the problem u have is that u don't know how votes are calculated. the total number of votes u have means nothing if you u don't win in more states than your opponent. another thing is that a place like northern Nigeria even animals are registered voters
Winning more states than your opponent does not matter.

What you need is to have at least 25% of the votes cast in 2/3rd of the total number of states which is roughly 24.

If a contestant has 25% of the total votes cast in 24 states and has a simple National majority vote, the contestant will be declared the winner of the election.

Even an older Obasanjo has been gainfully occupied in different local and international initiatives. But this coupist known as Buhari thinks the only way to survive is to be in government. What is plan for Nigeria? Nothing! Just the abstract 'I will fight corruption'. With Tinubu, Fayemi, Sylva?

What did Buhari even achieve as a Head of State? What was that exceptional thing that he achieved that will make us return him, a criminal by Nigerian laws? Did he turn Nigeria into heaven? Did he eradicate corruption? He was a product of corruption himself. Yes, coup plotting is a crime. It is corruption.

Nothing bad in criticising the government. But promoting a criminal who set Nigeria back 50 years is the highest form of corruption.[/s]

A Buhari/Fashola seems unbeatable; only slightly better than an Atiku/Fashola combo.

However, as the constitution requires a successful candidate to garner, at least, 25% of the vote in 24 states; will the APC candidate reach the threshold in the SE and SS, and all the NC states?
If the answer is no, and assuming the APC candidate has a majority of the vote, I see the election going into a run-off.
Buhari will gather the needed 25% easily in the 18 Northern states, the 6 SW states, the FCT and Edo. He 'may' also get it in Imo & Rivers.

Excluding Imo & Rivers which is 'may'....that means he easily can get the needed 25% in 26 states.

This is the problem with you fools always giving yourself too much credit. The outcome of the last election was in the middle belt. The christian middle belt of Plateau, South Kaduna, Taraba, parts of Niger, Abuja as well as Gombe in the northeast and Adamawa where the major victory swing states for GEJ.

This is all thanks to Buhari's rampaging Fulani militia.

SW if you like vote Abacha's corpse. Slaves. By the way, Ekiti, Lagos, Oyo,Ogun and Ondo will be GEJ.

It is that voodoo ritual enclave osun that buhari can have and for all i care
Keep insulting the SW and at the same time asserting that Jonathan will win the place. That should show u how dull u are. Typical of empty chest beaters. When it is time to insult the SW, u'll claim it's only Lagos that harbours considerable nos of non-yorubas, tht non-yorubas are not in other 'rusted' states in SW.

When it is time to satisfy ur ego with political calculations, u'll be claiming that non-indigenous populations in SW states are massive, almost equal to the indigenes. And that Jonathan will win because of that. Keep deceiving urself, 2015 is already staring at us in the face.

Just keep up with your insults, you are in for a rude shock come Feb next year. I just hope u don't breakdown with stroke from High BP when election results start coming in.

Politics › Misappropriation Of Funds Under Present Administration Alarming – Falae by agabusta(op): 9:46am On Oct 18, 2014
BY JUDE OPARA, ABUJA
Former Secretary to the Government of the Federation, Chief Olu Falae says the rate at which public fund is being misappropriated under the present administration is alarming even as he insisted that the level of unaccountability in government circles is unprecedented in the history of the country.

Falae
Chief Falae who spoke in Abuja on Wednesday during a session of the group known as the Credible Alternative Alliance (CAA) said the regrettable situation was being encouraged by the prevailing fiscal regime where government agencies and parastatles are allowed to operate accounts with commercial banks.
According to him, the ideal thing would have been a situation where all funds meant for government agencies were lodged with the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) from where they will withdraw funds for their projects.
“I am speaking from a position of knowledge because I have been there before and I know that it is possible to operate all these accounts under the CBN without any bottleneck as some people may want us to believe. What is happening now is that people will lodge huge sums belonging to government at various levels and after a time they will withdraw the interest which in most cases runs into billions of naira, to me that is part of corruption”.
Also while presenting his statement, National Coordinator of CAA Dr. Damian Ogbonna accused successive administrations in the country of failing the people because of what he described as the insatiable urge for uncontrollable impunity which among other things encouraged corruption.
He said that the CAA was formed in an effort to answer to the yearnings of the people for a new way and new form of governance devoid of what he described as the current rampant impunity in government.
“Therefore CAA was formed to collectively defend and advance progressive, democratic and patriotic entities and ideals in our dear country against the reactionary tendencies of a rudderless and immensely corrupt governing system which is without principles, ideology or direction”.
The association also took a swipe at both the ruling Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) and the main opposition party the All Progressives Congress (APC) for allegedly being the failed government of the elite that pay lip services to issues that concern the common man.

http://www.vanguardngr.com/2014/10/misappropriation-funds-present-administration-alarming-falae/

The graft and looting going on in Nigeria now under the current administration is highly unprecedented. I'm happy that elder statesmen are coming out now to speak against it.

What an irony, someone on this forum yesterday was saying picking Falae as VP was the uppercut President Jona wants to use in giving the APC the final blow.

Anyone expecting any meaningful development in Nigeria with the current high misappropriation of public funds is deceiving his/herself.

Cramjones is just playing games. More like a riddle. The guy is very smart. The video which was labelled 'cramjones reveals himself' does not have video.

The 2nd upload which has a video was specifically labelled Al Makura dancing, that has foreclosed the possibility of cramjones being Al Makura. Although, that was what he wanted a lot of people to believe.

But one interesting thing is that Cramjones is in that 2nd video, but he is not Al Makura.

Cramjones pls what purpose does this riddle serve?

