spiSeyi: Ayedatiwa the desperado most ppl were victimizing Betty (Aketi's wife) because of tribal sentiment .Betty knew something we don't know . I beginning to realize that the woman is only fighting for her husband life. Ayedatiwa is too desperate for power
Akeredolu himself already prophesied the seat for him. I don't think anyone but the Almighty can hinder him from getting there.
KingAzubuike: America be laughing at Russia for struggling against Ukraine but they seem to easily forget they are the masters of losing wars embarrassingly.
America couldn't defeat ordinary Canada in 1812. They were chased away and pelted with stones by native American indians.
What about Vietnam? That's another embarrassing story for another day.
Lumarstone: OP, you are wrong by saying that Igbos can be found in Guinea. OP would have said that Igbos are good in traveling to every parts of the country. Again, Igbos do not supposed to be number two here considering there insignificant numerical strength. The Fulanis, Hausas, Yorubas should be ranked first, second and third bcuz these tribes cought across many countries in Africa.
I left..!
The post on YouTube had Igbo as number 3. But the OP thought it smart to make a switch, changing the number 3 to number 2 in the transcript. Unnecessary childishness.
clems88: This guy don suffer no be small. God abeg o. Nothing should happen to binance o
You better cut out sharp sharp before yawa gas. All these trading on intangibles will always have a catastrophic end. They are not built on real value.
crossbreedwears: This man just want to be a governor by all means. It truly shoes how people crave for power so much and people like him fail to take up state responsibilities. A lot of people going into politics just want to use direct power either to oppress people or evaluate their family
They do not want to transfer knowledge and skills to Nigerians.
They want Nigerians to remain unskilled and be their cleaners, gatemen and drivers and not their engineers, computer programmers and managing directors.
Well, maybe you are talking because of your level of exposure.
At the top, there's a dearth of skillet. It is at the bottom people are dragging positions and competition is tough.
At the high level, there's vacancy but difficult to fill those roles due to lack of capable hands.
Even when there are capable Naija people, their level of integrity is usually below par. This is not to say in all cases but very common.
flokii: Nigerians must rise up against these foreigners now before it's too late..
Local content, technology & skill transfer are very vital for FDIs entering into any country.. Some greedy Nigerians in top positions won't mind sabotaging national interest to keep their pay and inflow of fat income.
There is nothing special a white man needs to do that a Nigerian can't do with the right skills set and training. These foreigners don't want to train our people, reason they are shipping themselves into the country at alarming rate.
Nigerians must wake up and support the Minister of Interior on this expatriate levy.. else in the next 8 - 10 yrs, only foreigners will be in working class in Nigeria. Why flood Nigeria with Chinese people when we have Engineers graduating from our tertiary institutions?. Ori wa o pe rara ni ilu yi.
Expatriates is not your problem. Offer same level of skills, integrity, managerial capabilities and competence and no organisation will be looking for expatriates.
Ecclesiastes 9:10 Whatsoever thy hand findeth to do, do it with thy might; for there is no work, nor device, nor knowledge, nor wisdom, in the grave, whither thou goest.
What of those that appeared to our Lord Jesus and were chatting with him. Elijah and Moses?
Creamypie: Wigwe is not even aware of anything. E doesn't even know he was once a Human, with dangote as friend.he's not aware he was formerly on earth and existed as either human, leaves of forest, animal, water of fish. not to talk of his being aware chains of billion dollar businesses while on earth. He's now dust in every sense
naptu2: Video: President Bola Tinubu visits the Qatari National Museum. The museum is the former palace of the Emir of Qatar.
The governor of Borno State, Babagana Zulum, says that the Qatari Charity Foundation is currently building an orphanage and schools in Borno. He says that they are also building thousands of homes in Kaduna and Sokoto states.
The minister of Arts, Culture and the Creative Economy says that Nigeria is planning to build some new national museums as well as mini museums in some of our missions abroad, so it was a very good experience
SoNature: Goodluck Jonathan was a relatively good but weak man. You must be a strong man to turn a deaf ear to critics and achieve what you want. The same thing Buhari did and Tinubu is doing now. For the fact you are convinced that you are doing the right thing, you must not pay attention to critics.
By the way, Goodluck Jonathan didn't protect Stella Oduah; dude totally cut her off when she wanted audience with the president during the car purchase saga.
Professor Barth Nnaji has a legacy in Nigeria and will be remembered for this after his death. Alex Otti should name a road, project or street after this great Igbo son.
If you call him a weak man and you are from a certain tribe, they'll say you are a tribalist. That it is the tribal thing in you that is making you call him that. Its just pathetic that it started from that Jona era and to all the presidents till date.
