On a side note, how which those nairaland YouTubers with horrible voices can learn from Op. His videos are straight to the point, and void of any disturbing gorilla voice. Keep it up @weytindeyhappentv So annoying. They'll just be repeating same nonsense to make the video appear longer. |

Unserious man, you refused to complete Port Harcourt rail because of beef with Amaechi, but promising Abuja light rail.
Whatever issue you had with the PH rail, do your part and leave the rest for the coming generation.
If its 2km you can do, do it. Every administration will keep adding theirs. Until the city is well covered. Instead, you killed the project because of ego.
Same thing Ambode did in Lagos. Luckily, he was denied a 2nd term and the blue rail project is now operational serving people of diverse backgrounds, and standing as a pride of the nation.
Its success has even propelled Lagos to start the Red line, which is at an advanced stage of completion and planning is already in place for additional lines (Green, Purple, Orange). |

RepoMan007: I have asked countless times here too. Emefiele was obviously getting it right compared to some patchy-patchy sophistry of a politically-minded tinubu team.
It makes no sense to give someone going to buy hair extension and tractors dollar at same rates. Let the less important one, that's consumption focused, go to black market and buy at N2000 a dollar, but give the tractor importer at N200 a dollar. That way, you encourage people trying to increase local production. They can take future pressure off the dollar supply with import substitution. Emefiele was right to partially disown some ridiculous imports via that list of 41 items. Today everyone is justling for same dollar and the price has gone haywire. You are not taking into account the endemic corruption in the blood of the average Nigerian that'd not make the so called tractor buyers get the forex at that rate. Probably 5% of so called tractor buyers will get it, while the other money will go through other avenues that would do greater damage to the economy. Nigerians are incapable of handling discretion, the system will eventually be abused. |

What is "defending the indefensible" in trying to enlighten you?? I said petition alone can be up to 1000 pages in some cases. The Presidential election tribunal judgment is still fresh in our minds and was about 700-pages long. Same thing with some governorship tribunal. 100s of pages-long judgments are not out of place with the Nigerian judiciary as they write down virtually everything that was said throughout the case. |

I even doubt ESN still exists in the form it took when Mazi Kanu formed it! This is what you should say. That they have turned something else or hijacked by criminals. That is the problem with empowering non-state actors with too much support. There's no way to call them to order when they go out of line or go rogue. Despite how bad the Nigerian govt seems, if an issue receives too much public interest, they retrace their steps and take corrective action. But with non-state actors with too much powers |

extremelygolden: Do you observe Federal Government Public Holidays in your place of work? If Yes, not only is your annual leave Mondays to Fridays only, you'll also need to add any such federal government holidays that falls within your leave period.
For instance, your annual leave is from December 11 to January January 17, that's the 28 days already, but because Federal Government declared 25th December (Monday), 26th December (Tuesday), 1st January (Monday), as public holidays within your stipulated leave period, you're authorized by Employment Law or Nigeria Labour Law, to add the three days, making the total number of your Leave days 31 working days (excluding the weekend). That means, instead of resuming on 18th January, you're required to resume on January 24th because there was also a weekend in-between.
The company is not doing you any favour. It's your statutory right as a Nigerian Worker. That's why I pray for people to get jobs in a well structured organizations, where they fully understand these principles and don't trample on the rights of their workforce!
And on your own, try Google and read Nigerian Labour Laws, especially the Employment Law, where the distinctions between the employer and the employee are vividly spelt out.
I wish you well. How many days is the minimum statutory leave days in Nigerian Labour law? This is where you'll see that the employer is "doing a favour" in response to your post. But it is not actually a favour anyway, it is just to remain a competitive employer and be consistent with industry standards. |

If your employer says calendar days then weekends are included. If they says working days, then your weekends are excluded.

It is only the public holidays that will be credited back to the staff. |

iamjavadem: That's a scam, I have never heard where leave days include weekends. Your office must be a very toxic place. Better look for a better company to work for, this one is a slave master. Are you for real? Most private organizations are like this. If you have 28days as leave days, and you want to go on holiday for 2 weeks, the weekend is counted. You cannot jump the weekend. It is only if you want to go for say 5 days, that only Monday to Friday is counted. It is only if your employment contracts states that your leave days are working days that you can jump weekend. In most cases, such leave days will be 21days in a year as opposed to those that gets 28days per annum. |

There is no weekend days like Saturday and Sundays in annual leave
The days included are Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday and Friday
Now this how it is done
If when you are on annual leave and there comes a public holiday declared by the government Then you will have to add that number of days declared as public holiday to your annual leave days Leave days cannot jump Saturday and Sunday. You have to count it inside. Especially if your employment letter states calendar days. |

GGIA: this is not counted as his first term.
it is a continuation of the late governor’s tenure.
when he contests in the next election and wins, that will be his first term.
remember the case of Yar’adua and Goodluck Jonathan The constitution has been amended since then. But I think it was 2 years that was put in the amended constitution, so he may still be able to get a fresh term and another. As his time before the next election will not be up to 2 years. |
