There was a shooting 5 mins from me in Vaughan last night. 5 people lost their lives. Surprised the media (BBC, CBC,CNN...) are not reporting the full story. The gunman was also killed by police in the process. At the end the Canada (especially GTA) housing crisis is now turning some people to become gunmen.
The story in the neighborhood is that a man was frustrated by members of his Condo Board and out of anger he got a gun and shot 6 of the board members.

In Canada today there is a limit on annual rental increases. This makes it impossible for landlords to increase rents for existing tenants by more than 2.5% in Ontario. Some landlords and Condo management coys find ways to frustrate tenants out of the building so they can rent to new tenants at an uncapped price. Looks like they did that to a 73 year old man who has been a tenant in the apartment for 11 years. Probably retired and faced with financial pressures as well as being too old to face the hurdles of finding a house he may have opted to pour his anger on the condo board members that took the decision against him. They probably need her to show up to explain that overstay, so just schedule that appointment and let her go and explain to them why she did overstay which was covid and it was beyond her control and they’ll reissue her visa if they’re convinced by the dates. Changing rules from 24 to 48 months does not change the paper you have that clearly ticks that you should schedule an interview

I'm a woman and I've met women that have been conditioned that way too.
They earn so well and watch their husbands go through hell to manage ALL the bills.
To me, it doesn't matter who earns more as long both are bringing something to the table and working as a team to be better on individual levels

As a medical personnel person the health system is running aground. Many consultants have vowed to leave the country if the wrong candidate wins.

Recently many teaching hospitals have been calling for doctors to come and take up jobs but no one is even available.

I have seen many people die of resolvable issues because there was no specialist within that vicinity to proper help.

Keep supporting the wrong candidates when you know the right thing to do.

You know Peter Obi is the best chance we have at redeeming the country.

Soon when someone has an ordinary stroke, there wouldn't be even an experienced hand to solve it. You think it is about being paid. Very soon no good doctor will be on ground to help you even if you have all the money.
