ACM10: Even if the list is expanded to 10 states, Ebonyi is not supposed to be there. Nna, try to travel to many northern states, you will have an eerie feeling that time is moving backward. With your comment, I can bet with my salary that it has been more than two years since you visited the state last. I will be disappointed in you if all the facts you know about the state is what you read online. You may be right. I usually don't put northern states into consideration because I know little or nothing about those places. Having said that, Ebonyi is one of the most poorly governed states. |

Hello everyone, its good to know that this thread is still growing. All thanks to spyder and everyone that has been instrumental to its success. As for the thread being moved to the travel section, as much as the thread is better off in the politics section due to the traffic there, it equally falls within the jurisdiction of the travel section. But I will see what I can do to get it back to the politics section but I'm promising anything. If you noticed, I've not been active on Nairaland like I used to be for the past one year. So, I'm lost as to why this thread was moved here. Anyways, ka'm juo ajuju and get back to you guys. Ndewo nu. |

There's no way Osun should be on that list except the list is increased to maybe 10. Osun is no doubt not sufficiently managed but that does not means its as bad as the worst states in Nigeria. I agree with Abia and Bornu. Ebonyi and Ekiti should also make the longer list with Kogi and Benue jostling for top spot. |

It's really a pain arguing with English fans. Shut it with the most competitive league bulshit. When you have a bunch of average teams playing each other, why wont you term it competitive. Just maybe the Nigerian league is the most competitive league in the world.
As for the comparison, its obvious Neymar is a better player as stats don't lie. |

Looking at thiabour group again send shivers down my spine. Our best bet seems to be the game against Australia as Sweden and the US in that order are our biggest threat. It could have been easier for UA to beat the US but I want to believe that playing in Canada gives the US some form of home advantage. I may be wrong though or I hope I'm wrong. I wish the girls sha. At least, we can get a win and a draw or two, we will scale through. |

The average IQ quotient of a Nigerian is low and that's why they're not given to overly technical stuff. But if everyday gossip and beer parlor political discussions, they will sit down, open their dirty yansh and talk. That's why the politics section has been taken over by little noisy children who think politics is a shouting match. No wonder most of the sane and articulate contributors have left the seen. As for technology, things will only get better when the Nigerian educational system looks up. You tech bloggers aint doing anything wrong. Nigerians aren't just there yet. |

Hotstepper: When my hubby thought I spend a lot on feeding, I started writing down every single thing I buy even if na 5 naira and at the end of the month, I will present it to him. Infact, there was a time he went to the market to buy stuff and came back.and told.me na wah oo, everything is so expensive and feeding went from 30k to 50k cuz sometimes i.will put 1 fish instead of 2. At a point he started saying ' I won't suffer to make money and suffer to eat it' lol. Even at that, he has bought lands and will soon start building yet he's training his siblings nd taking care of his mum.
I.dont think any woman won't want good thing for her family like owning their own house etc. I still think you have to discuss with your wife. Mind you, I cook soup everyday cuz no light where we are etc.
We also have education fund for our kids for uni with put money every month. I don't get any allowance nd it's from the feeding that I use to do my hair but then we don't live in expensive and big city Is this in Canada? |

The most annoying fights are those that involve siblings because all you can do is to shout on top of your voice, jump around the house bragging about how animalistic you can be when annoyed but you can break bottle on anyone's head because they're siblings. I was a household warrior when I was younger as all my 3 siblings were girls who would join forces to unleash terror on the only boy in the house. I now see where the whole femism ish emanated from. |

Mynd44: Under GEJ, Vice President, Senate President and Speaker were from the North. Add the Minister for Justice, NSA, Defence minister and SGF were from the "North" how come this same person did not talk about alleged marginalization? But suddenly his party wont be governing and he wants to talk right?
Allow the House of Reps members do what they did in 2011. Choose their own members.
Note: The APC has not announced any zonning formulae. They have not mentioned it just people who are interested in running are running Under GEJ, the speaker was supposed to come from the SW but we know what happened. It's not an issue what APC ends up doing. I'm only of the opinion that they should do the honorable thing of they're going the zoning route. |
Politics › Re: Locating Nigeria's Four Topmost Offices In One Area Untenable - Uduaghan by Afam4eva(m): 3:45pm On May 19, 2015 |
Mynd44: I believe in something else. Merit.
I am tired of this bullcrap rotation. If a senator wants to lead the senate and he plays his politics right, let his colleagues decide who leads them the same way Nigerian decided who leads then.
Plus how does the working of the APC concern the person of the Delta state governor? Is he a member of the APC? These positions are not for positions in APC but Nigeria. So, it concerns any Nigerian who cares how the positions are shared. Just like you, I care more for merit than anything else but if the people at APC says they're sharing positions to different regions, they have to do it properly. How can 3 important positions be in the north. Imagine if Jonathan was president, an Igbo man senate president and Yoruba man, speaker. What do you think will be happening right now? Won't they make Nigeria ungovernable? But now its the north and we're being told about how the north is not the same. Some of us are not fools and I find it strange that some of you southerners are buying into their obvious tricks because you stand something to gain from it. |
Politics › Re: Locating Nigeria's Four Topmost Offices In One Area Untenable - Uduaghan by Afam4eva(m): 3:26pm On May 19, 2015 |
Mynd44: I guess the Delta state governor is part of the ignorant people who sees the North as one zone and not three different geopolitical zones.
Nigeria and Ignorance go side by side When they were saying that presidency must come back to the north, were they not aware that the south had 3 regions and can afford to rule for 24 years at a stretch. As much as I'm not so concerned about how they intend to share their spoils of war, it's commonsensical that if the presidency goes to the north, the deputy should come from a region in the south while the senate presidency goes to another zone in either the North or South and then the house of reps speakers goes to another zone. |
