Niger Delta Militants have warned President Muhammadu Buhari to meet the demands of #EndSARS protesters or they will attack.

The coalition of nine renegade militant groups in the Niger-Delta region made this known in support of ongoing #EndSARS protests across the country.

They stated that they are ready to resume hostilities, attack oil and gas facilities, if the Federal Government fails to meet the demands of protesting Nigerian youths.

The militants under the aegis of the Reformed Niger Delta Avengers, RNDA, which held an emergency meeting in Delta state, also announced their preparedness to disavow the ceasefire accord with the Federal Government and engage military forces.

Ex-president, Olusegun Obasanjo has advised president Buhari to let the youths know that he understands their plight as #EndSARS protests heighten across Nigeria.

According to the ex-president, Buhari should urgently address the demands of the protesting youths, and show that his administration understands their plight.

Obasanjo, who said this in Ile Ife, during a visit to Ooni of Ife, Oba Adeyeye Ogunwusi palace, noted that, the youths are frustrated due to lack of opportunities.

He said, “More than 65 percent of our population are between the ages of 18 and 30. They are not only struggling to acquire education, they are also aspiring for the best that life can offer them.

“Some of them didn’t even get educated while those who are educated are getting frustrated because of lack of opportunities. We must realize that the lid on the boiling steam would have to be removed.

“But, I believe that there are windows of opportunity which the government can explore to show that it cares about the people’s welfare, especially the youths, as the father of the country and particularly, as the father of the youth.

The governor of Lagos state, Babajide Sanwo-Olu has called for a pause on the ongoing #EndSARS protest in order for the government to work in meeting the youth’s demands.

The #Endsars movement is a fight against police brutality and extra-judicial killing in the country and has been on for more than 10 days nationwide.

In a statement titled, ‘Leave The Road And Let’s Dialogue, Sanwo-Olu Appeals To Protesters’, on Monday, by the governor’s Chief Press Secretary, Gboyega Akosile swearing-in members of the Judicial Panel of Inquiry and Restitution at the State House in Marina, Sanwo-Olu said the pain expressed and concerns raised by the protesters were genuine and legitimate.

The governor was quoted as saying, “We have shown unprecedented commitment to the complete overhaul of the Nigerian Police. The inauguration of this Judicial Panel of Inquiry is only the first step in a long line of reformative actions that will lead to a thorough revamp and reorientation of the Nigeria Police.

“I believe that some of the actions we have taken should, to a large extent, show our sincerity and willingness to address all your concerns.

“Let me reiterate that I am on the side of the young people out there. I understand your pain and I know your concerns are genuine and legitimate. While we are able to immediately acquiesce to some of your demands, some others will require time. We ask you to bear with us as we dutifully work on your demands.

“I will, therefore, like to renew my appeal to you to suspend the protests and create an atmosphere for the resolution of all pending demands. I encourage everyone brutalised by the disbanded SARS, including the families of those who died, to present their case before this tribunal.”

Over 200 cars belonging to protesters have been burnt by some allegedly paid hoodlums in Abuja in order to disrupt the ongoing #EndSARs protest.

In the early hours of today, the police were deployed to the protest ground to disperse protesters but were unfortunately overpowered by the protesters.

Later in the day, thugs swamped the avenue with weapons, shooting at protesters and burning vehicles while the police stood and watch. It was gathered that the torching of cars started with the DJ’s truck followed by others, leaving countless protesters injured.

As of the time of this report, armed policemen had been deployed to guide the CBN building.

Legendary singer, 2Baba, has asked all Nigerian security agencies to join the ongoing #EndSARS protests if they are not happy about their welfare.

2Baba born Innocent Idibia made this call yesterday, October 18, via his official Twitter page.

His call is coming in the wake of protests holding across Nigeria in agitation for police reform and an end to bad governance in the country.

According to the “African Queen” crooner, the police, military and paramilitary joining the ongoing protests will birth “a better Naija.”

Reality star, Natacha Akide aka Tacha has called the prison break in Benin as sabotage by the government in order to disrupt the ongoing #EndSARs peaceful protest.

Tacha in a post on Twitter revealed that the government is trying to outsmart the youths by creating a problem that will shut down the peaceful protest against police brutality in the country.

“Those INMATES in Benin were ILLEGALLY released by authorities!! Just to SABOTAGE THE PEACEFUL PROTEST! we are not fools!!” She wrote.

In reaction to Tacha claim, Nigerians across the social media platform rushed in to support the call.

“I would like to state something, I grew up in Benin and I know that prison very well. I can boldly state that it’s almost impossible to break out from that prison, not to talk of a break out by protesters. The Edo State Govt will have to answer some questions” a Nigerian identified as Harry wrote on Twitter

A user identified as Eddy also hinted that the government is trying everything possible to frustrate the protesters across the country.

The Catholic archbishop of Lagos, Alfred Martins has warned President Buhari against deploying soldiers to the #EndSARS protest grounds across the country.

The Catholic Bishop stated that deployment of security operatives to the protest grounds can only lead to injuries and possible deaths and an escalation. Martins also advised the youths to continue being peaceful during the protests as the world is watching.

His statement read;

“Such a measure, if adopted, can only lead to injuries and possible deaths, and an escalation of the protests. It has the tendency of turning the largely peaceful protests into a violent one.

