bigtt76: Funny and it finds its way to the Frontpage of Nairaland.... I'm sure Oga Seun won't find this funny though. Network SIM Card cannot be used to withdraw from an ATM opponent Mods! It's chip encryption algorithm is not the same as that of a debit card nor does it store bank details of account owners. May be if I were not in the industry I would have swallowed it all buh I'm can't Exactly my thinking! Different information encoded |

The last 2 weeks, it had difficulties landing for 1 and half hours in port harcourt going up and down, it was one of the most dreaded time of my life and finally it landed. Going back to Lagos was bad, flight delayed from 5.00pm to 11.30pm, so many people went back. Flight from Abuja came to pick us eventually that night. I entered Lagos 12.45am. Flew the same route 9J 341 yesterday. I'm still thanking God |

AdolfHitlerxXx: Bought perfumes from Italy and shipped it in through FedEx
Was slammed with a bill of over 60k (25%) of the value.
Don't make the mistake of shipping in
1. Large quantities
2. Through FedEx
That's the actual duty Nigerian Customs demand but i had shipped through other courier companies without issues
To be honest, won't be surprised if FedEx guys on Lagos divert this "Custom charges" ...seen a lot of negative experiences online They can't. FedEx pays the duty to customs then collects it from you |

AngelicBeing: Good question, it is the same useless criminals called customs that aide almost every irregularities in the port, I recalled when I brought in a container, my clearing agent told me that he was advised to reduce the original age on all the vehicles in the container so that he could pay less duty, I frowned at it but before I knew what was happening they cleared the container, my point is customs and almost all the security apparatus at the port are criminals and they deserve to be flogged So you gave your agent instructions not to falsify information and he did? Against your wish? What did you do about it? |

Jethrolite: Doctors find it hard to get employed and many settle for really poor pay in private hospitals. Being a doctor in Nigeria will not guarantee you a comfortable life even when employed.
Also ICT personnel in telecommunications earn way more than the average oil worker. You can not categorise telecommunications companies with servicing companies in the sector, it is like saying getting a job with Chevron (blue badge) is the same with getting a job in Forte oil. You cannot mention Mtn, Glo, Airtel and 9mobile in the same sentence with IHS Towers.
Please conduct better research next time, this does not tell well about your consulting firm and the research it does. Not true. Oil companies pay packages do not include the perks that come with the job. |

Its the wise move to make
If they intend to expand, then we need to take advantage
Government should partner with Samsung Heavy Industries to build capacity in ship making and this can be done by offering tax rebates and other incentives to encourage partnership
Look at the oil industry, 20+ years after and we still have jobs that can only done by expatriates Thread is about Samsung Mobile bro |

Vicjustice: Everything that this guy said is nothing but the reality, yet, not even all the negative realities that are mentioned. I have not only been to Turkey and Greece, I have lived in these two countries, and I am a first hand witness of how blacks are treated: i did see racial profiling with my own eyes in both countries especially from their police officers. In Turkey, the presense of a couple of blacks in a bus station is enough to attract a squad of police officers into passport control, and the officers are willing to negotiate and accept bribes to let you go. And in Greece, a black man driving a flashing car (apart from in Athens or Thessaloniki) is enough to cause a high spead chase, and the black man is commanded to get off the car, put his hands on the roof of the car, spread his legs apart while the police officers search him for drugs, and any money that is found on him would need serious explanation: Greek police can't be bribed. Experience would teach you that (as an African) it is wise to cooperate with them through the provoking humiliation or you may make things worse for yourself, except you are a black EU citizen who they usually avoid to prevent intervention from your country Unfair. Do you know what the Albanians go through? Pontiac Greeks Nkọ? Russians? Eastern European ladies are often raided for prostitution. Yes blacks get profiled but so do many other nationalities. Even Greeks themselves get profiled |

moneybag100: Wao!!! So things are even worse in south cyprus than north...I have a friend who just got a cable visa to study in south cyprus , I will rely this message to him, if he like make he hear. It's untrue that things are worse in the Republic of Cyprus (erroneously referred to by the OP as "South Cyprus" . The Republic is way more developed and more accommodating. The problem is that when Nigeriand get given allow they want allowance. Tell your friend to be cautious about a city called Limassol. Russians run the show there |
