See the arrogance. "I asked Kashamu to contest". This same Kashamu is not in anyway a role model to hardworking Nigerians. He is even a wanted drug pusher by the USA. And this Clark still wants him to be a Senator of the Federal Republic of Nigeria. Alamesiegha, a convicted thief, who disguised as a woman to escape authorities in the UK is also contesting as a senator under the PDP. I hope everybody can see the image of Nigeria this loafers want to portray to the whole world. With these kind of characters the PDP is pushing up, no one needs to look too much for the reasons the international community does not give any regard to the govt of the day. They have portrayed Nigeria as a Banana republic where everything goes and there is no consequence for impunity. PDP, a party of chop I chop according to their National chairman. This party has so much messed up democratic ideals especially under this administration. The only people that were able to contest for any post under it are those that were forced on the state chapter by the National. If the PDP is allowed to get away with this, it will spell a grave danger for our democracy and breed a culture of dictatorial imposition of candidates. From the North to South, East and West the dust of their shabby primaries is yet to settle. I even read that as many as 3 candidates are still actively campaigning for one particular senatorial seat under the PDP in Anambra state. Imagine such confusion. PDP and confusion, cluelessness and ineptitude are synonymous. We need to do away with them especially for now in order to lay a proper foundation built on honesty and integrity for a better Nigeria. As Father Mbaka said "it shall be well, it shall be well, is it until you die?!" ![]() GMB/PYO to the rescue! #Ihavedecided |
Why I asked Kashamu to contest Senate seat —CLARK Elder statesman and national leader of the Ijaw, Chief Edwin Clark yesterday revealed that he was one of those who asked Prince Buruji Kashamu to contest for the Ogun East senatorial seat on the platform of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP. Chief Clark, who disclosed this while addressing party leaders and faithful at the Goodluck Jonathan Political Centre, said he was buoyed by “Buruji’s commitment to justice and his love for the party and President Goodluck Jonathan,” adding that Kashamu is “a very intelligent person who has got the resources. He cannot be bought over by anyone.” He said he asked him to go to the National Assembly so that he will be able to continue to defend the interest of the party at the upper chamber. Clark recalled the role played by Prince Kashamu and others in stabilising the PDP for President Goodluck Jonathan when those he called “the Gang of 7 rose against the President.” He said he was not surprised at the crowd that came to welcome him despite the a 24 hours notice because, according to him, he knows Kashamu’s capacity. Responding, Prince Kashamu expressed his gratitude to Chief Clark for visiting Ogun State and Ijebu Igbo, in particular. He said the Goodluck Jonathan Political Centre was not built as a commercial venture but a place for strategic political meetings and empowerment initiatives. Kashamu informed the octogenarian that former Governor Gbenga Daniel sent his apologies for not being around to receive him as earlier planned owing to a situation that occurred yesterday morning and that he needed to personally attend to issues outside the state. Chief Clark, who had been earlier received at the State PDP Secretariat in Abeokuta, by Aare Tunde Alabi, State Secretary, Alhaji Semi Sodipo and Dr. Yomi Majekodunmi, among other party stalwarts, paid homage to the Alake of Egbaland, Oba Adedotun Gbadebo, alongside his wife, Dr. Abisola Sodipo-Clark, who is the PDP candidate for Ogun Central Senatorial District. The royal father noted that Mrs Sodipo-Clark was a true daughter of Egbaland and that her father was a member of the House of Representatives in the First Republic, adding that she was qualified to represent Ogun Central at the red chamber. He prayed for her and wished her well in her endeavours. Among the dignitaries who received the elder statesman were the PDP governorship candidate, Prince Gboyega Nasir Isiaka; his deputy, Prince Tunde Makanjuola; State Chairman, Adebayo Dayo; party leaders, such as Chief Kola Ogunjobi, Alhaji Agboola Alausa, Otunba Adeleke Adedoyin, Chief Pegba Otemolu, Chief Fatai Ajibode, Elder Yemi Akinwonmi, Comrade Niyi Osoba and Mrs. Ibilola Solaja, among others. http://www.vanguardngr.com/2015/03/why-i-asked-kashamu-to-contest-senate-seat-clark/ |
