BuddahMonk: Just that the entire Anambra witnessed massive road network the only thing Obi brought his town is Agulu Lake Resort.
CBN in Anambra State is in Awka not Soludo's hometown of Isuofia but Ekwueme took Okopoly to his hometown of Oko. Zik took UNN to Nsukka and Ojukwu took UNEC to Enugu.
We need to embrace our cities. We need to build our cities first before developing the rural areas with money realized from taxes in the city.
I hate clannishness but I won't ditch my town when development comes calling. I think the idea of developing cities first is simply for bragging right else I don't understand how a place that houses less than 20% of the population should be given priority at the detriment of the rural areas. It just goes to show that our definition of development is skewed. The major actor in development is the people and that should be given full priority over anything else. |

BuddahMonk: Mbaniuju tooK Anambra State University to his hometown when he was governor, Ngige came and open a campus at his hometown Aro but when Pita Obi came he moved everything to Igbariam with few departments at Uli now. The present governor is developing his hometown with Abuja pace, the highest construction works in Anambra are going on in that area.
NAFDAC zonal office is located at Agulu, Dora Akunyili's hometown.
This is why Jonathan is a moroon. He is not an idiot. He simply did things the way they're supposed to be . I hate the clannishness of our leaders. If you are the governor of Enugu state then the entire Enugu should be a priority. If you're so interested in developing your hometown, go and become a local government chairman or councilor. |

I had many pictures, maybe I will dig it up later. I even suspect all of Sullivan's little girlfriends when he was in primary school got new roads to their fathers compounds in Udi But why do our rulers rule with sentiments. As much as I'm delighted that UDI has too good motorable rural roads, I'm very concerned by Tue fact that someone who's elected to govern a whole state, decides to give preferential treatment to his area of origin ahead of others. It's the exact same thing that Chimaroake did for Agbani. |

I thought the British accent was supposed to be easier to grasp compared to the American accent because the standard British accent is slower and words are usually called out slowly and in full unlike the American accent. The only British accent that proves a little difficult is the one usually spoken by those black ghetto kids in London. I think it kinda sounds Jamaican. |

nstead of our people to demand for a greater role in Nigeria, they are demanding for Biafra.
OK, we have senators and house of representative members, how many of them sponsor a bill that would profit the life of those in their constituency?
We have state governors, what concrete project have they handled? And they receive allocation too The list goes on and on.
Though our forefathers were the stupid ones who sowed the seed of discord among us (Ahmad Bello and co.) We should not make the same mistake nor walk in their footsteps.
There is strength in unity, Harness it Some of you don't fail to dissapoint me. The issue here is not whether they are fighting for Biafra but how they're going about it. Webmasters › Re: Pls Advice: A Developer Has Refused My Access To The Website Database I Paid For by Afam4eva(m): 4:03pm On Jun 23, 2015 |
prince3009: For a second, when i saw this topic on FP, i thought the OP was referring to me until i clicked on the thread to realize that it wasn't me cos i and a client i developed a website for is undergoing the same problem right now just that my client is a woman.
She happens to be the wife of a friend who said she wanted a website and we reached some terms, she paid and i got to work but while i was on it, wahala started...
1. She started making outrageous demands like wanting to have a chat interface on the website (we never talked about that when before i started o) which means extra work for me...but due to the cordial relationship i had with her husband, i obliged.
2. I was making use of Wordpress in developing her website and each time i use a theme, she would complain she did not want it and i would have to change only for her to complain about the color which i would change and then she would complain about something else again. ( i ended up using about 6 different themes in the end)
3. Finally after 3 torturing months, i finished the site complete with a forum using Simple Machines (the type that powers Nairaland) and everything was working perfectly well until she started making demands for the admin Username and Password. I as a developer do not under any circumstances give those credentials to the client because of professional reasons so i decided to just give her the Wordpress Super Admin access instead though i created an account on Wordpress which allowed her to post articles as the owner but she was not contented with it.
Giving her the Super Admin for the site was my greatest undoing because just days later, she defaced the site, the logo which was neatly positioned by the left corner became bloated and covered one-third of the website and the worst...THE FORUM DISAPPEARED!
She kept calling me and pestering me to do something about it and by then, i had gotten a contract that saw me developing like 4 other major websites and that became a problem because i had less time to rectify the mess she made on the site. I tried in my spare time to fix it but discovered that the whole plugins were no longer functional and whenever i tried to deploy any script, it gave me a Database Error with Depreciated PHP values.
I had to kill the Wordpress on her account and start the job all over again and came up with something better but left the site with the usual "Hello Dolly" post and told her to kindly start reposting the posts that were previously there and she went beserk insisting i should give her the C-Panel rights to the website.
(Note: the domain and hosting expired last month and i had to renew it for her just to calm her down) but she still insisted that she wants the C-Panel which i made her understand that i could not release it to her because her domain is not the only one being hosted on my account (i make use of DreamHost) but she would hear none of it.
So when she sent me an SMS just this morning, i politely reminded her that i renewed the hosting for her out of my benevolence but if she insists she wants the C Panel Admin rights, then she should pay me first for the renewal before i move the hosting to another company and furnish her with the credentials.
So you see OP, don't blame the developer because these are the kind of problems we encounter. I wonder why you want the access to the database while you are not a developer yourself. You guys are really getting me confused. Did she pay for hosting initially and did you order for a new hosting account for her or you just created an addon domain cos i don't understand how a hosting account will have other websites in it. |
Webmasters › Re: Pls Advice: A Developer Has Refused My Access To The Website Database I Paid For by Afam4eva(m): 11:21am On Jun 23, 2015 |
I really don't I understand how a developer will build a site for someone and still reserve the right to own the codes. What exactly does that mean? I think the client made abgrave mistake by not going through the contract papers carefully before signing because as it is, based on what Lincolnpix has said and if true, will win this one in a court of law.
Having said that, we developers should try as much as possible to employ some level of kindness when dealing with people. I know its a business but we shouldn't go to any length to rip off clients who may not understand what they are signing up for. |

