Family › Re: Why Do We Marry? by Afam4eva(m): 9:09pm On Jan 01, 2016 |
mostyg: I created a thread some weeks back about how best to design a house in anticipation of a second wife but instead of gettin the advice I sought, I found myself defending polygamy. Many accussed me of just wanting to satisfy my sexual pleasure at the detriments of my wives. I would like to know why you got married or why do you want to get married? I'm not a fan of marriage but the only reason that comes to my mind on getting married is ifyalways: To have 24/7 kpekus with a man woman I love without fear or condemnation from man or God. |

Rose2014: I agree with you on the effect ish Imagine how they've bn trying to silence the Igbos in SS saying they don't exist
I believe if Buhari didn't say it on live TV, my darling Barca would've opened a thread by now to tell us how Buhari didn't mean it that way
To all the Igbos in SS and anywhere else on the globe, one love United we stand, divided we fall like oil price Those people know these things, they're just trying to downplay the indigenous Igbos presence in the SS for obvious reasons. There are Igbos in Delta and Rivers state and anyone who thinks otherwise need to have themselves checked. |

Politics › Re: There Are Igbos In South South- Buhari by Afam4eva(m): 8:39pm On Jan 01, 2016 |
It's like there's more effect in Buhari calling an Aniocha/Oshimilli and an Ika person Igbo. I can see how some of those who claim that there are no Igboss in SS are now shifting ground. Tonyebarcanista now believes that there are Igbos in Delta state and HopeatHand believes that other Igboid groups in rivers state are Igbos but never her own Ikwerre. Whatever pto "There are no Igbos in Rivers". |

It's not like they can't speak Enlgish. They just feel more comfortable speaking pidgin to people they call friends. The same way students in Ibadan will prefer speaking Yoruba or those in Owerri favouring Igbo. |

Anna had to open legs for someone who already had a child by another women. She was a beauty queen and must have been sort after by a lot of affluent men. |
Politics › Re: Document Showing The Population Of Nigeria In 1920 by Afam4eva(m): 1:01pm On Dec 30, 2015 |
omonnakoda: Whatever was published in 1920 was an estimate or guess. There was no census. The fact that an Oyinbo wrote down his guess in a book does not validate it. Once again what is the basis of this figures I'll assume that you're saying this because it doesn't favour your thoughts. |
Politics › Re: Document Showing The Population Of Nigeria In 1920 by Afam4eva(m): 1:00pm On Dec 30, 2015 |
meezynetwork: From the document it shows igbo land has always been populous if owerri and onitsha province could account for about 3.5m of 8m southern population which is about half of the total population. And also the Yorubas has major towns and live in clusters while the Igbos live sparsely. I don't know why ogoja has been neglected so badly like this. This has been a prominent name right from ages. Visited ogoja this year on my way to obudu and it's still the same little and low life town it has always been. It's time for ogoja state to be created. All other names are big towns now expect ogoja. You're right. Ogoja is one of the very first places to be clamoring to have their own state and the place has been prominent since time immemorial. I think it's all politics. Only if they had prominent people in power. |

centje: You're mistaking congestion to development. Our towns will be well developed if we can change this Nigerian mentality of thinking unplanned, congested houses translates to proper development. Development is not about tall houses, but about proper planning. You need to read United Nation's definition of Development. According to your reasoning, when houses are surrounded by vegetation, it means there's no development. What happens to the issue of Climate change in relation to Vegetation...what matters most in development is proper planning, and that is lacking in every Nigerian Cities and towns. No Nigerian city or town is well planned. I think what you mean is comprehensive planning. I believe there are several variables that makeup a completely planned city but the resources are not easy to come by, so some cities will have to settle for what they can afford. |

Orikinla: Dangote Group has branches and offices in the south east and south south. There is a Dangote cement terminal in Port Harcourt, Rivers State. I crossed out South East not South South. PH is in SS not SE. Dangote has depots all over the country because his proucts has to be supplied to every nook and cranny. However, he doesn't ave anything tangible in the SE let alone claiming that he has more investment in the SE thn the north. |

CSTR2: I am waiting for one of them to tell us the anioma is not part of the SS. The igbo ethnic already have legitimate foothold in the so-called SS. Nothing they can do about it and it pains them to admit it. They can do something about it. They can claim that Asaba is not Igbo. |
Politics › Re: Glaring Difference Between Igbo And Biafra by Afam4eva(op): 9:10am On Dec 29, 2015 |
Sweetlemon: The Ndokis or whatever you call them are settlers around the Abia/Akwa Ibom border. They are NOT Indegenes. It's just like calling Igbos in Festac or Alaba Lagos indegenes. That they made Amuwo odoofin their home does not in any way make them Lagos indegenes. Be guided. Maybe the Asaba people are also settlers in DElta state. Are you aware that Akwa Ibom is an articial creation? Are you aware that Anambra has Indigenous Igala people? |
Politics › Re: Glaring Difference Between Igbo And Biafra by Afam4eva(op): 9:06am On Dec 29, 2015 |
Akaujaa: This makes a little bit of sense though with a little bit of bias. The Igbos from Asaba were part of the secession movement contrary to the claim of this writer. Colonel Joe Achuzie, one of Ojukwu's assistants is from Asaba and he is still very much alive to the Biafra dream, though old now. No, they were not as they were not part of the eastern region in question. Though they were sympatethic to their Igbo brothers and also lost people in the war. |

maestroferddi: What exactly did you set out to achieve with this self-serving thread other than cheap popularity?
Do you have any semblance of statistical or empirical data to support your wild assertion that the Biafra concept is unpopular among the Igbos? So, Biafra being popular and majority of Igbos actively supporting it is the same thing? |
