With the frequency of reported incidence in this country, your comment borders on senselessness.
Guy U just dey cap.....since u have shifted to statistics..permit me to ask u the same question someone asked when I told him 550 cases happened in Canada in a space of two years

What's the statistics of reported cases in Nigeria?? .... I know u don't know....that's why I said u just dey Cap...

For how long should he keep correcting her? Whereas she is an adult not a toddler.

I Do not blame the wife but the husband. Too many weak men who can't put women in their place.
Women don't ever blame fellow women for anything ...they always want to get away with their actions, never to be blamed .... they never want the consequences of their actions to blow up in their face..

Come and see this woman's advice when it's the man abusing the woman....

Rampant??
Permit me ask you the same question wey one werey ask me earlier becos he wanted to justify abroad doctors when I told him 550 cases happened within 2 years in just Canada alone ..

What is the actual statistics of this cases compared to the total number of surgeries done in Nigeria....since u said it's rampant.??

This is what I just told someone a while ago here. ....he now started shifting goal post justifying and worshipping oyinbo yansh by comparing the 550 cases in Canada within two years to the total number of surgeries ....

like you ... he doesn't even have statistics of the number of this occurrence in Nigeria....

If they are like every other human beings what makes them different why are they called doctors? where is the place of professional due diligence? This is not excusable because human life is involved here.
What's ur point??
That they can't make mistakes?? That because of medical training, they must not be prone to mistakes....That it's not possible for them to make mistakes..?? That working conditions cannot make them make mistakes??

I don't get u pple.... bros ....There is theory ooo. and there is reality....

Theory is that doctors are trained to save lives
The reality is that doctors are humans that are over worked especially in nigeria...they sometimes work 22 hrs straight .....

The reality is FG is not doing enough to improve medical practice

The reality is that the WHO recommendation for ratio of doctors to population should be 1 doctor to 600 people ..but Nigeria is at 1: 3500 as at 2017....with japa..I don't know what it is now

The reality is that there is sometimes no electricity in between surgeries....

I can go on...but u saying these pple can not be prone to errors is what is not acceptable .. in every practice l, errors have acceptable margins....
And make no mistakes errors happen everyday from misdiagnosis to mis-prescribing drugs....it's not only surgery

Racist?? U are the that's racist and needs help..
All I told u is that this things happens even in saner climes..instead of u to dialogue in a civil manner u resulted to insults and started to justify the 550 mistakes that happened in canada

.. Did u do the same for Nigeria?? U said it was unacceptable ... I exposed ur nonsense and asslîcking behavior... then u decided to shift goal post calling me racist...u clearly don't know the meaning of that word.... Again orí e tí dáru

It is very difficult to discuss logic with unintelligent people.

I asked you to compare that figure with the total surgeries in Canada. Give me a percentage. Why is that so difficult for you to understand?
I deliberately didn't answer you because u are just capping....if u need stats go do ur research and compare it with Nigerian total number of surgeries as well...
Suddenly u know how bring up amount of surgeries to justify the 550 that happened in Canada in two years.........yet u were saying it's unacceptable when it was ur Nigerian doctor under discussion....

Oh ..so now there is an acceptable error margin because it's Canada..... Orí e tí darú...

U are just an aslicker and worshiper of white men...

1. The possibility of it happening in Canada is very very slim. Do you know how many surgeries are performed in Canada per day. Compare that with Nigeria and see the amount of instruments being forgotten in Nigeria.
2. How many Canadian doctors came online to justify the stupid act of their colleague.
It's slim and 550 happened in 2 years?? Baba u just dey cap ..

That is the more reason why there should be other professionals and doctors in the theatre so errors like this do not occur. In the government hospital may mum worked in then they had surgeons, assisting doctors, anesthetics, theatre nurses, etc assisting the surgeons. Having many eyes minimizes such errors. Today in most of these quack hospitals you have just one doctor working alone being assisted by these quack Eliza nurses yet they charge hundreds of thousands for surgeries.
The WHO recommendation of the rato of one doctor to population of state is 1:600....

As at 2017 Nigeria is at 1: 3500... I Don't know how it is now with the japa episodes.....

Like u mentioned ...The government also doesn't have recommendation for private hospital practice...no quality assurance.....and we all expect a person standing through an 18hr surgery won't make mistake in the name of being a professional..... Okay ooo make una dey play

Shut up!

