SIR cum a lot:It's possible. But do people all over the world associate Nigeria with churches? I doubt that very much. |
Some people don't get the drift. Nobody is talking of how educated Nigerians are how Nigeria is the most developing country bla bla bla. I'm not talking about growth or development indices. We're simply talking of what positive thing people remember when they hear NIGERIA. |
onila: hardworking, highly educated peopleNigeria is not the only country with hardworking and highly educated people. Are NIgerians more educated than South Africans or Ghanians? I never said countries like Jamaica don't have their downside. I was referring to positives and they're known for their Music and their prowess in sports. |
manny4life: I like my president, always humble.I thought you were from Nnewi. kekwanu nke bu "I like my president". Are you referring to Jonathan? |
What did the organizers give as the answer? |
Does Patience wield any political power. Why does she compare herself with Beyoncee. |
Civory: You have not ruminated well enough if not you would have known that Nigerians are known for their resilience and strong determination and patience and I think those are marvelous qualities tooResillience and strong determination that hasn't produced results for the country. This is obviously a farce. |
I can only see two pictures of Awka. The others are pictures of isolated buildings and a hospital. We need more pictures of the streets and skyline. But from the two first pictures, it looks ok and still growing. |
speedyboi: Copy cats ![]() |
I've been ruminating as to why a country with a supposed population of over 150 million is not known for anything positive. I'm not even here to discuss or espouse the negatives. I really want to know why we're not even known as a country that makes chewing stick or groundnut or even dunlop slippers. Even some countries with a few million people are known for something. Brazil is a country that's a little more populated than Nigeria but it's known for a lot of things. First and Foremost, when Football(Soccer) is mentioned, the first country that comes to mind is Brazil. Football is like a religion in Brazil and Brazilians follow this sport religiously and they're known all over the world for it. Football is to Brazil as Kung Fu is to China. It's that synonymous. Brazil is also known for it's wonderful beaches and drop dead gorgeous females and gallivant the beautiful beach side of Copacabana and other famous beaches in Rio De janeiro and all over Brazil and this has endeared this country as one of the top tourism destinations in the world. Jamaica is a country of over 2 million people which is probably the size of the smallest state out of the 36 states and FCT that we have yet this very small country is know first and foremost for the Ragae Genre or music and Bob Marley is the face of the music and is known all over the world. This same small country has now replaced the USA to become the sprint champions. Whenever you think of the sprints, you think Jamaica with the likes of Usain Bolt and Shelly Ann Fraser Pryce. Jamaica is also known as a tourist destination just like it's Caribbean neighbors. Finland: if not for anything, Finland is known for the Nokia brand. Australia: the most popular shoe polish in the world or at least in Nigeria is Kiwi. This brand originates from Australia and when you think about Australia apart from it's advancement in other fields, this name will come to mind. Kenya: Even here in Africa, we have countries like Kenya that are known for their wildlife reserves and they get millions of tourist year in year out from it. Great Britain is known for it's Monarchical institution and it has created a brand out of the royal family of which the Queen is the head and the Queen is respected all over the world and she's even the head of a handful of countries. South Africa is the most advanced country in Africa but let's not dwell on that. This country if not for anything is known for Mandela, a Nobelk prize for peace winner and one of the most respected statesmen living or dead. Mexico is known for Coffee and Tequilla if not anything. India is known for it's tradition and religion and recently in the field of medicine and ICT, it's recognized the world over. I hereby ask again, what is Nigeria known for? Our number one sports in football and one will think that since we've spend a lot of time and resources on this one sport that we're supposed to have probably won the world cup but no. if not that we just recently won the African cup of Nations, our football was recently at it's lowest ebb and it's a shame for a country that has football as it's national sports. Why don't we try to carve a niche for ourselves and be known for one thing good. I mean, just one thing. It's a shame of a country this big not to be recognized for anything positive no matter how minute but is recognized in a lot of negative vices. |
Sharpo1: I hope Nigeria should be put together with SpainNo, we should meet Spain in the semis or the final. |
Olamagnifico: Hahahaha ARE YOU THE NEW REUBEN ABATI.... NO YORUBA MAN WILL LAUGH AT S0ME1 DAT JUST RECOVER FR0M ILLNESS... GBA BEE... Just STOP DISGUISING... YOU ARE HATER AND YOU KN0W DATIf you say so. |
Mazi_Omenuko: MCL, CTL and PBS has knocked them out of the market at PH and environs. With N2,100 per month, you have unlimited viewership of Epl, champs league and other entertaining channels.Nna, idikwa sure? With N2100 per month? |
Lordave: seems like you ate Tinubu infected beans this afternoon. It's actually true. Tinubu is starting his own cable using the TVC platform. I also heard he's going to buy the premiership rights. |
yemi2plus: TeamGOTVI hope you know GOTV is owned by DSTV. |
People are complaining of their exorbitant price with little value and they're still increasing it. I can't wait for Tinubu's own cable to kick off. |
^^ Chai, i know that movie oo...let me think... |
Italiano1: Afam, you do know that if you are purposely trolling this thread, then it is very unbecoming of a Mod.Ohh, so now it's trolling. I was just trying to give some of you a taste of your own medicine. if it was Jonathan, you folks would have had a million and one negative things to say about his return. You guys should take it easy on the president. He's human and is by no means perfect. Btw, I want to use this opportunity to specially welcome back the Jagaban of Borgu Kingdom and the Asiwaju of Lagos. This man is a great man irrespective of what some people may say. |
Italiano1: What exactly are you trying to say? Very petty argument Afam. What did you expect him to do? To kneel down and kiss the ground? At least he should bend down small as a leader that he is. is this how he wants APC to rule Nigeria? Pls, let's tell ourselves the truth. I'm even surprised at the color of lace he wore. That's the height of disrespect to the ordinary Nigerian. |
Katsumoto: Your comment had nothing to do with what happened at the airport. Read your comment again. Think before you comment Afam.Pls, let's tell ourselves the truth. is the way he's standing on the plane, the way a leader should be standing? Can't he bend a little bit to show some respect and humility to those at the airport? If we must move Nigeria forward, we must tell ourselves the truth. |
Katsumoto: Was this an attempt at humour or a display of moronic thinking? So, you see nothing wrong in what transpired at the airport and you want Nigeria to move forward? SMH |
Why is he waving to the crowd btw, is he bribing them to vote for APC? ![]() How much did they spend toi sponsir those people at the ariport. This is what we're talking about. People are dying and you're sponsoring people to the airport to welcome Tinubu ![]() Is that Timberland shoe that tinubu is wearing? Why can't our leaders be simple. They spend money with reckless abandon ![]() |
How can the leader of the opposition come back 3 days after Nigeria's independence and this are the people that want to rule Nigeria ![]() Btw, who owns that jet. is this how they're going to fleece the treasury when they get there ?Why should the airline land in Lagos. is Lagos the capital of Nigeria? When will these progressives start obeying the constitution ![]() |
GbagaunDetector: Why don't you "releases" this to neighbours firstLol Do you know the " " and "S" alphabets are next to each other on a keyboard? |
I'll give it to Clarence Peters. |
Obasanjo should have releases Bakkasi earlier. This referee go use bakassi vex deal with us. Chei. |
