1Sharon: Why would she say she was fùcking a guy in the next house when she couldn't even tell about something she should have ? Like her 1st period?
I'm criticising ur family based on what you've written here. From your write up, as so-called guardians it's obvious they kept this girl in ignorance and didn't give her sex education or care enough either. If that was the case she wouldn't keep her period all to herself and have sex as a minor without protection.
Who knows that girl could have thought she was dying when she saw that 1st blood.
1st periods are still intimidating even if a young girl is still educated before hand. But this girl staying with ur parents kept her cycle all to herself because she didn't understand it herself or thought no one cared.
She was kept in ignorance and this has backfired on 3 generations of your family( her having sex with your toddler in the room and you said) Am lost for words. You are free to think anyhow and say anything. |

1Sharon: Yh whatever bro
I just hate situations where kids aren't living with their parents, girl or BOY.
The fact that she had no female to confide in when she started her 1st period is already a shame and tells me the type of energy in that household.
If she had someone to talk to, she should have been provided with proper sanitary products and not using cloth
So called guardians. You really have negative energy. Like she didn't tell anyone that she was fucking a boy next house she didnt tell that she was bleeding. Why do you find fault or criticize my family when you have no idea who we are? |

1Sharon: Who are you to the young girl? Why do you know she had her first period? That should be woman to woman
Lord knows...you probably watched her take a shower under the guise of making sure she washes well Jeez, WTF! When you think towards such, you dont even say it. i guess not everyone has that common sense. To put you out of your misery, I was married with a kid and live in my own home different from my parents at the time. Let me oblige you more info. Funny as it sounds, it was my father who discovered her pregnancy (now you will say my father was peeping at her shower time). Out of the blues, when the girl served my parents food, my dad told my mum "Sandra looks pregnant, investigate her". My mum thought it was ridiculous, but mum gave her a container to pee in the next day. The PT test was carried and it was positive. Now, it was my sister who lived in the same room with her that said this girl only started menstruation just a month ago because she saw blood stained pieces of cloth in her closet. Our own testimony added to the mystery. Whenever, my 1 yr old son spends the weekend at my parents house, we noticed a behaviour in him that embarassed us severally. My wife was convinced that my boy has been watching people having sex. She swore to find out who but didn't suspect this girl as she clearly wasnt matured for it. We have my sister and 2 female cousins in the house too. When the pregnancy broke out, it did solved the puzzle for us as to who was having sex in front of our boy. S+e was the one always backing him and playing with him. Testimonies have it that she always took him to our neighbors house and the boy who got her pregnant lives there. |

lacapine: I have a 17 years old maid who would be 18 in June. She came when she was 12 and she is like family now. She is in SS1. My problem is her issues with boys. Always keeping boyfriends of which I discourage her big time. Had to ask her why she keeps them, she said because her classmates/ friends have boyfriends.
I have screamed and threatened but she will still keep. What am I doing wrong? Should I allow her just keep them? I teach her sex education though but she says she isn't sexually active. Today, I saw the picture she and the guy posted on facebook holding each other. I lost it today. I flogged and punished her. I'm I being too hard? How do I help her? We wanted to help her till university days but with these, we are scared and reconsidering sending her back after ss3.
How best do I handle this situation. A man who was my father's campaign DG for LG chairmanship elections but the ambition ditched begged my father on his knees to take as a responsibility one if his daughter's. My dad oblige him taking his 2nd daughter who was in primary 6 thinking we would groom that one instead of the older secondary School 1st daughter. The girl we took was demoted 2 classes to get her to read properly, by JSS 2, her breast were just forming but have not reached full size, had her 1st period the previous month, she was pregnant for an SS1 boy. The end. |

