its not about whether he can play both flanks. in the last match he was a bit slow to cover defensively on the right flank, i hope it was just an off day.

Yeah the problem with this 3 man defence is you need almost flawless execution by your defenders....it does not forgive mistakes.
But our midfield is less porous than last season and i believe we will control the tempo of the game better this season.

Louis Van Gaal please show these other EPL coaches whats what.
I believe with this current squad we can get into the top 4 (provided we are lucky with injuries).
However we need 3 buys to solidify things AND if we get these 3 right we can challenge for the title.
We need a defender, a midfielder and possibly a wing back (all world class).
Then we need to offload dead weight.

I dont like it personally cos its a home run or strike out formation. When it fails it fails woefully.

Janko is a natural right wingback and i believe he is ready to step up. Pearson is another talent but he appears physically fragile