Oshiomole is from the South-South. GEJ has served their turn.
You are right, GEJ seem to be serving the turn of the SS guys. But majority of people over there does not seem to care if it is the turn of the SE to get VP.

As I earlier mentioned, I would like to see a Buhari/Rochas ticket. But with the way a lot of SE peeps are abusing and insulting him over his decision to pitch his tent with the APC, that will reduce his electoral value.

Also they didn't stop at that, they are also going about with the claims that he didn't deliver much in the state. Now that carries weight, because why people like me support the opposition is based on the believe that they will perform. And that is why I'm now kind of preferring a Buhari/Oshiomole ticket.

But all the same, I still dont mind a Buhari/Rochas. So far he can muster votes even if it is only from his state sef.

Majority of people in Edo state strongly believe that Oshiomole did well and will support him to the letter. And his support cuts across all the states of the federation. Infact, Oshiomole on the ticket, will also convince some undecided Yorubas, as they also love him in yorubaland based on his antecedent as a labour union leader (Yorubas like human right activists).

But majority of Igbos bash Rochas and try to portray him as incompetent. Some even went to the extent of calling him an Alhaji [Ngige was not spared as well. Ngige was even christened a Yoruba name, Tunde. lol].

But I still dont mind a Buhari/Rochas ticket. So far he can muster votes, even if it is only from his state sef.

And what majority of Igbos do not recognize is that if Buhari picks Rochas and wins the election. That is the shortest route to having an Igbo president. Buhari may do only one term, and by that time, if they both perform well, Rochas would have been in a better position to defeat other young contenders from other parts of the country for the Number 1 slot.

Politics › Re: 2015: Buhari, APC Woo Okorocha For VP by agabusta: 4:17am On Oct 17, 2014
Chiwude:
Your permutations are not far from the truth honestly. But, APC can turn the tide around only if they drop sentiments when presenting their Presidential/VP candidates for the election. It is no longer a secret that the north-west vote will be sliced 70/30 in favour of Buhari. While 60/40 in the North/East and 65/35 in the North-Central favouring PDP respectively. Coming down South, one should expect a 60/40 votes for APC in the South/West (even if a Yoruba candidate is fielded) the reasons are obvious. While in the South/South a collossal 98/2 votes in favour of PDP.
Now, this is the part I think GEJ would definitely want to leverage on - the South/East vote. You will recall that the major reason GEJ floored Buhari in the 2011 election was to a large extent the overwhelming block vote he got from Ndigbo nation-wide. The South-East vote as it stands will be the determinant factor to who becomes President come 2015. If Buhari plays his card well by picking an influential Igbo VP, then it would be most certain that he would be sworn in as President next year. There is no two ways about it. Within 48hrs Ndigbo seeing their son in a campaign poster for either President or VP would surely reconsider where their interest lies. A vigorous campaign in the S/East by the suppose Igbo VP and the APC entourage will do the magic swinging the votes in Buhari's favour and dismantling GEJ believed strong-hold. Opinions that would mould the voting pattern of Ndigbo would be shaped to where lies its interest and the feasibility of an Igbo president in the years to come, unless GEJ decide not handing over to a northerner and secretly signs a pact to pick an Igbo man for President come 2019 - an idea I think he hasn't considered yet, due to the number of ass lickers with the tag 'Igbo Leaders' who have decided to selfishly sell their birthright for the spoils in government (Peter Obi inclusive).
Your analysis makes so much sense to me. I'm Yoruba, but I prefer a Buhari/Oshiomole or Rochas.

Why is nobody talking about Oshiomole? Oshiomole has massive supporters all over the country and he will be a very active VP to support a Buhari president.
Politics › Re: Stricly For APC Voters by agabusta: 6:58pm On Oct 16, 2014
I dont really mind, but since the Yorubas has had the opportunity of 8 years at the presidency, I would want the VP ticket to go to another tribe. Also, some people may also use that to go haywire again, screaming that indeed APC has a hidden Islamic agenda.

As such, I prefer:

Buhari/Oshiomole

or

Buhari/Rochas

How To Transfer Your Voters Card To Another Location

Introduction:-
A Nigerian has the right to live in any part of the country. An important part of voter registration is that an eligible person is advised to register at a centre nearest to him or her within the Ward in which he or she resides. This is to make it easy for the voter to access the polling unit and vote on election day.

However, a person who relocated to another place, outside the constituency in which he registered cannot vote in his new location unless he transfers his registration. Section 13 of the Electoral Act 2010 as Amended provides for Transfer of Registered Voters.

Procedure for Transfer:-

Step 1:
- The person who intends to transfer his registration will write an application to INEC’s Resident Electoral Commissioner of the State where he is currently residing.

Step 2:
- The applicant will attach his voters card to the application.

Step 3:
- The applicant must apply to the Resident Electoral Commissioner not later than 30 days before the date of an election in the constituency where he is residing.

Step 4:
- The Resident Electoral Commissioner will direct the Electoral Officer of the applicants Local Government Area to enter his name in the transferred voters list.

Step 5:
- The Electoral Officer will assign the applicant to a polling unit in his constituency.

Step 6:
- The Electoral Officer will issue the applicant with a new voters card

Step 7:
- The Electoral officer will retrieve the applicants previous voters card

Step 8:
- He will then send a copy of the entry to the Electoral officer of the constituency where the person whose name has been so entered was originally registered.

Step 9:
- Upon receipt of this entry, that Electoral Officer shall delete the name from his voters list.

Note: Apart from State Headquarters Offices of INEC, applicants can also submit their applications at the INEC Office in their Local Government Areas. The applications will be forwarded to the Resident Electoral Commissioner for necessary action.
