How will you feel if you are an American and you see advertisement of some entity offering service for foreigners to come into your country solely for the purpose of giving birth so the child will be American citizen. I mean some people are making money off this scheme. Worse part is some do not even take care of their healthcare bill.

Politics › Re: Buhari, Not Jonathan To Be Blamed For $9bn Judgement Debt, Says P&ID by ajl: 4:33am On Aug 31, 2019
The people in power do not know how things work in the West. They slacked and allowed a UK entity pursue the case in a UK court which will likely go their way.

Secondly, they had the option to agree to earlier proposition of over $900 million but again they slacked. It's like me getting my T-Mobile telephone service on contract and along the line decided to discontinue the service before the end of the contract. I am bound to pay a penalty. If I decide to ignore the required payment, the amount will increase. And if I choose to continue ignoring payment, the company can take me to court depending on amount involved. This of course will increase the amount I have to pay significantly. That's the way it individually, and generally.

Mad people....
Look at the criteria they used. It's not largely about crime level.

I am not challenging their conclusion on Lagos based on the criteria stated. I am sad to say this, Lagos is a dangerous city not because the people are dangerous by themselves but because the human conditions and state of infrastructure is extremely poor. You see people crossing highways at will because there isn't overhead bridge, Or people choose to be suicidal crossing the highway right under the overhead bridge. There is chaos all over and its like there is no one in charge. From highways to inner city to beaches, there is wastes all over with plastic bottles taking over scarce drainage and beachside. Lagos need problem solvers to be in charge not your typical politicians. If you love profering solutions to problems and challenges, Lagos is the place to be. As usual the weakest link is the government and a largely docile populace.

Why can't Europe come to Buhari in Abuja. And that 50 million Euro he signed for, hope he didn't just signed away something bigger. Nigerian government have been signing all these kinds of agreements for a long time, and what impact has it have on the ordinary citizens. Many of you in government do not have a clue how the mindset of an European work. In your little mind, they are helping you without you knowing you are giving a lot more away.

Pls if you don't know what to say just get out here ok don't upset me this morning. Do you understandhuh

I'm not supporting crime but these South Africa bastards are naturally evil so do we say because Togolesse come to Nigeria as house help and they kill their boss means we should be attacking any Togoleesse on the streethuh

South Africans are shameless bastards and they will pay for their hate against fellow black one good day. This is why I never respect that f u c k I n g Mandela because all these started when the old fool prisoner was the president and Buthelezi was runing his anger against Nigeria and Ghana then I remember vividly.

I have no single respect for South African.
Please tell us how often you read news of Togolese househelps killing their employers. Yes, we xenophobia is inhuman and should not be happening but let us face ourselves and tell each other the truth. We have a mess on our hands, and that's part of what we are exporting. We know this done by few Nigerians but the effect is huge.

We will be ready to leave SA but they must close shops also in Nigeria, we can't leave without them leaving Nigeria also.
But virtually all South Africa businesses here in Nigeria are corporations. The kind of businesses they do here in Nigeria, our people don't do that in S.A.. And when was a south African arrested or accused of drug peddling or human trafficking in Nigeria. Let us be honest with ourselves, some Nigerians are constituting a nuisance in many countries around the world.

And how many Nigerians in S.A. pay tax compared to huge tax paid by few SA businesses here in Nigeria. Most Nigerians over there are part of informal sector. I watched a south African official complain that some foreigners just want to do things the way they want, like doing road-side businesses just like we do in Nigeria creating headaches for other road users. You cant bend the rule in another man's country. My 3rd week in Lagos, and the level of chaos and disorder here is mind-blowing. Is that what we want to export.

I don't want to sound tribalistic, but one other thing they mentioned aside crime is insulting their people. If we will be honest with ourselves, this is a trait common to Igbos everywhere they are accommodated, from Northern Nigeria, to Lagos to South Africa.

When I was serving, the way some igbo colleagues talk about the place we served (Abeokuta) you will think they came from Dubai or Paris and ABK is some shithole with the people eating shit.

You don't go to a man's land and call him names, or make him look less than he is, let us learn to respect people and watch the way we talking.

ALSO money is not everything, Crime does not pay
The same things some Nigerians do in the United States saying African-American are lazy. I am not singling out any particular tribe for this. How can you go to another man's country and be boasting doing name-calling. If we are that wise as we continue to claim then why can't we fix our mess back home. There is virtually nothing to be proud of at this point as a Nigerian.

