The fact that you felt you were doing the right thing since your bike was a private one as opposed to a public one, i think the best you should have done was to explain to the security man when he ordered you not to pack there. Instead you called his bluff and went inside. He's the security man and determines what happens as far as his security jurisdiction goes whether or not he was brash about it.

If u are travelling from Abuja, pls dont go thru any of the airports, Calabar of Enugu because u have to sit for another 6 to 7 hrs on a bad road b4 u get to the resort(not ranch the name has changed). That was my mistake, I wasted money flying to Calabar, my thought was that since it is in Cross River, it will be close to Calabar, but this is not so even in my opinion the culture and life style of the people in that place is more of Benue than Calabar.
Simply get a car hire that will take u thru Makurdi/Ogoja route in 6/7 hrs.
Honestly, your family deserve a treat in that place at least once in your lifetime.

Enugu is also closer to Obudu than Calabar.

I think Professor Ben Nwabueze is just using his ailment as an excuse. I think the reason why he opted out is because he feels he was sorta demoted. How can the president appoint a certain Senator Okurunmi to head such a commitee that prof Nwabueze is a member? It's similar to what happened in 1979 when Obasanjo setup a similar commitee and asked the last professor Rotimi Williams to head when Awolowo was a member of the same commitee and Awolowo also opted out.

I thought i had educated this ignorance but it seems some people need more schooling. No zone that has produced the presidency did so as a result of any ogbanje strategy. These things only exist in your minds. What did Jonathan or his people do before he became president? You think he would have become president had Yaradua being alive? Did Obasanjo become president because the Yorubas had a game plan? Yorubas supported Olu Falae instead and never had a hand in Obasanjo's election. An Igbo, Idoma, TIV, kanuri president will be when the powers that be want it to be. You Nigerians have no say in these things. You're just a pencil in the hands of the architects. These architects care not where a candidate comes from but about how a candidate can protect their interest in government.

The day Nigerians start doing door to door medical test just know that something is wrong. Is it not the same people that will not pay attention to you when you stand up and go to a hospital and all of a sudden they're entering your bedroom to conduct a test on you. Which kain ogbanje award be that wey person no dey win? Even Nobel prize is given every time. There's no such thing as "No one deserved to win". Common sense should tell to award it to who deserves it more even if the list of competitors is mediocre. I guess that money is too much for them to just give away like that.
