Prof Corruption: Nigerians do know the type of leaders we have now. I pity the likes of Mimiko and Akpabio.
At the height of his glory, Fayose once said if Obasanjo asked him to slap IBB that he would do it with all joy without asking for further clarifications. What happened to Fayose at the end of it all?

Where's Senator Ibrahim Mantu et al today-the all powerful movers and shakers of OBJ's third term? Where is Senator Jonathan Zwingina?

I am so ashamed of Mimiko to say the very least. Mimiko has no iota of honesty in him. Wao!!! Tinubu was right after all.
hmm.true talk.whatever happened to that mantu of a guy.he was all over d papers then.....our politicians sell their dignity to d dogs.I'm happy for this video but even without d video,d rigger of d election already confessed it in church on sunday, and even said God was in support.I don't need to see d video to agree that it was rigged!!

queven: they will never mention if ransom was paid or not..y do they hide this fact
I think they don't mention that ransom was paid so that potential kidnappers will get discouraged.if for instance a frustrated youth keeps hearing ransom being paid in 6-9digits,he may decide that kidnapping is a lucrative business afterall. Then secondly, maybe they are trying to protect their "integrity".that's ironical cos integrity and lies don't go hand in hand.

I may be wrong but I don't think people had anything bad to say about her.whenever I hear her songs,I'm caterpaulted back to my childhood.most of d people "singing her praises" here were kids when she sang and were only too happy to dance to her "happy birthday" tunes during "baideis" like d OP called it.besides,I think she's scandal free.Evi Edna is fondly remembered.

Nairaland GeneralRe: Does Flogging Have A Place In Modern Nigerian Society? by addicted268(f): 1:03pm On May 25, 2013
ogugua88: I hate the act of flogging. My dad flogged us when we were younger and I always found it stupid and heartless. It was very saddening and I believed my father didn't love my siblings and I. Sometimes I think back now that I'm adult, and I see no reason for any of it. I can't attribute any good thing that I am to flogging.

I've already vowed not to flog or spank my children. I don't want them to reflect in adulthood and have moments of disdain or disappointment for me the way I have for my dad sometimes.
in my home,my mum was the flogger.she would assign housechores and sometimes come home to find that we didn't do them.played a lot.ohh, how she flogged us!we never hated her for it.not for a single day,the irony is that my dad,who never lifted a finger on us was the one we feared.....as an adult, when I reflect,I hold nothing in my heart for her but pure love.sometimes we tease her about her "terror cane" and we all have a goodlaugh about it.......back to topic,I will flog my kids.children are more intelligent than we give them credit for.they know whose bluff to call and whose not to.they know what they can get away with, and with whom.we keep saying "he's just a child, when he's older he ll get it".more often than not, they don't get it!from as early as 2yrs old, they try to manipulate d parents.at 2,I won't exactly use a cane on my kid but will spank d back of his/her palm, when they get older,I ll introduce d cane.as late teenagers,I ll use words.there's no way that kid won't turn out good!and yes,I owe the way I turned out to my parents, especially my mum!I LOVE YOU MUM!!

One is very prominent in the parliament. We are happy to be associated with them. We are happy when they link them to Nigeria. No sense denying that these guys are of Nigerian descent and they are of Yoruba descent as well. I am a Yoruba man, before yyou start screaming black and blue.

That said, you have lunatics in every country. These guys did not show the true Nigerian character. they showed lunatism. The British people are not accusing Nigeria. They are only pointing to their origin.

It is not right to just critize anything west or anything Nigerian.
