BlackTechnology: Shut up...and who told u our refusal of africom started with President Jonathan? |
Stanleyelege: Does sanusi move around with his stool?.The stool was provided by the host. If you look at the stool properly, you'll see that it bears encomiums of a Yoruba Oba written in Yoruba language. |
Donmarrius: I have been longing for this.Run your own race with focus. leave Lagos. Shuo! Why una beaf and envy for Lagos plenty like this ![]() |
laurel03: I like ds dog but no time for dog now.... One of my friend owns demThese dogs dey vex oh ![]() |
kristisking: When an enemy knocks at your door, danger is imminent. For how long will yorubas remain as slaves in the hands of northerners? You are the enemy that is knocking. P00r devi.lish soul trying to incite hate. And you seem to have a faulty brain. A traditional ruler leaves his palace and domain to pay homage to another traditional ruler and you are here talking trash. Is there any resemblance of servitude on display here? Infact, the Oba of Lagos looks better and more royal than HRH, Emir of Kano sef. |
emmasege: And somebody tells me SLS is not a religious bigot?. If the aim of the visit was to fraternize with the Yoruba nation, Oba of Lagos was not a good choice. The late emir of Kano had a very robust relationship with Ooni of Ife, the most prominent traditional ruler in Yoruba land, but I don't see the incumbent doing the same. He would rather desecrate that throne and bring more ridicule to the Kano emirate, mark my words! Its only your silly brain that connotes him as such. And you seem to be the pathetic bigot here. Who do you think you are, dictating who HRH, Amir Kano should visit? silly thing You have already shown your bigotry to the Kano emirate, so buzz off with your last line where you are trying to show some fake concern to them. |
Osho Baba! This guy in the race will give a lot of people headache. |
God will give u strength and favour u General. Corruption is the major problem we have in this country. Every other issue is tied to corruption. I believe in you to stamp out corruption. If corruption is effectively tackled, every other thing will be easily achieved. |
asala1: Also left out of the update were Ogun, Ondo, Osun, Oyo, Sokoto, Jigawa, Imo, Gombe, Ekiti and Ebonyi States. Sunnybobo3: anyone notice that majority of the states left out are APC states? It seems you have an eye problem. I see 5 APC states and 9 PDP states and 1 LP state (Ondo), which is a pseudoPDP state . |
Demdem: Foolish govt with their world class lies. Opiosko: Lol! See this drunk armchair analyst . A move towards Russia or any US rival for arms and defence matters at a time like this will cause the US to instigate a coup in Nigeria. GEJ is not dumb. Self preservation first. Its you that seems like the drunk armchair analyst to me. So what of the arm deals the Nigerian govt signed earlier this year with the Russians, running into billions of dollars. Where will you place that one?? |
BTT: Yes actually.Your statement does not make sense. How can sanctions disable the Russian economy from selling arms?? (An economy that needs money seriously to counter the effects of the sanctions) Do you think Russia is one puppet country that can be pushed around? Arms trading is one of the major source of earnings to the Russian govt. Military sanctions only takes effect if you want to buy from an ally nation of the country imposing the sanction. North Korea and Iran are under crippling US sanctions and they still do a lot of arms trading with Russia (buying) and they also sell to some other countries. |
zicoraads: Oh well...guess this is better than nothing. Sadly, they may have a point. The SA police got tipped by someone, an annonymous powerful someone.Reason it out well Bro. Nobody needs tip any info. SA is not as dumb as Nigeria. So you mean suitcases not labeled diplomatic cargo will just come into their country, and all the police, customs and other airport officials will just be looking at the passengers as they go through airport security without ascertaining its content. You people should use you head jor! |

acidosisTM: I'm really dissapointed in that Tinubu owned media house called TVC. Their staff lacks professionalism. Why should a so called journalist say stuffs like "T.B Joshua is feeling important"?So for a governor to insist on people trained to handle emergency situation to be in charge is hate? The way some people reason is amazing. |
