Dt match will determine our fate in d competition, hopefully we win d game and top d group
A win in that match will be a morale booster which will make our boys to be on cloud nine.

It'll go a long way to increase the confidence level of team and gives them believe they need against other oppositions.

Diego Simeone Explains Nigeria Would Have Already Qualified Before Facing Argentina.

One of the most respected coaches in the world and an Argentina World Cup star, Diego Simeone, has picked Croatia as the South Americans toughest opponents in Group D of the 2018 World Cup.

On paper, Simeone argued that the Super Eagles would have accumulated at least four points before they face off with Argentina, which makes their final match of the group a must win fixture.

''The danger in the area is how the games are played, I do not like the order of the matches. Because it happened to us, it happened to us in Japan,'' Simeone told Argentine newspaper La Nacion

''Nigeria was the weakest and the first, Sweden was better and in the middle was England, the most powerful. The same as now. Iceland, in theory, all imagine that it will be the easiest rival. If Croatia and Nigeria draw their first game, then a win against Croatia in the second game is mandatory. I explain?

''What happened to us in Japan: we won the opener against Nigeria. But England and Sweden tied. Everyone was happy, but then Sweden beat Nigeria and we were going to the field to play against England and we knew that we could not lose that game. And it happened. Now, of course, if you win the first two games, it will be much easier and none of these accounts will make sense.

''But it is clear that Croatia will be the toughest opponent and that they are in the middle I do not like. You can get to play on the last date against Nigeria, the two with four points or even them with four and we with three, and we know that between the two always the obligation will be Argentina.
''It can go wrong, we already know it. But I explain further: if Nigeria beat Croatia and we beat Iceland; then the second group match with Croatia is dicey because for them it is key, and Nigeria would beat Iceland to add six points.''

Nigeria and Argentina will face off for the fifth time in a group game at the World Cup on June 26, 2018 at Krestovsky Stadium, Saint Petersburg.

I have concerns over our striking department.

Just take a lot at the strikers we have in the fold. Only Ighalo and Nwakaeme seem to be getting the desired playing time. And of course we know how we rate the leagues in which they play. Iheanacho and Kayode that I felt by now should be the two weapons of destruction in the team are not really measuring up club- wise. Iheanacho's case is even worse.

As it is now I am open to any striker that can add value to the team. If we are clamoring for competition in the defense then we should also do same for the attack.

The other day joebie rolled out a list of defenders he wants to see in camp. Why all the emphasis on the defense? As far as I am concerned by the time Rohr screens out the best of the crop of defenders we have already we are good to go. I am not even rooting for any new inclusion in the defense.

Where I want Rohr to throw in competition is in the attack. Rohr and his crew should monitor Paul Onuachu and Junior Ajayi closely. They may turn out to be better than 1 or 2 of the strikers we have already.

As for Tammy. I think we should leave him out of the world cup. If truly he wants to play for Nigeria his loyalty should be tested with a trip to Libya or Seychelles.
TRUE TALK.

The search for a reliable and capable marksman(9) continues.

paxonel:
1. what is faith?
Faith in the bible simply refers to religion. In the light of christianity, it refers to the christian religion which is THE CHURCH.
Acts 16:5. And so were THE CHURCHES established in the faith(as a religion), and increased in number daily.
Other synonyms of Faith apart from THE CHURCH are :
a. Gods kingdom or heaven on earth(people practicing christianity). Matthew 12:28.
b. Grace. John 1:17
c. Christianity. Act 1:15

2. How does one have faith?
There are only two ways one can have faith.
a. By hearing the word of God and being convinced that Jesus is the Christ(the coming Messiah of the Jews). Romans 10:17.
b. One can also have faith by being born into a christian home. Such person don't need to be preached to be convinced that christianity is the way. He was brought up and groomed to believe in Christ from childhood by his parents. 1 Timothy 2:15.