Nigerians that want to use the best cars, use the best gadgets, and live in the best houses but can't manufacture ordinary toothpick until recently.
Politics › Re: Nigerians Must Go - South Africans Say On Facebook (Screenshots) by ajl: 8:28am On Aug 30, 2019
Good talk by few South Africans. I thought we Nigerians always boast we are smarter, this and that, more than most other Africans. If that is true, then why can't we stay back and fix our country. I live in US and want Nigerians all over the world including me to be "embarrassed" back to our country of origin so that we dont have it at the back of our mind that there is anywhere to run to. Then we will standup to our enemies back home and work hard to fix this country.

Why is this dude enjoying the good things of life, yet frowns at pastors who do the same?
I tire for Nigerian youths. Is it this bad? That you can't make a distinction between individuals that literally "scam" poor masses in the name of religion, collect tithes, sleep with followers wives and often rape young female followers, from private citizens who hussle on their own without taking advantage of the poor masses. Except if the individual is Yahoo-yahoo, which most of the pastors are anyway.

What's your IQ? A pastor collecting money as tithes from poor masses compare to a private individual that made his money on his own. If pastors want to ride best cars or fly in personal jet, they leave the pulpits and go found a business. They should stop stealing from the poor in the name of religion.

I blamed the prince and the palace. So, you are going to visit a community of immigrants without having a knowledge of their culture. It's a known fact you avoid physical contact with islam-practicing women especially from the middle-east. It's the prince that choose to disrespect their custom, not the other way round. That they reside in Norway does not mean that the women act Norwegian.

Logobenz3:
I write this with a lot of pain and grief. This was a bad one.

I woke up to a call yesterday of a loved one calling me and panting over the phone. I was like sister what's the problem?she shouted Amen upon hearing my voice.
I too, scared had to ask her again what the problem was?

She said that a vessel named Austrheim just sank at sea and knowing I do a lot of business with that route, she just had to call to make sure her loved one was not in it!

Actually I did not travel due to improper schedules of arrival of some of my commodities, making it impossible for my commodities to meet up with departure time of this particular vessel.
I was mad!!!little did I know that I was about to be saved of a huge financial loss that would have crippled me financially and put me in turmoil.
Every disappointment is indeed a blessing like people say.

At this point I just have to believe my mom's prayers actually works!

I was speechless,my heart fell in my stomach because I knew what it meant for me. Lots of money and lives lost!people have perished and livelihoods lost.

But at this point money isn't important but we should all give a moment of silence to the hustling men and women trying to make a living for themselves in those waters.

It left calabar on Saturday morning heading for tiko, Cameroon and never made it. It actually sank in the bakassi peninsula.

Word from survivors say it ran aground due to the captain's negligence and incompetence.

106 people have been rescued so far and I have started seeing missing person pictures of people I know too well and all I could do now is hope it is not what I think yet.
So you this kind of business without insurance coverage? Thats too risky.

Seriously I didn't mean to attack the yorubas but this is why northerners don't trust an average Yoruba Muslim. How can you believe in oneness of Allah and still indulge in all these traditional and fetish festivals. It contradicts the teachings of Islam.

I can categorically say that this is the major reason why we do not like the Muslims from Yoruba land to lead prayer in the north. Though we have a good numbers of Yorubas who dnt mix up their religion with any other thing but they are very rare to find.

I still love Yorubas regardless of their religion cos they are accommodating and good loving people.
How about the stone in that structure in Mecca muslims all face and bow to. Who is fooling who? I guess you may not even know there is a stone there. You all remained colonized practicing another man's religion and then you all travelled to this place to spend millions of dollars. It's all business.

African "development" conference holding in Japan??

We need to check our heads in this continent
This continent is filled with mentally sick people with Nigerians leading the way. I was checking out couple of hotels to stay. One has rooms named after American cities, and I asked the reception why not use names of cities in Africa. She said thats what people like. I replied that Nigerians visiting home would not like that and she said well the hotel owner like it that way. One hotel I am staying has framed pictures of cities across europe all over the reception area and in its restaurant. Not a single of those images show a Nigerian or African city. I can imagine how a foreign visitor how stupid these folks are. They cant even present anything of their own. Nigerians are generally owned mentally.