We don suffer for this country. These electricity distribution companies are scamming us big time. They take a senseless fixed charge from millions of customers which translates into billions every month. Steady billions even before their normal charges. And despite these free billions they rake in every month, they have refused to install pre-paid metres for a good majority of their customers. Especially those living in areas that are not high brow. These people are milking the average Nigerian dry and the light made available is still a pathetic one. Sincerely Nigeria, we need to open up the petroleum and the electricity distribution industries to serious scrutiny. Massive corruption that has crippled this country is going on in these two sectors. The one of electricity is even worse because they are even still extorting the little the masses depend on without even providing the power. It is no propaganda to say the economy has been badly managed under GEJ. It is a fact! All the regulatory agencies meant to protect the interest of the public like the NERC (electricity), DPR (petroleum), EFCC & ICPC (financial and fraud), SON (standards), CBN (banks and economy), NBC (media, multichoice just dey misbahve as they like, and nothing dey happen), NCC (telecoms- these ones are a bunch of arrogant thieves), FMEnv (Environment) among other regulatory agencies have not been visible at all and are not performing optimally! And the resultant effect is that the Nigerian people are subjected to all forms of fraudulent practises. Soludo hit the nail on the head, when he asserted that the economy has been handed over to the people govt is supposed to actively regulate in order to protect the Nigerian people cum consumers. I just hope they won't come and blame other people again for this their weak oversight. #Never again will such a weak govt lead this country. #Never again will such a bunch of excuse givers govern hardworking and intelligent people of Nigeria. No need for further stories... GMB/PYO to the rescue! #Ihavedecided |

GMB! God bless you, God preserve you, God strengthen you to purge this nation of thieves! Amen!!! |
Interesting. Nice innovation from the thinking world. |
Rochas, future President of Nigeria after Buhari. Ride on pls |
shaddi:Wow, same thing happened to me. I laughed so hard at about 1am, my wife woke up frightened and later got angry when she realised it is the same nairaland that she has always been complaining about. ![]() |
That AyeDee guy is a big scam. He just scammed himself into the pockets of the PDP with his sweet and oily mouth. He is actually an empty barrel. He is just like FFK. It is the same strategy Fani also used to scam his way into GEJ pocket. Tackle the govt wt a smooth mouth, then negotiate wt them behind and then come out blazing like fire supporting them on all fronts. AyeDee and FFK are birds of the same feathers. They are big time scammers to GEJ. They are professional sweet talkers. I won't be surprised if the guy actually paid Linda for that earlier stunt that earned him his publicity. It seems like part of his grand plan to scam his way into politicians' pockets. PDP must have spent some good money to fly the overrated guy into the country, lodge him into a nice hotel and then reward him handsomely for his appearance. The way FFK and this overhyped AyeDee guy got into the campaign organisation of GEJ shows it clearly that GEJ is not a very smart guy. |

Vicotex:Look at this one. What is the lie in what I have written? Is the PDP not morbidly terrified of card readers that is meant to discourage rigging? Instead of the PDP to bring out points to improve the use of card readers, all they have been doing is to try their all to scuttle the process. Put your utterance side by side with mine, and tell me who is the tout & liar btw us. |
Decale:Keep quiet and stop sounding sanctimonious. You clearly indicated that it was the amount you were concerned about. Not the fact that he collected. If you claim to be part of the remaining 20%, good for you. I'm being real. This is the plain situation on ground, we don't have to deceive ourselves. There is serious lack in the land and good majority of Nigerians will not blink twice before collecting anything that comes free. You just go to anywhere where there is crowd and try to distribute something free. Even if it is pencil that majority may not use, I can assure you that you'll almost get crushed. |
PDP sha, already shitting in their pants. Who does not know that Vanguard is an alternative PDP mouthpiece? |
chukwudi44:Papa you don come again? Good morning. But why is your party and the govt you support so morbidly afraid of this card readers? |
There they go again. Party/govt of bloody excuse-givers. When will they ever bear up responsibility for their failures? It is time they quit the stage, for the General who is ready to take both the accolades and blame for his actions. |
