These things happens but wives should chill. |
Serious buyer interested at 600k pending inspection. |
luluosas:When i have a steady large enough income or have 100% more than the cost of the building in savings, then I will build. I know a man who refused to pay his children fees, lived in a slum, had not electricity when neighbors had. They were practically in the 60's when actually they are in the 21st century. He made a choice because he was building a befitting retirement home. He finished building his house (beautiful i must confess), but his children are either drop outs or are socially backward. They are limited to getting pregnant and giving birth at home. |
luluosas:If every man who has sperm must continue to give birth, we will be in trouble. At his current status, he doesn't need to build. That money is not much. He can take 7million and build a house and become broke thereafter or take 1 million and pay rent for 3 years and do business with 10million. With a good investment, he should have at least 20million in the 3 years. Only then will he withdraw 7 million for a house and still have 13million. Its easy to make a million but its not easy to stay a millionaire. A millionaire who has 11million with no responsibility will not build a house if he wants to stay a millionaire. |
luluosas:Do you know how much it cost to build a house. A moderate 3 bedroom in an average city will cost you at least 10m. If you had a business in the same amount, I assure you that it will earn you far more than your annual rent. If you built the house with 10m, even if you are paid rent on it annually, a good business would have generated twice the amount. Rent is not a waste, only stingy people think it is. Those who have good business dont think of building houses. Unless the building itself is a business as in real estate. |
covid2019:My own. If you die today, na bankers go chop your money. There are 2 things you must not do; 1. You must not waste or lose this money you already have 2. You must not miss the important thing about life, which is living a good and comfortable life (You have earned it) How will you achieve that; 1. Keep on with the legitimate business that gave you that money. If at 29 you amassed 11m, at 39 you should have 10times what you have. If what you did for the money was illegal, hmmm, that is difficult because most illegal money ends up bad. But try a legitimate business and hope for the best. 2. I think having such money and living with someone who may not have such money is unfair. Get your place. You don't have to build. Don't ever look at rent as a waste. 3. Pls upgrade your car. Don't go expensive but get what is portable, functional, trendy and reliable. 4. Don't put money on any single thing (business or otherwise that is up to 25% of you net Worth and don't make a budget that is up to 50% of you net worth. You must always have something to fall back to. 5. Take time to analyze any spending and never rush in buying anything. In summary, I am saying you must enjoy your money at the same time do not eat all of it. There are alot of Igbos in my area who have suddenly realized that building a duplex in the village is just being foolish when they live in slums in the city. Get yourself even a room and palour, put AC and nice things. Continue your hustle. When you eventually marry and have kids remember you only owe them food, shelter, education and training till they graduate. You are not responsible for their inheritance so don't bother. If you bother about leaving inheritance, you will never enjoy your life and you would have missed very important things about life. Money is not everything but money makes life good. There no essence of making money if you cant spend it on yourself. |
Praxtech:Not as much but I do. I take the train sometimes. Its just pure luck and timing that has kept me alive. I take big risk. The funny thing is that the road is even safer at night. The kidnappers and robbers operate early in the morning to late evening but less in the night since traffic is low. They also operate with spotters. So the journey should be inconsistent alternating high speed, low speed and unplanned stops. |
I met her in my 100L days... But she said she got a boyfriend in Lag. But she made it known to me how really bad her boyfriend is treating her.The answer to your question is nothing. The real question is why is she telling you the stories. The answer is, she is confused. If you are fucking, keep fucking her brains out till she wants nothing from you since the other guy can afford.to pick her bills and Bleep her at the same time. |
Eulalia:During your mothers time, men used to have 2 wives. Christianity has made changes so things have changed. |
SeverusSnape:SMH Do you know the number of reports and recommendations that sit in the presidents office? Just because GEJ set the committee and Buhari got the report, did you expect Buhari to throw it to the dust bin or review it. Buhari did the right thing by review the recommendations and the accepted the recommendations but you call him a mumu. Did you expect Buhari to set another committee to do the same thing again so that he will claim he did it? I think you are just filled with hate. |
9icetoo:I concur, tire life should be measured in miles not years. I never did measure since at the time of buying new tires, i always feel like am not gonna a tire for 2 or more years which will be hard to keep record. I ended up needing a tire 1 year later in most cases. I got the car at 100k and have 220k now, so I used it for 120kmiles in 6 years. The 1st year am sure was less than 10k since i was using another car. I have used it less in the past 1yr so can be said to be 10-15k. So the middle 4years am sure to have clocked 25-30kmiles/yr. I worked in Abj with family in Kaduna, I did a return trip every weekend. In Abj, it was 60km/day. |