Culture › Re: Ukwuani People Are Not Igbos. by Afam4eva(m): 3:42pm On Jun 21, 2015 |
mumbasa: Ukwuani is not a dialect and it is not Igbo. It’s an ethnic group it’s a language that is linguistically similar to Igbo language.
Something makes Umu- igbo sees themselves as always superior. Igbo, Ukwuani, Ekpeye, Ogba & Ikwerre are familiar tribes. Let everyone respect each other instead of claiming the territories of one another. The greediest among these tribes is Igbo.
All over the world we have distinct tribes with similar language and no one claims that the other person is answering his name so he must be Igbo.
Spanish and Portuguese – they both answer names like Diego, Jose, Fernando but the Portuguese man doesn’t wake up to tell the Spanish man that you are answering my name and you are Portuguese.
When a Portuguese man answers Rodriguez it’s a portugese name similarly when a Spanish man answers Rodriguez it becomes a Spanish name.
NO ONE OWNS THE NAME.
Uhrobo and Isoko – They both answer names like Afoke, Oghene.
Bini, Esan, Etsako – They are also different languages. I don’t mean dialects
Eleme and Ogoni – Some similar names but again different language and no one claims the other.
Ukwuani ,Ikwerre, Ekpeye, Ogba, and Igbo language – Big problem because the Igbo’s say we are answering their names but let me point out that if an Igbo man answers Chukwu it’s an Igbo name, If an Ukwuani man answers Chukwu it becomes an Ukwuani name similarly when an ikwerre man answers Chukwu its now an Ikwerre name.
Itsekiri and Yoruba language – they also have same problems with Yoruba’s but let them speak for themselves.
Ụkwụànì (sometimes spelled Ụkwànì) are a distinct ethnic group of people located in the heart of Delta State in the Delta North Senatorial District they occupy three local governments in Delta state and some of them bleed into Rivers state. They are closely related to the Ndoni people found in Rivers states in Nigeria.
They didn’t say they are not Igbo’s because someone drew a map and that placed them in Delta State. Remember that before the war they were all in one state with; Igbo’s , Ikwerres , Ijaw’s and Itshekiri’s called eastern region but they supported the Nigerian cause during the civil war and do not in any way consider themselves to be of the Igbo stock. Ụkwụànì language has 88% resemblance with dialects of Aboh and Ndoni.
When an Ikwerre, Ekpeye or Ukwuani man tells you that he is not Igbo it doesn’t mean that there is anything wrong with the Igbo’s or it’s a bad thing to be Igbo but don’t just use your ignorance to discard my identity and give me yours. There are many very intelligent, successful, rich talented Igbo’s spread all over the world so you can see that there is nothing wrong with the Igbo’s.
JUST DON’T DISCARD MY IDENTITY – Maybe the Itsekiris and some people in parts of Kogi and Kwara feel same because I have heard many of them say I am not Yoruba and the Yoruba man says your name is Tunde how can you say you are not Yoruba. You made some valid points and also goofed on a loot of assertions that you made. if there is one thing that i have noticed, it is that arguments on both sides are usually riddled with half truths with no atom of objectivity whatsoever. When juxtaposing the Igbo/Ukwuani position with another example, it is best you use examples that are very similar with the one you are trying to compare it with. For instance, despite the fact that you have a point with the Spanish/Portugese example, you have to understand that these