RomanceRe: How Come Most Igbo Men Dont Date Yoruba Girls by Afam4eva(m): 4:33pm On Sep 28, 2017
MyNewJackeT:
Yoruba men love igbo girls but I'm yet to see an igbo guy date a Yoruba girl, I'm not talking about celebrity weddings I mean for real.

how come igbo guys don't love Yoruba girls.
This is a very germane question and i'll answer it the best way that i can.

It's not true that Igbo guys don't date or marry Yoruba girls though it's not as common as Igbo girls marrying Yoruba guys.

I think it's because they see a lot of the wife qualities in their own women (Igbo) and as such rarely go outside and even when they do, they go for people that share a lot of traits with Igbos girl (eg Efik/Ibibio etc).
Christianity EtcRe: Is A Gospel Song Or Preaching Spiritual Or Just Emotional? by Afam4eva(op): 3:18pm On Sep 28, 2017
obisco4u:
It is 100% emotional. If you read this book; The Art of Public Speaking by Dale Carnagey, you'll discover the principles pastors apply to their message delivery. Same applies to music. A song with an emotional melody and lyrics will have the same effect be it gospel or contemporary.
Good input.

PoliticsRe: 'this Is An Igbo Wedding, We Do Not Want A Yoruba Band Here’ - Tochukwu Ezukanma by Afam4eva(m): 2:52pm On Sep 27, 2017
I think the OP is spot on and narrows my exact sentiments. Nobody is blameless, not eve the minority tribes. I have always said that Igbos have done as much harm to Nigeria as other ethnic groups. However, it doesn't annul the present reality of how Igbos are treated such that if Hausas were in our shoes, they will also call for a fair game. It is human nature.

Pronaco was here before and they failed. There is nothing new they are bringing on board. We are tired of these old people that keep retrogressing Nigeria.
You are not tired of Buhari but you're tired of people that don't hold any political position, who are doing it just for the betterment of the country.

I think it's high time they came out to tell us what exactly is causing the disaffection between them. I don't quite agree with the notion that's its because they were against Peter marrying Lola because she's Yoruba or because she's older than him. Let's have something more tenable.
PoliticsRe: Biafra: Reno Omokri Uses P-square Fight To Make Case Against Secessionist by Afam4eva(m): 2:12pm On Sep 26, 2017
And the quantum idiocy continues. What concerns the fight between brothers that has been ongoing for thousands of years with the call for secession?

Ishilove:
Please direct me to what I initially wrote. I can't find it neither can I remember it.
Ishilove:
Don't let my father hear you. He will break ya head hecause he has declared to all and sundry that he is Ukwuani, not igbo. grin

But if we are to look at it holistically, the Ukwuani are part of the Igbo although we have long since denied this.

What is identity? "We see ourselves as multitudes' wrote the psychologist Walt Whitman. In other words, in that innate part of our psyches, we are who we say we are, even if it is different from how the world sees us.

Take for example, in a plane full of white people, you and another fellow are the only black people on board, you will find yourself subconsciously gravitating towards that black person because a bond has been formed based on your racial identities. The plane passengers see two black people, the black people each other as 'brothers'.

Same with the Ukwuani. They have long rejected the ethnic nomenclature 'Igbo', even if the facts state otherwise. A core aspect of us have embraced the notion that we are a separate ethnic group and thus, we are who we say we are.

CultureRe: Delta Igbos by Afam4eva(m): 9:03pm On Sep 25, 2017
The only thing worse than people who deny being Igbo are those who force them using insults, intimidation and cyber bullying. If Igbo was a company, we would have definitely filed for bankruptcy because of the annoying idiotic elements we have in our midst who have even made being Igbo a herculean task. They couldn't even sit and read what Ishilove wrote initially and digest him like regular humans. Tufiakwa unu.

Fingerprinter:
You sure want me to drop the name of my village here. I'm friends with him on Facebook, and yes, his profile reads that he's from Afikpo. Same way my own profile reads that I'm from Abakaliki, which is not true. For some reasons, Facebook identifies my community as some community in Rivers state. So, what most people do is to choose the nearest community when filling their Facebook profile. The same thing that the man did.
That makes sense.

Prof. Obini Ekpe is from my very village in Ebonyi state and not from Afikpo.
Confirm if it's the man in that facebook profile because according to the profile, he is from Afikpo.
PoliticsRe: About 'Ebonyi /Igbo Muslims ' by Afam4eva(m): 8:25pm On Sep 25, 2017
@topic
I think it's angreed fact that there are probably more Igbo muslims in Ebonyi than anywhere else in the south east. However, nobody seems to be paying attention to the fact that there's also a sizeable Igbo muslim population in the Igbo speaking part of Delta state particularly around Ibuzor.
PoliticsRe: About 'Ebonyi /Igbo Muslims ' by Afam4eva(m): 8:23pm On Sep 25, 2017
Fingerprinter:
I have seen an Igbo Muslim before, though he's not even from the Afikpo that everybody is saying. But he's from Ebonyi state. I won't really say that the man is a Muslim per se, because, today he is a Muslim, and the next day he claims Jehovah's witness. He even once gave his uncompleted building to members of Jehovah's witness to use as a temporary meeting point when the former hadn't completed their meeting hall.
This man has completed that his village house now and there is a mini mosque in front. Did I mention that he gave all his children Islamic names? Plus, people only see him as an opportunistic Muslim and nothing.
You can easily trace the man if I drop his name here. He's Prof. Obini Ekpe. A professor of physics in Ebonyi state university.
if it's this man you're talking about which i think it is, then he'e actually from Afikpo.

Buhari step foot in the south east? Since he became president, he has clearly avoided stepping foot in the SE and SS and i don't think he will do so till he leaves office. Except he proves me wrong.

Christianity EtcRe: Why Do Nigerian Girls Complain About Deeper Life Weddings? by Afam4eva(m): 6:05pm On Sep 25, 2017
Every sane human being should reject deeper life weddings. Even though i never wedded there, i experienced a lot of deeper life weddings as a guest. From the uninspiring printing gown worn by the gown to the nwa teacher tailored suit coat worn by the groom and the fact that food is never enough. The most annoying thing is that after the church wedding you all the guests have to match begind the couple and singing this song...

I'm gong to meet the lord
Where he goeth, i will go
Where he liveth, i will live
His people shall be mine
bla bla bla

No, they were a separate company until they were both over by Web4Africa, so the two companies are owned by the same persn.