chukel:My ThreeA wore out completely in 1yr and yours did 6 yrs. Imagine the difference. I put the same three A on 2 cars, the 2nd car was small and never traveled. The car had 3 ThreeA and 1 Hifly bought same day. The 3 wore out and were obviously expired by the 4th year and leaving the Hifly in far better shape and thread. The thread wore out completely on both cars leaving other brands. After the ThreeA i used starfire which wore out in 1½years. Then I bought tokumbo grade 1 Michelin. These ones did 2 years but unfortunately both tires blew out same day (what a coincidence and my first blowout). Before the threeA was Maxtrek, worst tire ever. This one, the tire had loss.its shape in less than 6months and was impossible to use with a very good thread. My father bought the same Maxtrek and all 3 were messed up in 6 months. Before Maxtrek was double king, the first tire on this car, then I wasn't using the car so much. But when I started using the car, the tires were through in less than 1 year. I spent a fortune on wheel balancing once the tire reached 6 months. |
chukel:You obviously do not travel. ThreeA is a smooth tire but wears out very fast. |
Randal:You don't need to be in the system to know what happened, what a person needs is common sense. The lack of common Sense in Nigeria today is alarming. |
iyke926:If the Oyo state rice was taken from the customs office in Oyo and the Kano rice was taken from customs office in Kano, do you expect that the Oyo rice be donated to people of Kano and the Kano rice donated to people of Oyo? What is the source of the rice if I may ask you? These rice are the ones seize from smugglers but the storage of the said bad rice was the responsibility of the Oyo customs command. They didn't store it well, it got bad, Buhari is aware that there is rice in customs commands, he allocated rice to various states to be used. The Oyo one turns out bad, how will Buhari know that the rice was bad. Why blame Buhari? Haba, common sense is very common o! |
funshint:Must you guys always turn everything to an insult? Jeeez Nairalanders! |
OgbeniOptional:The Benz will be better as a second car. It can easily get you stranded on a long trip. |
SmartyPants:7.3k is not okay, it will alleviate the problems especially the rise in food prices. A 20k deduction is enough to make half the civil service workforce poor (by standards). |
SmartyPants:I can take a horse to the river but cannot force it to drink. May be you are no following me. 60k was their monthly feeding budget when things were normal. Now things are up by 60%. 60+(60*0.6)=96k That 60k in the market is now 96k but she has 37k. What she needs is more than her entire salary but govt thought, oh she has surplus when they are wrong. Inflation has gone up but the statistics have not picked it up since offices are under lockdown. Get it? She needs 59k more to keep the same standard of living. If they used to eat 3 times a day, now they can afford 1 time a day. |
LordAdam:It is said, "cut your coat according to your size". What the state government is doing is robbing Peter to pay Paul. If they don't have it, why should they rob Peter to pay Paul. Meanwhile, what they are doing is bringing down Peter to the same level as Paul instead of bringing up Paul to same level as Peter. Paul with his normal salary can afford to ride the storm when Paul is sinking due to the storm. The state is saying, if Paul should sink, Peter must sink too. I am not saying the palliatives (spelling noted) should stop, I am saying cash and services will be easier to get to the poor than food items that these poor people are not used to. If i need shoes and you are willing to assist, you need to make sure of the size else your assistance could be in vain. Will you even buy shoes for a hungry and starving man? |
SmartyPants:50 times ehnn! $1000/50=20 20*365= 7300 That means Nigeria can afford to give all Nigerians N7300. I am here complaining that the Nigeria didn't give N7300 to all but a state took away 20,000 from my wife's cousin just 2mins ago. My wifes cousin was already crying because she had enter into a thrift contribution that she gives 25k monthly. The problem here is that out of her 82k salary, 45k is not available, what is available is 37k. With her husband's business shut down, they have only 37k to feed for an entire month down from the 60k she used to feed the family with. This family is going to starve because the governor is insensitive too what happens to them. They used to buy 3 measures of sugar at 500 which is now 800. Instead of spending 1500 on sugar she will spend 2400. Almost 1000 up from last month. If every other thing is up by same rate, the value of 37k is about 15k. That means she needs like 45k to feed this month. Their family is either going to starve or drop their standard of living for this month to even below the poverty level. She is on level 13 and a senior civil servant but is well below poverty line from now on. This was not her own doing, it is the state governor's doing. |
SmartyPants:It is easy to say but is impossible to do it. He is not going to give the money to anybody, trust me. They brought state parliatives, I saw how it was shared. They distributed the state parliatives to LGAs, LGAs shared to Wards and then from wards it landed in the hands of APC ward leaders. The ward leaders divided the entire parliatives into 2 brought out half. Gave bag of semo to a woman, a carton of noodles to her son, 4 litres of vegetables oil to her daughter meanwhile her husband is the ward chairman. Other families received i cup of oil and 2 or 3 noodles. In 1hr, everything has finished. Later that night, the APC ward chairman's son was seen pushing a wheel barrow with 5bags of semo and 5 cartons of noodles plus other items. It took him 3 trips from their house to the store. The state thought they shared parliatives but no, this man does not eat semo in his house. He has never been able to afford them so he called Emeka the