3. What are the laws?
every tribes and states of the world have their own traditional laws, the Jews in the bible had the mosaic laws as their traditional laws which includes offering of sacrifices, tithing, washing of hands before eatting,.. etc
4. Does the law and commandments mean the same thing?
Yes, they mean the same thing.
Among the 10 commandments, six of them are universal laws which are applied to all people or all tribes of the world(not only the Jews). Thou shall not kill, thou shall not bear false witness, honour your parents,.. etc.

5. What does it mean to fullfill the law?
To fullfil the six commandments which are parts of the 10 commandments is simple. Just love your neighbour as yourself that's all. But for you to do that successfully you have to be educated enough to understand what your neighbour desires. That means, you will need to go to school grin

6. How can one be saved?
This is an incomplete question, saved from what?
are you referring to.
a. Salvation into eternal life
or
b.salvation from earthly sorrows?
a. If you want eternal life believe in Christ(which is to join christianity) thats all. John 3:16
b. If you want to be saved from earthly sorrows and enjoy your life here on earth then you have to go to school first (either formal or informal). Graduate, get employed, start making your money, help the needy around you and enjoy.

7. What is the difference between being saved and being born again?
Being saved and being born again are two different things in that, what Jesus meant by born again to Nicodemus was an event that happened before Jesus was crucified, there was no christianity(salvation) as at the time Jesus was talking to Nicodemus, so born again and salvation will not possibly mean the same thing.
Christianity or salvation started after Jesus resurrected. If you research into it you will see the difference, i will not go much into it in this post because i have already said a lot here. If you ask me again i will expantiate on it with scriptures.

8. What is work?
Work refers to the activities of men mosty keeping the law, doing good to all men(as against faith or believing in Christ only). As good as works is, it do not guarantee salvation, only faith do .
thanks for taking your time to answer.

INTERVIEW – Ogu: Why I Believe Super Eagles Will Go Far At Russia 2018 World Cup

Completesportsnigeria.com’s JOHNNY EDWARD gets Super Eagles and Hapoel Beer Sheva midfielder, John Ogu talking, about his stint so far with the World Cup bound Gernot Rohr’s team.

# You were an unused substitute in the Super Eagles’ first five games of the World Cup qualifying campaign, but finally got a chance to play in the dead-rubber clash against Algeria which ended 1-1. What went through your mind during those period?

To be honest, nothing went through my mind during those period. I was there trying to stay prepared to give my best whenever the chance comes. I felt like that at some point, but the joy is that everyone was doing well and we were winning games. I’m happy that at the end of it all we qualified and I got a chance to play against Algeria. As a team, we played better. We were in control and coming out with a 1-1 draw was great. We were just out to do the country proud and I’m glad that it turned out well.

# Did you lose faith in the system, especially with a self belief that you possess the quality to start games as well?

Hmmm no. There wasn’t a time I lost faith in the system because of the qualitiies of players starting the games. Also my relationship with the manager gave me more confidence before I got my chance which was very key. I was just excited to be called up to the team and the fact that we qualified for the World Cup in Russia seamlessly. We achieved qualification without struggling a bit unlike in the past when we had so many difficulties. So for me, that was something to cheer about, rather than sulk on the bench.

# The current Super Eagles managed to stay unbeaten during the World Cup qualifying campaign. Just how good is this team judging from how you all played against Argentina, in which you were a beast in the midfield?

The win against Argentina says a lot about the Eagles and we won’t rest on our oars going into the World Cup. We have been together and we keep reminding ourselves we are here for a reason. Kudos to the coaches, the NFF and the fans who supported us all the way.
First of all, the unity in the team has been key as we reach out for one another. Fighting for ourselves made us stronger too. The Super Eagles qualifying for Russia 2018 without losing was no fluke,
and we showed that in the friendly against Argentina despite the fact that we were without five key players and the Argentine team paraded top quality players as well, regardless of Lionel Messi, Gonzalo Higuian and Mauro Icardi missing the game.

# You have played in different formations at club level. How difficult or easy was it playing in a 3-5-2 formation with the Super Eagles against Argentina?

