Timkizzy33881:Find out if there is a discount for teachers at the creche. Most schools offer discount to their staff. |
NgeneUkwenu:You are right sha. The violence in that place has warranted the deployment of troops long time before now. Same with the violence being wrecked by Fulani herdsmen. But Buhari is just to slow with decisions. I don't know if it is the structure of the presidency that is not making information get to him on time or he is just confused. |
NgeneUkwenu:Wike and PDP will tag the move political and cry to the high heavens. The military guys will forget their mandate and objective the following week and start harassing innocent people. They will start collecting money from Okada and other people struggling to make a living. One will start seeing people doing frog jump on a regular basis. Our police force is stretched thin and grossly inadequate and incompetent, until issues go out of hand. We need to do massive recruitment into the police force or just swallow our pride and go ahead with state police. The police structure is not just working. |
djkirkoo2:The reverse is the case. Go and read their exchange, research the facts and then come back here to thank me. |
Meche33:Continue living in fool's paradise. It is allowed. |
Etuagievin:Oga use your head. So because he graduated with first class mean within 2 years of being a governor, Kaduna state will automatically turn to New York. It is gradual, and the man is sure setting a solid foundation for economic turn around for the state. Kaduna state is one of the best governed and not owing. |
Kentura:Must you put a tribal slur into everything? El Rufai is very intelligent and a first class material. He also walks his talks, unlike the twitter senator that is more active on twitter than the Senate chambers. |
honourhim:Let me help you a little. Exchange rate to some extent is not arbitrarily fixed. It all depends on your balance of trade and state of the economy. Exchange rate of dollar to naira at the parallel market was already sliding towards 300 before Jonathan left, chiefly due to the crash in the international price of crude that made Nigerian economy to slide into recession. Dollar to naira was never 199 when Jonathan left. That was the CBN rate that was never accessible. Just the same way the CBN rate is currently 305, but the market rate hovers around 360. |
yanshDoctor:Continue making uninformed utterances. |
yanshDoctor:...for your information, within this period you called insignificant, our consumption of petroleum products has gone up more than 200%. |
Omeokachie:....and did you read the sound analysis of the journalist that did the news? The report concluded by setting the facts right, after first reporting both claims. Go back and read it to completion. Don't be a lazy reader. |
yanshDoctor:Hss the oil gone up to what it was then? The 100dollars/barrel example you cited. Has international price of a barrel of oil gone up to $100? Is the population now same as at what we have then? Or don't you know increase in population results in increase in consumption. Is the daily consumption of petroleum products now same with what we have then? Is the daily demand for dollars for imports same as at then, with what we have now?? Pls put all these factors in your calculation for people to take it meaningful. |
yanshDoctor:And you think you are smart? What was the dollar exchange rate as at that time and now? Or don't you know that Nigeria imports the bulk of her petroleum products? Which means the landing cost of the product is hugely influenced by the exchange rate. |
iamrealdeji:Bros! Which year was EFCC formed? Which year did Idiagbon die? |
psychologist:1. The security is an outer security perimeter of the president. You want the president uncovered for someone to shoot an RPG at him? 2. The flag you saw is not Chinese flag but that of CCECC, the construction company handling the project. 3. Buhari is not posing. It seems you did not consider that the president faces hundreds of camera clicks each day. Lots of photo journalists and enthusiasts are in that place struggling to take his picture. Someone in his position takes picture just for protocol purposes. He go don already tire for pictures. |
melvin0004:Rented crowd in the North? Keep deceiving yourself. The president does not need to rent crowd anywhere. The office is an automatic crowd puller. |
modik:Stop beefing. Even if someone eagerly prays for and applies for a job, that does not mean the person should not be shown love, concern and encouragement if the workload seems enormous. |
If na APC or Buhari attempt this foolery, the whole social media would have been on fire! One would have been seeing comments like these:- ...APC invites online e-warriors for 2018 planning. ...Buhari zombies offered rice and stew to refire their propanganda. ...I can see sarrki sitting at the front with rapt attention for the task ahead ![]() ...Amaechi restrategizes on how to destabilise Rivers against 2019 election. ...5m naira was given to each e-warrior direct from CBN vaults. ...Buhari is cursed, the only employment created is that of e-warrior for APC ![]() ...Buhari is a disaster to Nigeria, ...Buhari zombies and BMC invited for briefing , etc Hypocrisy is what will not make this country develop so fast. This is totally callous and wrong of the governor. No regards at all for the lives lost except for the display for press. In such a short time to the sad incident, he is already hosting social media influencers to dinner. Social media influencers? Imagine such nonsense. Someone that is supposed to be having meeting with security agencies on how to tackle the myriads of security problem in his state. It is now obvious that Wike is more interested in politics than governance. Rivers don enter serious one chance. *** Soot has also descended on Port Harcourt and the governor is turning a blind eye to that. All these our leaders sef. |
