PoliticsRe: Proposed National Conference: A Case For Kwara State by Afam4eva(m): 8:46am On Oct 21, 2013
I wish Jarus and other Kwarans would lend a voice to this issue. I think it's their choice to make and not anyone else telling them that they're not Yoruba. It's only someone with superiority complex in the Yoruba fraternity that will tell another Yoruba man what he is and what he's not. Is an Ijebu more Yoruba than an Offa native? Abi, is South-West the default Yoruba territory?
PoliticsRe: Tinubu Orders Dr Ngige To Reconcile With Wife by Afam4eva(m): 11:28pm On Oct 20, 2013
Was it not the same Ngige that introduced his wife at his campaign in Onitsha. Who are those writing all these depressing lies.

Desola: but Kwarans are not part of the Yoruba region now, are they? Kwara is a conquered territory now and except you are willing to shed your blood to break it away, it would forever remain so. The only people who can determine where they belong are the indigenes of that area itself. As it stands now, it not only belongs to the Yorubas but the Hausas too and the mixed Yoruba/Fulanis are saying they want the status quo to remain.

Who are you to tell them otherwise?
I guess the Yorubas region you mean is the south west region that was created by the government.

Desola: Omo Nna!

My position isn't solely based on Kwarans mode of dressing. I have conversed with a number of 'Yoruba' Kwarans, both online and off it and the view I get is that in as much as they can trace their origin to Ife and perhaps speak better Yoruba than myself, they seem not to be able to divorce themselves from the Fulani/Hausa culture. They are torn, so to say. Okay if we are to disregard the mode of dressing, how about religion? How about political allegiance? This culture of going to the emir's palace for Salah meal is not prevalent in the Yoruba culture, neither do we follow our leaders sheepishly like they do. You want us to disregard Saraki's declaration of being Fulani, yet these same 'Yoruba' Kwarans hold the Saraki family in high esteem and would do the family's bidding as directed. Yorubas hold their obas in high esteem. Nevertheless, they are also quick to criticize and voice out against nepotism, inequality, unfairness and injustice. We respect our leaders but do not worship them. This I cannot say about Kwarans.

We cannot fight to save those who do not see themselves as being in captivity. They are fine just the way things are, at least it appears so. They are torn and something tells me that if push comes to shove, (given that muslims and I mean staunch muslims which most Kwarans are pledge allegiance to their faith before their ethnicity) they would go with the devil they know. It is hoped that it would be easier for them that way.
This is ignorant(no offense)...

What's Yoruba culture and religion. So, the Yorubas that are Christians and Muslims today are not Yorubas? Who're you to determine what is Yoruba and what is not Yoruba?

I'm surprised that Rangers isn't going for the confederations cup despite making it to 4th place. How the hell did Warri wolves make it?

lertee: Let's say in politics, you allign with where you are wanted more. If they allign with the west, politically they will be powerless cos the core south western prts will dominate.
There is confusion in ilorin as to where they belong due to history as well as the geo-political sharing which makes kwara fall to the North central.
Infact the major question should be“where will kwara, kogi, benue, nasarawa fall should Nigeria separates”
Kwara or Kogi can fall anywhere and still retain their heritage. Afterall there are Yoruba folks in Benin Republic. Has that stopped them from being Yorubas? Who says the Yorubas in Nigeria are more Yoruba than those in Benin or those in the South-West are more Yorubas than those in Kwara or Kogi? In as much as Nigeria would most likely be divided along tribal lines, it's not in totality as some sub-tribes may not go with their fellow tribesmen.

Promhize: She went to benin first before Abuja
She first landed in Lagos and immediately took a flight straight to Abuja and remained there till today when she's supposed to fly out. As i'm talking to you, she's at the airport waiting to board.
PoliticsRe: Proposed National Conference: A Case For Kwara State by Afam4eva(m): 10:42pm On Oct 20, 2013
Most Ilorin folks that i have come across call themselves Yorubas though they have this northern disposition to them. I think the problem is mostly with their elites who would rather align with the north both politically and even culturally. I have heard the utterances of people like Bukola Saraki and other Kwara leaders and they're not disposed to the hole Yoruba thingy. That's why i'm concerned about how those that will represent the various ethnic groups will be chosen.
CelebritiesRe: Oshiomhole Hosts BBA Dillish As She Visits Edo State by Afam4eva(m): 10:36pm On Oct 20, 2013
THis story is false as Dillish was in Abuja throughout her stay in Nigeria and she's currently in MMA as we speak to take off back to her native Namibia. Meanwhile, Oshiomole was in Ibadan for the most part that Dillish was in Abuja, so there's no way they could have met. These ogbanje bloggers should stop carrying false news.

philfearon: I know the table should be:
Kano Pillars 63pts
Enyimba 62pts,
with the current scores now,so who nd who are occupying the third and fourth position right now?
Since Rangers is currently beating El Kanemi at home, i think they'll take over the 4th spot and get a continental ticket.