The truth is bitter so our elders say. So far BBC has not reported what is not true, let them be. What is even with this new trend of tagging an entity an enemy just because of criticism? Don't u know that criticism always spurn the resolve to become better and thereby shame the critics? Instead of going about singing that BBC 'rubbishes' Nigeria, try and make your country a better place! Your write-up seems very cunny to me and I'm still trying to place it's purpose. You definitely have some half truths there, that u cunningly build your write-up around in order to create sentiments in d readers to dislike the BBC. You searched for Eko Atlantic city that is still undergoing construction, and because it gave u no return on BBC site, u concluded that is biased reportage. You claimed u searched for Lagos, and news about a collapsed church building came up. The BBC site u went is not a tourist site, it's a news channel! And media outfits all over the world give bad news a lot of attention. Here is a report on Eko Atlantic city by BBC for u (I hope u can see how balanced it is, with both the nice and 'not too nice', aerial photo shot of Lagos in the report). http://news.bbc.co.uk/2/hi/business/8473001.stm The slum picture u put there, was from that 3 series documentary on Lagos. If one watches that documentary, definitely one will get angry with BBC why they focused only on d slums in Lagos and didn't do documentary on d creme places....but those kind of places abound in Lagos! That documentary in the places they covered is the plain truth. I know those places. But i'm suspecting you cunningly tagged those pictures yourself. Pls show us a screenshot of BBC website that u saw where the picture was tagged 'Lagos urban areas' cos I have been searching for it on their site without success. Let our Govt respond and devote their energy into improving the standards of living of those terrible places. The BBC is even doing a favour for us if u don't know. We always unfortunately have insensitive Govt in Nigeria that only acts when issues have being blown open by media. For example, look at that terrible state of that Police training college Ikeja, assuming Channels TV did not throw it open, nothing will be done. If it was BBC that covered it then, it is still this same way u will be screaming that they are biased. In this our country, the state of convenience facilities in public offices and public schools are terrible! If BBC comes to cover that now and show to the world how insensitive people leading us are...i'm sure you'll be claiming they hate you. Please look inwards first. A lot of things are not right here, and people leading us at all spheres don't give a damn until it becomes a public issue. Please leave BBC, let them continue to show the rot in the system, instead of putting the heat on BBC, put the heat on your leaders to make amends! |
Pls do we have any warehouse health and safety professionals in the house? |
HOW TO STAY POSITIVE DURING A LONG JOB SEARCH Losing your job is devastating both financially and emotionally. You feel rejected and worried about the future. You embark on a job search as quickly as you can with the hope that you'll find a job quickly. When the weeks without an offer turn into months, you begin to despair. Your severance package, if you were lucky enough to have one, and unemployment insurance has kept you from dipping into your savings but those resources won't last forever. In a tough job market, even those who are extremely talented can be out of work for months at a time. While it is hard to be optimistic that things will turn around soon, it is imperative that you keep a positive attitude. Your own emotional well-being as well as the impression you make on potential employers depend on it. Here are some things you can do to keep your chin up when it feels like your job search is in dire straits. • Treat your job search like a job That means you should spend about eight hours on it each day. Get up on the morning at the time you did when you were employed and stop working no later than when you left your job for the day. Being proactive may contribute to your positive outlook. • Don't forget to take breaks While you should spend a respectable number of hours on your job search, you should take time away from it too. You must take a lunch break everyday, for example, and spend a few hours in the evening doing something you enjoy. Read, work out or spend time on a hobby. During this down time, don't pore over job announcements, rework your resume or practice job interviewing techniques. There is one exception. You can network during your downtime. Make plans to meet friends or acquaintances for lunch, dinner or coffee. • Take the time to do things you don't have time to do while you're working The one good thing about unemployment is having a somewhat flexible schedule. This gives you the ability to occasionally take time off during the day to do things you couldn't do when you had (and won't be able to do when you once again have) a job with regular hours. So if you want to go on your child's school field trip during the week, go for it. Have lunch with an old friend who can cheer you up. You can make up for lost job search time that evening. • Take