It wasn’t difficult playing in the 3-5-2 formation, but the fact that the Super Eagles had one training session saw the team struggle in the first half. But we picked up in the second half and showed the class we were made off. Scoring four goals against an Argentine star-studded side isn’t a fluke at all. We worked it out with our bond.

# Would you prefer the Super Eagles maintain this 3-5-2 formation when the missing players return, or rivert to the old 4-2-3-1?

That is for the manager to decide. I’m just in the team to carry out his match-day plan.

# Nigeria has faced Argentina more than any other team at the World Cup. Are you comfortable facing the La Albiceleste again in Russia, with the likes of Lionel Messi and Mauro Icardi in the squad?

There are no easy teams all the teams that have qualified will be tough. We have to prepare for a game as it comes. It’s the World Cup and not a friendly, so other factors will come to play. It’s going to be Nigeria vs Argentina and not Lionel Messi vs Nigeria. As a team, we have the quality to break them down again even with the inclusion of Messi. They have had it smooth in the past, but it’s time to end that jinx against Argentina in Russia.

# How far do you think the Super Eagles can go in Russia?

It’s not going to be easy. We will be out there to win games and play quality football. We have the talent and quality to go far.

# Watching the World Cup as a growing kid, tell us your best memory as a fan?

Watching the world Cup as a fan was the game involving Nigeria and Spain in France 1998. We won 3-2, I remember the goal Sunday Oliseh scored won us the game. That team showed determination and great strength which is what we are also imbibing. We will go far in Russia.
The bolded is what a team sport like Football is all about. The better the understanding the better the performance!

Surely Sir. Got this late. Let's hope things go well on the local scene this year. now that Victor Mbaoma and Oche Salefu have returned to Remo stars after their failed move to Mfm coupled with Sunday Faleye who is lost in a transfer tussle between 3Sc and the academy that owns him, nor forgetting Jude aneke who is with Ikorodu united, we hope the competition in the NNL becomes hotter and interesting.

lets wish for less of walkover, banished teams, abandoned matches and violence in stadia. more of fair play, publicity and transparency, more away wins like that of last season and hopefully a team from NNL wins the Aiteo cup and represent 9ja at the 2019 Confederations cup. *winks*

Quick Stats : Errrm FCT does not have any team in the top 2 divisions of league football in the country, this was after FRSC and Fc Abuja got relegated from the NNL northern division last season. Fc Abuja was the last to appear in the Npfl while FRSC have only been as high as NNL.
thanks for this info.
I was hoping Mbaoma will seal that deal with the Olukoya boys. That would have been +ve for him. I could remember He was one of the contender for the NPFL topscorer award in the early part of last season before he had injury. I hope he bounces back.

2. How does one have faith?
3. What are the Laws?

EVERTON DOCTORS SAYS ONYEKURU'S INJURY NOT SERIOUS

Everton doctors have determined that Henry Onyekuru’s knee injury is not grievous as was widely reported. The young striker will be out for only six weeks and not six months.
Onyekuru
The player was reportedly examined by Everton doctors and the MRI scans of the injury have revealed that he may not be needing surgery but minor treatment. Onyekuru has been allowed to return to Belgium to recuperate.
Onyekuru hurt his knee at the weekend during a league game with Anderlecht at former club KAS Eupen.
Initial media reports suggested his season was effectively over and that could also mean his hopes of playing at the World Cup in Russia.
good news.

But him coach no try at all. He has been trying all his possible best to frustrate this guy. He started by benching his best player and backing his decision with flimsy excuses and so on.

The biasness of these foreign coaches towards Nigeria players is becoming apparent and undenying. I have been studying this trend for a while. They all seem to have some kinda view towards our players which seems to be some sort of conspiracy to me.

This behavioural pattern makes me to object the notion that "we haven't/can't produce quality players who can compete with the elite of the game".

I'm tempted to agree with Sir Icon4s who once attributed our players inability to progress steadily in europe to the NIGERIAN FACTOR. Or how can one explain the level of callousness metted out to our players worldwide.
Recently Utretch manager has been benching Dessers and limiting his actions not be cause he is injured or poor (atleast he is one of their top scorer and your guess is as good as mine on what has warrants such treatment). Iwobi suffers the same fate. Moses was never given chance through out his loan moves across England, Musa has been treated unfairly in Leicester and so on.