Ebullience: The presidency has yet to confirm the receipt of a letter of resignation by the suspended Chief Justice of the Federation, Justice Walter Onnoghen.
The News Agency of Nigeria reliably gathered that Onnoghen’s resignation letter was submitted to the Chief of Staff to the President, Malam Abba Kyari, by some Justices of the apex court.
NAN, however, learnt that the Justices who submitted the letter arrived at the presidential villa a few minutes after President Muhammadu Buhari had left Abuja for Jordan to participate in the World Economic Forum on Thursday.
A presidency source confirmed to NAN that President Buhari had, before his departure, received the National Judicial Council’s recommendations on the petition written against Onnoghen and the acting CJN, Justice Tanko Muhammad.
The report was submitted to the president by his Chief of Staff, Mallam Abba Kyari, who was accompanied by the Attorney-General and Minister of Justice, Abubakar Malami, at about 2:20 p.m.
The Director, Information, NJC, Mr Soji Oye, on Wednesday in a statement, confirmed that the council had sent its report to President Buhari after the conclusion of its investigation into the petitions against Onnoghen and the acting CJN.
Efforts to speak to presidential spokesmen, Mr Femi Adesina and Mallam Garba Shehu, on the matter, proved abortive as the duo were outside the country on official and private engagements.
NAN reports that Adesina is currently on President Buhari’s entourage to Jordan while Shehu is in Saudi Arabia on pilgrimage.

awuf2008: The president has no choice but to gladly accept the Njc recommendation, that give onoghen a soft landing, if not so, there could a big problem for FG. Remember, Cjn Onoghen has not voluntarily resigned and to remove him, FG needs 2/3 majority in Senate to do it and we all know that it is not possible in the present Senate. Have you checked what you wrote, Buhari has a choice to accept or reject the NJC recommendation. He can accept partly and reject partly. There is no swearing in of Tanko Mohammed as CJN without removal of Onnoghen. Yes a 2/3rd is needed to remove Onnoghen but guess what, the removal is coming from NJC not Buhari, what will be the grounds of Senate rejection? Once they reject, Tanko acts for 3 months, the next senior judge acts for another 3 months and the baton keeps changing every 3 months till Senate accept what the president and NJC did. Senate cannot just keep being anti progressives and being celebrated by the opposition. Its only governance that will suffer. |

The soft landing for Onoghen may not be part of the script, but then...I guess buhari will have to accept the proposal so he can finally retain the funny looking Mohammad Did i see you say "have to accept". Sis, he doesn't have to. Imagine this, if Buhari grants him retirement with full benefits which means he has a seat at the council of state, he is later convicted via EFCC, wouldn't it be strange to have a convict seated at the council of state? The situation now has never happened, so Buhari is in unchartered waters, only his legal advisers will tell him what to do |

sacx: I'm not allergic to contrary opinion, No. I'm allergic to stoopid opinions. Now you made me use that word . Go read on the separation of powers and come back to make a mockery of you earlier comment. Peace out. What law is separation of powers? Can you quote it? Seperation of powers is not law, its a principle. It is not law in itself in the Constitution. It is a principle on which laws are made. Therefore it is the law that enforces seperation of powers. In this case, Buhari as a president has his lawful duties derived by the Constitution so has the CJN. However, the law places the appointment of the CJN in the hands of the president, Senate and NJC. This does not breach any constitutional responsibility given to the CJN and so cannot be said that seperation of powers has been violated. Even if he did, it is the Constitution that allowed such action of the president to violate the Constitution so the blame is on the Constitution not the president. To think that seperation of powers is what you have been holding on to as an opinion is laughable. Talk about facts not principles which are broken every single day in Nigeria. Am sure you even had to break the principle of common sense in calling my opinions stupid. Yours is a classic case of the blind window shopper. |

