chukwudi44:You have stated what you and your party represents. You guys are crooks! Buhari's cert issue is already in court, the court will do justice to that. If indeed GEJ is as popular as he claims, , let him leave INEC alone to conduct a free and fair election. Just wait and see. You yourself will be surprised at the votes GMB will garner in the SE & SS. |
seunmsg:God bless you! |
seunmsg:I don't understand oh. I just can't fathom the level of desperation being played by them. I don't know why they can't bank on their dollar bribes to deliver them victory. Maybe they have have come to the conclusion, that despite the dollars Atiku used in bribing, Buhari still defeated him squarely. And they are already seeing the handwriting of their own defeat on the wall. |
cocoduck:One man one vote! That is what is going to happen. Jona will have himself to blame for any manipulation that leads to chaos and anarchy. And he won't still be given the victory. Nothing short of a transparent election will happen! So have u now come to the conclusion that GEJ cannot win a free and fair election to the extent that you are now encouraging him to rig?? |
This is quite laughable! And at the same time calls for sombre reflection. Why are we so desperate as a people to the extent that some will not will not mind playing the hatchet role of scuttling the general elections. Why is Africa so saddled with many shallow, myopic and desperate looters? We as a people need to dedicate time to doing a research on this. It is now that elections are about to start after an initial postponement that a faceless group thought it worthwhile to use a legal loophole INEC overlooked to push for a postponement of the elections. People kindly note that these guys did not challenge the reasons INEC gave for not registering them, they cunningly challenged the non-communication of non-registration after the stipulated 30 days. Govt agencies are ridiculously slow in correspondence due to different bureaucratic bottlenecks. It is this loophole that this irrelevant party wants to now use to destabilise INEC. Funny enough, there is another angle to this. INEC as everybody expects is supposed to have appealed the judgement immediately and file for a maintenance of status quo until the determination of the appeal. But guess what, INEC claims it is yet to even officially receive the judgement let alone file it's appeal. Does that mean some people are deliberately slowing down the process of communicating the judgement to INEC so as to delay INEC from filing an appeal as quickly as possible? INEC is yet to get the earlier judgement and the party is already getting ready to go to the courts again to get another order mandating INEC to comply with the earlier judgement. All these are games actively supported by the PDP underneath to scuttle the elections. But they will all amount to fruitless efforts as the elections will hold as rescheduled. There is nothing the desperate PDP can do about it! The INEC chairman has already stated it that the constitution is supreme! Though i'm not a lawyer but I think there is a legal provision in respect of a conflict between the constitution and other statutes/judgement that makes the constitution to have priority. What this imply is that INEC can conveniently ignore this judgement and later claim in court that obeying the judgement will contravene the constitutional requirements for general elections and the May 29th hand over date. Modified *** I almost forgot... vote GMB/PYO to have the Nigeria of our dreams. ![]() #Ihavedecided #GeneralMarch4Buhari (GMB) |
PDP lays fresh ambush against election There are indications that the national leadership of the ruling Peoples Democratic Party might have perfected a fresh strategy aimed at stalling the March 28 presidential election. Investigations by our correspondent in Abuja on Thursday and Friday showed that the ruling party was actually the brain behind those who registered Young Democratic Party and that it may use this new party to achieve its objective. The new party had on Thursday asked the Independent National Electoral Commission to postpone the forthcoming general elections. The party said this a day after the Federal High Court in Abuja ordered the commission to register YDP as a political party. At a press briefing in Abuja, the party called on INEC to re-schedule the general elections if it could not accommodate it on its ballot paper. It said that contrary to insinuations, the court did not order INEC to only register the party, but added that the commission was ordered to issue certificate and include YDP in the 2015 elections. National Publicity Secretary of YDP, Mr. Ugo Nwofor, said there were only two options available to INEC, saying the commission could either reprint its ballot papers and include the party with a view to accommodate the party’s candidates or shift the elections. Nwafor said, “If INEC does not have the appropriation for logistics for reprinting of its ballot papers then INEC ought to within the constitutional provision further re-schedule the general election so as to accommodate our party. “In either of the two options, our party is ready, it has been a long journey for YDP; we wish INEC would explore the first option.” Shortly after the press briefing, one of the brains behind the YDP was seen at the national headquarters of the PDP in Abuja on Thursday evening, where he said he had come to confer with some of its officers. In a confidential discussion with our correspondent, he said he had come to brief the party on the success of their legal work which made the court to order that