Ngwakwe: I'm curious, guilty of what exactly?

You are not taken the various statements by NCAA and FAAN into consideration hence your opinions are weird and lack merit.
There are counter opinions, that's why i said it should be investigated thoroughly. You can't just come out and say she's innocent or guilty. You can't just take the words of the accused as gospel. Imagine a boy being charged with murder and his mother says he's innocent and we're just meant to believe his mother. Duh, it's his mother.

PoliticsRe: Jonathan Under-pressure To Sack Stella Oduah by Afam4eva(m): 1:24pm On Oct 20, 2013
Ngwakwe: She don't have any question to answer and will not face any stupid inquiry because of smokescreen by the opposition and Haters.
Are you saying even if she's guilty, that she has nothing to answer? Like seriously? Is this how we want to move the country forward? So, our leaders should just do as they please and get away with it? Are you supporting corruption?
PoliticsRe: Jonathan Under-pressure To Sack Stella Oduah by Afam4eva(m): 1:22pm On Oct 20, 2013
@Ngakwe
Lest i forget, by immoral, i mean that there are actions that are just not right. For intance, if there's a law that the first male child in every family should be killed by the government. It can be termed and immoral act but is not illegal because the constitution gives the government that power. We have always clamored against the astronomical spending on overhead in government ranging from the president's feeding allowances to the allowances of the senators and house of reps members and in as much as these actions are immoral cos a lot of Nigerian are living in squalor while our leaders are living large, they cannot be prosecuted for it cos the constitution gives them that right.
PoliticsRe: Jonathan Under-pressure To Sack Stella Oduah by Afam4eva(m): 1:15pm On Oct 20, 2013
Ngwakwe: Can you explain what you mean by immoral?

Like subjecting her life to danger like Dora Akunyelu did to her bodyguards who were killed like chickens? Remember what saved Dora was the car and nothing more.

Don't ever form your opinion based on bandwagonism or opposition gossips.

The NCAA/ FAAN has confirmed that the cars were budgeted for and from the so-called documents released, due process were followed.

What again is your question, The Price? Can you remember, the price of 10.2MW for Nhuhhuh and one kilometre of road for N1,000,000,000.

The bottom line is, she is being witch-hunt by the South Westerners because of their ulterior motives. I have worked in six multi-national companies and some indigenous oil companies in Nigeria and have a first hand knowledge of what the SWerterners do and are still doing till this day.

Afam, don't listen to jargon, just apply wisdom to see the invisible handwriting.
Whether she's being witch-hunted by anyone shouldn't suffice. We should judge this case based on it's merits or demerits. Let her be given a fair hearing and if it's found that she's guilty then she has to pay for it. Though i'm hoping she comes out innocent.

It's sad that Fashola has not used the same vigor he used in sanitizing some sectors in Lagos to chase away these agberos. Could it be that he's paying lip service to their being uprooted from the society?

PoliticsRe: Jonathan Under-pressure To Sack Stella Oduah by Afam4eva(m): 9:47am On Oct 20, 2013
naptu2: I don't believe that she should be summarily dismissed, rather I think that there should be an open investigation. Remember that she is presumed innocent until proven guilty and her right to fair hearing must be respected.

Therefore, I believe that her fate should depend on the result of an independent, fair and open investigation that should answer the following questions:

1) Was she entitled to the cars?

2) Was it right for the NCAA to procure the cars for her?

3) Was the procurement done according to procurement regulations (competitive bidding, etc)?

4) Was the price of the cars inflated?
These are the questions i've been asking that no one seems to be answering. Granted the cost of those cars seem exorbitant but we have to know for sure that it was not budgeted for just like the millions budgeted everyday for the president's food. There's a difference between morality and criminality. What Oduah has done may be immoral but it may be backed up by law.

It's possible to sleep with one's child. The question you should be asking is, is it encouraged?