Caseless:You seem to have time, this one na robotic person na E no fit change, until reprogrammed. |
This is good. He needs to continue speaking authoritatively in this manner over all issues. Especially on the killings tagged "fulani herdsmen killing". Nigerians want to hear their leaders talk and show some action. That was the way Obasanjo was able to achieve some results and favorable public opinion. |
deomelo:Thumbs up! You are very correct with the bold parts. |
ManMountain:I just dey pity the man. Discos, Gencos and Transmission company will hit him from both sides. National Assembly and gas suppliers will hit him from the top. The citizenry is not providing any respite and psychological encouragement. They are also hitting him from below at every opportunity. Saboteurs are also hitting him from below. In fact, the guy dey see pepper from all sides. I just hope he won't breakdown in his attempt to please everybody. Contrary to people abusing him, the guy sure has a resilient brain. His work load is just too enormous. |
Restored at 4.05am, just after my initial comment. Area covered by Eko Electricity Distribution Company on Lagos mainland. I never imagined they will restore light so quick due to the pessimistic comments flying around on social media. Chai, Nigerians sha. With the comments, one would think the whole grid and everything don scatter. ![]() |
This is a good way of giving tax payers update on issues. Kudos! Government responsiveness seems to be improving. I definitely know that grid collapse would have occurred many times in times past without the information going round as it is now due to improved communication and media tools. And those times, govt just didn't give a damn. Fashola is really trying with the Ministry of Power and works. And if given the necessary support by Nigerians and the National assembly, he will deliver. He is showing a passion unrivaled by previous ministers. And giving regular updates. But he needs to do more as regard metering. |
Yian1:The people is a reflection of the type of leaders they get. 70% of Nigerians are like the leadership. Some of them have not just had the opportunity to demonstrate their dishonesty, greed, selfishness, corrupt ways and incompetence at the Federal/State level. If you want to be sincere, you'll see these traits in their little areas of influence. Be it in a local community association, church, mosque, old students association, school students' union/departmental associations, etc Same story of misappropriation, dishonesty, incompetence in leading, among other traits we see among those in governance positions. Those doing well in leadership positions at the Federal/State levels are those in the competent and selfless 30% category. To make Nigeria better, we need to push up the number/percentage of honest, competent and hardworking Nigerians. If we do this, we'll increase the probability of getting good leaders in places of authority. ![]() Before starting at the top, change yourself and all those around you first. And let them too change those around them and let it cascade all around. This wishful thinking of getting one or two good leaders in place, working with thousands of greedy, dishonest and incompetent folks will not work. We need a massive National reorientation and enlightenment. |
Caseless:Yes, same here. I like both of them. But Amaechi should cool down and let whoever wants to contest to do so without arm-twisting anybody. He should just support whoever he wants and as a party leader ensure there is no bitter rift after the primaries. A primary election with many heavyweight contenders that is well managed always makes a party popular even before the main election. All these self acclaimed political Godfathers in Nigeria are not innately democratic. Since independence till date, they have been engaging the instrument of imposition of preferred candidate instead of campaigning for the person by showing why the person is a better candidate. And the funniest part is that they have always refused to learn from history that imposition of candidates always causes problems for the party. PDP's 2015 election loss was also attributable to the imposition of GEJ as a sole candidate that led to the ease out of a number of disgruntled heavyweights from the party. Imposition should be resisted, let everyone have a fair playing field, and let the most popular and strategic win. Simple |
magoo10:Stop deceiving yourself. It's like that in all political parties including the PDP. We have not fully imbibed the tenets and spirit of democracy. We are just skimming the surface. |
Cool, not bad. |
GAZZUZZ:For real? Pls do you have an idea how much one of those American specs cost for a 75amps? I change batteries every 1.5 yrs. I don tire. The one I bought Oct last year is already showing some unfriendly signs. ...you didn't talk bout my second question. Want to get a mini-van, but mi lady doesn't like Sienna. |
GAZZUZZ:Pls how long is a good battery supposed to last on the average? Also, kindly share your opinion on how rugged Odyssey 2005 upwards is. |
To some people we should keep building official residence every 4 years. |