Blame Buhari, Shettima, Lai Mohammed if Chibok girls are not found — PDP By Henry Umoru and Levinus Nwabughiogu Peoples Democratic Party Presidential Campaign Organisation (PDPCO) says the All Progressives Congress (APC), its presidential candidate, Major General Muhammadu Buhari (rtd), Governor Kashim Shettima of Borno State and the party’s National Publicity Director, Alhaji Lai Mohammed, should be held responsible if the abducted Chibok girls are not found. It tongue lashed the leadership of the APC over what it described as a flopped one-million-man-march organised in Lagos, saying only 10,000 persons attended the programme. According to the PDPPCO, the development was an indication that the APC and its National Leader, Asiwaju Bola Tinubu, are no longer in control of Lagos State. The campaign organisation was reacting to an APC statement, yesterday, which described as callous, morbid and insensitive the comments by President Goodluck Jonathan that the abducted girls are still alive hinged on the belief that Boko Haram had not displayed their bodies to prove their death. In a statement by the Director, Media and Publicity of PDPPCO, Chief Femi Fani-Kayode, it noted that the APC and its leaders were working against the recovery of the girls, saying that while many Nigerians were happy with the efforts of the military and Jonathan and the successes recorded so far, the opposition party was not happy. Fani-Kayode said, “Whilst the majority of Nigerians are overjoyed by the fact that the President has given us hope by saying that the girls are still alive, Lai Mohammed and the APC are not happy. “The truth is that they do not want those girls to be found and neither do they care about their welfare or their safety. We say this because this was a man, and a party that complained and protested at the fact that Boko Haram was proscribed by the Federal Government last year. “Lai Mohammed proclaimed that the proscription was unjust and unconstitutional. We have always believed that Buhari, Lai Mohammed, Governor Shettima and the APC know far more about the whereabouts of the Chibok girls and the activities of Boko Haram than they have cared to admit. “Let it be clearly understood that if anything happens to those girls and if they are not produced at the soonest, we will hold Lai Mohammed, Buhari and the APC responsible”. On the one-million-man-march organised in Lagos, the spokesperson for the PDPPCO said, “The fact that what the APC boasted would be a one-million-man march could only attract about 10,000 persons is a reflection of the pitiful state of delusion that they are suffering from. “They have lost touch with reality and with the people of the state over whom they have maintained a wicked and ungodly economic and political stranglehold for all of 16 years. But the people of Lagos have now seen through their deception and have decided to reject them at the polls this time round. “The Lagos people have amply demonstrated their anger against the APC and its leader. “It is interesting to read that Tinubu asked the people at the flopped march to march for their freedom. I agree with him and the people will obey him by freeing themselves on April 11 from the political and economic bondage into which Tinubu has put them since 1999”. ‘Deeply offensive’ In its statement, the APC, yesterday, had described as callous, morbid and insensitive the comments by President Goodluck Jonathan, that the Chibok girls are still alive hinged on the belief that Boko Haram had not displayed their bodies to prove their death. In the statement issued by its National Publicity Secretary, Mohammed, the party said it found the “comment deeply offensive to human sensibilities rather than providing hope and succour for the traumatised parents of the girls”. It said a key role of Presidents everywhere in times of tribulations and tragedies is to offer hope and be the consoler-in-chief, not to make statements that will deepen the suffering and sorrow of victims. APC said one would have expected a President to speak on the basis of actionable intelligence, not some twisted, melancholic and offensive logic. The party said the statement “played on the fears of the parents of the girls and indeed of all Nigerians concerning the fate of the girls, who have now been held in captivity for over 300 days, with an impotent government unable to rescue them”. It said “all that the parents of the girls as well as all concerned people around the world want to know is what the Jonathan administration is doing to bring the girls home safely and as soon as possible, not a depressing statement about their bodies being displayed via a video by Shekau if they had been killed” http://www.vanguardngr.com/2015/03/blame-buhari-shettima-lai-mohammed-if-chibok-girls-are-not-found-pdp/ |