But some folks will come online, jumping at every opportunity to question these boys quality comparing them to those who haven't switch allegiance yet. Bringing out some STAT in the name of being factual when they themselves know that the field of play is not FAIR.

I can bet you that the likes of SOLANKE, TAMMY, IBE etc careers will be a TOAST if they dare declare Nigeria.
Or do guys still think these boys will still be making matchday squad if they were Nigerians? 10games without a goal, no goal in as many matches in this season etc.

My Stance is this, give our players the chance and environment to thrive and see what they are capable of. Their quality can only be verified with the amount of chances given to them to prove their WORTH. V. Moses is a testimony to this.
SportsRe: "The Super Eagles Thread: The Road To AFCON 2027, 2028 And 2030 World Cup by AIG07:
I'll pick a team comprising of average players which plays as a unit, understands each other as a result of team cohesion over a star studded side full of players who play for themselves anytime any day.

This present SE's team may not have the calibre of players known with our previous world cup teams(excluding the '14 group) but they have a team spirit, the cohesive bond is getting thicker and stronger with every passing match, the team chemistry is also improving with every game e.g the players now know where Iwobi will be (just right at the edge of the 18-yard box) any time we're in the final-third.

There positional understanding is amazing unlike what we do have in the 2000s which is due to the team's stability(a cause to worry about for our opponents) and most of all the team is balanced with both young and old players who are not ready to go down without putting on a fight. They've made up for their lapses in quality with the above attributes and I see them soaring this time around.

The NFF, media and the fans should understand that this is not the moment to force some world cup induced performing players(the Ogbeches), the unpatrotic ones who have once rejected us(the IBEs, Tammys) during our trying moments and the super rich ones who will always want to buy their way into the team on the coach through our unrelenting pestering to include this player and that player... This is the time to rally round the team and give them our unwaivering supports. Trusting the coach on team selection, believing in the players
that they'll deliver and stop the unnecessary comparism with older generations who have played their own part in the history of the sport in this Great Nation!

Pls don't let us mixed things up.Cliub performance is the only way to national team especially early invitation.

Fernando Torres invitation despite being out of form was based on his previous performance for Spain,no new player or upcoming player would enjoy that privileged just like how Mikel was getting the invitations under Rohr and not making Chelsea day squad or what do you want to say about Musa and right now Iheanacho.

They are enjoying this privilege cos they distinguished themselves in their early invitations in eagles colours,so for a player to enjoy this he must prove himself first in his club then consistent performance in the national team.
your first paragraph spelt it out. Yes First invitation. Club performance get a player noticed. It get's him his first call up. Replicating that performance that got him invited in the national side is another thing.

Baffles me how someone can replicate his form without being invited. As for Mark Alonso, he is not a better option than Jordi Alba. Off the top of my head. I can guess there are other players better than him and that is why he has not been invited.
you Know better but I'm not suprise this is coming from you. I know you'll go to any length to defend your school of thought.

Here is one question for you. I won't go far this time around.
Ighalo was turning heads up, tearing anything in his way while playing for Watford yet still he struggled to net a goal for Nigeria despite been in the form of his life. Why didn't he replicate such form for the national team despite his multiple invitations? Atleast he was invited several times.

You deserve a bowl of full chicken for dinner.
A bowl!? That'll be too much. But I won't mind it for New Year celebration.

Sir, what is your view on our defence considering that most of our defenders have never played in any international tournament before?

Then why is the performance at your club a major factor in inviting players??
look, club performance puts players in the spotlight and gives them the necessary recognition.

Have you ever wonder why some players keep getting call ups despite under performing in their clubs? Spain kept inviting Torres even while performing abysmally for Chelsea. Fabregas was always one of the first name on the list despite not having enough playing time with Chelsea. That's one country as an example. Do you know while their coach kept faith with them-it was because he knew that they'll deliver.
Marcos Alonso has been phenomenal for Chelsea since last year. Do you know what? He is still hoping for his First invitation.

