Believeintruth: You are the one that doesn't have sense. These guys have done their projections into the future making room for expansion into those uninhabited cities. even Morocco is doing the same. In Nigeria's case no one is crying here due to tribalistic sentiments, it is selfishness of the people in power to still keep people leaning towards Lagos instead of opening up everywhere. We have ports littered all over SS why can't the FG expand them to the capacity of Tincan and Apapa? why not fix or create roads that link from the hinterland to those ports littered all over the south. My friend you are not only a joker but a senseless person. So in your chicken reasoning, it's only China that is permitted to make projections? You are too dull to make your own projections, which is even to an already thriving zone with viable opportunities. You are obviously an idiot, who should never go near public administration. |

Believeintruth: Road projects that make economic sense. If it was China they would thrash his road project idea because ot makes no economic to spend that huge funds whereas on the course of the road all the ports are there in need of expansion and rehabilitation. They would rather use the funds to modernise the hinterland roads to link all the ports littered all over the south. You are a joker. China that is building uninhabited cities planned for the future. Massive road and bridge constructions into places they want to stimulate economic activities. Only this one here, people are already crying and introducing tribal sentiments. Yet, you are trying to gaslight China into the matter deceitfully. |

Winnin009: Its very difficult because it will amount to doing the right thing. And doing the right thing goes against their innate nature. Roads are investments and an anchor for development. Nothing stops the FG from creating new road corridors. Most especially an economically viable one like the coastal road that will connect the biggest refinery. |

Who is this clown? Do you have any evidence private/state govt investors wants to build port anywhere similar to the Lekki port and they didn't receive approval?? Lekki Port LFTZ Enterprise Limited today in Lagos signed a US$629 million facility agreement with China Development Bank to part-fund the development and completion of the Lekki Deep Sea Port project being constructed in Lagos by project sponsors, Tolaram Group of Singapore and Chinese giant, China Harbour Engineering ... Is anyone stopping you from bringing your own investors?? The FEC approval for the project was granted on 14th May 2014 vide its Conclusions referenced EC 15(14)4 and after the closure of negotiations by the Nigerian Ports Authority, a Concession Agreement dated 12th December 2018 was finally executed for 45 years on a Build, Own, Operate and Transfer (BOOT) basis commencing from the date of Financial Closure. The Public – Private – Partnership [PPP] model is based on the following sharing structure: i. Federal Government represented by NPA – 5% ii. Lagos State Government where port is located – 20% iii. Private Investor/manager – 75% Who was president on the above date?? Is anyone stopping other people from making similar arrangements and taking it to Jona back then to approve?? Continue crying |

Travel › Re: Lagos-Calabar Road: Realignment, Flyovers To Connect Lekki Port, Refinery by agabusta: 7:59am On Apr 29, 2024 |
Glitcher: The onne port is an inland port with all its limitations. Check the map of ports in west Africa, you will notice how the frequency of ports stops at Lagos. The NDDC and state government do not have the capacity to carry out some kind of projects due to the difference in cost and allocation. In addition it is the responsibility of the FG to build interstate roads and seaports. The Niger delta states have benefitted less than 1% of the wealth they have given the nation. Their underdevelopment may be a strategy to keep the place uninhabited due to pollution by the oil companies. The issue of destroying the natural environment is another issue. They have found oil in the north but they are not pumping the oil out, you know why? Because they know how it can damage their environment. So much is given by the Oil producing companies and little is given back. The oil producing communities are just foolish. Now they want to build super highway to the place to encourage inhabitation and investment along the corridor and you are still complaining. 🤦🏽♂️ 🤦🏽♂️ |

All they can do is create an enabling environment. Building of this road is such! Dangote refinery benefited from govt support and its employing thousands. The successful completion of this road will generate massive economic activities along the corridor that will create hundreds of thousands of jobs. This is a road linking the new industrial area of Lagos, which has the biggest refinery in Africa, the Lekki deep sea port and the proposed Lekki International Airport. Accessing this international Airport from Bayelsa, Edo and Delta state will take just few hours by road. The economic implications of this road if successfully completed and linking the proposed states is just to massive to imagine. |
Travel › Re: Urgent Schengen Visa Inquiry by agabusta: 6:03pm On Apr 28, 2024 |
pansophist: No, the visa will not become invalid during transit, as long as you fulfill the below conditions.
1. You will be in the sterile zone of the Schengen airport, also known as the international area. So you won't have to change airport, or stamp into the country, and stamp out again. 2. Your country of final destination is NOT a Schengen country 3. You are entering a Schengen airport from a non-schengen airport, and departing to a non-schengen airport. E.g., flying from Abuja to Paris, then leaving from the same airport from the sterile zone to Sao Paolo.
If you fulfill the above condition, then you won't have any issues, and your trip is lawful.
Before a visa can be considered used, you must have been stamped into the zone by the border guards. If you are not stamped, then your visa is considered unused.
The legal basis for what I wrote above is Article 3(5a) of the visa code, which states that holders of a valid uniform visa, national long-stay visa or residence permit issued by a Member State are exempted from the requirement to hold an airport transit visa.
The above article didn't state any exemption that a single entry Schengen visa automatically cancels the validity of the visa after transit. Having such a view is a narrow interpretation of that paragraph, and is also incorrect.
I think where your confusion comes from is confusing location with presence. Although you are located in e.g., Paris, from a legal perspective, you are not in France, as far as you are in the international area and didn't get your passport stamped into the country.
same way you are not in Nigeria if you are inside the Spanish embassy in Abuja. The Nigerian government cant arrest you there, since its considered Spain.
Don't forget that a visa in itself doesn't even permit entry to the zone, it's a privilege. So you might travel and be turned back at the point of entry, and from a legal perspective, you didn't enter the country yet.
So as far as you didn't get your passport stamped, you can enter and reenter and transit the Schengen as much as you like, you are safe. Wow, what a detailed explanation. Thanks for taking your time to put this together all for the sake of knowledge share. 🙏 🙏 |

pansophist: No, you don't.
In accordance with article 3(5) of the Schengen Visa Code, Nigerians are exempt from airport transit visas if they hold a visa or residence permit issued by Canada, the US, and the UK.
Safe trip bro. Don't forget to buy stroopwafels at Schipol airport. Pls is the holder of Schengen single entry visa also exempt from transit visa? Or will the visa be used for the transit and that's it? The person has a Schengen single entry visa for a future trip. But wants to transit the Schengen zone to another country before this planned Schengen future trip. There is this confusion if its appropriate to apply for a transit visa when there's an active Schengen visit visa on the passport, but unfortunately a single entry one. Also, the other confusion is if the visa will become invalid after being used for transit nullifying the purpose for the visa for an intended future trip. |

We ha e everything in this country, but what we don't have is LEADERSHIP. Jobless mofos like Helinues, Legendhero and other unfortunate agbadorians will not agree. They like supporting our oppressors.
I enjoined all patriotic Nigerians irrespective of tribe or religion to patronize AIR PEACE and make those bastard foreign airlines pay for their years of evils against the Nigerian people.
I rest my case. The Leadership is a microcosm of the people. We are not nice people. We take advantage of each other at the slightest opportunity. Evidence abound all around in the offices, hospitals, markets, queues, etc It is this same behavior that shows when people get elevated to a higher position. The behaviour has always been there. Everybody forming smart, and using nepotism to make judgement. We are deceiving ourselves by looking at a phantom Leadership. This will continue till end of the world if we do not change our behaviour at the individual level. No matter how many Leadership changes happen, the same result will be gotten until we change the mindset of a significant population say 70-80% of our people. |