Before Jona, Obj and Yaradu were well criticised and thy never hid under the toga of tribalism. Obj suffered chronic criticism from his SW people during his stint. He was protested against many times, and never attributed it to tribalism. All the nonsense of protecting one's tribal man in govt started with Jona.
9jatriot: I have said it before and I will say it again. GEJ should never have allowed his top performing minister to resign. If he could protect Desianni and Stella Uduah, then Barth should have been protected at all cost even if it meant lookking the other to what his distractors were accusing him of.
You are right. These are part of the reasons some people called him a weakling. And some others will be thinking its tribalism.
Obj would never have allowed this guy to be frustrated out except if he himself has vested interest.
the power generated by Geometric power would not go to the national grid, but go to Aba and 9 other local governments in Abia state as a start.
This is splendid!
Asides supplying Aba with the much needed power, it will also relieve the national grid of what would have been apportioned for Aba.
Kudos to this great mind. I remembered during his stint as power minister, power was already getting stabilized. But the wicked powers that be frustrated him out and Jona could do nothing.
STYCNig: 1. Nigeria Economy in all ramification was far better when we had foreign based players as service providers. The greed of Nigerian politicians using corruption money to float businesses through proxies is heartening and sickening for our growth as a nation.
2. Nigerians forgets in a hurry, we don't keep records, we don't take stock and statistics of precedents.
3. How much was domestic air ticket when we had foreign airlimes manning our local routes? How much is the ticket now from LG ABJ PH UYO CBQ?
4. How much was cement when we had imported cement in our local markets? How much is cement now? How much was Turkey? Chicken & Poultry commodities when we had foreign products.
5. We are clapping for them in ignorance as though they are trying to grow local content whereas they are trying to defraud the masses with quack services for higest price.
6. Can we compare quality of airline services now with local owners against what we had then with foreign actors?
We cannot be stuck on foreign generated goods and services for ever. We won't get employment right.
We won't get our macro economics right.
We would be a victim to whatever local challenges that occurs in their home country.
While using proceeds of corruption to set up companies is bad, there can still be some advantages in it instead of just transferring the loot to invest abroad.
Competition will lead other entities into the market, generating commerce and employment.
Daystar7: How are we talking about Civil war at this time in Nigeria when we should talking about remedy to the hunger in Nigeria. I've made a decision to never engage anyone in tribal/ religious slur of any kind. It's bad that Gowon even at his old age is living in denial instead of making peace with his creator. How's the civil war an achievement and something to brag about? How does this statement help Tinubu's troubled administration or encourage him? In a time where we should be encouraging national unity an Old man is making such careless statement and some Nigerians are happy about such. There's a reason why history is no longer taught in school so for this Man to be doing this, at this time is him directly trying to destabilize the unity of the nation. It's sad! And if at all anyone should take glory for winning any war that was totally needles it's Awolowo not him. He's too slow in the head to win a war which was why he begged Awolowo to join his government with the promise that he was going to handover to civilian rule only to betray and renege on his agreement. This haunted Awolowo till death, the man died depressed and unhappy cos he came to realize that the war was needless and shouldn't have happened if not for Gowon's cluelessness and stupidity. Just look at how Fulani's are ravaging his people before his very own eyes but too slow to talk about it and clueless on how to face the situation. His life is a living hell. He couldn't keep any agreement. Why didn't he say a word on who reneged on the Aburi accord he signed but waited till Ojukwu's death before blabbing? Now he's openly agreed he started the war, how does this careless statement help Tinubu? It's a pity!
People should not be too sentimental.
A war in the life of every nation is a tough period.
Being the leader of a country during tough period like a war is not for the weak.
Most world leaders during war are regarded as high intellectual and tough people. Washington during US civil war Wiston Churchill during 2nd World War Roosevelt during 2nd World War, etc
The man is just going down memory lanes that as a young leader of a country during war, he was constantly bombarded with demotivating talks that he can't succeed as a leader, but he braced all odds and held the country together. Nobody wants things to disintegrate during their time.
Nigeria is not the only country to go through a war.
People should desensitise themselves about this civil war talks. Lots of countries have suffered defeat during war and they do not go about whining about it.
France, Germany, etc Those guys are doing well and not whining up and down.
The man is just encouraging Tinubu that he succeeded during his time and Tinubu should be encourages and face the work head on.
immortalcrown: I don't fan the custom unit but I admit that average Nigerians abuse almost everything and make life difficult for themselves and for others.
Maybe custom had a good reason to teargas them. Maybe custom didn't have a good reason to do so.
Everybody na thief for Naija. The customs people will even instigate crises so as to codedly go with all the food