on household chores you don't have time for when you are employed When you were employed, there's a good chance you came home from work exhausted each day. The last thing you may have wanted to do was tackle a chore like cleaning out the closets or painting the den. Since you will probably tend to your job search from home, you won't have a daily commute to deal with. Therefore your day will end a bit earlier and you may not be quite as tired as you were when you had to contend with traffic or crowded buses and trains. You'll also have some excess energy to get rid of before you retire for the evening. Those chores you put off can be just the thing you need to help you feel like you've accomplished something concrete. • Volunteer Look for a cause that you feel strongly about—one that can also use your skills and talents—and donate your time and energy to it. If you can work on this project during weekends when you won't be working on your job search anyway, that would be best. If you can't, it may be worth taking a few hours off from job hunting. Volunteering may provide a great opportunity to make connections and it will definitely allow you to do something really good. It can make you feel better when you are helping others. Just be sure not to abandon this gig entirely when you find a paying job. • Learn a new skill Learning something new can make you feel better about yourself in addition to making you more marketable. Since this is a time when you may not have a lot of extra money to spare, look for free online courses and low cost courses available through continuing education in your community. • Join a job hunting support group Check houses of worship and community centers. Share your experiences with others who are in the same situation. Source: About Careers.com http://careerplanning.about.com/cs/jobloss/a/chin_up.htm Please add other useful ways. |
sarutobie: "everyone knows obasanjo messed up," "he was a greedy and mean man that lost the opportunity to turn this country around"..and in that same breath you say " he has a very good quality"...dude teach me how you did this..how you turned black to white in one fell swoop..Chief nobody is bad entirely. That is the plain truth! Nobody is good entirely either. He was greedy and mean. But one good quality of his that I admire is that he was nationalistic in his approach as a leader of Nigeria. |
. |
Collynzo16: My statement was very clear, Obasanjo left power after 8 years in 2007 without building a single power station, what is there in laying an imaginary foundation? Is that alll he could achieve in 8 years? It seems u re engaging in selective reading, if not, u should have seen where I stated that some were completed. Six of these stations were completed before he left. I have already listed the 6 for u. U didn't limit ur assertion to only his 8 yrs democratic rule, tht was why I proved u otherwise. I'm not an Obasanjo fan, I didn't even vote for him the 2 times he stood for election, but that u want to criticise someone does not mean u should turn d truth upside down. This is so common in this country and it irritates me. Criticise appropriately pls. |
Collynzo16: The fact that Obasanjo's son is fighting in the north east doesn't make Obasanjo the best President or even a good one, people get real!Try and get ur facts right before engaging in senseless criticisms. Obasanjo built a good number of the power stations we have in Nigeria today. Obasanjo built the Jebba and the Shiroro Dam power staions, and he prepared the foundation of Egbin power plant which President Shehu Shagari completed and commissioned. http://www.thisdaylive.com/articles/obj-to-ibb-you-re-a-fool-at-70-ibb-to-obj-you-re-a-plunderer/96695/ During his 8 year tenure he laid the foundation of about 11 power plants. He completed some while others were nearing completion. Examples include Papalanto, Omotosho, Alaoji, Geregu, Afam II, Ikot Abasi-Ibom Power(Obasanjo's FG was a partner for its construction), http://www.vanguardngr.com/index.php?option=com_content&task=view&id=8057&Itemid=0 Everybody knows Obasanjo messed up. But that does not mean we should not acknowledge those things he did. He was a greedy and mean man tht lost the opportunity to turn this country around. But he has a very good quality which was that he was nationalistic in his thinking and approach. He was not a tribalistic leader. |
BlackTechnology: GbamThey have a choice of supporting whoever they want to support. You too have this choice. That is the beauty of democracy. |
Buhari is indeed the man for this country. I just love that man. So simple and honest with impeccable integrity. God will definitely judge those trying to taint his image. |
Nice one. Recover speedily and continue giving it to them hard! The resemblance is really there. |
Op go and find a better job to do. |