If I'm too tow your line of proposition, every player that comes to the spot light(is in form) should be invited ba? You can't have a national team by inviting all players base on their club performances alone or else you'll only be having new sets of players to execute each match...

Even Rohr knows this. That's while he has been inviting Musa, Onazi before he moved to Turkey, Moses Simon etc.
Onyekuru has been having Stellar performances consistently for his clubs but still he has only been having epileptic call-ups.

To cut the story short, club performance is one thing and replicating it in the national team is another.

People still de this Uzoho matter.

Well, I've never seen a SANE coach put an untested rookie in goal at a major event like the World Cup and a CONSERVATIVE Rohr won't do a gamble of such Magnitude.

My experience tells me that club performance can sometimes be a contrast from national team performance.
That's it! Club football and National team Football are DIFFERENT.
This is what majority of folks here are finding hard to come to terms with.

Hmm, so you think he is no longer overhyped but a prospect. Hahahaha!

If Kayode whose harvest of goals that helped catapulted Maccabi to the Israeli top flight, and prompted the club doubled his salary is still prospect, if Kayode who became the third highest goal scorer in his first season in the Israeli top flight league and later went to became the third highest goal scorer in the Austrian league the next season, and if Kayode who in his second season became the top goal scorer and best player in the Austrian league is still a prospect to you, even after all these in a space of 4 seasons, then I know you have not critically analysed his career but have spoken as one of those Nigerians who are always carried away by the wind of sentiment or interested in other meaningless issues.

If Kayode is a prospect then what is Kelechi at 21 and Nwakaeme at 28? world class, ba? shocked

Well, it is your opinion and it remains so because Guardiola and Man city know better hence the reason they bought him and sent him to the best league in the world.

Abi, you just think they just wan spend money on a 24 years old player wey come over hyped join?

Hahaha! No be you wan see Nwakaeme who struggled for two good seasons before he found his foot to become the second highest goal scorer last season in the Israeli top flight league to be given a chance because you believe he is better than Kayode at 28 years old?

Oga! See what happened before Guardiola bought kayode.

A bold statement to make, however, sources close to the player’s camp told KweséESPN that Pep Guardiola watched films of the youngster for two months before making a decision on him. if true, that tells its own story, and a good one too.

Merry Christmas.
I Can see you're really enjoying the holiday.

I need you to finish that Christmas chicken, push it down with any drink of your taste. Get a tooth pick and pick out the residues. You seem to be stuttering and you can't hear yourself clearly(no insult intended).

Let me help you. Here is your post. Emphasis on the bolds

Aggressive? I don't think so but if you think otherwise, my apologise.

However, if you claim Iheanacho is going through hard times but you can't say the same for Kayode then I know the big log of wood in your eyes can't make you see things in a more reasonable and critical way. Sentiments and lopsidedness are the keynotes of your points.

Why? Kelechi has flopped big time in the past seasons and it is the past glory of three seasons ago that is his saving grace for a look into the National team else he should not be called in the first place.

About being the most clinical forward, that is a big fallacy if you meant CF because he has failed severally in that position hence the need for Rohr to find him a suitable postion. That was why he was played as a RW and SS in our last games.

Now, talking about Kayode. Did you watch him played this season? If no, I understand you relied on hearsay or statistics to make your points because if you saw him played you would had known he was played in various positions and he was brought on to play when he either had to defend or faced a defensive team.

Overall, his performance will be the deciding factor at the end of the season.

Moreover, Mane who came from the lowly Austrian league has gone ahead to be nominated for APOTY award ahead of Kelechi whom you think is from EPL.

Don't forget it took Griezman three good seasons before he became an house hold name in the la liga. What does that means?

You can decode a player with prospect even if his situation are not tantalizing but a player without a prospect during the course of a season or two is as good as flop. That is how you scout a player. No bi by name or tribal mark.
stop contradicting yourself.
