FoodRe: Do You Pray Before Eating? by Afam4eva(m): 8:44pm On Sep 25, 2013
I can't remember when last i prayed before eating. Even before when i used to pray before eating, it was a mere formality. I pray God forgives me.
EducationRe: Rivers Police Stop Teachers From Collecting Posting Letters by Afam4eva(m): 8:41pm On Sep 25, 2013
hopilo: In this technology age people still stay in long line under sun or rain to collect posting letter? Why are we still backward? Emails, text messages would have done the job. Orientation should be in the school you are posted to, not to get crowd on the road and cause traffic around the stadium area. Abi na stunt to show I create teacher work give 13000 people. Primitive
If the employed are not gathered in one place, how will people know that the government is working?
SportsRe: Why Is The Coach Always Blamed For The Incompetence Of The Players by Afam4eva(m): 6:56pm On Sep 25, 2013
groovie: bros no be coach dey release money to get the best legs. An example is the massive exodus of strikers from laliga to other leagues where they offer bigger pay.the coach can only manage the situation.
By "best legs", i meant relatively the resources that they have. If you want to buy a players for $60 million, be very sure that the player is worth that much and not waste the money for a player that won't add a $60 million value to the team.
SportsRe: Ethiopia To Play Super Eagles On October 13th by Afam4eva(m): 6:50pm On Sep 25, 2013
zynzyn: There we go with away draw mentality again. Why can't we win away like other strong african nations? undecided

A draw in Ethiopia still puts eagles under pressure in the 2nd leg!

A failure to win in Ethiopia would be poor! angry
No, it wouldn't. If we can win then let's win. But don't you think a draw is better than a loss?
RomanceRe: "Love Doesn't Cost A Thing" Is A Lie! by Afam4eva(m): 6:20pm On Sep 25, 2013
There's no such thing as love. Let's get that clear. What we call love is simply fondness.
PoliticsRe: Oct 1st- Nigeria Will Be 53yrs...how Do You Rate Our Country??? by Afam4eva(m): 6:16pm On Sep 25, 2013
There's a difference between when Nigerian gained independence and Nigeria's age. Nigeria was not born in October 1, 1960. Let's get that clear.

Congrats to the people's elephant. I watched the first half. What was the final score?
PoliticsRe: Critics Have Been Unfair To Governor Theodore Orji by Afam4eva(m): 6:04pm On Sep 25, 2013
Sincere 9gerian: I'm more particular about the pitch. Which do you think is better?
The Enyimba pitch is not bad. It might be slightly better than that of Calabar.
PoliticsRe: Critics Have Been Unfair To Governor Theodore Orji by Afam4eva(m): 5:58pm On Sep 25, 2013
Sincere 9gerian: So between the Aba pitch and that of Calabar, where the Super Eagles play, which is better?
The Aba Township stadium is bigger but as it stands, the Calabar stadium is more TV friendly. The Aba Township stadium needs renovation to make it compete with the likes of Abuja national Stadium, Teslim Balogun Stadium and Nnamdi Azikiwe stadium.
PoliticsRe: Critics Have Been Unfair To Governor Theodore Orji by Afam4eva(m): 5:48pm On Sep 25, 2013
I'm also watching the match live and i think the pitch is an embarrassment to pitches all over the world. Even if the pitch is better than that of Barcelona, is that why we should give Theo Orji a break? That guy is an embarrassment and will go down in history as one of the worst governors that Nigeria has ever produced.

Swaginton: Yesterday was perhaps a historic day in the world of English football.am not just talking about the mauling of manchester united by their rivals, manchester city(frankly I don't believe manchester united should be given the privilege of being tagged as manchester city's rivals).

It was also the last day paulo di canio presided as sunderland's manager.poor canio*sighs.

Anyways,as I woke up to be greeted by the shocking yet expectant news of his sack while I was still recovering from d harsh reality of man u's game yesterday.

I began to wonder;why is the coach always the first to be blamed?.moyes himself is already under immense pressure.don't the players themselves have any sense of responsibility?.I personally believe(I stand to be corrected though) that sometimes players put up underwhelming performances either to get their coaches sacked or to force their out of their clubs so why are the coaches always at the receiving end?
Why should a coach have an incompetent player in his team in the first place? It's the duty of the coach to get the very best legs for his team and also bring out the best in his players even if they're above average players. If that's not the duty of a coach then i wonder what is. Else, teams will be playing without coaches.
SportsRe: Ethiopia To Play Super Eagles On October 13th by Afam4eva(m): 5:24pm On Sep 25, 2013
We're in the world cup already. All we have to do is get ab draw in Addis-Ababa and then wrap it up in Calabar.