the new party be registered. When our correspondent called him on the telephone on Friday whether they were planning a fresh legal option to compel INEC to comply with the court order, he answered in the affirmative. According to him, “Recall that I was at the national headquarters of the ruling party in Abuja on Thursday where I met our partners. We are working together to move the nation forward and deepen our renascent democracy. “We have already fixed the dates for our convention and we would pick our presidential and other candidates for the elections. We expect INEC to give us a chance as stated in the court order.” However, it was learnt that one of the strategies of the ruling party in connection with the YDP is to head for the court and ask that the presidential election be set aside, by pleading that the party was excluded. “This is what we would do if President Jonathan loses the elections,” a source at the national headquarters of the party added. But if the president wins, it was gathered that the party would not show any interest in pursuing any case in the court. Nwofor, however, said that the party was interested in contesting the election, adding that this was in compliance with Sections 85 and 87 of the electoral Act. “Because of this, the party has fixed its governorship/House of Assembly and Presidential and National Assembly primaries for March 26 and 27 respectively,” he added. It was gathered that the party cleverly picked the dates in order to make sure that the election slated for March 28 does not hold or to make it have a legal proof for exclusion. The party was believed to have known that submission of candidates list for elections expired 60 days to the election. An INEC official said that the “commission and Nigerians are aware of the provision of the law on this.” Nwafor, however, said that his party had commenced the sales of nomination forms due to the court judgement. He said, “We have approved sales of nomination forms as follows; Presidential (N15m), governorship (N3m), Senate (N1m), House of Representatives (N500,000) and House of Assembly (200,000).” He described the Wednesday’s judgement as victory for democracy, rule of law and triumph over impunity. It was however gathered that the national leadership of the new party was waiting for the commission to reach out to it tomorrow on the judgement. One of their elders, who spoke with our correspondent, said that “we expect the commission to reach out to us and ask us to send the names of our presidential and other candidates. “In the alternative, the commission can also reach out to us, discuss with us and we may say that we are not fielding candidates for the Presidential and National Assembly elections, which come up first. “The result of the discussion will determine what we would do for the governorship and state Houses of Assembly elections, which holds April 11.” Efforts made to speak with the National Publicity Secretary of the PDP, Mr. Olisa Metuh on the issue failed. He neither picked nor responded to a text message sent to him. http://www.punchng.com/news/pdp-lays-fresh-ambush-against-election/ |
That PEJ is a lousy embarrassment to the presidency. Nigerians need to do away with her at the polls. |
Chai, Jona don age oh. Who is deceiving him that he is young? You berra be careful the distance you jog? Back to the pix, Jona is still sort of looking clueless and Mamma PEJ looking like a tout. |
All na wash. Just because elections are in few weeks time, nothing wey Jona no go do without photo session. Elections forced the guy to visit troops, and it turned out to be a photo session. Everything he is doing now is just for the camera. You better don't allow the PDP propaganda that you are young get into your head, to the extent you'll go and overdo yourself on the track. |
madjune:And you too. ![]() |
silly silly silly thread. #spits on thread and walks away. |
Vanguard again? When Buhari came in and press guys were interviewing him, he asked for the representative of Vanguard, the person just keep mute. I thought Vanguard reported that Buhari was sick, why the person come dey fear make Buhari no go throw am punch na ![]() ***** I knew it! Any such report that sort of dish out camouflaged insult to the People's General will grace the front page. No matter the insults, no matter the hate campaign, no matter the sickness and death wishes, there is going to be a GeneralMarch4Buhari (GMB) on the 28th of March. #Ihavedecided. GMB is a very simple, honest and sincere man. He will stamp out corruption, demonstrate honesty and accountability and thus revive Nigeria and make us an envy. He will kick-start REAL development and nationhood for us. GMB/PYO is a wonderful pair. The Vice is a decorous man and a thoroughbred honest intellectual! He will perfectly complement the incorruptible General. I indulge everyone wishing Nigeria well to support the duo irrespective of tribal/religious affiliation. Misgovernance and maladministration does not know tribe/religion. |
We deceive ourselves a lot in this country. Why should some people be asking the man of God to shut up?? If men of God has been speaking against the maladministration of the GEJ since the start of his administration, he wont be in this tight situation. |
Just Kidding (JK) ![]() |
OgologoDimkpa:Election rigger alert! Sorry, Jega has burst your bubble. We are using card rigger. It will accredit valid voters on election day. Only valid voters will participate in the election. |