are nations (not necessarily countries in this context). What i mean is that there is a very strong awareness on both sides, so despite the glaring similarities between them, none will accept to be referred as the other, coupled with the fact that they're a nation of similar size unlike Igbo and Ukwuani. Your Urhobo/Isoko example is also not solid because, despite the fact that they are known by different names, they are more times than not, being referred together as Urhobo/Isoko just like Efik/Ibibio just to highlight the similarities between them or the fact that they are the same people seperated by dialects. I also think you need an education because never a time was Ukwuani part of the eastern region. Ukwuani which was part of old Bendel state have always been in the western region before the mid west was created and subsequently Bendel state. So, there is no way Ukwuani would have fought on the side of Biafra considering that Biafra was a fight for the old eastern region consisting of not just Igbos, to break away from Nigeria. As a matter of fact some Eastern Igbos fought on the side of Nigeria, so don't make it a point that because you fought for Nigeria, it makes you non-Igbo because the war was not between Igbo and Nigeria. The Elemi and Ogoni example also falls flat as Eleme has always been classified as ogoni and despite the fact that we have your likes in Eleme who deny their Ogoni heritage, there's no tribe called Eleme in Nigeria. Ogoni is made of of Khana, Gokhana, Tai and Eleme and even the scolarship instituted by Ken Saro Wiwa for Ogoni people is being enjoyed by a lot of Eleme people. Also, rarely do you find a Yoruboid person from Kogi or Kwara tell you that they're not Yoruba. Only a handful of them, mostly from Ilorin will tell you that but the consensus has always been that they are Yorubas unlike you folks that have made a name for yourself by saying you're not Igbo. I don't blame you, i blame some Igbos that have contributed to giving your likes relevance on this forum. I also find it strange that whenever you want to highlight the tribal differences, you always tend to lump Igbos into one basket. When are you people going to educate yourselves on this issue. Igbos are not homogenous like you people think. We all have dialects and traditions that are not practiced by every part of Igboland. You made mention of Ukwuani not having kings. Who told you Igbos had kings? The whole royal ish is a new invention. My final submission is that you are not Igbo and shouldn't be treated as such. I believe that people should be called what they want to be called. I don't know why someone will spend time trying to convert someone to be Igbo. I would be wary of someone who wasn't Igbo before and suddenly becomes Igbo. Such a person cannot be trusted. Let's stick to people who say they are Igbos and leave these folks to be who they wanna be. |

Ihuomadinihu: Yes,black Africans. I find it difficult to put black close to Africa, considering that Africa is already associated with the black race. Madagascar is currently populated by Africans, Asians and Arabs. So i wanna know if it was multi racial during slavery. Madagascar just like Mauritius and other Island countries off mainland Africa was discovered by Europeans, the French in most cases and black Africans were taken, mostly from Eastern Africa to these islands. So, the blacks in these places became the indegenes or creole like they're called. The Indians and Arabs came later due for work and stayed. |