shop keep and sold everything to him for cash. This is the reality. You can desire it but you cannot execute it. You can only show the food on TV that you provided but it will not get to where it needs to get. The politicians end up with 25% in their pockets. What ever parliatives that isn't in form of cash or service, ends up in the wrong place. Even if he buys 5 million testing kits, 2 million will end up in a private clinic or pharmacy that citizens will still pay for. Are we comparing GDP? If the American GDP is giving parliatives of $1000, the smaller Nigerian GDP should consider giving $0-100 not to take from citizens. So you think if 25% is deducted, they will not deduct loans, tax, contribution, levies etc? How do they become irrelevant when they will be deducted still and still miss use every as per usual. All those deductions for years didn't provide what they need to provide health insurance or good infrastructure, certainly and month or 2 of heavy deductions will certainly not do anything. Just another fund to be looted while citizens become poorer. Are you aware that a civil servant in Kaduna state with a salary of 100k is at the level of assistant director? In the average, such a person should have less than 15yrs to retire so should be of the mid to late 40's. That means the person should have an average family size of 6 with atleast 4 being adults. After all deductions and the rise in food price, they will be left with 20-30k to feed for 30days.. say. 25k/6=4k Each person of the house hold member will be left with less than N150/day to feed the entire month. That is serious poverty that the governor plunged an assistant director! You have no idea how messed up Nigeria is. |
SmartyPants:Is he going to feed the civil servants? NO. Will they receive parliatives? NO. The are virtually exempted from all support. Kaduna Civil servants get deductions for health insurance. Do they enjoy health insurance not. They get mortgage deductions for the entire 35yrs of service and then given 200k for housing on retirement (both my parents got that). Did you buy sugar recently, the price is almost double. Rice is 30k. Flour, milk, beverages, yams, tomatoes etc have all almost doubled. If food has doubled, the salary's have gone down by half them take out another 25%. What is left. Will the governor feed anyone? How many testing centers are there? What is he going to do with the money that can benefit the civil servants? Nothing? The US government gave all citizens $1000 as parliatives per month. Here, they are taking parliatives from citizens with nothing to show. My neighbor works with the a LG that benefitted the FG 20k, this woman was sharing money with other staff of the LG. Was she poor, no. How did you think she came by the money? For every 20k that a poor person gets, a politician gets 100k. |
Islie:I seriously don't agree with my governor on this. We know for a fact that one of the reasons for corruption in Nigeria is low take home pay by workers. Civil servants cannot afford to build a house, buy a car or at least afford standard 3 square meals. This gives rise to poverty among civil servants who will either find alternate ways to make ends meet of take. With Civil servants exempted from state or federal parliatives, and then price of food stuff has increased 60% in the past weeks then a forced salary cut. When the government is supposed to even give additional parliatives, they have decided to transfer their burden of providing health care facilities, affordable infrastructure and the other state responsibility to civil servants. It is absolutely wrong and very insensitive of the governor. If any Civil servant that has a 100k salary with a loan of any kind say 30k, the person will be left with less than 50k and then have to spend more since price of food has gone up. At the rate of 60% surge on food prices, the civil servant will be left with 20k. That means hardship. 60% of food price surge plus 25% state deduction means a civil servant salary drops by 85%! That is highly wicked of the governor. |
sisisioge:I do wonder what the wicked find in there actions. Since you are obviously a wicked soul, what will you derive if the family of 7 is homeless? |
Femsyn:I can't see the reason you asked this question. If they had their own duplex, you think they will be in her brother inlaws house? |
bukatyne:To say na man dey cheat on his woman, na so so feminist Nairalanders go full thread calling him useless man. Hmmmm |
Ishilove:Rottweiler is among the top 10 most dangerous breeds. It also sits on top of the list. Almost half of death caused by dog attacks in the US are reported to be caused by them. You had your work cut out from the day you bought it. I am sure its not too late but I think you should be very careful, especially about not letting it get hungry. They say, "there is no bad dog, just bad owners". All dogs have teeth and can bite! The training and breed mix is what keeps them from indiscriminate biting. Someone I know was mauled by his 3 dogs last year because they were left hungry more than the usual. The 3 dogs attacked him like they planned to do it. A Caucasian for example is one dog I wil not keep. These breeds are so temperamental but Nigerians especially don't do due diligence in keeping them, so they are mostly aggressive. |
weyreypey:You have forgotten the transmission. It has the most problematic transmission among the commonly used Toyota products. The transmission is expensive too. Most mechanics will now propose a change from the 13pin to 10pin giving birth to other transmission related issues. Also the AC. Once the Factory AC compressor gets bad, you will not enjoy AC for 2 months straight without repairs. |
adioolayi:My tears go to Liverpool. They deserved it, it will not be fair to them at all and can demoralize the team. The teams that did bad like my Arsenal or those at the bottom will want the season scrapped. |