komekn: Dictatorship rely entirely on usurping the power of others and concentrating power in themselves.
Our legislative arm is impotent.
Our Judiciary is impotent.
And now they are reporting to the President where is the check and balance from the separation of powers.
I don't ascribe to your inference, the NJC has constitutional recognition and is independent of the executive. But it seems the EFCC and CCT both within the Executive alm are being used unconstitutionally to to perpetrat unlawful governance by coercion through blackmail of prosecution.
DANGEROUS TIMES FOR OUR NATION. Have you even seen the powers of the NJC for yourself? They derive their power from the president for Gods sake. NJC has no power of control over the Judiciary, the president is the power, their is not to order but to recommend or advise. The National Judicial Council shall have the power to:
1. Recommend to the President from among the list of persons submitted to it by - o the Federal Judicial Service Commission, persons for appointment to the Offices of the Chief Justice of Nigeria, the Justices of the Supreme Court, the President and Justices of the Court of Appeal, the Chief Judge and Judges of the Federal High Court, and o the Judicial Service Committee of the Federal Capital Territory, Abuja, persons for appointment to the Offices of the Chief Judge and Judges of the High Court of the Federal Capital Territory, Abuja, the Grand Kadi and Kadis of the Sharia Court of Appeal of the Federal Capital Territory, Abuja and the President and Judges of the Customary Court of Appeal of the Federal Capital Territory, Abuja;
2. recommend to the President the removal from office of the Judicial Officers specified in sub-paragraph (a) of this paragraph, and to exercise disciplinary control over such Officers;
3. recommend to the Governors from among the list of persons submitted to it by the State Judicial Service Commissions persons for appointments to the Offices of the Chief Judges of the States and Judges of the High Courts of the States, the Grand Kadis and Kadis of the Sharia Courts of Appeal of the States; and President and Judges of the Customary Courts of Appeal of the States;
4. recommend to the Governors the removal from office of the Judicial Officers specified in sub-paragraph (c) of this paragraph, and to exercise disciplinary control over such officers;
5. collect, control and disburse all moneys, capital and recurrent, for the judiciary;
6. advise the President and Governors in any matter pertaining to the judiciary as may be referred to the Council by the President or the Governors;
7. appoint, dismiss and exercise disciplinary control over Members and staff of the Council;
8. control and disburse all monies, capital and recurrent, for the services of the Council; and
9.deal with all other matters relating to broad issues of policy and administration.
10. The Secretary of the Council shall be appointed by the National Judicial Council on the recommendation of the Federal Judicial Service Commission and shall be a Legal Practitioner.” WRT 7, they have control over the staff and membership of the NJC but not outside the council. Our constitution is flawed, i agree. All the heads of the 3 arms of government should be elective in my opinion such that no one controls the other. But as far as the head of the executive is the one who has the power to appoint, swear in, and removed the head of the judiciary, the judiciary is not completely independent. They only have the power on the money appropriated for the Judiciary. They have power to appoint the secretary of the council. |

The presidency cannot ridicule the NJC or arbitrarily reverse their decisions without flouting the rule of law. Can they sack any single judge? Can they appoint a judge? Can they swear in a judge? Can they suspend a judge? They have no such powers. The power they have is to recommend all these actions but not by themselves. |

The rule of Law and the principle of separation of powers. Has just been murdered in cold blood in the the full view of the Nation.
We are now effectively running a DICTATORSHIP. You guys had no idea of the law. NJC has zero power. What they do is recommend. What ever they have in their recommendation, they do not want the president to override them which may cause a public outcry from people like you when they know that the president is not bound to their recommendation. It could also affect their council negatively or their personal capacities since Buhari's action can ridicule the council. They took the best action such that whatever the president does, the true position of the NJC will not be known and the reputation of the council will be intact whether Buhari goes for or against their recommendation. |

ijebulion: please is 120ft by 120ft equals 2 plots of land. my own thinking was that a 2 plots of land should be 240ft by 120ft but a friend was telling me that 120ft by 120ft equals 2 plot. infact he called it a square land, so my people in the house please analyse and help out if its wrong or not. Thanks A plot is either 50ft by 100ft or 60ft by 120ft depending on the location. In the north is mostly 50 by 100 and 60 by 120 in the south. With respect to 60 by 120, 2 plots can be either 120ft by 120ft or 60ft by 240ft. Most often you will find 2 plots as 120 by 120 than 60 by 240. Most lands are sold with one 60 side as front having the access with the 120 as the sides of adjoining plot or with a corner piece case having access at one side too. A 60 by 240 means having 2 plots arranged end to end. You find that mostly in estates where the 2 plots are back to back of 2 streets. This kind of land is not usually suitable for most purposes since its too long on one side. |
