“In just six months of this year, EFCC has secured over 140 convictions and recovered billions of dollars worth of stolen funds."Nice one from EFCC! ![]() Some evil folks, chronic haters, looter lovers will not like this. They will soon invade this place and scream:- "No convictions since war on corruption"Now that several convictions have been secured, they have all buried their heads in shame. "it is a lie!"As if they have better facts than the EFCC Boss. "Use the money to fund budget"As if their wish is not that PMB should not have money to fund the budget. as if they care ![]() "It is meant to distract us!"These ones are the most pathetic. A private media outlet will report a news, their shallow minds will be going all over the internet screaming it is a distraction. "It is propaganda"This one has become a broken record. May God help them not to suffer from hypertension! ![]() |
Who will save southern Christians of islamization paranoia?? Especially those from the SE. They will soon come here now and be raising alarm, while failing to take note of some germane points: 1. No matter how ridiculous a bill is, the house will receive it and work on it, so far it has proponents. Working on it does not mean it will scale all the legislative stages. But only depicts democratic tendencies, which gives voice to everyone. 2. The Speaker is a Christian. 3. Any bill that will include changes to the constitution must go through all the State Houses of Assembly. 4. The Bill also has to be passed by the Senate, which has equal representation across the states of the federation. E.g. A small Ekiti/Bayelsa has same number of senators with big Lagos/Kano. 5. The content of the said bill is the most important thing and this media outlet purposely left that one out in order to sensationalize the news. 6.Another way the writer purposely sensationalized the report is in the title. Instead of saying "The bill is about the Sharia Court of Appeal" cunningly said "Pro-Sharia Bill". Our media outlets need to exercise a high level of professionalism at this time, otherwise they will soon cause a big kasala. I'm sure some shallow heads will soon come and tag me a muslim. |
The problem is not the exchange rate. The main problem is that we simply don't have enough dollars to cater for every need. We don't get dollars for free. We earn it! And the major source of earning dollar is through export of crude. The price we sell this crude has seriously been reduced. Which means, we earn far less than what we earn before. The reason the issue is biting hard at Nigeria is also simply because we import virtually everything we consume! The way forward is also simply to prioritise what we import with the meagre resources available to us. Floating the naira or otherwise, the issue will still persist. We simply don't have enough dollars to go round. The meagre dollars available to us will be directed at critical areas of the economy at the CBN rate. Other non-critical imports should source their dollars at the parallel market. It's a technical devaluation for non-essential imports. This may be a good idea only on the mid-term while we speedily try and reduce our over reliance on imported goods. |
SlimCupid:To be a member of ISPON is not by force. The prerequisite is simply that you do their General HSE & Level 3 HSE courses. If u are not ready to submit to their process, then stay on your own, it doesn't call for infantile outbursts. |
Dudecollins:They don't recognize Novelle Centre HSE courses. |
For real?? |
trash! |
Ebun Ebun... I think you have been running your mouth. Time for you to sit comfortably in the dock and continue ranting. |
Interesting. |
Uduak2019:Must you always lump SS & SE together? Smh. Attache tins. Smh |
No one can hold Nigeria to ransom. They will be properly dealt with at the fullness of time. No one should come and shout genocide when the military turns the creeks into another war theater. |
phayvoursky:Do u live in the whole of Lagos?? Some people just like running their mouth unnecessarily. Is the minister for petroleum cum GMD of NNPC not also a lawyer? At the higher echelon of management, there is a downplay of technical expertise to managerial expertise. In my area in Lag, I have like 6 hrs daily at staggered time. |
.... and the wailing continues. ![]() |
PIPPROF:You are a typical wailing zombie. Your wailing started from May 29, 2015 and You'll continue to wail till May 28, 2023. A lot has been achieved, but since you too busy wailing, your eyes has been clogged from seeing things. |
5starmilitant:If the EFCC refuses to investigate, then publish same in the dailies. There is a power media houses have. The populace will then put pressure on the security agencies to pursue such cases. |
PIPPROF:You are obviously an illiterate. There are different categories of boreholes. Their are boreholes you can build for as much as 500 million naira. If you think I'm lying consult any water engineer around you. The aquifer level is not the same at all places. When you semi-illiterates hear boreholes, the only thing that comes to your minds are the archaic boreholes in the villages. Dont blame you guys much sha, since it is what you get to see regularly that has given you that ignorance. |
PIPPROF:The media is there to help you. Show us the evidences, wailing zombie, who cannot think out of the box. You wailing zombies has serious thinking issues. You go about screaming about evidences about Amaechi, but when asked to show factual evidence, like what EFCC is doing now, you hide your heads in shame. Let Wike publish the statement of accounts of where Amaechi transferred state funds to APC or other private individuals. |
PIPPROF:Why not show us the evidences of how APC financed their own campaign. Let Wike show us the transfer that were made from the state accounts. Let him publish the statements just the same way EFCC is confronting these accused with evidences of receipt/transfer of cash. |
EFCC! |
The street fighter? Chai! PDP is seriously confused. Plenty controversial figures in the party. |
PMB will definitely perform well and go on to win a second term before handing over to Pastor Yemi Osinbajo. That is it. He will definitely have my vote. |
Nice one. Ogun state is next in line. |
iKarma:It is the same incompetence and bad management that is being displayed in Bayelsa. They both have access to extra cash, but are still neck deep in debt. It is bad management. Both of them also got bail out funds last year from Buhari led FG. While Ondo is owing 4 months, Bayelsa is owing 5 months. It is incompetence on the part of those governors. The northern governors are smart enough, not to stretch the population of their civil service beyond their purse/capability. That is good management. According to your reasoning, the southern guys that want to clear their streets of Almajiri decided to bring them into its workforce. Now, they are finding it difficult to pay them. And most of these guys are not even very productive to the states! Mimiko has no success stories at all for his 2nd term. That is why he is just looking around for something to hold on to. He has I think 8 more months to complete his administration. He is the only governor to have won 2nd term in Ondo state and the state is seriously regretting giving him that chance. I will be very surprised if PDP wins that state in the coming election. We have been hearing "bitumen is about to be exploited since 2002". They should spare us the narrative till when we see actual mining of the product. |
iKarma:Of course money doesn't fall from above. If you have been unable to manage what came to you earlier. What is the assurance that you'll perform better with more cash? Ondo is an oil producing state collecting 13% extra cash. Ondo was aligned to the Federal in the last dispensation of GEJ and is expected to have leveraged on that in respect of favourable policies. Why then is this guy telling us stories that they couldn't get approval to explore and exploit bitumen?? It just show their incompetence and indifference. This guy if he's a good manager should not be owing 4 months salary. He was more concerned with ensuring GEJ win re-election than governing the state. I find it interesting that majority of Northern states we call 'illiterate' manage their states better than their southern counterparts. Majority of Northern states are not owing salaries. I also make bold to tell you that these guys are lying. As far back as 2002 is when the state has got licence to explore and exploit bitumen through the Company Beecon. The company is a consortium of other companies and Ondo state is part of the ownership. |
Nice one there. But we also need you to pay salaries. Mimiko has not paid salaries since December. |
tabontabon:I tire oh. I just dont understand the way they reason. |
Pidggin:Are you turning a blind eye to the fact that she illegally received 2.5billion naira from the country's treasury. So because the people that illegally received money from the FG's treasury are PDP members, they should be left alone, Otherwise it is witchhunt abi? ![]() What a warped reasoning. ![]() Even those that are not PDP members like Alex Badeh and other retired officers, you people still claim them too?? They are being witchhunted right? |