Decale:Cut the guy some slack abeg, the guy is a student who was passing by and saw the opportunity to collect some free cash. He is not different from the rest people who has been collecting thousands of GEJ dollars. His own cash is just little cos of his perceived lesser influence capability. Definitely a lot of people will sanctimoniously come to the internet to denounce his action, but in real life, a whopping 80% of students especially in politically active public schools will collect that money. Nigerians sha. They condemn unethical practises only when the amount involved is meagre. |
sleemfesh:I can see he indeed tried to stop the subsidy scam by making one of the actors the Leader of his TAN group. For your information, he only tried to take action in a weak and convenient way that will not anger his subsidy thieves, and will impoverish Nigerians futher. Why should Nigerians be made to pay for the sins of a weak govt? Why should Nigerians be impoverished further because a weak govt cannot tackle corruption in the oil industry. If there is no effective and consistent consequences for corrupt practices, no matter the system put in place, the corrupt elements will still find away to circumvent it as they are confident at the end of it, there will be no consequence for their action. Just noise in the media. |
Elders in states like Rivers, Kaduna, Plateau, Bauchi and Lagos need to come out and lead a campaign for peaceful polls. If care is not taken, there could be serious outbreak of violence in these places due to the high political tension already on ground. |
tit:See this one hiding under one cave in Enugu calling for fire for fire. I can see how selfish you are. Just because you are not resident in an area prone to violence you are selfishly encouraging violence. Assuming you have loved ones in Kaduna, i'm sure you'd have been calling for restraint and maturity. Children of anger and hate! They are not difficult to identify at all. |
As if Jona sef get oratorical strength. GMB delivers his speech in a better and more confident way than Jona. GEJ delivers speech as if there is hot yam in his mouth. You cannot hire hordes of low lives to hurl insults at my person, my wife, my family and what I represent and still expect me to be doing a debate with you. Of course, i'll just leave you and your gang to continue wallowing in your ignorance and hate, and will take my message directly to the electorate. Simple |
The PDP is at it again emphasising the little flaws that was recorded. Either they like it or not, we'll send them parking from Aso villa. It is time honest and people of integrity steer the affairs of this country. GMB/PYO! |
temitemi1:Continue in your robotic ways. Even Jona himself is aware that he is closer to Otuoke like never before. That is why he is massively depleting our resources to settle irrelevant people. We'll soon correct the mistake of having someone like him at the helms of affairs by March 28th. #Change is here! GMB/PYO! |

All these people including GEJ thinks we are not smart. When GEJ came on board in 2011, he didn't deem it fit to organise a confab immediately. It was only one year to the end of his administration when politics was already heating up that he now set up a confab just for political gains. And since the end of the confab that we spent billions on, he has abandoned the report in one corner to gather dust. But now that the tension is high on the political front , he has now started campaigning with confab report. Fake! Jona has no plan for no confab report. He just used that conference to buy some people over and then allow some others to share out of the national cake. All we are sayinggggg... GeneralMarch4Buhari! (GMB) GMB/PYO pair are a honest pair that one can trust to keep their words. They will subject themselves to accountability like no Nigerian leader has ever done, and will set an example for the whole political class to follow. This alone will bring thousands of foreign investors and ensure stability. The Fed Executive Council team these guys are going to set up will be the best brains in the country. I can see the signs of a greater Nigeria through this pair... We must never miss this wonderful opportunity to elect leaders with integrity and honesty... #Ihavedecided GMB/PYO! |

deletrue:From the way you are going, it is evident you are the one that will commit suicide when GMB is declared winner of the election and sworn in May 29th. I don't need to respond to the remaining nonsense and half truths u put up there. |

Ngwakwe:The party is challenging INEC for not communicating it's decision on time, they are not disputing that they were not validly denied registration. And pls get your facts right, Jega as an individual is different from INEC as a body. |