It's the height of negligence. You are operating on a human being, not a china phone. It makes ZERO sense to forget things INSIDE a person.

The OP is merely calling for PUNISHMENT that's equal to the crime.

If a Doctor leaves something inside a patient, his/her license should be retracted. Hospital should be penalised and the Doctor should be sued and convicted for the heinous crime.

They should NEVER be allowed to touch a scalpel ever again.

Go to a hospital and see how nonchalant the doctors and nurses are. It's SUPER disgusting.

The only sensible people in a Nigerian hospital are the laboratory workers. The rest are mad. ALL of them.

Those who Japa dare NOT misbehave when they do so. Else, jail time.
Lol...u just dey cap...
. Jail time?? Lol ...

This is not even a Nigerian doctor thing .. I said what I said because it happens everywhere...it's not right, but it is what it is...

In a two year statistic...550 objects were forgotten in patients from 2016-2018... And that's in Canada alone.....

https://www.google.com/amp/s/globalnews.ca/news/6138765/surgery-forgotten-objects/amp/

So no dey cap like say where Dem dey japa go ..it doesn't happen there...the statistics is even lesser in Nigeria..

Do u know the amount of misdiagnosis and mis-prescription that happen in a week, month and year leading to fatalities... U think doctors are 100% accurate....u think because a patient went home fine after visiting them means they didn't make any mistake??

They all make mistake through their career... Some are just lucky not to be fatal

..U just dey cap man

A doctor who is prone to mistakes shouldn't be a doctor. He should work in the morgue as an embalmer
Lol....... All doctors are prone to mistakes.. and they do it through their careers..some are non-fatal, some are.....some don't even get detected as their fault......it doesn't mean they are not professionals or wicked....

.. Misdiagnosis happen when symptoms look similar.....it's a mistake...it's not intentional

They mis-prescribe when they misdiagnose and when they don't have good history of patients

..during surgery..poor sutures happens, forgetting things...They even sometimes use an anaesthesic for a patient that that become allergic to it and die on the table

They are not God...they make mistakes all the time....some are just lucky their mistakes aren't fatal

Toy with lives?? Lol....u can speak grammar
Go and look at WHO recommendation for ratio of one medical doctor to the population of a state .....Nigeria is a light years from that recommendation....

... If u think forgetting something in a patient's stomach is worse mistake doctors make... Then u don't know just how crazy the Nigerian medical practice is..

I am tired of my wife's quarrelsome behaviour which I think she reserves for me. I can be having a honest conversation with her and out of nowhere it will lead to a quarrel with her. It suprises me. Strange enough, I have observed her conmuniction with neighbours, work colleagues and she knows how to compose herself but when it is me even a funny comment can upset her. Even when I tell her I didn't mean her negative interpretation of a comment, she will still insist on her negative interpretation. She sometimes talks to me in a way that seems unfriendly to the point that I desire her talking to me the way she talks to outsiders. I have talked to her about it but it is not helping matters. She acts like she is not ware of her tone but there is a stark difference between how she talks to me and other people. I earn far more than her and take care of the house bills so money is not an issue. I feel like I am the only one proactive about peace in the marriage while she is care-free How can I deal with this?
U have lost the leverage of the relationship to her at some point.... Some women tend to feel they are doing u a favour by dating or staying married to you....so they treat u like door mat once u give them too much allowance.

Oga ..let her know her attitude is frustrating and u are starting to consider that divorce might give u the peace u desire ......she will quickly accuse u infidelity, that u have been planning it, she will make it all about herself and how she has suffered with you because pple like her don't see anything wrong in their behavior .....

. Nor look uche face.....drop the divorce papers with her to scare her....her brain will reset......... If she continues are behavior .........baba, u cannot trade ur peace of mind just because u want to remain married to a troublesome woman that needs u to pay her bills .....

On a serious note so how do I instill eating from my hands freely, hands in mouth or plate etc without being bitten
Feed the dog from your hands... taking food directly from the same plate they are used to..

Also...When u want to give them food in their usual plate...don't take plate into the house and bring the food out... Instead bring the food out and dish to into their plate in their presence, introducing your hands into the plate ...

Try to Withdraw the plate from them to add more food....this will gradually get them used to not seeing u as a threat around their food...

Repeat it for a many days... U go dey alright