GMB! A very simple, honest and sincere man. This man will revive Nigeria and make us an envy. This man will kick-start REAL development and nationhood for us. Now going back to the pix, GMB as usual is looking so simple and presidential. But we cannot confirm the authenticity of the time and place the pix was taken. PDP has been helping APC release fake pix & news these days, after confirming the pix/news has gotten a good level of publicity, they will then turnround to tackle the authenticity of the pix or news-playing what I term 'Advanced propaganda'. Not to worry Nigerians, we'll soon be freed from their yoke. #Ihavedecided On GMB/PYO we stand! |
datibo:Senseless comment. Why are the Yorubas not pained that Lagos has consistently been using an Igbo man as the commissioner for economic planning and budget for the past 15 yrs? We don't care! It is performance we vote for, not myopic and primordial ethnic/religious sentiments. |
kokoA:I'm so impressed by your submissions. Dont mind Jonathanians/Tanoids. That is their modus operandi. They erroneously think this election is a christian vs muslim OR North vs South thing. When you show them otherwise using superior argument as a Buhari supporter, they then resort to insults depending on where the person is from or the person's religion. If the person is from the east, they will call the person a bastard, an efulefu (or whatever), If the person is from the SS, they will call the person a bastard, a bloody traitor, slave to Hausa-Fulani, If SW, they will call the person Hausa-Fulani slave, If a christian northerner, they will call the person stupid and unwise, that muslims have been killing them, yet the person cannot see that and hate them in return, If the person is from NC, they will call the person stupid and unwise, that can't the person see the rampage of the Fulani herdsmen, If the person is a core Northerner, they will call the person Bokoharam, terrorist, etc. Those guys are a big problem to this country. Whenever they want to do their political calculations, it's only divisive and hate comments you'll be seeing from them. That... All christians in the North will vote for GEJ, that christians among Yorubas will vote for GEJ, that Benue and plateau guys that has suffered in the hands of fulani herdsmen will vote for GEJ, they will never tackle issues about how GEJ has performed, and this is the reason why he'll get votes! They always ironically claim APC/Buhari supporters are a hateful & angry people, but they themselves exhibit an alarming and chronic hateful, vengeful and vile disposition. Just observe them in discussions both online and offline, whenever they hear Buhari, they will start foaming in the mouth and start wishing him death and sicknesses and start expressing shock that anybody is voicing support for him. They will even go to the extent of saying: -even if he wins, GEJ should not hand over to him. -GEJ should rig himself in and they will back him. -GEJ should postpone the elections further. ...and a host of other unimaginable statements that will ultimately lead to a state of anarchy. By God's grace GMB will win this election and it will pass the msg across that it is time to put ethnic and religious sentiments behind us in choosing leaders. |
Nairaland is a funny place. So because udenta was a former secretary of AD, it automatically confers intellectual power on him?? |
You are very correct on that one! GMB/PYO! Feels good to be back after a senseless ban for asking if Nairaland collected its own share of GEJ largesse to bloggers. I dont know when asking questions has now turned into a crime oh. |
The People's General! This is the man that will set Nigeria on the path to greatness. #Ihavedecided GMB/PYO! |
PDP is being rejected all over due to their poor performance. Nairaland PDPiglets u better brace yourselves for the incoming defeat. |
Frankmishael:Lol. Why you dey abuse me na, instead to counter my points with superior argument. |
anwo247:Beautiful rubbish is what you have written up there. Which south are you even claiming to represent? Ogun and Lagos are the states with the lowest collection rate and they are wise enough to give constructive criticism to INEC and not some infantile rant. Almost all other southern states have recorded 70,80 and 90% collection rate. Instead of trying to use this to castigate the INEC chairman, why not scream it to the high heavens that the FGN declare even a 1-day public holiday solely for PVC collection. Several states has done this but the FGN's own which carries more weight is yet to materialise. Kindly note that the it is not Jega that will bring your PVC to your house, everybody also has a role to play. And pls do tell, which northern state has recorded a 100 percent collection? As we have people in the north who has not collected, so we have all over the country. It is obvious that people are busier down south in cities like Lagos, Enugu, PHC and states like Anambra and Ogun than those in the north, and will definitely have a lower PVC collection till election day. Infact, a lot of Lag residents registered in d Ogun state area close to Lag and are to busy during the day to go for the pick up. Also, the local government headquarters of most of these places are farther away in Ogun state in comparison to the areas close to Lag where they registered. These are some of the reasons why Ogun state pick up is low in addition to the cards yet to be delivered. |
owobokiri:It is u who is paranoid and seriously praying for GMB's hospitality to be true. If u have comprehension skills u should have noticed my use of the word rumoured. The rumour was even carried in a newspaper http://www.premiumtimesng.com/news/more-news/177776-group-alleges-plot-to-assassinate-buhari.html The wicked PDP'S plan of scuttling the elections will boomerang in their faces! Mark my words. |