SportsRe: Nigeria Pick Date, Nov. 16, For World Cup Playoff Against Ethiopia by Afam4eva(m): 4:49pm On Sep 24, 2013
CFCfan: Anyway, for Aba to host any international match, the environment has to be totally cleaned up, and the stadium upgraded. The absence of an airport shouldn't be a problem as the Uyo, Owerri and Port Harcourt airports are close by.
You're right. But i won't hold my breadth on that one cos that state has one of the most clueless governors in Nigeria. He probably doesn't know the importance of hosting an event such as that. The Aba Township stadium has the size but it's often disgusting to look at and therefore not TV friendly. It needs to undergo a massive renovation that will put it at a top position in Nigeria as far as stadiums are concerned. I'm earnestly waiting for the day when SE states will be hosting events like there's no tomorrow.

CFCfan: ^^
The Nnamdi Azikiwe stadium is of FIFA standard, and can therefore host the Eagles. I guess the NFF still remembers the 1-3 loss that the Flying Eagles suffered in the hands of Mali in "Nigeria 99" grin
It's not about the standard of the stadium but the willingless of the governors to drop money. There was a time that almost all age grade and female National teams were playing in the mini stadiums in Delta state. At some point it was Ogun state that was hosting a lot of those matches and it was because the governors at teh time were ready to showcase their state by hosting events. It's similar to what Bayelsa is doing with Beauty pageants, movie and music Award ceremonies. I think SE governors need to step up to the plate.
SportsRe: Nigeria Pick Date, Nov. 16, For World Cup Playoff Against Ethiopia by Afam4eva(m): 4:29pm On Sep 24, 2013
Dike Chimezie: I have beem wondering why SE matches are never played in d South eastern state.Isn't there stadiums good enough for d standard of SE in d entire south eastern states? In terms of fans turn out,I strongly believe that NFF knows very well that d average easterner is a die-hard SE fan.
Nevertheless,Calabar,Lagos,Kaduna are also good venues.Surprisingly d SE have always recorded a full stadium in d latter.
If we must play in Abuja, let it be a friendly match.
Goodluck to my darling SUPER EAGLES.
I've always asked myself that question too but the reason is not far fetched. The matches are hosted in places where they receive the support of the governor there and truth be told, the SE governors don't just seem interested in hosting events for whatever reason and i think it's utterly shameful. The only person that i see hosting the super eagles in the near future is Rochas cos he's the only one that seem to have that disposition.
PoliticsRe: South Africa IN PANIC Over Nigerian Economic Surge - New Report. by Afam4eva(m): 3:55pm On Sep 24, 2013
HNosegbe: Like I've always said, there's no doubt that SOUTHERN Nigeria will eventually overtake South Africa to become Africa's largest economy. That is almost as certain as China overtaking the US on the world stage.

My concern remains the long-term survival of the entity called NIGERIA as we know it.

The rot in our politics, the prospect of extremely divisive elections in 2015, a substandard education and healthcare system, stinking corruption and weak institutions are EXTREMELY serious problems.

Southern Nigeria is doing just fine. It's the corporate existence of the Nigerian state that concerns me.
I never knew there was a country called Southern-Nigeria but i'll definitely love to see such a country. I think i clamored for it some years back when i suggested Asaba as the capital.

CFCfan: ^^^
I believe Abuja will be a better venue for Nigeria's game against Ethiopia because of it's 60,000 seated capacity. Even if 'only' 40,000 fans show up, it will surely be an intimidating arena to the Ethiopians.
Have you ever watched a match played by SE in Abuja? The attendance is usually an embarrassment. Don't be deceived by the number of seats. Abuja has no football culture and brings nothing to the table when super eagles plays there. Instead, the match should be played in Lagos.
SportsRe: Nigeria Pick Date, Nov. 16, For World Cup Playoff Against Ethiopia by Afam4eva(m): 3:39pm On Sep 24, 2013
I never knew teams were allowed to pick the date for an encounter in a world cup play off. It just doesn't sound right.

I think the NFA should stick with the UJ Esuene stadium for this last fixture and then try other venues like the NNamdi Azikiwe stadium in Enugu and the Teslim Balogun stadium in Lagos. I'll also like to see a match in Aba Township stadium. Those guys are very crazy about football.