“We therefore urge the federal government to toe the line of engagement in dialogue, listening to the demands of the youth and other well-meaning Nigerians.

#EndSARS: If anything happens to us, hold Enugu State Govt – Phyno, Kcee, Zoro cry out over threat to life

South-Eastern musicians, Phyno, Kcee and Zoro have revealed their lives were threatened during their second peaceful #EndSARS protest in Enugu.

They made this known in series of uniform write up they tweeted on their respective official Twitter pages today, October 17.

According to them, their #EndSARS protest in Enugu today was peaceful until some government-sponsored thugs came to disrupt it.

They said they didn’t give the thugs a chance to cause harm to the protesters as they begged the youths with them not to react.

When they got to government house, they said Governor Ifeanyi Ugwuanyi came out but refused to address them and instead walked out on them.

Since #EndSARS campaign began, Phyno, Flavour, Kcee, Mastercraft and Zoro have been protesting together in different states within South-Eastern Nigeria.

The musicians have now taken to Twitter to warn that should anything happen to them, the government of Enugu State should be held responsible.

Their uniform tweet read, “Enugu! Today our lives were threatened and we are making it clear that if ANYTHING happens to any single one of us or any protesters, let it be known that it was done by the ENUGU STATE GOVERNMENT!

Scores of protesters at Alausa, Ikeja, on Friday attacked a van believed to have been sent by Musiliu Akinsanya, popularly called MC Oluomo, to deliver water and drinks to protesters.

MC Oluomo, the chairman of the National Union of Road Transport Workers (NURTW), Lagos chapter, was accused by protesters of sponsoring the attack by armed thugs on Thursday.

They have all denied the allegations. The transport union chief in a video he shared on social media said he supports the protest for police reform and could not have sent the thugs.

Nigerian singer, Davido has been trending on social media after he stormed Abuja to demand for the release of some protesters who were locked up.

During the movement, he led some other Nigerians to beg for the release of 20 innocent protesters.

IGP reacts as EndSARS protesters kill police officer in Delta and cart away his rifle (videos)

The Inspector-General of Police, Mohammed Adamu, has condemned the unprovoked and violent attack on Policemen and damage to Police operational vehicles and other assets by #ENDSARS protesters in Ughelli, Delta State, on Thursday, 8th October 2020.

Youths in Ughelli came out in their numbers to stage a protest demanding the disbandment of SARS.

A statement released by the Force Public Relations Officer (FPRO), DCP Frank Mba, says the protesters attacked and brutally murdered one Corporal Etaga Stanley attached to ‘A’ Division, Ughelli, Delta State and inflicted gunshot wounds on another officer, Sergeant Patrick Okuone.

''The protesters also carted away one (1) service AK47 rifle with breach no 56-2609008 and 25 rounds of live ammunition that was with the deceased at the time of the incident.'' Mba's statement read


The IGP who described the incident as cruel and unwarranted warned that the Force will no longer tolerate any attack on its personnel or any member of the law enforcement community by any individual or group protesting under any guise. The IGP notes that protests by citizens remain a legitimate means for airing their concerns and views. It must however be carried out with all sense of responsibility and within the confines of the law.

The IGP, while condoling the family and friends of the late Corporal Etaga Stanley, equally commended the officers of the Delta State Police Command for exercising restraint in the face of the unjustified provocation

The IGP has directed the Commissioner of Police, Delta State to carry out a discrete investigation into the unfortunate incident, root-out the perpetrators, and bring the killer protesters to book.

Unconfirmed reports however claim that the protest turned violent after a police officer opened fire on the protesters, and one of the fired shots allegedly landed on a little boy who was around the area of the protest.

One Lagos businessman, Prince Royelx has called out the 2020 Big Brother Naija housemate, Laycon over his ungrateful attitude.

Prince Royelx claims to have spent over 2 million naira in supporting the singer through votes from the beginning of the show till the concluding date.

In an extensive Instagram post, the real estate consultant stated that instead of recognizing and appreciating the businessmen who were the main people behind his success, he chose to appreciate celebrities who didn’t spend a dime from their pocket to vote for him.

He wrote, “I want to Clear up PEOPLE CALLS AND QUESTIONS ABOUT IF @itslaycon CALLED OR SHOWED ANY APPRECIATIONCATION ON ALL MY HELP AND FINANCIAL SUPPORT I GAVE HIM, WHICH KNOW I SPENT MORE THAN 2million DURING HIS VOTES.

“The Truth is that No He have not and I DON’T THINK HE HAVE TIME FOR BUSINESS MEN(NON- CELEBRITY) And as a Business Man, I feel i helped a Young Boy, I fought so Tirelessly for him to win the BBNaija (EVEN WHEN MANY KEEP ASKING ME WHY I CHOOSE TO SUPPORT A YORUBA BOY INSTEAD OF ỊGBỌ, & MY ACCOUNT WAS Shadow Banned many times..

“Because of Laycon,AM NOT ANGRY, AM HAPPY, But what surprises me, is the Celebrities he’s called, many of them Never spent 1 Naira on Laycon Votes.. Instead they keep begging for Money from one Big Boy Dm and another..