I can see some people are already opening different fronts again to have the elections postponed. 1. Push the INEC boss out, this can spark a series of protests, court cases and other actions that will ultimately culminate into election postponement. Another angle to this is that the new INEC boss may also claim the register has been compromised and that he needs time to tidy it and study what is on ground to be able to conduct free and fair elections. 2. Use a number of court cases to frustrate the elections has it happened in 1993. A number of cases are already challenging the use of card readers and PVC. 3. Rumours of assassination attempt against GMB should not be taken with levity, either it succeeds or or not, they may claim election postponement is needed to calm nerves. 4. Some people are already subtly saying after the successes of the military in the NE, time is needed to have homes rebuilt and IDPs returned to their homes. They are already insinuating that this is the priority after the army successfully totally dislodge the militants and not elections. 5. Though this is now getting rhetorical, but some propagandists are still subtly advocating for election postponement based on PVC collection and unequal collection rate across the geopolitical zones. 6. Police strike. This is the new twist. The last time policemen purportedly went on strike, so much was heard from the police high commands about how illegal and irresponsible it is for policemen to even conceive the idea of strike. But what do we have now, silence! The police headquarters and the president has not deemed it important to let the aggrieved policemen know that their issue will be sorted out and their benefits will be paid (positive reinforcement). They have even also not used a negative reinforcement, by threatening them that going on strike is illegal! What does this imply?? Are they being encouraged on by certain powerful people?? Either the desperate cabal likes it or not, majority of Nigerians want a free and fair elections to hold and the winner allowed to steer the ship of the Nigerian state. |
Aggrieved policemen to begin strike on March 28th Policemen who are being owed promotion arrears have said they would embark on strike on March 28, 2015, the day the Presidential election would hold. According to them, this will help them press home their demand and convince the police authorities that they are serious about their threat to down tool. The police personnel said that over 100 of their colleagues retired in 2014 without being paid the promotion arrears and other benefits, adding that the payment had been pending for over two years. The men who spoke to our correspondent in Abuja on Monday, expressed fears that their benefits may not be paid as promised by the Inspector-General of Police, Suleiman Abba. The officers faulted the statement credited to the IG that the police could not pay duty tour allowances and other benefits because of the shortfall in allocation to the Force by the Federal Government. Abba had stated in a document on the 2015 Budget Defence presented to the Senate Committee on Police Affairs last week that the 2014 police budget which suffered a shortfall of N6,464673,537 made it impossible to successfully conclude the payment of personnel emolument in 2014. The policemen said that those that were being owed numbered about 15,000, adding that from the information available to them, nothing was being done by the police authorities to address their grievance. “The only way we could make the IG pay us our salary arrears and other benefits is to embark on strike on Election Day when the nation would need us the most. Otherwise, the issue would be swept under the carpet, like others. “Over 100 policemen have retired without being paid the arrears and some of us would retire this month or next. This means that we may not get the money before leaving service,” the men complained. The Force Public Relations Officer, Emmanuel Ojukwu, had earlier assured that the aggrieved policemen would be paid as soon as the Force received money from the Federal Government. “We are working hard to pay the men and I can assure you that they would be paid once the government pays us; we are waiting for the government to pay us, so we can pay them. The welfare of officers and men of the Force is of paramount importance to the IG and he would do everything necessary to ensure their welfare,” he stated. http://www.punchng.com/news/aggrieved-policemen-to-begin-strike-on-march-28/ |
GEJ pls leave Jega alone to carry out his duties to Nigeria in peace! What is even your problem sef? I think u are already spending billions campaigning, why can't u bank on that for your victory?? It seems u don't mind being disgraced just like Gbagbo. Carry on then, your day of reckoning is at hand already. |
Jona is in for a big surprise. Despite the huge resources he is doling out in the SW, he will still lose squarely. I just pray he won't have heart attack by the time he sees the results of the SW election despite the billions he spent on media propaganda, settling irrelevant people and organising useless rallies. He is so desperate for the SW vote to the extent that the amount he is spending in the SW is getting some of his close associates worried. GMB will bag nothing less than 60% of the SW vote. Mar 28th is not too far. SW RESULT BREAKDOWN Ekiti GEJ 52%, GMB 48% Ondo GMB 55%, GEJ 45% Osun GMB 75%, GEJ 25% Ogun GMB 65%, GEJ 35% Lagos GMB 60%, GEJ 40%. Deviations can only be plus/minus 5% in the actual result. |
